Dear Father in Heaven. I love You. Please forgive me of my sins. Thanks for watching over family and friends. Thanks for looking after Glenn Garner, and we pray You will please keep Your healing hand upon him. Now, please, Lord, help me with the message and also to dispatch it. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, you will not believe this, but it is snowing this morning at the Southern Location of the North Pole. If it keeps on snowing, one will need to "jump up to spit." Next week it is to warm up. As much as we would like to see a quick warm-up, we need warm days and cold nights to do a slow melt of the ice and snow on the river. According to ABC 27 weather, there is now a foot of snow on the ice on top of the river. Let me get to the message on promises of God.
Friday: February 14, 2014, "I Promise!" (Day Sixteen).
John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (NIV)
Look at this promise, brothers and sisters. It is in the words of Jesus, and it tells us POINT BLANK that we cannot get into heaven without going through Jesus. Have you noticed that in all the promises made by our Lord, none of them are wishy-washy? They are plain to understand and to the point. Once again as I wind down on another week, I pray that you are learning not just the promises from God, but how important keeping your promises is. You expect others to keep a promise to you, and surely you would think others would want to keep their promise.
For a long, long time I have heard that car salespeople will lie and not keep a promise. Our family has found that we have a car salesman that has kept every promise he has made and his dealerships have supported him. We have used "Rick Fasick" now at Faulkner Cadillac for yeas and years. He keeps a proise. I cannot say the same for a saleslady I had from Verizon Wireless as when I purchased a new cell phone. She changed things on my program without my knowledge, I guess to to increase her commission. It is sad when dealing with the public and spending money that you worked hard to earn that you can't stand on their promises as we can stand on the promises of Jesus. Brothers and sisters, one of the reasons I write for the Lord is so to get His word out to both the saved and the unsaved, and even get it back to me, for I learn a lot as I lean on Jesus to help me each day. The fact is I could not do this without Jesus. The word of the Lord in our Bible is the inspired word of God, and you know, believe it or not, the words I write are also the inspired words of our Lord God.
John 14:7 - "If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know Him; and have seen Him." (NIV)
In the words of Jesus, He is telling His Apostles this so that they know who the Father really is. I am sure you all have heard the saying, "like father, like son," when you see a father and son who seem to be made from the same blueprint. Well, here it is in the Bible, "like father, like Son." That is one very, very great promise. When we get to heaven, we get to sit with Jesus, we get to sit with our Father in Heaven, and we will know them already. Yes, for if we do not know them, then we will not be sitting in heaven. We will be burning in Hell. Oh, and next week, we will find that promise also. Next week, I am going to end it up on the Promises, and we have a lot of good ones to get in. Now, brothers and sisters, I must get ready to go out and plow. But before I go, let me tell you about the snow, let me share this with you and maybe you might like to share it with others.
When I look at the snow, the fresh snow, I think about our Lord Jesus. I think of this pure white snow being the blood of Jesus and covering over my dirty old sins. I am now as white as snow. The snow is clean. Then along comes the salt truck and the plow truck and it turns the white snow over and it is all dirty again. Sort of like after God cleans us with the blood of Jesus and we are clean, and we go and sin again and get all dirty from the sins. Then God sends more snow and it gets pretty again. And if we ask Him, He will clean us again of our sins. So now the ground is white and so are we as our sins are covered. Then along comes the plow and salt truck and turns up the pretty snow and it is all dirty again, just as we are after sinning again. Then Jesus cleans us again and covers our sins with His blood, and the dirt if the plow truck is again covered by a fresh coating of snow. This goes on and on and on. Today, thank God for the snow, and thank Him for Jesus who cleans us of sins. And please remember this little story when it snows. I love all of you.
Now go forth and share your blessings. God will bless you more and more when you share His blessings. Love ya. Pass on the love, and maybe even my snow story.
Pastor Dan
P.S. Please pray for our president, that he comes to Jesus. Would you believe he is flying to California to give those folks a promise of one billion dollars to study climate change and to make them a promise that he will get them more water? Pray, warriors, pray. We need to pray hard so our president turns to God. AMEN
