Friday August 5, 2011 Heaven or Hell? 5

The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Friday and the day we pray for all those who go out in the fields of Harvest and work for our Lord Jesus, telling of the Good News, as commanded by Him...

It is a fine Friday here at the Southern Location of the North Pole, and we welcome some new families on the line with us again this week. An update on Dolores from yesterday, Dolores will once again need a new right knee, this will be the third replacement knee. She be entering the hospital on August 23rd. With God's will the surgery will go fine, and she will be back at the piano at the Bridges in a few weeks and will be ready to hit the road as Mrs. Claus the first week of November. Christmas is a coming and the goose is getting fat... Buy your snow shovel now, and men, get a plastic one, it is a lot lighter for your wife to use (just kidding, folks).

Revelations 21:21 - The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass. (NIV)

A very, very rich old man who loved the Lord with all his heart had been talking to God daily about bringing something into heaven when he died. God had told him the rules, you came into the world with nothing and that is the way you go out. The man did not give up, however, saying to God, each time I give away my riches you keep giving me more, so please may I bring some of my favorite things to heaven with me? After weeks and weeks of these prayers God gave in and told the man he could bring one suitcase full of whatever it was he valued so much. God also told him to pack soon because He was calling him home soon. So the man packed a suitcase full of Gold Bars and put it beside his bed. The Lord called him home and the man appeared at the gate with, well St. Peter, of course. St. Peter told him to put the suitcase down and come on in. But the man told of talking to God, so St. Peter called God on his cell phone (that was for effect) and God told St. Peter, yes I promised he could bring one suitcase full of his most valued thing from earth. Please check it for me and let me know what he values so much. So St. Peter opened the gate and the man picked up his suitcase full of Gold Bars and entered... St. Peter told the man to open the bag as God wanted him to report on what was in the grip. When the man opened the bag, St. Peter looked in and said to the man "You brought pavement?"

Why did I tell you this story, just to show you that what is valued most highly as far as riches on this earth, we will be walking on in Heaven someday. By the way, our stock market dropped in value yesterday and so did Gold, EXCEPT IN HEAVEN WHERE WE STILL WILL WALK ON IT......someone yell out real load, like this THANK YOU JESUS!

Over the years people have asked me, do you think we can have a dog in heaven? Yes, I believe we will have pets in Heaven, but we are going to have things so much better than that. Think about meeting up with old friends, and best of all, sitting right in the circle with Jesus. Think of walking down the street and then standing on the corner and singing that old song, "Standing on the corner watching all and then the words would change, instead of it being Standing on the corner watching all the girls go by, it would be like this, Standing on the corner watching all the saints go by (there is a song title for you song writers). And think of this, you are watching all the other saints go by when you see Jesus walking along with St. Paul, and maybe even your mamma, St. Mamma, gosh does it get better then that?

Oh when the Saints go marching in, Oh when the Saints go marching in, oh Lord, I want to be in that number WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHING IN.

Oh when the Saints go marching in, Oh when the Saints go marching in, oh Lord, I want to be in that number WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHING IN.

Oh when the Saints go marching in, Oh when the Saints go marching in, oh Lord, I want to be in that number WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHING IN.

I cannot think of a better way to wrap up a week of heaven and hell than by singing that song.

Let's pray first...

Dear Father in Heaven, I pray today for You to keep assigning me things to do for You, help us to work the fields of harvest and not stop till we are called home. Lord. hear our prayers this day in the name of Jesus... Amen.

Go forth and share your blessings and share the good good news of Jesus... I love ya, Pastor Dan.

Oh when the Saints go marching in, Oh when the Saints go marching in, oh Lord, I want to be in that number WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHING IN. Oh Yes,

Oh when the Saints go marching in, Oh when the Saints go marching in, oh Lord, I want to be in that number WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHING IN. Come on, get it on your mind...

Oh when the Saints go marching in, Oh when the Saints go marching in, oh Lord, I want to be in that number WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHING IN... again and again, sing it all day long.

Oh when the Saints go marching in, Oh when the Saints go marching in, oh Lord, I want to be in that number WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHING IN... Sing it till I get back, (must go potty)

Oh when the Saints go marching in, Oh when the Saints go marching in, oh Lord, I want to be in that number WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHING IN...
