Thursday 2/27/14 Repent 4

Dear Father in Heaven, I love You.  Please forgive me of my sins and sinful thinking.  Thanks for Your healing hand on Marie and for sending  her home from the hospital.  Thanks for bringing Glenn through his surgery.  Lord, please place Your healing hand upon Dave, Beverly, Ted, and Glenn.  Also, please be with Jim Orner who needs a job, and his wife Bev who broke  her arm.  Your touch upon all of our families is appreciated, Lord.  Please  keep watch over Jim as he travels home.  And Lord, please watch over our Matthew.  Protect the homeless in this cold weather.  And Lord, please help me with the message and also to dispatch it.  In the Wonderful Name of Jesus, Amen.

Hi, brothers and sisters.  Thanks for praying for those so near and dear to Carry The Light Ministries.  Dave Cernugel is a dear friend, and even has an antique school bus.  He is in very, very serious condition in the hospital.  Dave's mother, Beverly, also needs prayer, as does his wife Linda.  I will update you as I get information.  While I had a really great, really great day, I am getting tired, so I am going to get right to the message, Repent.

Thursday, February 27, 2014, Repent (Day Four)

Luke 15:8 - "Suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one.  Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?  9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.'  10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who REPENTS."  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, I sure can relate to losing things and then rejoicing when I find them.  It seems the older I get the more things I lose, and I hunt and hunt, and then pray about it, and then soon after I find what I had lost.  Two things on this!  One is I should have prayed first, and really practiced what I tell you folks.  (I am learning also.)  Next, I do praise God when I find the lost thing.  If it is worth hunting, it is worth asking God to help you find it and then praising God and rejoicing over it.

I can remember one day when my mamma gave me two dimes when I left for Sunday School, one for Sunday School and one to spend for a soda after Sunday School.  On the way to church, I was flipping one dime and I dropped it and it went down the storm drain.  Darn, I said, there goes God's dime down the drain.  (You can tell that is old, people might still put a dime in the offering plate, but try and get a soda for a dime.)

Anyway, we see again in this scripture what Jesus tells us about Repenting.  Today I saw on the news that an Eagles football player got a five-year contract for 25 million dollars.  Now this would cause lots of rejoicing at his house, I would think.  But even with that much money in heaven there will still be more rejoicing over that one lost sinner who REPENTS and comes back to Jesus.  STOP!

I just now, 8:26 PM, received a call from Nicole Corle that "little" Luke (her son Luke Corle) must go see a cardiologist as it was discovered that when he runs and plays his heart races.  He will be tested for a leaky valve.  This is my little buddy who just got the two goats.  Please, let's just stop right now and pray.

Dear Father in Heaven, please take this little guy in Your arms and love him and heal him.  Please, Lord, touch him even before he sees the doctor.  His family all love You, including Luke.  All honor and glory to You, dear Lord.  I pray in Jesus' Name.  Amen.

I was writing and talking about Jesus from the book of Luke when Nicole called me.  Right now I am going to just go to James.

James 5:13 - Is any one of you in trouble?  He should pray.  Is anyone happy?  Let  him sing songs of praise.  14 Is any one of you SICK?  He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.  15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; The Lord will raise him up.  If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.  16 Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.  The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, with so many of Carry The Light Ministries team getting sick, I just needed to go to this scripture right now and look it over.  As you know, I have faith in God's healing hand and I know also that when we confess our sins we also must repent.  So all of you look this over, and don't be afraid to ask your pastor to pray over you and anoint you with oil according to the scriptures in the Bible.  If your pastor will not pray with you and anoint you with oil, may I dare say YOU NEED ANOTHER CHURCH.  Now I know Luke goes with his parents to a good church, "Tree of Life" in Carlisle, PA.  Please, I ask all of you to pray for our Ministry and those who help.  It seems like maybe the devil might be trying to invade.  When you go to bed tonight, please pray.

I will pick back up on Repent tomorrow.  Now go forth and share your blessings.  Love ya, and please pass on that Love.

Pastor Dan
