October 29, 2010 And The Rains Came 1

In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, on the seventeenth day of the second month on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.

Good Friday Morning to you from our beloved earthly home here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Yes, I saw Batman and Robin, a few witches, and some ghosts at the end of our driveway last night as the children came to pick up candy... I confess I had to purchase that candy, peanut butter cups three times before last night because I ate most of it. I was sitting in the back of one of my hearses and the kids came to "Santa" early. Yes, the kids in this neighborhood know that this old Santa is real and loves Jesus. Just so you know, I NEVER fix my hearses up for this empty hotdog holiday, I belong to the professional car society and we just do not do that. (empty hotdog = Hollow Weiner). Ok folks, next holiday, November 11th Veterans Day. And today, well, it is the first day of the rest of your life so let's get it done right. Let's pray for all those who go out and work the fields of Harvest, and let's go out ourselves and get working for Jesus telling the Good News to all creation as ordered, commanded by Jesus (Mark 16:15).

And The Rains Came 5: Genesis 7:1 - The Lord then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. 2 Take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, and a male and its mate, and two off every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. 4 Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made. 5 And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him. (NIV)

Genesis 7:11 - In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, on the seventeenth day of the second month on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. 12 And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights. (NIV)

And The Rains Came, and came and came. Genesis 7:17 - For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth. (NIV)

Ok, let's review the scriptures of today. First I notice that once again The Lord was talking to Noah. Brothers and Sisters, I can't tell you this too often, The Lord talked to Adam and Eve, to Cain and Able and to Noah and his family. Now He also must have talked to the animals because they came to the Ark, Noah did not need to go and fetch them. Then The Lord "commanded" Noah "Go into the ark." And of course God told Noah again whom to take on board, and while most people think he only loaded his family and two of each animal, and bird, a male and female, God also told Noah to take seven of the clean animals, a male and his mate. God also ordered on board seven of the birds, making sure there were males and females. Why seven of the animals and birds? And notice it said seven of the clean animals. Why? Food, my dear friends, food. Noah and his family had to eat and so did the animals.

Now here is something that really stands out to me... Noah, now six hundred years old, did everything the Lord commanded of him. The Lord commanded and Noah did it all, EVERYTHING THE LORD COMMANDED OF HIM. The Lord has commanded things of us, but gave us free will to do as we please and a lot of times we have pleased ourselves and sort of forgot those commands of our Lord God. "Sort of forgot?" No, we have been out and out sinners! What would have happened if Noah did not listen to God and obeyed His orders? The earth might not have ever been again. But Noah listened and all that God wanted on the Ark were on, the door was closed, and the Flood covered the earth, and all mankind was wiped out except those in the Ark.

Next week we find out how long Noah and all were on the Ark and how the New Earth would get a restart. Today we end with the biggest boat of that time floating on the surface of the water... All on board safe, THANKS TO GOD. The others on earth, gone, why? because of their sin!!

Dear Father on earth, we are indeed sinners and we need to be forgiven. Lord, thanks for the messages of this week on Noah and his family and how the animals even listened to You. Lord, I pray today that we all will follow your commands and listen to You always, and Lord, for that we really do need Your help. Help us to walk with Jesus daily and when we slip, please help us right back up, help us to repent and get back in step with You... In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Now go forth, sharing with others from your mass collection of blessings and after you share from them, God will bless you even more... Love Ya, Pastor Dan.

October 28, 2010 And The Rains Came 4

"I am going to bring flood waters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish."

Good Thursday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. What a great morning to be alive and alive in Jesus. Come on, my brothers and sisters, rise and shine and walk the day with Jesus, forget those aches and pains for today, ask God to carry them, and just do your very best to hang on for the ride.

Today is the day we pray for our schools and our families and when praying please as you pray, pray for my family as I pray for yours. And be sure to pray for the "family of God." When praying for schools today, and when I say praying for schools I am not talking about the buildings, I am talking about the people who go through the doors, and please ask God to look real close at the inter-city schools and to touch those kids and send them good, real good God fearing teachers.

And The Rains Came 4: Genesis 6:17 - "I am going to bring flood waters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. 18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark --- you and your sons and your wife and your sons' wives with you. 19 You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you. 20 Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to to be kept alive. 21 You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as for you and for them." 22 Noah did everything just as God commanded him. (NIV)

Let's take a look at the scriptures of today and see how it looks to us. See what God might give me today. Again we see God talking to Noah, talking to Noah as He talked to Adam and Eve, and to Cain and Abel, and as He talks to us. My question once again is, do we listen, do we really listen for God to talk to us? Trust me when I say God does talk to each and every one of us, He does not pick and choose. He talks to all of us regardless of age, of sex, of race, of religion, He talks to those who cannot hear. When God speaks we all need to listen. And folks, listen with your heart and your mind and brain. Most often you will not hear Him with Your ears.

Now as he talks to Noah, He is laying out what I would call Noah's marching orders, what He wants Noah to do. Yesterday we looked at the size of the Ark that God commanded Noah to build, and that alone would have scared off most all people. Think about it, you are married, you have three sons and they all are married, and that's it for your help, well except for one helper, and that was? God of course! Brothers and Sisters, the older I get the smarter I am getting, for I have figured out that if I want to get ANYTHING done I need to get God in on it from the start. How about you, do you start projects, big or small, by asking God to work with you? If you don't, why not ask him early on, as in the start of each day to be with you in all things, and when you start something at work, pray about it first? Ok, lets move on...

God said: "I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark --- you and your sons and your wife and your sons' wives with you." Now we touched on the family, but I want you to look at one word here, "Covenant." In other words God made Noah a promise, a very big promise and I ask you today, do you know what that promise is and the reminder that God is using to this day to remind Him of the promise to Noah and his family?

Then God told Noah who to bring on board and I want you to notice that God commanded Noah to bring on two of each kind, ONE MALE AND ONE FEMALE. Folks, here it is again, God did not order couples of two males or two females, not in the people (Noah and his family and his son) nor in the animals. Couples were then and still should be now, one male and one female. The only time in the Bible where you will find a male married to a male is when we get to heaven and we are all married to Christ. As Neil Enloe wrote in a song... "Next time I get married, I'm going to be the bride." Ok, moving on...

Now listen to this from Genesis 6:20 - Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to to be kept alive. (NIV) Please note that the birds, animals and creatures are all going to come to Noah. Noah does not need to go and trap them, or hunt them down and bring them in, they just lined up when the Ark was done. Now folks, some will not believe that, but I do, and why... BECAUSE IT IS IN MY BIBLE!!

Can you just picture your neighbors if you built a really big boat, an Ark in your yard and then the animals would come and line up? The neighbors drive by your hunk of ground and see this, and yes, they see a Lion and his mate, and two big old bears. Now I would be doing it, my neighbors might just say, well old Dan is at it again and this time he crossed the line. But I have neighbors who know the Lord and would be just well might have been called on by God to do this project if it were to have happened today instead of back then. I could see it, "Art, I want you to build an Ark and bring Elaine with you." While we know an Ark will never be needed again, I am just pointing out this... Are you like Noah and Mrs. Noah and my dear, dear neighbors like Art and Elaine who I am sure would answer the call for God. In fact, it was just about three years ago when they did answer the call, put things aside and went to the "Check Republic" (I am sure I messed that spelling up) on a mission trip. That is answering the call... HAVE YOU BEEN CALLED BY GOD? DID YOU ANSWER THE CALL? Ok, enough for today, tomorrow we get in the Ark, bring on the animals, and close the door, and then, and then and The Rains Came...

Dear Father in Heaven, please help us to answer the call from You, and to do the work the best we can to please You. Be in our schools, Lord, and in our families, and I ask this in Jesus' name... Amen.

Now go forth sharing those blessings and answering the call from Jesus when He commands you to work for Him... Love ya, Pastor Dan.

October 27, 2010 And The Rains Came 3

Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, it is Wednesday, Salvation Wednesday on this line.
So today we ask God to send us out to seek out the lost and tell them the Good News about our Lord Jesus and Salvation through Him. First we need to be sure we are saved, and then we share with others. Please remember that only Jesus can save the soul, but we can offer to others the Love of Jesus and tell them the steps to Heaven.

There is a prayer request in from John Henry Riddlesberger who is on a cross country drive in his Jeep. Big John, as I respectfully call my brother in Christ, has offered up this prayer as this coming Friday is World Cancer Day. Thanks for the prayer John, enjoy the rest of your "big ride".

