Memorial Day: May 30, 2010
Good Morning all: Those who follow the Carry The Light Ministries Line daily, and those whom I have the honor and privilege of knowing through the Museum of Bus Transportation.
Please: May we give thanks this day for our many, many veterans from past and present wars.
I want all of you today (and every day) to remember those who served and remember that while "all gave some, some gave all." Please take time to reflect about how many lives from past and present wars have been given so that this NATION MAY BE FREE. Freedom is not now or has it ever been cheap, it has taken the lives of many, many fine men and women. Take time today to go to a cemetery and just look at all the flags flying over the graves of those who served. Take time to reflect and pray.
Today we have many veterans still living and we need also to remember and THANK them for their service, and remember today we have men and women who are 18 years of age and already veterans so it is not just those who have gray hair, and remember they are of all races and religions. If you see a person in the uniform of our country, stop and say THANK YOU to them, and please do the same for our police and firefighters also, for they also over the years have given and given and given.
Today I would ask all of you to join me in praying for our men and women who are serving today, and thanking God for them and also those who served in the past...
Dear Father in Heaven, We just want to thank You this day for a land that we call the United States of America and still say we are One Nation under You. Thank You for all those who have served in the past and have gone on before us. Thank You for those who served and still live, and thank You for those who are serving right now, and Lord, we pray that there will soon be peace and that our fine men and women of the Navy, Air Force, Army, Marines, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, our reserve units will soon be home. Regardless of where they are this day, bless them and keep them and cause your face to shine upon them. And Lord, the same for our state and local police and all our fire fighters. God, PLEASE, Bless them all and God Bless America. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
And today I also want to thank my wonderful wife on our 28th wedding anniversary and thank her for her service in the Air Force and also the 193rd Reserve Unit from Middletown Pennsylvania.
Go forth now this day, sharing your blessings, and thanking God and those who have given us the rights we have and the freedom to worship whom we choose or not worship at all. Remember, if it were not for our veterans of the past, we might be speaking a different language.
Love ya,
