Friday 2/28/14 Repent 5

Dear Father in Heaven:  I love You.  Please forgive me of my sins and help me each day to walk in Your light and help me please to repent of my sins.  Please be with Jim as he travels  home.  Please, Lord, touch Donna and heal her.  Please keep Your healing hand on Glenn, Marie, Ted, Dave, Beverly, "Little Luke,", Jayley, Patsy, Burt, Barbara, Bob, Eleanor, Sharon, Dolores, Matthew, Dan Stoner, and Dan, as in me, Lord.  And Lord, forgive me, for I think I missed a few.  Now, Lord, if You would be so kind as to help me with the message and then help me dispatch it, I sure would appreciate it.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

Brothers and sisters, the only updates I have are on Glenn who was moved from the hospital to rehab, and improving, and on Jayley who needs more prayers, and on Dave who is still not doing well at all.  We will keep praying and praising the Lord for all things.

PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR NATION.  THINGS DO NOT LOOK GOOD IN RUSSIA.  Pray for our president, and pray God gives him wisdom to know that now is not the time TO CUT OUR MILITARY.  So you know on Jim who we are praying for in traveling home.  Keep praying, I do not want to post the travel plans, just tell you he is coming out of a war zone.  I am sure I am missing things, but I need to get to the message.

Friday:  February 28, 2014, Repent (Day Five), Tomorrow we March Forth.

Acts 2:38 - Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.  And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."  (NIV)

Repentance was very important to John The Baptist, to Jesus, and also in the directions Jesus gave when He left.  I also want you to again notice that there is a great promise here that if we do repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of sins, we will receive the gift of The Holy Spirit.  Please note it is a gift, but again it comes with attachments; we need to repent.

Acts 3:19 - Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.  (NIV)

Once again we see instructions that we should repent, then turn to God.  And you see again we need to repent and then our sins will be wiped out.  Repent and turn to God.  How many of us have come to God before we repented?  We can see how important it is to be talking to the Lord about repenting and asking for His help for us to get it done.

Acts 17:29 - Therefore since we are God's offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone - an image made by man's design and skill.  30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now He commands all people everywhere to repent.  (NIV)

The Bible tells us we are all God's offspring, and we should not worship false idols and such were often made of gold, silver or stone by man's design.  It also said in the past God overlooked some of this because of ignorance.  But no more.  We are all commanded to repent, if indeed we want to get into heaven.  You know in all laws today it is said "ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law."  If you are going to drive a car you need to know all the laws first, and you are tested on them.  If you break one and say, hey, I did not know that, you will be held accountable.  We are being told here in the scriptures that we need to repent, and if you have not read the scriptures, shame on you.  That is why it is so important to get out the good news and make sure others know the RULES to get into heaven.  Repent and be saved.

Okay, so ends another week and another month.  Spring is not far off, hang in there.  At one time when I had my Exxon station in Progress, I would post on the reader board, "spring is just around the corner, go three lights and turn right."  People would ask what does that mean, I said go and find out.  Well, you went down to the third light and turned right and there was SPRING Street.  Okay, go forth and share your blessings.  Love ya.  Please pass on that love.

Thursday 2/27/14 Repent 4

Dear Father in Heaven, I love You.  Please forgive me of my sins and sinful thinking.  Thanks for Your healing hand on Marie and for sending  her home from the hospital.  Thanks for bringing Glenn through his surgery.  Lord, please place Your healing hand upon Dave, Beverly, Ted, and Glenn.  Also, please be with Jim Orner who needs a job, and his wife Bev who broke  her arm.  Your touch upon all of our families is appreciated, Lord.  Please  keep watch over Jim as he travels home.  And Lord, please watch over our Matthew.  Protect the homeless in this cold weather.  And Lord, please help me with the message and also to dispatch it.  In the Wonderful Name of Jesus, Amen.

Hi, brothers and sisters.  Thanks for praying for those so near and dear to Carry The Light Ministries.  Dave Cernugel is a dear friend, and even has an antique school bus.  He is in very, very serious condition in the hospital.  Dave's mother, Beverly, also needs prayer, as does his wife Linda.  I will update you as I get information.  While I had a really great, really great day, I am getting tired, so I am going to get right to the message, Repent.

Thursday, February 27, 2014, Repent (Day Four)

Luke 15:8 - "Suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one.  Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?  9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.'  10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who REPENTS."  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, I sure can relate to losing things and then rejoicing when I find them.  It seems the older I get the more things I lose, and I hunt and hunt, and then pray about it, and then soon after I find what I had lost.  Two things on this!  One is I should have prayed first, and really practiced what I tell you folks.  (I am learning also.)  Next, I do praise God when I find the lost thing.  If it is worth hunting, it is worth asking God to help you find it and then praising God and rejoicing over it.

