Dear Heavenly Father, thanks for a great weekend, just beautiful and wonderful. Thanks for all that You do for all of us and thanks for giving Your Son, Jesus, to all of us to save us from our sorrowful selves. Please keep watch over our veterans, our military, our nation's leaders and also state leaders, Lord. Be with our police and firefighters and watch over them also. Please, Lord, watch over Your children in Israel and keep them safe. I do pray for peace today and pray that wars would end and You would help us to get The Word of Salvation and the Good News out to everyone, and we pray that You would send Jesus back to us soon. In the meantime, I ask that You keep this line open to do Your work and that You keep evil off the line. Now, dear Father, if You would be so kind to bless me with Your message of today, and help me write it so others will understand it. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, it was a beautiful weekend here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. It is also a beautiful day today. As you know, on Saturday I joined with R.J. Harris and Dan Steele and those workers from WHP Radio for the Support Our Troops Annual Rally on the Capitol steps. There was a really good looking young man working at the rally setting up the sound equipment. His name, Alex Beitzel, son of gospel singer Tim Beitzel. What a fine young man your son is, Tim! Now here is something very exciting that I would like to tell you about. One of the main speakers was the Governor of Pennsylvania, Governor Tom Corbett. I had a chance to talk to him and I asked him if I could anoint him with oil and pray for him. He said yes, so in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, I anointed him with oil and Dolores and I laid hands on him and prayed for him. Please pray for our Governor. Our Governor is also a veteran of the Pennsylvania National Guard.
Through this, God has opened up the message for me, which I am naming "Does God Trust You?" So let's get started.
Monday 5/6/2013 Does God Trust You? Day One.
Mark 16:15 - He said to them, "Go in to all the world and preach the good news to all creation." (NIV)
Our Dear Lord Jesus made this statement as recorded in Mark 16:15 and indeed it is a commandment for all of us. "He said to them." Them meaning the disciples of that day, and today we are the disciples of Jesus (or should be), so this statement was made to all of us. "Go in to all the world land preach the good news to all creation." So I answer the question "Does God Trust You?" The answer of course is "Yes" God loves us, meaning you and me, and indeed He trusts us. Now let me ask all of you this question. Since God told you to "Go in to all the world and preach the good news to all creation," did you go or have you gone? In other words in any way, shape or form, have you carried out the command that Jesus TRUSTED US TO DO?
Our dear Lord Jesus opens ;many, many doors for us to work for Him and trusts us to get that work done. He gives us many choices. On Saturday Jesus opened a door for me, He had me standing right beside the Governor of Pennsylvania, and I know I want to witness for our Lord Jesus to the Governor. So I talked to him and asked that question, may I anoint you in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. God trusted me and with all honor and glory going to Jesus, I (this time) did not fail our good Lord. I have failed Jesus many times in the past, folks, this time I did not. And I try not to fail Him anymore. This week I want to bring out some of those in the Bible that God has asked to carry out work for Him. How many can you think of? You know one for sure, I already covered that. The first person you should know who has been trusted by God is of course you.
Now let's go to the Bible and see who was the very first person trusted by God. The name of this person was Adam, and of course he was given a wife named Eve.
Genesis 2:4 - This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created. When the Lord God made the earth and the heavens 5 and no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and thee was no man to work the ground, 6 but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground 7 the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. 8 Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden, and there he put the man he had formed. 9 And the Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground -- trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. ------------------- 15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden, 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die." (NIV)
Now brothers and sisters, God Trusted Adam to take care of everything. EVERYTHING GOD CREATED WAS TRUSTED TO ADAM, and Adam failed. You know the story, Adam tried to blame Ee, Eve tried to blame the snake, but the fact is, this is the very first place in the Bible that is recorded when God trusted man and man failed. Tomorrow I am going to bring a story to life from the Bible where God trusted a man and the man DID NOT FAIL. Do you know who this might be? And by the way, there are a lot of correct answers, but I am looking for an early entry.
Folks, God does indeed trust you, He really does, so let me ask you this now. Do you trust God enough to do the work that He trusts you to do? Please, folks, trust in God, and while you are at it, please share your blessings. I love ya, pass it on.