Dear God, I pray for a cure for cancer, and that you will touch all those suffering from cancer with your loving hand, you who are the greatest physician of all. Grant unto them healing, courage, wisdom, strength and peace. Please guide the hands and minds of all those who are researching for a cure for this dreaded illness. In Jesus' beautiful name we pray. Amen

And The Rains Came 3: Genesis 6:8 - But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. 9 This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time and he walked with God. 10 Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth. 11 Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah, "I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth. (NIV)

Wow, God is angry, and we talked about that yesterday. But one man, Noah, was found to be in favor of God. As you can see "Noah walked with God". Brothers and sisters, I just brought it out how if we are truly a Christian, we are walking with Jesus. So I ask you this question, if this was to happen today, meaning God is going to destroy man and earth, would God find favor in you? While none of us would be found blameless in the eyes of God, unless we are saved by the blood of Jesus, would you fit that picture? Folks, we need to be walking with God all the time, not just on Sunday for a few hours. In verse 10 the Bible tells us that Noah had three sons, one of them a "Ham" (ok, I must joke a little), three sons, and of course Noah, and his wife and Shem, Ham and Japheth, and their wives were about to get the job of their lives. Let's go back to the Word of God and take a look at this job. Speaking of jobs, please pray for Mark, who really needs to find work. Notice please I said work, as Mark does not mind work.

Genesis 6:14 - So make yourself an ark of cypress wood: Make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. 15 This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be 450 feet long 75 feet wide and 45 feet high. 16 Make a roof for it and finish the ark to within 18 inches of the top. Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks. (NIV)

My study Bible translates the measurements into feet, if I go to the King James Bible I find the size in Cubits but since I would need to ask God, what's a cubit, I just thought the New International Version of the Bible would tell it best. Ok, God really handed them a job, but thank God, God is not like most of us as when we decide we want something most of it want it done yesterday. So think of it, God would come to us and tell us to build this Ark. 450 feet long, brothers and sisters, have you been to a football game, picture it, this Ark would be longer than the football field including the end zones and it would about half as wide and it would be about four stories high. So God walks up to you and tells you, I have found favor in you and I want you to build me this Ark, this really big boat and He gives you all the sizes and directions and you might say... "you've got to be kidding!" I don't think we could ever build it today, well, till we would get all the permits, and waivers it would take years just for the paperwork. And think about when you call Lowes or Home Depot and asked for that much lumber and then would say, make it cypress wood, oh and then you ask for that pitch, or tar. Think of the job, but more so I want you to think of this on this Salvation Wednesday, would God really be able to find favor in you? I think this is a good time today to just stop and pray for God to clean us. Let's go to Him and ask in the name of Jesus to be washed clean. If we do this and then really repent of our sins and walk with God, when the end comes, and it is coming, God will find favor in us. Don't worry, we will not need to build that really big boat, but we have our orders also and that is to Go into all the world and preach and teach the Good News. (Mark 16:15) Ready? Let's get back in favor of God...

Dear Father in Heaven, I confess to You that I am a sinner and I ask You right now, in the name of Jesus that You would wash me clean with the blood of Jesus. Wash away all my sins and start me over clean again, and Lord, I just know I cannot do this alone, so help me walk with You, I really want to walk with You daily so block evil from my mind, from my sight, and from my heart and help me start 100% with You... In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Now go forth sharing your blessings, holding onto Jesus' hand and walk with Him daily...
Love ya, Pastor Dan.

October 26, 2010 And The Rains Came 2

The Lord saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Tuesday and the day we pray for cures for those terrible diseases that take so many lives... diseases like cancers, kidney, liver, heart, diabetes, HIV, and more. We pray for those who have these diseases to be healed. It is time we also pray for the cure so no one gets them again. Do you remember TB? God loaned man talent to overcome that one. Also please pray for Sharon Saylor who is under the weather, and for my dear sweet wife. I had a nice long talk with Donna and Ron the other night and Ronald who has/had cancer is claiming the victory through Jesus. Yes, there is still cancer in his body, but he is getting better. What wonderful and great believers. My dear friends from the south, Tom and Kathleen (whom I married) are doing the same. Kathleen is riddled with cancer and she gets treatments and goes off to work.

Please pray for Pastor Charles as he fights back from a stroke and Pastor Tony as, well, he is just slowing down and of course we need to pray also for their wives, Kathleen and Ruby as they "stand by their man" in the name of God... Also pray for Carry Willow who broke her hip.

PRAISE REPORT... The TV promo went well yesterday and we have had one call already from someone who makes toys. While we do not push for toys for our Ministry, we do take them. Some go to the poor and needy; however, most are used by Santa to hand to children and tell them the REAL MEANING OF CHRISTMAS. In other words, toys are used to feed the soul.

And The Rains Came 2: Genesis 6:5 - The Lord saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. 6 The Lord was grieved that He had made man on the earth, and His heart was filled with pain. 7 So the Lord said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth. Men and animals and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air, for I am grieved that I have made them." (NIV) (NIV brothers and sisters is the New International Version of the Bible.)

So let's take a look at the scriptures that God gave me for today. And folks, although I am following creation and going forward in Genesis, I have prayed and just this morning if God wants me to change direction, I will follow His lead. In Genesis 6:5 we see that our Lord God saw man's wickedness and of course all the sins that were going on. God also noticed and believed that man was not going to change and that man's thoughts were just evil. Now I ask you, has much changed today? Has man really changed today? Are not men and women still being evil? I want you to think about it. Look around you, read the paper, is not evil taking over the world, taking over the United States of America, taking over the State you live in, and even taking over your own community? I want you to think about it as we go forward this week on the messages of "And The Rains Came".

Now let's look at Genesis 6:6 - The Lord was Grieved that He had made man! God was upset, He was upset that He had made man. All else in creation was working, and folks, still is, but man was evil, and folks, may I say, still is. Think about this, our creator, our loving Lord, was that upset that He made us. Where you ever that upset with a child of yours that you wished you had not made them?

As I see it God made one big mistake in creation, one really big mistake... What, am I saying God made a mistake? Well, yes, but He did make it for what should have been good. The mistake God made was giving man free will, letting His children do what they wanted to do on their own, no strings attached, so to speak. We were not Howdy Doody folks, God did not and does not control us like a puppet. Anyway, God was grieved and upset, for man had failed. The Bible said "His heart was filled with Pain." How often has your heart been filled with pain because of the actions of a loved one, one or more of your children? How often have you sat bedside with them when their actions have caused them pain, which also has given you great pain?

So we see in Genesis 6:7 - So the Lord said, "I will wipe mankind, who I have created, from the face of the earth." Now folks, if you are upset with your children, please do not follow the lead of our Lord on this one... If you feel that way, GET HELP FOR YOURSELF.

How upset God must have been to say He was going to wipe mankind from the face of the earth. I want you to really think about that till tomorrow when we start to look at how God is going to do it, and who He might save. I also want you to think about this also, it is going to happen again, we just do not know when. I said that, it will happen again, it just a matter of time! Please do not dwell on the when part but what you can do to help people get through it and there is only one way to be saved from it. And the word Saved should give that clue for you. Let's pray.

Dear Father in Heaven, Thanks for making us, and Lord, I do want to tell You that I am sorry for all the times I have made You grieve. Thanks for forgiving me, and Lord, I need help to repent and walk with You daily. Lord, hear our prayers for today and answer them according to Your will. Lord, help us on this line be a Noah, so that You find favor in us. Put us to work for You. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Oh, and Lord, thanks for yesterday and the news plugs for the food Pantry... Thank You Lord... Amen.

October 25, 2010 And The Rains Came

When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful and they married any of them they chose.

Good Monday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is a beautiful morning here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. In just three hours, at 4:00 AM, I will be pulling out from here to travel to the Antique Auto Club of America Museum just outside of Hershey Pa. Between the hours of 5.00 AM and 7.00 AM WGAL TV 8 out of Lancaster Pa, will be doing LIVE takes on the Museum's efforts of collecting food for Carry The Light Ministries. This is the fourth year that an antique pickup truck has been placed right inside the front doors of the museum for people to fill with food and new toys for our mission of feeding the hungry. Last year we emptied the truck FOUR times. I do not know if I will be on camera on not, but have been invited to be there. Please pray for this event, and remember that you may use this world class museum to drop off food, and while you are there you might just want to look around. There are cars set in period time, there is a very large model railroad, an old 40's style diner inside the museum and yes, antique buses. You can see a very rare Checker bus, made by the people who built those Checker Cabs, the bus from movie Forest Gump is there, oh, and on display right now is Betty White's old caddy. There are so many, and we are humbled to have their support again this year. Oh, and there are antique motorcycles also on display. Tickets for the museum are under 10 bucks and would make wonderful Christmas gifts for your loved ones.

Also Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there on the Friday after Thanksgiving in the afternoon, and since I never met a lot of you, COME ON DOWN! Now while that might seem like a big plug for the museum, and it was, but indeed they are working for the Lord and helping feed the hungry and that is just one reason why this museum is world class.

Monday and the day we pray for our leaders in Washington and for our veterans, military, police, firefighters, and all those working to keep us safe and healthy...

