Monday 5/13/13 Christian Responsibilities

Dear Heavenly Father, thanks for a great Mothers Day.  A day to talk to mothers, about mothers and to remember mothers who have gone on.  Thanks for that blessed day.  Father, thanks for waking us this day, and Dear Lord, as we give You all honor and glory for all things, I know You have given us as Christians, responsibilities.  Help me with the message of this day, and thanks for keeping this line open.  Dear Father, be with Ruth Kessler, as we ask that You heal her and put her back on her feet.  Also, Lord, please be with our son, Matthew, and heal him from his problems and addictions.  I pray today for Dolores, Grant, Wanda, and Pamela, our ministry team, as we move forward with You in our walk each day.  Also, your touch upon Marvin is needed again.  Thanks again for all You do for all of us on this line.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Good afternoon, dear brothers and sisters.  It is a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole.  The rain has cleared the area and the weather is now cool.  In fact, we are to get a few inches of snow tonight.  Okay, I made that one up, just keeping you on your toes.  It is to be cold,  however, so cover up those plants in your garden.  Last week you will recall I started on a message, and I could not finish it up.  I was out there walking on my own, I guess, and was not pulling from God.  So what is being pointed out to me now is if we are going to be Christians it is more than just loving our Lord Jesus, we have responsibilities that come with it.  So today I am going to start working on Christians' Responsibilities.  Please pray this day for people to take their Christian Responsibilities seriously.

Monday, May 13, 2013 - Christians' Responsibilities, Day One.

Romans 12:1 - Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God -- this is your spiritual act of worship.  2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, His good pleasing and perfect will.  (NIV)

When we became "Born Again" regardless of when that happened or where it happened in your life, things did take a change.  You cannot ever be the same once you have come to Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  Unless you are trying to do that in lip service only.  What does that mean?  Well, it means in part you raised your hand and came forth sometime in your life and said you have invited Christ into your heart and life.  But you maybe just spoke it either by your hand signal or by your mouth, but when it comes to living it out, well, you do not get it done.  Again I am saying to you that if you truly gave yourself over to Christ, your life changed.  No one can be the same before you walked with Jesus than when you walk with Him after you become born again.  First of all it is up to Jesus if He accepts us when we offer ourselves up to Him.  I say this because some do not offer up their life fully.  Sort of like having some strings attached.  Brothers and sisters, when you come to Christ, you cannot put in any "fine print."

The Bible tells us here in Romans that in view of God's mercy, and that would be His mercy onus, and He did that by going to the cross for us and dying to take our sins away -- in exchange we need to offer up to him a living sacrifice and that sacrifice would be us.  And no, I do not mean to give your life, but it could come to that someday.  But we need to offer up our bodies to Him.  It means we must now change from doing our will each day to doing His will in our lives each day.  It means walking with Him 24 hours per day and not just one or two hours a week.  It means we must conform to His will and not the will of the world.  As one who has taken Jesus on, and really meant it, we have taken on some really big responsibilities.  Starting tomorrow, I am going to try and bring some of those things in the Bible to life for you.  For today, you can start by praying that God will open your heart to receive Him fully and point out things where you might be messing up.  I had to admit one of those in this message.  You do recall me saying that I walked out on my own last week on a message and God would not let me finish it.  I just drew blanks each day.  So pray, warriors, pray, and tomorrow we will start looking at those responsibilities, and some might surprise you.

Now go forth walking with Jesus 24/7 and sharing those blessings, of course.  Love ya.  Pass it on.

Pastor Dan
