Shout for Joy!
Come before Him with joyful songs!
Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, it is Monday, blessed Monday, a great day to be alive and well on this earth that God loaned to us for a short visit. Monday and the day we pray for all who work so hard to keep us safe. Those in the NAVY, the AIR FORCE, the ARMY, the MARINES, the COAST GUARD, the RESERVE UNITS from your state and mine, the MERCHANT MARINES, the PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE, and the STATE POLICE FROM YOUR STATE, the SILVER SPRING TOWNSHIP POLICE and the LOCAL POLICE from your town... All those who work with the highway medical teams that respond to accidents and when you are down at home... and the list goes on and on, also we need to pray for President Obama and his family. And brothers and sisters, we really need to be praying for this man and first for his soul and his salvation through Jesus Christ. Do I think he is saved? Not for me to judge, but how can anyone, and I mean this, how can anyone feel as he does about aborting the unborn children and really be in the good graces of God? Again, I am not judging, I am just POINTING OUT WHAT IS IN THE BIBLE.
I guess I will lose some readers after that last statement, but it came from my heart folks, and it is not just about our president. If any of you had an abortion or helped with them, get on your knees before God and ask to be forgiven. Jesus is in the forgiving business... I know for He has forgiven me many and many times.
Prayers also for Strofka, Ruth, Blanch, Stanley, Luella, Pastor Charles, Pat, Greta, Joe, Don and Eleanor Saylor, Sharon, Bob, and also Anna, all from our flock at the Bridges. Also pray for Vicki as she is facing removal of a tumor or cyst.
Shout for Joy: Psalm 100: 1 - Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with JOYFUL SONGS. (NIV)
You might guess by now that we are going to follow the Bible some this week and do just what it tells us, today we are going to SHOUT FOR JOY and come before HIM with JOYFUL SONGS. Lets get started...
Today we are going to the Bible in the book of Psalms and reading from Psalm 100. In this wonderful Psalm we find out that we are to shout for Joy and sing joyful songs, but we also find out why. So I think we can shout and sing better if first of all we know why we are doing it.
Psalm 100: 3 - Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us and we are His. We are His people the sheep of His Pasture. (NIV)
So we find out that indeed our Lord is God, and again we see in the Bible as we did in Genesis that He created us. You do remember that we all came from God, through Adam and Eve and then through one of the Noah family. Like it or not, we are all related. (So you find out to day that you married a cousin.) Again my brothers and sisters, I want to point out to you that we are all related REGARDLESS OF OUR COLOR! So let's really get into some of this, this week and find out just why I am saying this, but for now, lets Shout for Joy, and sing some Joyful songs... ARE YOU READY FOR THIS? I want to put this one on your mind and have you singing it all day long...
"This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made. We will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it. This is the day that the Lord has made, We will rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day, this is the day That the Lord has made." Oh, Oh, Oh..
"This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made. We will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it. This is the day that the Lord has made, We will rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day, this is the day That the Lord has made."
"Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia,
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.
He's my Savior, He's my Savior, He's my Savior, He's my Savior,
He's my Savior, He's my Savior, He's my Savior, He's my Savior,
I will praise Him, I will praise Him, I will praise Him, I will praise Him
I will praise Him, I will praise Him, I will praise Him, I will praise Him...
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia,
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia."
"This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made. We will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it. This is the day that the Lord has made, We will rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day, this is the day That the Lord has made."
"This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made. We will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it. This is the day that the Lord has made, We will rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day, this is the day That the Lord has made."
YES, YES... All Right Lord...
"What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see, when I look upon His face, The one who saved me by His grace! When He takes me by the hand, and leads me though the promise land; What a day, glorious day that will be."
Dear Father in Heaven, we love You and we Worship You this morning and we bow before You and give You all honor and glory and praise for another day.. We lift You in song and praise today, because You are good and You did make us. We have prayer concerns today, Lord, and rejoice in knowing You are already dealing with them so we are not going to read them again. We just want to get back to singing and praising You from our hearts and our minds and our souls and yes, Lord, today from our Lungs. We might be off key, Lord, but today it is a beautiful Noise and I pray today that all the readers will be singing to You all day long, at work, at play and in all they do. I know I am going to sing and sing and sing today. I love You, Lord. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
I Love you Lord, wow, that we can sing about also... let's do it...
I love you, Lord, and I lift my voice to worship You; Oh my soul, rejoice! take Joy my King, in what You hear May it be a sweet, sweet sound in Your ear.
I love you, Lord, and I lift my voice to worship You; Oh my soul, rejoice! take Joy my King, in what You hear May it be a sweet, sweet sound in Your ear.
What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see, when I look upon His face, The one who saved me by His grace! When He takes me by the hand, and leads me though the promise land; What a day, glorious day that will be.
Brothers and sisters, it has been pure joy this morning, and so I say to you as I go, go forth, sharing your blessings and your lungs with others. Sing, brothers, sing, sing, sisters, sing... and know I love ya, dan. Let's now go out singing...
For "This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made.
This is the day, this is the day That the Lord has made." Just one more time with me and you are on your own... let's do it...
What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see, when I look upon His face, The one who saved me by His grace! When He takes me by the hand, and leads me though the promise land; What a day, glorious day that will be.
What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see, when I look upon His face, The one who saved me by His grace! When He takes me by the hand, and leads me though the promise land; What a day, glorious day that will be.