And The Rains Came (Day one): Genesis 6:1 - When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful and they married any of them they chose. 3 Then the Lord said, "My Spirit will not contend with man forever for he is mortal, his days will be a hundred and twenty years. 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days and also afterward when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. There were the heroes of old, men of renown. (NIV)

As we see in these scriptures that men were increasing in number and up to that time man was living a long, long time. Adam made more children after Cain and Able and in fact lived 800 years after Seth was born and he fathered other sons and daughters, and died at the age of 930. Others also lived those long lives, and if you would take time to read Genesis Chapter 5 you would find out some of these ages. I mean, some of these folks were near a thousand years old, almost as old as Duane Nicholson (just kidding Duane).

Now we see that the daughters of men were beautiful and the men saw this and they married any of them they chose. This made the Lord somewhat angry and He said His spirit will not contend with man forever for he is mortal. And God set their age at one hundred and twenty. And please note today, have you heard of anyone over the age of 120, I have not. The Nephilim's were there and Nephilim means men of great size and strength and they were heroes of old, men of renown. But God saw that they were sinners, or fallen ones. Now I want to point out some of the same things today. I think it amazing just how a lot of things are still the same, including the same old sins. It seems that today a lot of men and even women make heroes out of those who sin. Sports figures come to my mind in a hurry. Let's look at a few of them... How about the juice, while all of us who watched the trial think that man was guilty of murder, he walked and some to this day think he is a hero. And there is the Tiger, old Tiger Woods, who is back on the golf course and in the limelight each time he plays. Now I could name more and more of them, but you get the idea, and folks, I could name a few in Washington. And while all of us are sinners and only saved by the grace of God, and folks, so will those I named be saved if they come to Jesus, but all of us have sinned, but the difference is that some are ashamed of their sins, while others seem to be made heroes. I know that for me, I am ashamed of my sins and very unworthy of God cleaning me up, but so thankful He did. I pray that all of you as you look back over your life, will not try and be a hero from your sins. Learn from your sins and give them to God, and again I tell you this, after you have given them to God, do not, I say, do not let man hold them against you. If they try, take time to inform them that God cleared you of those sins.

Enough for this day, my dear brothers and sisters, but coming up this week we are going to help build a boat, we are going to take a look at those who God respected most. And what happened to all the sinners of the world back then and we continue with "And The Rains Came".

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for another day of life, and thanks for the wonderful folks at the Museum for helping us collect the food, and thanks for all those who work to fill that truck and all the food carts placed in different businesses and churches. Thanks, Lord, for Pastor Larry Hale and his flock who are filling a food cart for us, while they have their own food panty at their church, bless them, Lord. I pray today, Lord, for our leaders in Washington and around the country, and Lord, with the elections coming I pray that each time they tell a lie, they remember we must pay for them later when we come to You. Lord, bless them and help us to elect those who most walk with You. And speaking of walking with You, Lord, help all of us on this line, regardless of our ills and ailments, walk with You daily. Bless my dear brother and sister, Ron and Donna, as they indeed walk with you, and also Tom and Kathleen as they walk with you as these couples struggle with cancer in the family. Lord, please watch over our veterans and help people remember that we have wounded veterans who are in the hospital from WW2 and we have them there who are 18 years of age. Lord, sometimes we forget those young men and women who are giving limbs and other body parts for us to be free. And Lord, bless the families of those who gave it all. Lord, bless the others on our prayer list today and Lord, help me represent You well if they put me on camera today, give me the right words to say. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Go forth now, caring for others and sharing your blessings... Love Ya, Pastor Dan.

October 22, 2010 The First Family 5

Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, it is Friday and the day we pray for all those who work the fields of harvest for our Lord God. Also pray for Vicki, I don't know what happened to her, I have not heard from her for a while now, she at one time updated me daily. (Just came in while I was writing, an update from Vicki and I will post it at the end of my message.)

We have been turned down from getting food from the big food bank in our area ... reasons, One we pray with all people who come for food, and we talk to them about Salvation, if we join the food bank we must "give up the right". We can pray with people only if they want it, but cannot hold back food if they don't pray. Folks, telling people about Salvation through our Lord Jesus is number one with our food pantry and they need food for their soul and then food for the belly. Next we would need to relocate our food pantry, as we cannot operate out of the basement of our home. They suggested we get a big truck and do a delivery food bank. Folks, with the help of God and all of you and others who help us collect food, we will go forward. We served over 100 families last Christmas and we have people coming all the time and up till now we have never turned anyone away... And WE WILL NOT BECAUSE WE HAVE JESUS!!! AMEN.

The First Family 5: Genesis 4:10 - The Lord said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out from the ground. 11 Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. 12 When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth. 13 Cain said to the Lord, "My punishment is more I can bear. 14 Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence. I will be a restless wanderer on the earth and whoever finds me will kill me." 15 But the Lord said to him, "Not so, if anyone kills Cain he will suffer vengeance seven times over." Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him. (NIV)

THE FIRST MURDER!! And it is within the family. Today we look at the punishment from God. Let's see what jumps out at us today. Once again, and I cannot bring this out too often, God is talking to Cain. The Lord said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out from the ground." So God is talking and we might ask this question, how can blood cry out from the ground?

Hebrews 11:4 - By Faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as a righteous man, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead. (NIV)

This might clear up some questions that came in early this week about Cain's gift not being accepted as Abel's gift was. Abel brought in the firstborn of his flock and the fat thereof. I had to research this out of other editions of the Bible, and I used the King James for that. With Cain, there is no mention of the first fruits of his crops. So I believe that showed the faith that Abel had in God, by giving off the top. Since the Bible does not tell us that Cain brought in from the first of his fruits of his labor, I think it showed lack of faith. You remember me talking about giving from the top and not just something that is left.

Hebrews 12:24 - To Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. (NIV)

The blood of Abel spoke out of the ground about justice while the blood of Jesus spoke/speaks/and will always speak, about forgiveness and reconciliation. Then we see that The Lord put Cain under a curse and drove him from the ground he worked. Now he drove him from the ground, meaning if Cain would stick around there he would find that the ground would no longer bear the fruit for Cain to take care of himself. The Bible also states that the ground anyplace would not bear fruit for Cain. I think this points out that the blood of his brother is not just on that spot where he died, but all over. As we all know or should know that the blood of our Lord Jesus that was spilled out for the sinners of the world, or all of us, does not just lay on the ground under the cross. We do not need to go to Mount Calvary to receive the blood of Jesus, we can receive Jesus right where we are right now, we do not need to receive Him in a church, or at the foot of the cross, you can receive it right now at your computer. You can be washed clean by the blood of Jesus which speaks to us from the ground, speaks to us from The Cross, speaks to us by The Word of Jesus in the Bible and speaks to us right from Jesus BECAUSE HE IS ALIVE AND WELL!! AMEN.

Now God also told Cain he would be a "restless wanderer of the earth." And Cain told the Lord, "my punishment is more then I can bear." Cain said he would be driven from his land and would be hidden from the presence of God and worried about being killed by others. But the Lord told him that it was not so and marked Cain so others would not kill him. The Lord also set a punishment to any that would come after Cain and kill him. Cain went on to have a family and I invite you to read about that on your own, in Genesis 4: 17/26.

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for the message of today, and Lord, please bless those on our prayer lists today, those working in the fields of Harvest for You. Lord, you planted on my mind once again about Salvation through the blood of Jesus. So Lord, I want to lead those who read this line in a prayer of forgiveness, please Lord, forgive those who asked today, and Lord I pray they will come to You today. Now Lord, hear the prayers of myself and others. Please, Lord, forgive me of my sins and wash me clean with The Blood of Jesus, that still flows today. Wash me white as the new fallen snow, and yes, Lord, I do want You in my heart and I want to be admitted to heaven some sweet day, until that day help me repent of my sins and work for you, never giving up... In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Now go forth my dear brothers and sisters... As you might see, I started this message last night and I have trouble writing in the evening, God seems to want me fresh, so I am working with God on the timing of these messages... Now share those blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

October 21, 2010 The First Family 4

Now Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." And while there were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters (yes, morning, but I am writing the evening before). It is Thursday and and a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole... Oh my, how in the world am I going to tell if tomorrow is going to be beautiful? Easy, God makes all the days and that makes them all beautiful. It is Thursday and the day we pray for our schools and our families. Also please pray for Carry The Light Ministries and the families we serve. Pray also for our annual food drive. We are now collecting food and there will be a list of locations where you can drop food at the end of the message.

The First Family 4: Genesis 4:8 - Now Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. 9 Then the Lord said to Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?" "I don't know," he replied. "Am I my brother's keeper?" 10 The Lord said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground." (NIV)

THE FIRST MURDER!! Brothers and sisters before I start reviewing the scripture I just want to bring out this point. This was the very first murder ever, a sin of course. I would love to know how many murders there have been since then and I could not begin to tell you, nor is it all that important. What is important is that we do all we can do to STOP THEM! I do know this, yesterday there were over 3,500 murders in families just here in the United States of America, it is called Abortion. Also this past weekend in a town near ours a dad shot his son to death. It is hard for me to believe that anyone can murder anyone, let alone a family member. Ok, back to the scripture of today.

