Friday 2/21/14 "I Promise" 20

Dear Father in Heaven.  I love You.  Thanks for saving me, and Lord, thanks for all the great promises, and thanks for keeping them always.  Lord, thanks for watching over family and friends, and Lord, thanks for progress seen on those we have been praying for, all honor and glory to You, dear Lord, all honor and glory to You.  Please touch Jaylea and heal her, please.  Please help me now as I finish out the series on promises from You. Then please help me to dispatch it.  In Jesus' Name, I pray and give thanks.  Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, this is week five of writing on the subject "I Promise!"  A total of 20 messages, and it should have been 25, but I missed a few days due to being tired from all the hours plowing snow.  Please pray today for people to read the message, and also pray for this request that just came in.  Jaylea has been admitted to the hospital, 80% of one lung full of fluid and the other 20% full.  Please also pray t his weekend for our President who flew to the west coast (playing golf) and our troops who stand ready to protect this country.

Friday:  February 21, 2014 "I Promise!" (Day Twenty)

John 14:1 - "Do not let your heats be troubled.  Trust in God, trust also in me.  2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I am going there to prepare a place for you.  3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."  (NIV)

John 14:8 - "I will not leave you as orphans; I will  come to you."  (NIV)

John 14:28 - "You heard me say, "I am going away and I am coming back to you.'"  (NIV)

Matthew 16:27 - "For the Son of Man is going to come in His Father's glory with His angels, and then He will reward each person according to what he has done."  (NIV)

Acts 1:9 - After He said this He was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid Him from their sight.  10 They were looking intently up into the sky as He was going, when two men dressed in white stood beside them.  11 "Men of Galilee," they said, "Why do you stand here looking into the sky?  This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven."  (NIV)

Revelation 1:7 - Look, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of Him.  (NIV)

Revelation 22:7 - "Behold, I am coming soon!  Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book."  (NIV)

Revelation 22:12 -"Behold, I am coming soon!  My reward is with Me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.  13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, as I told you at the start of writing "I Promise!" that there are over 7,000 promises from God in our Bibles.  I just really touched on the subject, and one thing for sure is that God never makes a promise that He did not or will not keep.  So I saved this until last for this promise is one He has made and so far, I said SO FAR it has not been fulfilled.  I want to tell you that I only touched on the scriptures in our Bibles where we could find this.  So by now you should know what the promise is, so let me say it like this.

HE'S COMING BACK, HE'S COMING BACK, I said brothers and sisters, He is coming back.  Now my question is, are you ready?  Are you Born Again?  Have you confessed your sins over to the Lord?  While I can lead you in a sinner's prayer, and I will do that, that is just the beginning of Salvation.

People say Salvation is free, it is not, it cost Jesus His life.  Also,it is not free to you, for as I talked about, there are attachments.  I am not talking money here, for you cannot work or buy your way into heaven, however, we must go to work for Him after we accept Him as our Savior.  Unless you have a bedside conversion, you will need to get going to work for our Lord Jesus.  "Faith without works is dead."  That is a quote from our Bibles.  Now how do you work for Him?  Tell others, tell them the Good News about salvation.  Go to church, a good one, and get involved in their work.  Help the needy, help at a food pantry or a clothing pantry.  Yes, there are many ways to work for the Lord, none of which standing alone will get you into heaven.  Only Jesus can make that call, so you need Jesus.  So I will get you started with leading you in the prayer, but brothers and sisters, this is a starting point.  Don't just pray this prayer and think that is all you need to do.  SPREAD THE WORD.  Brothers and sisters, we have people on this line, in beds at nursing homes, who still witness for Jesus by talking to the staff.  As long as you are breathing, you can still tell others about Jesus.  And when you stop breathing, you better have known Him!!

Let's pray.

Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive me of  my sins and wash me white as snow.  I do believe in Jesus and that He was born of a virgin, walked this earth and showed us how to live, then was put to death on the cross to save us from our sins.  I believe He was risen from the dead and today I ask that You write my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. I ask this in the Name of Jesus.  Amen.

Thank You, Jesus, for helping me daily, and thank You for this series.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.  (me thanking Jesus.)

One way to work for Jesus is by sharing your blessings.  Please now go forth and share them.  Love ya.  Please pass on that love.  Amen.

Pastor Dan
