October 6, 2010 In The Beginning 3

And God Said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place and let dry ground appear. And it was so."

Good Salvation Wednesday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. What a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Today we pray for the unsaved and for those of us who are saved, Born Again, Washed in the Blood, to go and help bring in the lost, the unsaved.

Please add the following to your praying for cancer list. Noah Mummert – a 3 year old has been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on his kidney. Please pray for his healing and for peace as the family waits upon you. Please pray for Rich and his wife Carole. Rich has just been diagnosed with lung cancer and only has 3-6 months to live. Last week his one lung collapsed. Also pray for the remainder of the family as they help Carole and Rich deal with the situation. They are a very close knit family. Updates as I receive them... Please keep praying for Kathleen Sansoni, who goes for treatments and then goes to work. Also for Ron Leigh who although has cancer still does not miss a chance to give praises to God and to talk to others about God. It seems to me I am missing one or two of our prayers for cancer people, but folks, I cleaned out my incoming and outgoing mail and guess what... Yes, I had a senior day and messed up.

In The Beginning 3: Genesis 1:9 - And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place and let dry ground appear. And it was so." 10 God called the dry ground "land" and the gathered waters He called "seas". And God saw that it was good. 11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation; see bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: Plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning the third day. (NIV)

Wow, a lot of scripture for the third day of creation... By now you can pick up on the fact that God's favorite sport is baseball. You can tell because it states "In the big inning." Stop it, Dan, and get back on the message. OK! Let's get looking into the scriptures. Again today the first thing that jumps out at me is And God Said! These three words have appeared all three days of creation, meaning that God is speaking all of this. He is not out, hands-on, so to speak. He is just talking this into creation. Beside the fact that He is creating with His voice what else does it tell me? It tells me that what comes out of one's mouth is powerful and in God's case does good work, sadly so many people when they speak hurt others and some on purpose. And no time is it done more often than just before election. If people, all of the people, which means me and you, would be sure what comes out has been run through our hearts and brains we would be better off, and we also should remember if it is not true or fact, we should not say it...

Now let's look at what God did on this third day. He made land by gathering the water around it. Although He called the waters, the sea, we also know the waters as oceans, seas, rivers, creeks, streams, lakes, and yes, over the years, man has made lakes and even rerouted rivers and creeks and streams, but one thing man still cannot do is make the water and I don't think man will ever be able to do it. Man has gained the knowledge of pumping water up out of the ground, turning sea water into fresh water, etc. But without God, sorry folks, no water, none, zip. No shower in the morning (I don't want to sit beside you). Nothing like a shower in the morning, folks. Here is a homework assignment for you... If you did not have water, what could you not do, like take a shower or bath? Remember no water at all, what would happen?

Now in the scriptures today on this third day of creation, we also see that God created vegetation, and vegetation we can eat and notice that God made them with seeds in them. Why? So we could plant them and make more vegetation, more food. This is why some of the missionaries that are going into foreign lands are teaching people how to grow food, not just handing them the food. Dare I say we should be doing this in our country? How about all those getting an unemployment or welfare check be required to report a few days a week to local farms and help with the growing of food? I am for that!! And think then people would not need to sneak into the United States for those farm jobs as others, the unemployed would be doing them. I bet people would find jobs faster in a lot of cases if that were the law. Oops got off subject again. Ok, what else can we pick out of those scriptures today? How about this?

God saw it was good! Do you notice as God speaks creation, He also checked out His work and saw that it was good. Could we learn a lesson here, folks, a lesson from God in the early part of creation? How about when we do a part of our job each day if we just took a few minutes and looked at it to make sure we could say this. And I (meaning the one who did the work) -- And I saw that it was good. So then after checking your work you moved on, just as God did. Gosh, does God set good examples or what? Yes, God right from the beginning sets examples for us to follow... Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven, I am happy that I am saved and I thank You for it, for You sent Your Son to save me. Now Father, use me to help bring the lost to the feet of my Lord Jesus to be saved. I pray today for the hearts of the unsaved to be opened. I pray for those who might think they are saved and truly do not understand what it means to be Born Again. Lord. please heal those on our prayer lists today... In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Now go forth and share your blessings and help bring in the lost today, share with them the good news of Salvation through Jesus. Have I told you lately that you may forward my writings to anyone you choose without checking with me? But never, ever feel like you must... No disclaimers on this line. love ya, Pastor Dan.