What jumps out at you? To me it looks like that Abel more than likely was thinking how nice of my older brother to want to be with me. Maybe Abel was thinking Cain wanted to show him how the crops were doing. As you recall Cain worked the fields and Abel worked the flocks. So when they get to the field, Cain murders his brother. Could this have been because God showed favor on Abel for his offering of the fat portions from some of his first born flock, and looked down on what Cain had offered? You remember the Bible told us that Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast. Was the murder a result of one brother being jealous of the other? While the Bible does not say it in words, it sure looks like it could be. Anyway, what else jumps out at me?

Let's look together at verse 9. Then the Lord said to Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?" "I don't know," he replied. "Am I my brother's keeper?" Ok, again we see the Lord here on earth and talking to Cain. Then God asks Cain where is your brother, and Cain lied. Wow, Cain lied right to God's face. I don't know, Cain told God. This of course is another sin and I ask you, have you ever lied to God? Careful now with that answer as I might need to tell you, like my late mamma, would tell me... Are you lying son? No mamma, I never lie! That is the biggest one you ever told! she would tell me. Brothers and sisters, each time we ask God to forgive us of our sins and we promise not to sin again and we sin again we are lying to God! Oh yes, I am an out and out liar as over the years I have made God promises that I fell short of keeping. And the biggest liar of all? No it is not one of you, it is Satan of course! Do the very best you can all the time, do not lie, for if you lie it will take another to cover that one and it grows and grows.

"Am I my brother's keeper?" Cain asked God. Folks, we are our brother's keeper, we really are. We are to help the poor, we are to help the needy, we are to love our neighbors, we are to teach them the Good News of our Lord Jesus, and without giving you a lot of scriptures here, I am telling you, we are indeed our brother's (and sister's) keepers. This does not mean we need to mind all their business and follow them around, no, we are not that kind of keeper, but we are to look after them, and if we see one doing wrong we are to tell them. Maybe I need to write on those scriptures, I will need to ask God about that. Now for a quick look at verse 10.

10 The Lord said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground. Again we see the Lord speaking to Cain, and again I say to you, if you do not hear the Lord speaking to you, you are not listening. What have you done? How often have we heard someone ask us that question? What have you done? I have heard that a few times in my life, and I am sure at some time or another you have heard that also. But have you heard God say it to you? Now I can't say I heard that from God in those words, but I have heard Him say as I struggle to get a job done and have not asked Him to help me up front. Then when I am in trouble on the job I stop and pray I have heard Him speak to my heart say... "So now you call on me!" Folks, we need to talk to God and we need to listen to God. Tomorrow we will talk about the last part of the verse about the blood in the ground and look at how Cain gets punished! Oh yes, God punished Cain.

Dear Father in Heaven... Forgive us for those lies and forgive us when the lies are directed at You. I pray today for families, all the families on this line and all the families in our flock at the Bridges, and all the families that we will have contact with in the coming weeks at Allenberry. I pray for the family of God, Your family, dear Lord, I pray for my dear friend Spike and his family, and for the Ritchey family, Lord. I pray for the families that are receiving food from our food pantry and the families that are supporting the pantry. I pray for our schools and all that enter the doors of them. Lord, I pray that You will someday soon be invited in by the government, but until then, know that there are a lot of us that want you in our schools and ask that You go in daily and protect our children and all that work for the schools. Lord, know that You are welcome in our home and Lord, Lord, bless those families that have members with cancer and other problems. B
less Vicki and her family. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

October 20, 2010 The First Family 3

Then the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?"

Good Salvation Wednesday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters... Salvation Wednesday and the day we pray for the lost and pray for God to use we who are "Born Again" to work the fields of harvest to bring in the lost. Remember as we work those fields, WE CANNOT SAVE ANYONE, only Jesus can do that, our job is to spread the good news about Jesus, and bring them to the feet of Jesus and to pray with them and guide them, get them into a good church. And brothers and sisters, I say a good church because there are a lot of bad and not so good churches out there. And it is not just the name of the church or the denomination for example, the Baptist church in most all cases is a good church, and I know of one where the pastor, Pastor Kevin Brown is in love with Jesus and he puts the word out as it should be. But then there is that one that protests at military funerals and that is just wrong. Again there is a big difference.

Also yesterday I said I was going to check on who else beside the Amish might be farming the old ways, and said I was going to ask my dear brother in Christ Oliver Ogden. Well my dear sister Sharon Ogden whose name I should have also put in my message yesterday responded with this answer...

"Of course the Amish do and so do the Old Order Mennonite. They both only have farms of 40 acres or less--because that's all they can handle with the animals. Some Old Order Mennonite are allowed tractors with steel wheels (not rubber tires)--others are not. Every district is different."
Thanks Sharon for your help.

Yesterday I also received this question from a dear sister on the line... "Why was Cain's offering rejected? Wasn't it the first and best, just like Abel's?" While I did receive one answer on this from a person who I saw in person yesterday and mentioned the question, I am not posting her answer today and it is a very very good one. But I would like others to seek this out... I am also going to research it, and maybe some of you pastors could weigh in on it. Yesterday I said we always need to give of our best, but this question and the answer go deeper than that. Please send in your answer! Oh that homework!! And don't tell me your dog ate your computer!!!

The First Family 3: Genesis 4:6 - Then the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?" 7 "If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it." (NIV)

Let's dig into these scriptures today and see what we can come up with. The very, very first thing that comes out of the scriptures to me is that "The Lord said to Cain." It is not just what He said, this is pointing out to me once again that God talked to that first family. Remember how God walked in the garden of Eden and spoke to Adam and Eve. Genesis 3:9 - God called to the Man, "Where are you?" And again you see it in Genesis 3:11 and 3:13. And I want to point out to you this from Hebrews.

Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (NIV)

So again God talked to Adam, Eve and now we see Him talking to Cain, and let me tell you that He is talking to me this morning already for, and listen to me here, if He did not talk to me, I just could not write these messages and do the other things God wants us to do. Do I always listen to God? Confession time here this morning, No, sad to say, I have not nor do I now always listen. There are times God has had to tell me over and over again to do some things and I have not done them or I put them off. I pray and all of you can pray for me, that I do better at this.

Ok, what else stands out? "Why are you angry?" How often have we gotten angry in our lives? I can't count that high, can you? While I have gotten angry at others, let's face it, I managed buses and when drivers did not do what I wanted them to do, I got angry. If, at my service stations, mechanics did not listen, I got angry. And so it goes, and I will come back to this in a minute... Lets move on...

"Why is your face downcast?" Is not our face downcast if we are angry? Means about the same thing? Then God said this "If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? And folks, that is a very important question from God that again is good today. While man might accept us when we do what is wrong, God will not, we must do right to please God. What do I mean man might accept us when we do what is wrong? Well, let's look at a few things. Men go to strip clubs, women take off their clothes and a lot of people accept it. Hooters girls wear not much and people go there to eat. Here is a big one. Over 3500 unborn babies are killed daily and in America we accept it. Not all on these subjects, but some. And while man accepts these and other things, GOD DOES NOT, and man ,and man meaning man and woman, will pay dearly for their actions someday. If they do not change, if they do not come to God, if they do not confess over to Jesus, they will for sure BURN IN HELL. But God has given man a way out, a way to get rid of the sins... That way of course is Jesus!

Then God said. "But if you do NOT do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it." You must master that sin, meaning you must get rid of it, you must work around it, get it out of your system. Sin is crouching at our doors, brothers and sisters, again it is the same today as back then. Satan wants us and is just standing at your door, and the one and only way to master the sin is to come to Jesus!! And everyone said Amen this morning... Can you master the sin today, let's go to God now, I have gone on long enough today, let's go to God for His protection. Tomorrow we find out what happens when we do not master the sin, and we find out about some sin in the family... today it would be called a capital crime. Be back tomorrow for the FIRST MURDER!

Dear Father in Heaven, Today, Salvation Wednesday on this line, I want to clean up myself for You and I pray others will also pray this prayer with me... Lord Jesus, You died for me and right now I need cleaned of sins and I need the blood you shed on the cross to wash me clean, and then I need your help to repent of my sinful ways. Clean me, Lord, and help me learn not to sin again, and to get Your word out to others. Help all of us work for You and bring in the lost sheep... In the name of Jesus I pray... Amen.

Tomorrow more on that first family... For now, get to work for Jesus, time is running out. And please share those blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

October 19, 2010 The First Family 2

Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil!

