Thursday: The Plan 4

"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Thursday and family day on the line. Here would be a great way for a family to form... Guy and Girl first meet Jesus and fall in love with Him. Then when the time comes they meet, date, fall in love, get engaged, get married, get a house, invite Jesus in to make it a home... and then, have children and raise them up in the name of the Lord. Now since most families do not follow all those rules and in that order, we need to pray for families.

And on this family day.. Please pray for our son Matthew as once again Satan and his toys, drugs and booze has gotten to him. Please pray that he will be accepted into one of the Christian rehab centers. Matthew knows the Lord but once again has taken a "walk about". Please, please pray for him. Also one of my good friends is having the same type of problem with their son. I am withholding that name for now. So as you pray for Matthew, pray for all who fight the addictions of drugs and booze.

The Plan 4: Luke 23: 34 - Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." (NIV)

On the very worst day in the life of Jesus, He gave us the most, He gave us "Himself". He gave us freedom from our sins. And folks, if you think you are unworthy, well you are! For none of us is worthy of what Jesus went through for us. But if you think Jesus thought you were unworthy, THINK AGAIN. Even while dying on the cross He was telling His Father in Heaven to forgive us. Yes, we are the "them" in "forgive them". And if you are one who might think it is too late for you to be saved, THINK AGAIN on that one also. While Jesus was on dying on the cross, He accepted one on the cross beside Him. I, like many pastors, have come to know this as a "bedside conversion". Or someone coming to Jesus while drawing their last breath. Here it is... let's today call it a "conversion on the cross."

Luke 23: 39/43 - 39 - One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at Him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!" 40 But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence?" 41 "We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong." 42 Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." 43 Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." (NIV)

The Plan 4: Just as a side note, this to me, and a lot do not see it this way, but to me, this tells me that sometime on the day that Jesus was put to death on the cross, He went to heaven with the newly saved one, the one criminal who asked Jesus to remember him. "Today, you will be with me in paradise" Jesus said... Not tomorrow, or next week, or when I come back again, but today... Think about that for a while.

So what is this total plan I am talking about? One more day folks, one more day, and remember tomorrow we are going to get a jump on World Wide Communion. Bring your bread and juice to the computer tomorrow. On Sunday you are welcome at The Bridges at 10.00 AM for communion and I am sure you are also welcome at the Glenvale Church of God on route 850 outside of Marysville... Three services there. Two in the morning and one at 7.00 PM Sunday Evening. Go to
www.glenvalecog.com for more information and exact times and location. I will have a few more churches on the list tomorrow.

Dear Father in Heaven... Please forgive us of our sins as You forgave the criminal on the cross. Please remember us in Heaven to our Father, Your Father. Please make our sins right with Him. Thanks for dying for me, dear Lord. Today, Lord, I ask a blessing on families, all families, and yes, Lord, I give over to You our son Matthew for healing. Lord, he really needs to be in rehab once again, Lord, please open a door for him at a place where he might find help and really find you once and for all. Lord, please be with Vicki and her family and please be with Pastor Charles, Pastor Tony and Don Saylor, Lord. Please also heal Blanch Stambaugh and watch over her husband Dale also. Also please keep Bobbie and all others coming for the John Harris High School 50th reunion safe in travel. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Go forth now sharing God's Word, sharing your blessings that God has given you. Love ya, dan.
See you soon Bobbie...