I can remember one day when my mamma gave me two dimes when I left for Sunday School, one for Sunday School and one to spend for a soda after Sunday School.  On the way to church, I was flipping one dime and I dropped it and it went down the storm drain.  Darn, I said, there goes God's dime down the drain.  (You can tell that is old, people might still put a dime in the offering plate, but try and get a soda for a dime.)

Anyway, we see again in this scripture what Jesus tells us about Repenting.  Today I saw on the news that an Eagles football player got a five-year contract for 25 million dollars.  Now this would cause lots of rejoicing at his house, I would think.  But even with that much money in heaven there will still be more rejoicing over that one lost sinner who REPENTS and comes back to Jesus.  STOP!

I just now, 8:26 PM, received a call from Nicole Corle that "little" Luke (her son Luke Corle) must go see a cardiologist as it was discovered that when he runs and plays his heart races.  He will be tested for a leaky valve.  This is my little buddy who just got the two goats.  Please, let's just stop right now and pray.

Dear Father in Heaven, please take this little guy in Your arms and love him and heal him.  Please, Lord, touch him even before he sees the doctor.  His family all love You, including Luke.  All honor and glory to You, dear Lord.  I pray in Jesus' Name.  Amen.

I was writing and talking about Jesus from the book of Luke when Nicole called me.  Right now I am going to just go to James.

James 5:13 - Is any one of you in trouble?  He should pray.  Is anyone happy?  Let  him sing songs of praise.  14 Is any one of you SICK?  He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.  15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; The Lord will raise him up.  If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.  16 Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.  The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, with so many of Carry The Light Ministries team getting sick, I just needed to go to this scripture right now and look it over.  As you know, I have faith in God's healing hand and I know also that when we confess our sins we also must repent.  So all of you look this over, and don't be afraid to ask your pastor to pray over you and anoint you with oil according to the scriptures in the Bible.  If your pastor will not pray with you and anoint you with oil, may I dare say YOU NEED ANOTHER CHURCH.  Now I know Luke goes with his parents to a good church, "Tree of Life" in Carlisle, PA.  Please, I ask all of you to pray for our Ministry and those who help.  It seems like maybe the devil might be trying to invade.  When you go to bed tonight, please pray.

Wednesday 2/26/14 Repent 3

Dear Father in Heaven, I love You.  Thank You for the message You just gave me for Tuesday, and now, Lord, please bless me with another message for this our Salvation Wednesday, and please, Lord, guide us to the unsaved so we may tell them the Good News about Jesus.  OI pray for our president today that he is saved and knows You.   Help me also dispatch this message.  In Jesus' wonderful Name, I pray.  Amen.

Brothers and sisters, in my message on Tuesday I asked for prayers for my little friend Luke and his two goats.  Luke is the son of Jason and Nichole who help us here at Carry The Light Ministries.  Luke purchased a pygmy female goat, with a two-week old kid at her side.  He did this with his Christmas money.  People could learn a great message from parents who let their children have animals and also make them take care of them.  Last summer this family including "little" Luke came and cleaned out our goat pens and this little one helped.  At one time years and years ago we had a small farm, and each Saturday morning after a good breakfast, we cleaned out the barn and pig pens and the kids helped.

Okay, folks, it is Salvation Wednesday and a really great day to pray for those who are unsaved and to pray for God to use we who are saved to get the Good News of Jesus Christ to the unsaved.  Remember to repent and say worthy words.  Now let me get right to the message, Repent.

Salvation Wednesday:  February 26, 2014, Repent (Day Three).

Luke 15:3 - Then Jesus told them this parable.  4 "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them.  Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?  5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home.  Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.'  7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who REPENTS than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."  (NIV)

Just one long scripture on this Salvation Wednesday.  I love this story and those who know me from my day is at Central Dauphin Transportation might remember the picture of Jesus holding the lost sheep on His shoulders that was on my wall.  Yes, a picture of Jesus hung on my wall at my office in transportation from 1984 until I left in 1993.  I pictured myself as that lost sheep and the Lord looking for me, and I came to Him and He saved me.  This scripture also supports what we do on Salvation Wednesday and what we should be doing daily.  We who are saved need to be looking for those who are still lost.

I could use Dolores and myself as another example of this verse.  We have many animals, and we have rescued dogs and we also have indoor cats.  We over the years have done "bed checks" on the dogs and cats.  We have a fenced-in yard with a dog door but even with that, we want to be sure those indoor animals are truly indoors.  When we leave to go away even for an hour or two we find all the animals and make sure they are in the house.  When we had as many as sixteen rescue dogs at one time it would take awhile.  We now have nine after our dear Martha Mary passed away and we still account for all of them to be inside.  At night when we close up the door where the dog door is we take "inventory."  We have a really dark colored cat who will hide in the house.  We do a role call sometimes.  Is Morgan (21 years old and blind) in his bed?  Where is Missy, the dark cat?  We ask each other.  I have Martin, Jr.  Where is Mike?  Anyway, I could go on and on about this, and if one is missing and we find them, we call out PRAISE THE LORD.  I found him, he is under the chair or I found her, she was hiding in my closet.