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. As I said I am going to be writing the evening before for a while, or trying to. Anyway, it is raining here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Please pray for the family or families who have lost loved ones in a fire Monday evening in Harrisburg, Pa. The first report has five killed, four of them children. Today's message is for Tuesday and that is the day we pray for cures for Cancer, failed kidneys and all those other diseases. Please also pray for Pastor Tony and Ruby, I have not heard from them for a while. Praise report, Eleanor Saylor had a safe trip to her old home town and is back home safe and sound. Please keep Daniel Saylor in your prayers as he now must return back to Ohio from Central Pa. Pray for those with cancer, Diane, Kathleen, Ronald, and I am sure I am missing a few... Please pray for Pastor Charles...

The First Family 2: Genesis 4:2 - Later she gave birth to his brother Abel. Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil! 3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. 4 But Abel brought fat portions from some of the first born of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. (NIV)

Let's now take a look at the scripture of today and see what we can find. First I see that Abel is the younger of the brothers. Both of the brothers were farmers, one working the earth and one with livestock. Notice that today we still have farmers that work the dirt and have livestock. I wanted to bring that out as so many, many things are the same today as back then, except with the exception of the Amish, I think most others use tractors, etc., to farm... I will need to check for sure on that with my good friend Oliver Ogden as he is one of the best read people that I know and an excellent person on the history of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, home of a lot of the older religions. But with that said, farming was never easy work, not an eight hour a day type job. So let me move on, for this scripture is not about their farming of the fields and livestock but about what they gave to the Lord.

Cain brought in good fruit from his work as an offering unto the Lord, while his brother Abel fat portions from some of his livestock. Then we see that the Lord looked with favor on the offerings of Abel, but with Cain and his offerings, well, the Lord did not look with favor on them.

Ok, what does that really tell us today? It tells me we should give of our best, give off the top to the Lord. Over the years I had to learn that you give to the Lord first, and give Him what is due Him and I found out you cannot out-give the Lord. I have heard people say, "I cannot give to God for there is nothing left after I pay the bills and in some cases there was not even enough to pay the bills." Folks, if you give to God first, you will have enough to pay God and if you do it in faith you will soon find you have enough to pay the bills. The Bible tells us in Malachi this.

Malachi 3: 8 - "Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me." "But you ask, 'how do we rob you?'" "In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse, the whole nation of you, because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this" says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessings that you will not have room enough for it." (NIV)

Folks, if you really want to please God we need to live daily for Him and we need to give good things to Him. Let's talk about some of the ways we give to God. We of course support our church and we need to do that, and we also need to help others. Remember, our Lord said we are to feed the hungry and clothe the naked. Having a food pantry, and thanks for all of you who support it, we have found that a lot of people when giving food to the pantry will empty their own shelves, and while that is good, some folks, and they are few, are just emptying out the outdated things. We also need to be very careful for we do get things in that have been opened and some used out. Of course we need to pitch it. Remember, also if you are taking clothes to the Salvation Army or other places like that, take good clean clothes. If something is not fit for you to wear, then don't expect others to use it. I have also seen really good stuff sitting out for the trash that would have been great for the Salvation Army. Remember, folks, when you are giving to your church, give from the top, when you are giving "things" to people you are really giving it to God, so think about it when you give it, would you give it to God?

You can see this all in just those few scriptures. Give unto the Lord, your best, for after all, He gave you His best, Jesus. Can someone say Amen on that one?

Dear Father in Heaven, You gave us the Best, You gave us Jesus and Jesus, You gave us Yourself. Help us to always give to You and others only things that are good. While, Lord, we don't always give new things, help us to give good things, things that we would feel honored to give to You. Bless what we give, dear Lord. Please honor our prayers this day, Lord, and those on the prayer list, please heal. Thanks for safety for the Saylors. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Now folks, and this is a good day to say this. Go forth and share those blessings.
Love ya, Pastor Dan.

October 18, 2010 The First Family

Adam lay with his wife Eve and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain.

Good Monday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is a beautiful cool morning here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Today, the day we pray for our leaders in Washington (pray real hard) and our leaders in our States Houses (pray really hard) and for our military, police, firefighters, veterans, doctors, nurses, retirement home workers, all those who work to keep people safe and healthy.

Praise God, Praise God.. Last week we prayed for Barbara who was to have surgery. Surgery is done, tumor is removed, NO CANCER (which was expected). All Glory to God.

Changes coming on this line!! Starting this week you will notice that the messages will arrive in the evening, those of you who get them at work, and please be sure this is ok with your employer, you will find them waiting for you in the morning. Why the change? We are starting out on our Santa Runs to Allenberry Playhouse and Resort Inn (they furnish us with 50 hams and 50 turkeys for the food bank, that is our pay). Anyway we must be on the road by 9.30 AM to do this. We don't move as fast as we once did, and to take off getting up at 3.00 AM (which I do often anyway) I am going to write in the evening (God willing). Although going out in the evening, they will carry the date of the next day on the Subject line. To get it started you might notice on the day I start it, you will get one that morning and one that evening. So you know in the mornings as we get ready we have animals to take care of. We have eleven little dogs in our home, all seniors except for one. One cannot hear, one is completely blind, and some are crippled. We don't let them out of the house NOR do we cage them, so we have cleaning and feeding chores each day. So you know, we removed all carpet years ago and have washable floors throughout the house. So each day I wet mop the whole house.

We also have five cats, one which was ours and others come because we feed good stuff. We also have two kittens that were dumped in the trash and our trash gentlemen asked if we would take them. We did. Also we have four goats, a rabbit and a chicken. So you can see that it takes a while to get going in the morning. Of course we don't move as fast as we once did. Anyway, we thought you should know why the change and ask your prayers for this event as I am more alert in the mornings.

The First Family 1: Genesis 4:1 - Adam lay with his wife Eve and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, "With the help of the Lord I have brought forth a man." 2 Later she gave birth to his brother Abel. (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, what jumps out at you on our scripture of today? The very first thing that I noticed is that Adam lay with his wife! I noticed it did not say Adam lay with his girlfriend for they were already married as God put them in the garden that way. Remember last week how God had everything ready for Man and had him do some work before woman was made? Adam had to name all the animals. Today we find people, man laying with women (notice more than one here) and woman laying with men (more than one again) before they go and "live together" and then they have children, lots of times many and sometimes with different mates. There are women out there who have had children, a lot of children, the woman never married and each child had a different father. And men are planting their seeds all over the place. And, and I must say this, in a lot of cases taxpayers are picking up the FULL tab on these "families". The right order, meet someone, go out with them, find out if they love Jesus, and if they do, then, fall in love, make plans, get engaged, get married, then go to bed. And pay for the babies you make. (Amen)

Next to jump out at me. Eve made this statement. "With the help of the Lord I have brought forth a man." Notice she did not say with the help of Adam, she gave the glory where it belonged and still belongs, to God. What next... She did it again.

I want to point this out... This is the FIRST FAMILY. The family in Washington, did not ever earn that title. Eve is the First Lady. I know I am picking a thin line here, but facts are facts and you can only have "one first" when it comes to families.

Dear Father in Heaven, we thank You and give You glory for Adam and Eve and their children, and Lord, we again thank You for making things so nice for all of us and furnishing us all of our needs. Please Lord, we want to give You praise for the healing hand on Barbara and thanks for the no cancer report. Please watch over our families in Washington and in the states houses and Lord. please take care of all those who work to keep us safe and healthy. Please, Lord, bring peace to the earth and come back... until then keep us working for You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Now Go Forth, serving God and repenting from sin and sharing your blessings... Love ya, Pastor Dan.

October 15, 2010 Creation Moving Ahead 5

The woman said to the serpent, "we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'"

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, it is Friday and a beautiful morning here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Friday is the day we pray for all those who work in the fields of harvest for our Lord Jesus. ARE YOU ON THAT PRAYER LIST? Folks, one of those "other commandments" from our Lord Jesus is to go into the world and tell the good news. (That is in my words but you can read it in Mark 16:15.) Other prayers today for Kathleen, Diana, Ronald, and others with cancer. Blanch and others who have kidney failure. Also, folks, please even as we pray for healing take advantage of those flu shots and get those shots that are needed to protect your kids from those childhood things.
God loaned talent to those who invented these things for a reason. We who love God know this, we can help God, by helping ourselves also. Example, two people are praying for work, one of the two sits at home and does not fill out any applications and the other pounds the streets daily putting in applications. Who do you think will get a job? Thinking of that, please pray for Mark who is seeking a job, and is praying and is pounding the streets looking. It is tough out there, but God is faithful... Keep praying and keep looking, Mark.

Creation Moving Ahead 5: Genesis 3:1 - Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden?'" 2 The woman said to the serpent, "we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'" (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, you really should read Genesis Chapter 3. I am not going to type the complete Chapter for you. If you do not have a Bible, please by all means email me and give me your address and we will have a Bible on the way to you. It might not be new, it might be used, but it will be good and be full of God's Word. So, see, there is no excuse for not having a Bible or reading it. So you need to "Dust it off" and read this chapter.

