Monday: Silver, Gold, Platinum, Clay 1

This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord!

Good Monday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. I love this day, I really do, and I love this global warming we are having. Yes, it is just above freezing at the Southern Location of the North Pole.

Today is Monday and the day we pray for our leaders in Washington DC and our leaders in our State Houses across this great nation. We need also to pray for our local leaders and remember those who lead your school districts. Please put on the top of that list prayers for Salvation for them all, for if they all came to Jesus, this country would be running a lot differently. For one thing there would be more children because there would be far less abortion. I pray someday it all stops, but for now it sure would be nice if it were outlawed. Do I get any amen's on that today? Also on Monday we pray for our veterans and for our military and brothers and sisters, please, please pray that our President stops acting like a rock star and starts acting like a man who has men and women fighting two wars. We need to pray about this and then do some e-mailing to the White House and to our other leaders. GIVE OUR MILITARY WHAT THEY NEED TO WIN, OR BRING THEM HOME, don't just let them there to be killed. Is this Nam all over again?? So pray for our people in the AIR FORCE, NAVY, ARMY, MARINES, COAST GUARD, MERCHANT MARINES, and all the RESERVE UNITS.

Please also pray today for Vicki as she waits for results of tests. Pray for Pastor Charles, Pastor Tony and their families.

Silver, Gold, Platinum, Clay. Jeremiah 15:1 - This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: 2 "Go down to the potter's house and there I will give you my message." (NIV)

So you say you want to put some valuable "stuff" back for retirement or for your children when you leave this earth. What would you want to put back? What is worth saving today? You invest in the stock market and the bottom falls out and your dollars start to go away. People tell you to stay in for the long term and it keeps coming down. Soon your investment is all but gone. I confess a few years back I took some money from my retirement funds and went to my bank, sat down with a person who was to be an investor. I gave this money over to this very young person to invest and I confess again I did not watch it. This was back in the 90's folks. The stock market went up for a while and then the thing came down; dumb me, thought the person at the bank was watching my investment as they were an investment officer. Then I got to sing this old song... "Since you’ve gone". Yep, it was down what it climbed and about half of what I put in. I got the notice and went to the bank to find out my investment person did not work there anymore and they do not watch the money... Since you’ve gone? So I confess again it made me even stronger in God... I will get to that later. I must tell you I did not lose a dime this time for I don't have anything in the stock market to lose. I will try and remember to tell you by the end of the week where I invest so please read all week.

Lately I have watched the ads of people telling you to invest in Gold, over a thousand dollars an ounce... a thousand dollars an ounce, gosh if you got that and you dropped it on the floor one of my dogs would eat it. Now that reminds me of when I was but a child. One Christmas I got a new five dollar bill for Christmas and I dropped it on the floor and my dog ate it. This was a lot of money back in those days so I took my beloved dog and gave him a good dose of "Cod Liver Oil". That was the stuff my mamma gave me once a week. I put the dog in the basement and went to bed, the next morning I went to the basement and what a mess, all over the floor, oh what a mess. I am not spelling this out for you, so you know what the mess was. I looked and looked as I cleaned for my five dollar bill. Then I found out later he could not pass it. It was counterfeit!! Ok, I made that up (about 50 years ago).

Ok Dan, get back on track. So what would you buy, gold? As I said it is over a thousand dollars an ounce and once you get it, it could go down or up, but is worth nothing just laying in your house. Think of a person who has gold in their house and they have a fire... melted. Really, is Gold the place you think God wants you to invest? What would God invest in, would it be Gold? Not likely, for up in heaven Gold is used to PAVE THE STREETS. So as I close up for today, let me ask just a couple of questions. Where are you going to invest? Or will you hang out till the end of the week for me to tell you where to invest? Also think about where God invests, think deeply on this one folks...

Dear Father in Heaven, Thanks for the message of today. I want to really talk to You today about our leaders. Lord, I want to pray for our President and pray first for his soul and also for the souls of his family. Lord, I pray they come to You and I pray that for all of our leaders. I pray they run the business of their job past you in prayer and then listen to what You say. Our pledge says "One Nation Under God" and indeed of we are a Nation that tells all we are under You, then we should be indeed bringing the business of our Nation to You. So Lord, today I am going to be bold and ask that You hound our leaders some and Lord, help us all work at them to come to You. Lord, it is time we take Your Word seriously and take the Good News to all the world and we should stop off in Washington. Open the doors for us. Lord. Lord, bless in the name of Jesus, Vicki, Pastors Charles and Tony and their families. Lord, bless, protect, and love on our military, let them feel You with them on all of their missions, and Lord, in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, I ask that You bring them home safe and very soon. In the name of Jesus, the one who died for us, I pray and all of God's people said AMEN.

Now go forth on this new day, loving on God, sharing hugs and your blessings with others and telling them about Jesus and His love. Love ya, dan.
