Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there He put the man He had formed.
Good Salvation Wednesday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. I am sorry I am late this morning, I have been taking out the trash and feeding animals after a wonderful, blessed night of sleep. I did get to sleep late as I was watching those miners being brought up out of the earth. Please keep praying that all goes well. I watch one step out of the capsule and get on his knees and thank God. They are now at number 13. Did you know that the drilling company that is doing the work is from Pennsylvania? Pray warriors, pray. And pray for the unsaved, and pray for God to use we who are saved.
Creation Moves Ahead 3: Genesis 2:8 - Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there He put the man He had formed. 9 And the Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground. Trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. 10 A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, what jumps out at you today? Here are a few of the things that jump out at me... The Lord God HAD planted a garden. Once again we see that before God made man, He got everything ready for Him. Think about it, all of creation was done before man was made. Here we see that God had already made man a place to live and had the food ready for him. What can we learn from that at this point? Remember, we have not talked about the first lady as of this day. So let me ask the men, and yes, you ladies can also reply if you wish... Men, and I wish I would have known this years ago, so teach the young ones... Before the men should go looking for their honey, they should get ready for them. Before they go looking for their forever love, maybe they should have their house all ready or at least the money for it put back. We all too often do not get it in the right order. But today God pointed out to me that before He even made man, He had everything but one in place for Him. What was the one thing that was not in place? Tomorrow we find that out. But today God is pointing out to me that before He made us, He had a nice place for us.
Something else that jumps out at me is that God had also made the plans for the trees to be watered, for the garden to grow. Do you plan your garden or what you are going to plant each year or are you like me... I, at the last minute, turn the earth, plant way to much stuff and then after the groundhogs start eating at it, I put the fence up, and after the weeds are killing things I tell Dolores, I am never planting another garden. I can plant stuff and I know weeds grow and I know I can no longer pull them, so why don't I plan ahead and put things between the plants and also put the fence up before things grow? So God, thanks for pointing out this to me! Again! And brothers and sister, this is not in just planning your garden, we should be making plans in advance for all things we do. Even as I near 70 I seem to shoot a lot from the hip. But to take the name of a song, "He's still working on me," I wonder if God ever thinks, I made all of this in six days and I have been working on that guy called Dan for near 70 years and I am still not done. How long would you work on any project before you would just give up on it? Praise God, praise be to God for He does not give up on us...
I just paused for a minute to watch another miner coming up. He got out of the capsule and hugged his love ones, and you could see, he had a cross painted on the back of his helmet. Since they did not have paint, when was the cross put on? These men are alive, because they trusted God...
Pace on point.., Yes, praise God for God does not give up on us, but how often have we given up on Him? It is clear to me that God has me running late for a few reasons today and it might have been just to show me that these miners have not given up on Him. Do you think there is a non-believer in that group of men, or their families today?
He's still working on me, to make me what I should be...
Dear Father in Heaven, please, till the day we all come home don't stop working on us as we want to grow more and more in love with You daily and want to learn more and more about you. Be with those miners and their families, and Lord, bring them all up and also those who went down in the mine to help them out. Praise You Jesus for that Pennsylvania crew and all others helping in that mine. Also, Lord, help us this day to find the unsaved and bring them to your feet. Lead us to the unsaved and let us work for You, and thanks for trusting us to work for You... In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and please remember this, in all that you do, in all that you do, keep God first, and also share your blessings. Tomorrow, the woman comes... Love ya, Pastor Dan.