Ok, let's look at a few things in the scripture I wrote and then I am going to use a few more scriptures from this Chapter... First of all, I notice that the serpent talked, "Did God really say" and the serpent went on... Do you believe that the serpent talked? Let me tell you right up front that I DO BELIEVE IT, AND here is why. It is in my Bible and once again I tell you that I believe everything in my Bible, everything. If you do not believe that the serpent could talk back then, then why would you believe that Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sins? More about your Bible, take it to church, take notes from your sermons and the scriptures they use. Be sure what is being preached comes from the scriptures. There are pastors out there not preaching the complete truth. I tell my flock often, check on me... and I tell you the same, check on me. I write what I feel God gives me, but I want it right. Moving on.

This is the part of the scripture that I like to call the blame game. You know in life how a lot of people do not want to own up to their own faults but blame it on someone else. So in this scripture we find that the serpent talks the woman into picking the fruit, please note, the kind of fruit is not noted, most people say the apple, but it is fruit. So the woman Eve picked the fruit and ate some of it, then gave it to the man, Adam, who also ate it. Then something happened, their eyes were opened and they realized they were naked, so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. Now this week when I preach on this I am going to take in four leaves, I do not have fig leaves, but the example will be fun. I am going to put three on one sheet of paper and one on the other. Why, to show folks the very first wardrobe of man and woman. (Yes, folks, you know I love to have fun and there is nothing wrong with good clean fun.)

Genesis 3: 8 - Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the Garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man, "Where are you?" (NIV)

Let me stop and let's look at this up to now. Serpent lies to woman who picks fruit and eats some and shares it with man. Then we look at these scriptures I just wrote and what jumps out at you? Here is what jumps out at me... We see that the woman was referred as the "wife" not the first time, but I want to point it out. They, when put in the garden, were married right away. I also want to point out about our Lord God walking in the garden. While not the first time God was on the earth, because the Bible tells us that He put Adam into a deep sleep and took a rib, we do find that God did walk this earth in person. How wonderful it must have been to have God walking in person with you in that beautiful garden. But folks, if you go to your garden or another nice quiet place and you talk to God you will find that He will spend time with you one on one. Maybe not appearing in person, although some say that they have seen the face of God and I believe that! I believe it because the Bible tells me He has done it already. Anyway, here God is walking in the garden and Adam and his wife are hiding from God. "Where are you?" God called to Adam. Folks, you just cannot hide from God, not then and not now...

Then what happened, and again, I am not writing the scriptures but the blame game started... Adam tells God I was hiding because I was naked. God said to Adam, "Who told you you were naked?" "Have you eaten from the tree that I COMMANDED you not to eat from?" Then this happened.

Adam said, "the woman you put here with me, she gave me some of the fruit from the tree and I ate it." Then the Woman said, "The serpent deceived me and I ate" Then the Lord God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this Cursed are you." So the serpent was put on his belly for life and told he will eat dust. God also said that the serpent will strike man's heel and that man will crush the head of the serpent. And so it goes, something goes wrong, man blames wife, wife blames the serpent. Today, we have some things like this... Teacher to Johnny, do you have your homework, did you do it? Miss Smith, I did my homework and had it all done, but my dog ate it. Now that is one old, old excuse from the blame game. But I must tell you that when I was a kid, I opened a letter at Christmas and there was a five dollar bill in it and my dog ate that five spot. So I gave the dog some caster oil and put him in the basement. What a mess I had, but you know the dog never did pass that five dollar bill... no sir, he could not pass it, it was counterfeit! (Ok, I made that one up years and years ago.) Who else do you know who has been in the blame game? Have you ever been involved? You want to see blame games, read accident reports. I was driving down the road when a utility pole came out in front of me and hit me. Once in a while I would go out on the parking lot at school and fix buses so I could tell if someone did their pre-trip check which is required by law for school bus drivers and also by all commercial drivers... I would put a small piece of tape across the hood so I could tell if a driver checked the oil as required. The blame game... Me to the driver... did you check the oil today? Yes, oh, let's go out to the bus, and I showed them the tape that was not broken. Oh, well I knew the mechanics were to change the oil yesterday so I figured they would have checked it. So they blamed the mechanic. Who, folks, could have forgotten to put oil back in the bus? And so it goes. Now in fairness most of my drivers were right up front with me. (Or they were not driving for Central Dauphin very long.)

Ok, I dwelled on that Blame game long enough. Remember this as I close up today, God knows all of what all of us do. If we mess up, confess up, come to God and get cleaned up and go on with life. Stop blaming others and do not lie about things, for the lies get bigger and bigger to cover the other lies. If you do that, we will send you to Washington. And remember this, once you have given things to God, let them go. If you broke the law, you are going to need to pay man back, might even need to go to the lockup. But once you have given things to God, you are free of it, do not let others cast your past up to you. Tell them this... All folks have stuff in the closet, all folks, but I had God clean mine...

As we close this segment of creation we find this. Man's garden will now have weeds in it, Woman will have great pains with childbirth, and Man was banished from the garden of Eden. And snakes will be ready to jump at you if you get near them. Next week we look at those first kids... Cain and Abel. Folks, sin has started and it gets worse...

Dear Father in Heaven, forgive us of our sins and help us to not blame others when it is our fault, help us to take the blame as need be. Lord, help us to remember that we who have not messed up should not be casting stones at others. Please forgive us when we do. Lord, thanks for being the number one closet cleaner ever and thanks for cleaning my closet. Please, Lord, heal those on our prayer list and protect your servants working the fields of harvest for you. Lord, please help me when I write with my spelling and grammar. In the name of Jesus, I pray... Amen.

Now go forth and share your blessings and have a very blessed weekend. Will see you on Monday, and remember if you need a Bible, email me and let me know. Or call us... Love ya, Pastor Dan.

October 14, 2010 Creation Moves Ahead 4

And the Lord God COMMANDED the man "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."

Well, Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, and can you just say PRAISE THE LORD THIS MORNING, AND say it thirty nine times? One each for the thirty three miners that were brought up from the earth and six times for the six workers who went down into the mine to help the miners get loaded. I watched and watched last night, but was saddened when they did not show those first responders coming up. But rejoice in God for all His doing, if it were not for God, those men would still be in the grave. Think of all those who worked hard, all "with talents on load from God" (quote by Rush). Without those God talents they would not be alive. God is Good...

Did you see her, did you see on ABC 27 the story of the lady going to climb a mountain for Down Syndrome? Well, that dear, dear sweet little blonde is "Little Allie", Allie Orner, who we have prayed for and prayed for when she was Congratulations Congratulations to Jim and Beverly Orner and other parents of Down Syndrome children for taking care of them... We will never know how many beautiful children with Down Syndrome are just "dumped" at birth (abortion) but we do know here is a little girl that is loved and loved and loved. Today on this families and schools day let us feature prayers for "Little Allie" and all other Down Syndrome children and the families who love these children so much and also for all the health care workers, school teachers and others who love these kids. To my daughter Danelle, I am proud of you for the way you love all children and still help those you had in class years ago (love you, Dad-e-o).

We have been blessed again... yesterday we helped a family from the Philipines get ready to send food to their family. We had the food on the shelves to do this, 100 boxes of mac and cheese, 25 pounds of spaghetti, 25 cans of spaghetti sauce, 25 cans of tuna, and 25 boxes of oatmeal. Without your help, those of you who support our mission, we could not do this. This is called sharing our blessings folks... GOD IS GOOD.

Creation Moves Ahead 4: Genesis 2:16 - And the Lord God COMMANDED the man "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die." (NIV)

I could have called today's lesson, "Man loses a part," but I did not. Let me move on. What jumps out at you on this first scripture of today? Hint, I made the word big! This, folks, is what jumps out at me... The Lord God "Commanded" the man. This, folks, is the first commandment that I have found in the Bible. Folks, it is very clear to me that we have more than The Ten Commandments and The Two Great Commandments to follow, we have many others. Can you name one or two of them? Would you share them with me? You might have found ones that I have not. Here is another hint. Our name Carry The Light came from a commandment... Where in the Bible did our name come from?

One other thing that jumps out at me before I move on, the the fact that God furnished man all he needs to live, but told him not to touch one thing. Does that not happen today? God has laid down rules for us, and gives us plenty, but we often cross the line.

Genesis 2: 18 - The Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." (NIV)

Now God had made all the animals and he brought them to the man for him to name them, but God went on from that. Listen to this.

