Dear Heavenly Father: Thank You for a great day, and all honor and glory is Yours as Dolores' eye surgery went well. Please now keep Your hand on that eye. Father, we have a few new prayer requests. Please look over them and heal them as per Your will. Please heal Barbara, Barbara, and Barbara, also, Lord, Elaine just broke her ankle, please heal it. Touch Grant, Dave, and Curtis. And Your loving healing hand on Burt, Patsy and Vicki. Please keep Your hand on Matthew, and Lord, I really need Your touch. Lord, this is Salvation Wednesday on this line, anoint us to go to Your fields of Harvest and seek out the lost and bring them to You to e saved. Lord, please keep Sean in Your hands, please cover him with Your blood as he seems to be like the lost son You have told us about. Watch over him, please. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Pastor Dan's Safety Tip. Gasoline Expands in the Heat. Gas is stored underground and is cool. If you fill your car full (packing it in, so to speak) and then go park it in the heat, it could expand and come out of the vehicle. Let room for expansion in hot weather. (You know, like men eating a Thanksgiving meal, they open their belt before they start.)
Dear brothers and sisters. Praise God, praise God. We were up early this morning (3:00 AM) to tend animals and then off for the eye surgery. Dolores did very well, all glory to God. Back tomorrow for that first checkup. Thanks for your prayers. Happy Birthday to my singing partner of 20 years, Pamela Sue Bower, turned XX today (Wednesday). We now have three Barbara's on our prayer list. Barbara from York County, PA, (knee problems and others), Barbara from Florida (arthritis), and Barbara from Texas (ALS). Our neighbor, Elaine, broke her ankle while hiking on vacation. And remember to pray today for the unsaved and for the saved to get out and work for the Lord. Pray for Sean who was raised with the Lord and seems to be taking a walk-about now. But we have a promise from God. "Raise them up in the way of the Lord and if they drift they will return." I will cover that soon, it is the story of the "lost son."
Salvation Wednesday: We have new people joining our line, and for them and a reminder to all of us. On Salvation Wednesday we center our personal prayers on the Lost and also we who have been born again to be renewed in Christ.
Wednesday 5/29/2013: Promises Day Two.
Jeremiah 31:14 - I will satisfy the priests with abundance, and my people will be filled with my bounty, declares the Lord. (NIV)
Luke 18:27 - Jesus replied, "What is impossible with men is possible with God." (NIV)
In our First Testament promise today we look at one of the promises found in Jeremiah where God promises an abundance of His bounty to us. Again I remind you that God does not change so the promises made back then stand firm today. The priests will get an abundance, and that means all who share God's word. Priests, pastors, etc., all who are working and sharing God's word. He also promises this to His people. Folks, while God does tell us that He will always supply our needs, here we find the promises of abundance. To me it means our basket will overflow or we cannot out-give the Lord. Again, brothers and sisters, we have God and we must walk out in faith and trust God to supply us. I want you to think about this, all of you, even the poorest of the poor have an abundance, and do not just think of it in "stuff" for we have an abundance of His love. Amen.
In our Second Testament we find out this. All things are possible with God. God can do all things, all of them. Look around you and tell me just one thing good that God did not have His hand upon. I mean, after all, He did make it all in the beginning. Even my old cars, and you folks know I am a car nut. (Some will drop the word car.) God had His hand on. He made man, who built the cars, He put the iron in our ground so it could be mined out. The fuel is even supplied to run them and the millions of other vehicles around the world. But let me leave you with this today.
Have you ever started out to work on something and you did not pray about it first? You got stuck, you worked and worked, but it was just not going well. You could not get this job done. For whatever reason this job was just impossible for you to get done. You might have got upset to the point where you had to walk away from the job or maybe even throw down the tool you were using. And then you stop and talk to God, and He gives you the ability to get the job done. Sometimes it might mean getting someone else to help. Without God we just cannot get it done, but with God, we can do it. My suggestion is that you pray before you start the job. Still with that, we need to "put feet on the prayers."
Okay, enough for tonight. I am falling asleep at the keyboard.
Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for the message, please anoint the message and watch over the delivery of it. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Now go forth this day, asking God for help and sharing those blessings, sharing the abundance that He has given unto you. I love ya. (Pass it on.)
