Tuesday Aug. 9, 2011 Never Alone 2

"I can do everything through Him who gives me strength."

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Tuesday, and today we pray for all those folks who have those dreaded things like cancer, kidney failure, heart problems, etc. and one other thing, those who suffer pain, back pain, leg pain, just plain old pain that sometimes doctors can't even find out what is causing it, so they might think you would even be faking it. While I am sure there are people who "fake pain", most often to get on welfare or stay on it, or for some reason get on "workers comp", I think those people are few and far between. When I managed buses for a very large school district and I would have drivers or mechanics call off sick with back pain, I learned to tell who was faking it and who had the real pain. And if you are interested in how I tell, just email me and I will let you know.

Never Alone: day 2: Philippians 4:13 - "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength." (NIV)

So pray today for all those groups of people and if you please would center those prayers on God taking away some of the pain. Oh, and folks, as you pray and you have heavy pain, it is ok to cry, it really is. And if you go to your room and cry so no one knows that you are crying, remember this, in that quiet place, as you whimper and pray, know that God is with you and you are indeed not alone. And also confess to God that you do need His help, that without Him we can do nothing, nothing, I say. But look at the scripture that God gave me for today... "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength."

I CAN DO EVERYTHING, It does not say, I can get up today and push through the pain, it tells you, that you can do everything and that means everything you want to do. God is so good and I just want to impress upon you that indeed you have a person, and God in your corner and He will take care of you.

One of the things I always try and remember is just how much God has done for me, and of course for you. If you think for one minute that Jesus would go to the cross for you, and die for you, and He would suffer great pain for You, and of course for me. If God would let His Son Jesus be spit on, be made fun of, be put on the cross, with thorns in His head and nails driven into His hands and feet, and a sword driven into His side. If you think that Jesus would let all that happen for you and for me, and then when we hurt, He would walk away from us, when we have cancer He would forsake us, or when our back is burning with pain, He would let us stand alone, YOU ARE WRONG. Our Lord Jesus went through all these things for You and me so we would come to Him... So be you in public, be you in a group, or you be in private, when you hurt, and you can't stand it just call out like this... "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus," do it quiet when in a group, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus" and keep calling on Him... "Help me Jesus, I can't do this without You, Jesus." And you will find that you can pull strength from Him... Remember it, "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength." And add this, without Him, I can do nothing.

Brothers and sisters, I am having one of those days right now and in fact, I am leaving in 20 minutes to go to the Bridges with Dolores and have a sing-a-long, and the only way this is going to get done is if I lean on Jesus, so softly I am calling out. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, are you in pain today, I know of at least three, maybe four or five that could be that way right now. Come on with me, real soft today, let's call on Jesus, let's let this be our prayer today... Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, come and take away my pain, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, come and help me today, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, I need You right now to make my next step holding me up... help me, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, thank You Jesus...

Folks, share the love of Jesus with others, share your blessings about Jesus with others and share those blessings piled on you with others in the name of Jesus. I love ya, Pastor Dan.

Remember this as I say it one more time... "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength."