Genesis 2:20 - But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep and while he was sleeping, He took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib He had taken out of the am, and he brought her to the man. (NIV)

Now what jumps out at you? What jumps out at me is that man can have all things, except that one tree, even the birds, fish, and animals, all of creation was man's but God saw that even with all of that man would not be happy. And also, I am sure that God already knew that if He wanted man to increase in number as in the animals, you need both sexes. No Adam and Steve here, folks, and that just should tell you how I feel about gay marriage and that lifestyle. I want you to look real close at Genesis 2:20. This is the first time that the name Adam was used. Also I want you to see the word helper. Men, a woman is not a slave, she is not just for sex, she is not your housekeeper, she is to be your helper, meaning you WORK TOGETHER ON THINGS. You talk about "slave labor", you just need to take a look at a working mother. Here is the way it works in a lot of families... Man gets up, gets a shower (I hope) and gets ready and goes to work... Woman gets up, gets the kids up, gets them breakfast, gets themselves ready, drop the kids at the school or sitter and then they go to work. After work man comes home, sits in their chair, woman picks up the kids, brings them home, more than likely has gone to the store on the way home, then gets supper ready while the man still sits in his chair. Woman feeds the cat and dog, while dinner is cooking and then she hears this voice... WHEN IS SUPPER READY?? Soon, dear, soon. Then after supper man returns to chair, farts and burps, and puts on the TV (did I say farts and burps?) Woman cleans the table, takes care of the dishes, and gets the kids ready for bed. Then she retires to a chair and man makes this statement... Want to make love? And now you know why the woman might just have a headache.

But folks, it should not be that way and in a lot of families it is not. Helpers in life share things and men and women, if we all would learn to put Jesus first in the home, we would find that it then works. Jesus first, then your spouse. Tomorrow that tree gets picked and we look at the first clothes of man and woman. Do you know what the fruit was that was picked from that tree? And what was the first clothes of man and woman?

Dear Father in Heaven, thank You for being in the mine with the miners, and being with all and bringing up those folks... PRAISE YOU JESUS. And Lord, thanks for the Orner family and those like them and thanks for taking care of Baby Allie and all the other children with Down Syndrome. Lord, please help stop abortion. Please be with families and in our schools. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Go forth now and share your blessings. love ya, Pastor Dan.

October 13, 2010 Creation Moves Ahead 3

Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there He put the man He had formed.

Good Salvation Wednesday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. I am sorry I am late this morning, I have been taking out the trash and feeding animals after a wonderful, blessed night of sleep. I did get to sleep late as I was watching those miners being brought up out of the earth. Please keep praying that all goes well. I watch one step out of the capsule and get on his knees and thank God. They are now at number 13. Did you know that the drilling company that is doing the work is from Pennsylvania? Pray warriors, pray. And pray for the unsaved, and pray for God to use we who are saved.

Creation Moves Ahead 3: Genesis 2:8 - Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there He put the man He had formed. 9 And the Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground. Trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. 10 A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters. (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, what jumps out at you today? Here are a few of the things that jump out at me... The Lord God HAD planted a garden. Once again we see that before God made man, He got everything ready for Him. Think about it, all of creation was done before man was made. Here we see that God had already made man a place to live and had the food ready for him. What can we learn from that at this point? Remember, we have not talked about the first lady as of this day. So let me ask the men, and yes, you ladies can also reply if you wish... Men, and I wish I would have known this years ago, so teach the young ones... Before the men should go looking for their honey, they should get ready for them. Before they go looking for their forever love, maybe they should have their house all ready or at least the money for it put back. We all too often do not get it in the right order. But today God pointed out to me that before He even made man, He had everything but one in place for Him. What was the one thing that was not in place? Tomorrow we find that out. But today God is pointing out to me that before He made us, He had a nice place for us.

Something else that jumps out at me is that God had also made the plans for the trees to be watered, for the garden to grow. Do you plan your garden or what you are going to plant each year or are you like me... I, at the last minute, turn the earth, plant way to much stuff and then after the groundhogs start eating at it, I put the fence up, and after the weeds are killing things I tell Dolores, I am never planting another garden. I can plant stuff and I know weeds grow and I know I can no longer pull them, so why don't I plan ahead and put things between the plants and also put the fence up before things grow? So God, thanks for pointing out this to me! Again! And brothers and sister, this is not in just planning your garden, we should be making plans in advance for all things we do. Even as I near 70 I seem to shoot a lot from the hip. But to take the name of a song, "He's still working on me," I wonder if God ever thinks, I made all of this in six days and I have been working on that guy called Dan for near 70 years and I am still not done. How long would you work on any project before you would just give up on it? Praise God, praise be to God for He does not give up on us...

I just paused for a minute to watch another miner coming up. He got out of the capsule and hugged his love ones, and you could see, he had a cross painted on the back of his helmet. Since they did not have paint, when was the cross put on? These men are alive, because they trusted God...

Pace on point.., Yes, praise God for God does not give up on us, but how often have we given up on Him? It is clear to me that God has me running late for a few reasons today and it might have been just to show me that these miners have not given up on Him. Do you think there is a non-believer in that group of men, or their families today?

He's still working on me, to make me what I should be...

Dear Father in Heaven, please, till the day we all come home don't stop working on us as we want to grow more and more in love with You daily and want to learn more and more about you. Be with those miners and their families, and Lord, bring them all up and also those who went down in the mine to help them out. Praise You Jesus for that Pennsylvania crew and all others helping in that mine. Also, Lord, help us this day to find the unsaved and bring them to your feet. Lead us to the unsaved and let us work for You, and thanks for trusting us to work for You... In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Now go forth and please remember this, in all that you do, in all that you do, keep God first, and also share your blessings. Tomorrow, the woman comes... Love ya, Pastor Dan.

October 12, 2010 Creation Move Ahead 2

The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Good let's pray for a cure morning, my dear brothers and sisters. Yes, Tuesday and the day we pray for God to send us a cure for Cancer, heart problems, kidney failure, and all those other bad health things as He sent us a cure years ago for Polio. Be it sent thorough the wonderful hands of our medical people or just killed off by Jesus, it does not make a difference to me. Let's just pray it goes bye-bye. Pray for all those who have cancer. Kathleen, Ron, Dianne, etc.. For kidney failure, Blanch.

Creation Moves Ahead 2: Genesis 2: 4 - This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created. When the Lord God made the earth and the heavens 5 and no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no man to work the ground, 6 but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground. 7 The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man because a living being. (NIV)

So what jumps out at you today? Here are a few things that just jump right out at me... First, if you recall last week in our six days of creation, God spoke creation into being. And God said, And God said, And God said, except for man and today we find out that God formed the man from the dust of the ground and Dan now has an excuse for having "ring around the collar." Did I really say that? Yes. When you stop laughing we will take the serious look. God did not speak man into being; He formed us men from the dust of the earth and God then took that first breath for us as He breathed into our nostrils. So God made us from dust, but folks, I want you to look back with me to last week.

Genesis 1:27 - So God created man in His own image. (NIV)

Now folks, I am not concerned that God made me from dust, because I am so happy that He created me in His Own Image. Folks, I want to sing part of this Bible School song to you... "Red or Yellow, Black or White, they are precious in His sight, Jesus loves the children of the earth." Folks, please note we have people of many colors and we are ALL made in the Image of God. So go run, I mean run to your mirror this morning and be very happy at what you see. Don't get down on yourself for God made you in His image. And if someone else does not like the way you look, shame on them. I can tell you right now that I love the way you all look and most of you I have never had eye to eye contact with. But if you are made in the image of God, and you are, well that is good enough for me. And if you want to know what I look like go to any mall the day after Thanksgiving and look at Santa. Then, picture this very, very pretty, small lady standing beside me, that would be Mrs. Claus. And our six children, four of mine and two of hers, one whom I adopted (the other one I love just as much) are all made in the image of God, as are you and your children... Let's just do this right now.

Thank You, Jesus, for caring enough to make us in Your Image, and Lord, I am so happy that Your Image is always good, even though it might look different in our eyes. Lord, we have known for a long time now and I am so happy about this, that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Thank You, Lord, for making us different for this earth sure would be boring if we all looked alike. In Jesus' name I give thanks for this... What a blessing You gave us, Lord. Amen.

What else jumps at you, folks? How about it has never rained, and again I ask you, when was that first rain? I did not hear from many of you on this last week. Please note that God has now set up the rivers and streams as they came up from the earth. When I was a child (back when the streets were dirt) I can remember how we would follow a little run that would be coming down off a hill. We would play in the waters and build small dams on those runs. We would follow them back to where they would come up out of the ground. It was called a spring. We would then make a small area around that spring for the water to pond in, and then laying on our bellies we would drink from them as a dog drinks. Then we would get up and bark at each other and keep playing. Ok, I am serious about all but the barking thing. God still has springs that feed the streams and the streams will feed larger streams, and they keep growing and growing till they get to the ocean.

You see how God set it up for all of us. Years ago when we would find those springs we did not understand how they got there, but I sure know now. At one time I owned a small farm, it had a spring house, with a place made to set milk cans for the milk tankers to pick up. The railroaders would stop there and fill their water containers as the railroad ran past the farm. We were also blessed to have that for if the electricity went out we could take the food from the frig and set it in the spring ponds inside that spring house. And the water was so good to drink.

