Thursday 2/6/14 "I Promise!" 11

Dear Father in Heaven:  I love You, Jesus, and I want to thank You for loving me and loving me so much that You gave Your life for me.  Thank You, Lord.  Please, Lord, watch over those working out in the cold, be with the linemen and those tree trimmers and our police and firefighters, be with those who collect the trash.  Lord, please bring on an early spring.  I give thanks for a warm house and I give thanks to You who made it a home.  Now, dear Lord, please bless me with a message and then lease help me to dispatch it.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Hi, brothers and sisters.  Yes, I missed yesterday.  I spent the day in the truck plowing snow, or in this case a lot of ice and snow mixed.  It did not plow easily.  Anyway, back to the promises of our Lord Jesus.

Thursday, February 6, 2014, "I Promise!" (Day Eleven).

Galatians 3:28 - There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male or female, for you are one in Christ Jesus.  (NIV)

I want you to look really closely at this promise.  We are one, one in Jesus Christ.  We are either Christian or we are not.  We either love Jesus or we don't.  So according to this, we are not United Methodist, Assembly of God, Jewish, Catholic, and listen up, we are not black or white, nor red or yellow, we are one in Christ,or you are one in Satan.  I believe that is the the two choices.  In other words, we either follow Jesus or we follow Satan.  Yes, some will try and sit on top of the fence, and I pray those who are sitting on the top of the fence find it to be a picket fence.

Galatians 3:29 - If you belong to Christ then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.  (NIV)

Look at this promise that since we belong to Christ we are of Abraham's seed and we receive by heir, or are willed all the promises made to Abraham.

Psalm 119:105 - Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.  (NIV)

Are you afraid of the dark?  You need not be, for God is our Lamp, and He will light our path.  We just have so many promises from God, it is impossible to bring them all forth.  We need to really stand on the promises that God has made us. Think about it, God will light our path.

Psalm 118:17 - I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done.  (NIV)

The promise of life, which is found many places in the Bible, are tome the best of all promises, not that all the promises are not good ones.  But the gift of life is wonderful, but once again we are to do something for this.  What are we to do?  We are to proclaim what the Lord has done.  One way of doing this is by sharing our blessings.  So let me wrap up today with this.

Go forth now and share your blessings.  I love ya.  Please pass on that love.

Pastor Dan