And God is so good, tomorrow moving on. Come and find out all about how woman was made...

Lord, thanks for blessing this line and thanks for the messages... Love You, Lord. And Lord Jesus, I really want to please You this day by living for You. And Lord, on this personal note, help me tonight. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Go forth and share your blessings and knowing that you are indeed made in the Image of God... The next time someone asks you if you have ever seen the face of God, you can tell them YES...
Love ya, Pastor Dan.

October 11, 2010 Creation Moves Ahead 1

Thus; the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.

Good Monday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. What a great weekend. I wrote on Saturday Morning, we had people come to the food pantry for groceries in the afternoon. I did some cooking, and I love to cook. And then Dolores and I went out to hear some old guys sing. And we heard some other groups also. Then on Sunday after preaching and having a great lunch, I did what God told me to do... I rested, watched some NASCAR, a little football, played with the dogs, fed the goats, chicken, and rabbit and rested some more.

Monday and the day we pray for our leaders in Washington (who all have today off) and for our leaders at the State House (they are off also), And those at our local governments (some will be off) and those leading our schools... and they should go to school and learn what this holiday is about.

Anyway, we also pray for our troops (those in the war zones never get a day off). We pray for our police and fire fighters (they don't take off either). And we give thanks also to God who never ever goes away from you, even if you don't want Him, He is standing nearby waiting for You to invite Him in.

A lot to pray for today, and here is something nice about today since all those government workers will be off, traffic will be low. Enjoy your drive to work, and stay off the phone.

By the way, all electric cars are being recalled. At the first intersection on a major highway last week, all the electric cords got tangled... (ok, I will get on message)

Creation Moves Ahead: Genesis 2:1 - Thus; the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. 2 By the seventh day God had finished the work He had been doing, so on the seventh day He rested from all His work. 3 And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it He rested from all the work of creating that He had done. (NIV)

Ok, so what is the seventh day? If you look at today's calendars you will indeed see it is Saturday. Most Christians have Sunday as the Holy Day. Now I guess I could debate this for a long time, but I want to apply some common sense on this one to fit today's work loads and people. Here goes, and I trust that some of you will agree with me on this.

Does it make any difference if that seventh day would be Saturday or Sunday according to our calendar? I don't think so. God has given us seven days in each week and as far as I am concerned we should live all of them to please Jesus, thus we should be keeping all of them Holy. Someone please say Amen!! Now we also know that in our days now, we have people who must work Saturdays and Sundays, some of them both days. Police, Firefighters, Hospital employees, and yes, people who work in our retirement homes. And my Christian brothers and sisters, we do expect that people will be working in those restaurants so we can go there after church to eat, right??

So now what do we do, do you think people are going to be in trouble with God for working on that seventh day? No, I believe that God healed people on that day, and set the example that in some things we must do. Farmers must milk those cows, feed the livestock, and water them, oh and we who preach, must preach. So then, what? Again I say we need to keep each day Holy and we should, if working those weekends, take another day off during the week to rest our bodies.
Sadly today we have a lot of folks that don't go to work, some are out of work and want to find work in the worst sort of way. (Please pray for Mark and others looking hard for a job.) Others though are just riding out that unemployment or riding the system. Folks, the Bible said that God rested just one day. Now folks, there are people who because of health reasons, just cannot work and we who are healthy need to take care of them.

Dear Father in Heaven, please help those looking for work to find it, and help those who are sick, get well so they can go to work, and Lord, bless our troops and our police and firefighters and all those who work to keep us safe and free. Watch over your children, dear Lord, and help all of us keep every day Holy and live it to please You. Lord, I do not want to be a Sunday Christian, I want to be a Follower of Jesus Christian seven days a week, and seven nights a week. Lord, help me. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Now go forth this day following Jesus, keeping each day Holy and living it to please Jesus. Tomorrow, Adam and Eve... Love ya, Pastor Dan...

October 9, 2010 In The Beginning 6

And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds:"

Well Good Saturday Morning to you, my dear brothers and sisters, and yes, it is rare that I write on Saturday, but when doing creation, God did it in six days and in this I am trying to stay on His time schedule. We do not have any prayers listed for this day so to speak, I do have a request in from Glenda and here it is as it came to me.

Dan:

Here is an update on Rich:

Praise the Lord, Rich came home from the hospital on Wednesday without a chest tube or oxygen, Hospice set him up with a hospital bed, bed tray, and oxygen. The visiting nurse is coming today and will continue to come weekly. Rich is doing good. He is up and moving around and has not used the oxygen yet.. Carole told me this morning that they both had a good night's sleep last night and today they may go to the bank and Penn Dot. Someone stole the license plate off the back of Rich's truck two days before he went into the hospital.

Also please pray for my nephew from Ark, Arnold Harding. He was admitted to the hospital this morning with a severe UTI. They have him on antibiotics His wife, my niece Chrissy, is recovering from Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and has a lot of complications from this.

I just received a call from my friend, Rick Bouder. Rick had colon cancer several years ago and they operated to remove the tumor, but the doctor said it would return within 5 years. It returned within 3 years. He was at the doctors this morning and the meds and chemo is not working. They took him off everything and are putting him on hospice. They are not sure if he will last 3, 6, or maybe a year.

Thank you and thank God for the prayers.

Glenda

Ok, I am back. Yesterday I asked two questions, one was when was the last time in America over 3500 people were killed on one day. Several people said: "9-11-2001" and really I expected to get that answer. The date was yesterday my friends, yesterday, as each day in America on the average over 3,700 unborn babies are MURDERED by abortion doctors. Brothers and sisters, enough is enough. We need to first pray about this and then we need to start electing officials to go to Washington that will outlaw abortion. You think we need change in Washington DC because of jobs and health care, etc.? NO, FOLKS, WE NEED CHANGE TO STOP THE MURDER OF OUR CHILDREN. Listen to me, if a drunk driver hits a car and kills a female that is with child there are charged with two counts of murder, as they should be, so why then is abortion not murder? Even some of main line churches say "They support a woman's right to choose." This is not a choice it is a CHILD. Our current president, President Obama, claims he is a Christian, yet he supports even the worst of all abortions, that third term abortion where they KILL THE BABY AS IT IS DELIVERED.

Brothers and sisters I am telling you this, YOU CANNOT BE A CHRISTIAN AND SUPPORT ABORTION. Being a Christian is to be Christ-like, and Jesus would just not kill an unborn child. AMEN.

Election Day, please go and vote and please vote LIFE.

The other question yesterday, which came first the chicken or the egg, is easy... The Chicken came first because God would not put a baby here on earth without parents. We will talk about that more on Monday.

Ok, back to the message, but please take me serious on this, and pray warriors pray... Amen.

In The Beginning 6: Genesis 1:24 - And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: Livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind. And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 26 Then God said, "let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." 27 So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female he created them. 28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground. 29 Then God said, "I give you every seed bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground, everything that has the breath of life in it I give ever green plant for food and it was so. 31 God saw all that He had made and it was VERY GOOD. and there was evening, and there was morning the sixth day. (NIV)

Wow a lot of scripture there. Now let's look at it, what jumps out at you today? Here are just a few things that jump out at me... First of all, we have God speaking the first part into creation. The living creatures, the livestock and wild animals, He spoke them into being. But when it came to man it takes a change. The Bible tells us that God said, "Let us make man in our image." Not just spoke them into creation but sort of a hands-on event, and I will get into that next week when we look into Adam and Eve, the first couple and the first sinners...

Something else that jumps out at me is that God gave us everything, everything on earth was put under our control, plants, animals, birds and even the fish of the sea. Please note here, please look into this deep, God did not give us control over the universe, just things here on earth. He still has control over all the planets and the Sun and Moon and Stars and the rain and wind, etc. And folks, through the power of prayer and because He loves us so much, even with all of our sins, He did not just give us all the things on earth and then walk away, we can still trust in Him to help us with it daily. And one other thing. Once again God looked at His work and saw that it was good, and once again I ask you to look at the work you do and ask yourself this... Is it good, will it please my boss, will it please God? Hey if it pleases God it should be ok with all others...

Dear Lord, thanks for creating all things and thanks for trusting me to help rule over it. But Lord, I confess right up front that I cannot even think about doing this and doing it right without Your help. So help me, Lord, help all of us in all we do, may we do it for You and to please You. Please check on our prayer lists, and Lord, help us stop the killing of unborn babies, or better yet, just come on back and end this and bring peace. In the name of Jesus, I send my prayers to God the Father. Amen.

Go forth and have a blessed weekend and share your blessings please, and remember tomorrow is the day of rest, and I guess that means you can take a nap in church. Just kidding on that one, go to church and then come home and nap... love ya, Pastor Dan.