This is how those in Heaven rejoice when a person who is lost, living without Jesus, comes to Jesus and we need to be searching them out.  And I want you to remember this, not all those sitting in church are saved, sometimes the lost are right under our nose and the only way we know for sure if they are saved is to ASK THEM.  Even with that we might not be sure.  Some pastors are not saved, and while I am not to judge, I do ask this.  How can a pastor like the one who was defrocked be saved when they are preaching and teaching a message that is so wrong?  How can they preach that gay marriage is okay with God when it is so wrong according to the Bible?  Folks, let me tell you here that God loves everyone, He also loves those who are saved and not saved, and I am sure cries when one is lost, or passed away before they came to Him.  God hates sin and so should we.  WE also need to love all of our brothers and sisters regardless of their sin, but we need to HATE the sin.

Please remember that we are all sinners, but we need to REPENT of those sins.  We have all heard the saying they are preaching to the choir.  Brothers and sisters, sometimes the choir needs preached to.  We who do pastor would love to think that all who come before us are saved,  but the fact is some of them might be seeking the Lord, so those who are saved in churches need to be setting good examples.  If a person comes to a church, one who is seeking God, and in that church there is "in-fighting," might the one seeking say "if this is being a Christian, I don't want to be like them?"

Also, others watch how Christians live.  Are we only a Christian on Sunday morning for an hour or two?  Do we walk our talk?  Listen, I know it is hard not to mess up, but when we really repent, if we really repent, we must really work at walking with Jesus and not just saying we do.  Daily I pray for God to forgive me of my sins, for there are times we sin and might not give it a thought.  Now you all know I tell it like it is, and how often, guys, are we talking in the food store, or someplace else, maybe even in church, when a good-looking lady walks by and we think to ourselves, "nice butt" or "nice legs" or "nice chest" (yes, I cleaned up the word chest), and ladies, you might be the same, you look at a man and say wow, "nice butt" or "nice arms" or maybe you are the one who wears that diving neckline and it is attracting those wandering eyes.  Yes, there are times we sin without thinking about it, and we all get caught up in those little sins, but a sin is a sin is a sin, brothers and sisters.

REPENT AND BE SAVED.

Tuesday 2/25/14 Repent 2

Dear Father in Heaven:  Thanks for a great Tuesday, Dear Lord.  I love You, Lord.  Please forgive me of my sins.  Lord, please have Your healing hand on Ted Hoffman,  Glenn Gamber, and thanks for healing Marie Gamber.  All honor and glory for healing goes to You, dear Lord.  Please, Lord, keep Your healing hand on Dolores, Ruby, Dan Stoner, the Saylors, the Emigs, and Lord, help carry the load for Grant and Wanda, Vicki, and others whose plates are full.  Be also with Leslie.  And Lord, watch over my friend Luke and his two new goats.  Lord, thank You for his family and all they do for us.  Lord, be with all your people as another cold snap is coming through.  We look forward to the rebirth coming in the spring.  Now, Lord, if You would please help me with the message and help me dispatch it, I would really appreciate it, and Lord, please touch the pain in my body.  In the name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

Yes, brothers and sisters, I know it says Tuesday on the top of the page and it is really Wednesday, and I am going to do my best, with the helping hand of God, to get both messages out this morning.  We do have incoming snow, but I am praying it does not need plowed.  Also, brothers and sisters, you in the colder climates, watch those pipes.  I pray this tip might help you.  If you have a wood stove and use it, and you also have pipes along your walls and/or hot water heat, you might need to be sure that your heat is on high enough to keep those wall area pipes warm and that might mean turn off that wood stove when the temperatures go way down.  Praise God we got gas last week for in the food pantry and they even filled it up.  It cost a lot, but we need to keep heat on in the food pantry on these really cold days.  Time to get to the message.

Job 36:10 - He makes them listen to correction and commands them to repent of their evil.  (NIV)

Jeremiah 15:19 - Therefore this is what the Lord says.  "If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me, if you utter worthy, not worthless words, you will be my spokesman."  (NIV)

Luke 17:3 - "So watch yourselves.  'If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.'"  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, let's look over the scriptures of Tuesday.  From Job:  He makes them listen to correction and commands them to repent.  When I look at this, I can't help but think about this weather we are having and how this might be grabbing the attention of all of us and we are to repent of evil.  We all know that our Lord God is in charge.  I think back to several years ago when I was on the board of the Museum of Bus Transportation, and I was also chaplain.  Each meeting we opened with prayer.  Then someone new came on the board and complained and the prayers were stopped and a moment of silence was made.  I WALKED OUT.  Within a year there was a big, big flood, higher than any in history on the Swatara Creek near where the buses were stored, though not at the main Museum.  All of those buses went underwater.  Was God mad because the prayers were stopped?  Was this a warning shot to bring folks to their knees?  To cause people to repent?  Think about it, and look at all the weather related problems.  Is God calling us all to repentance?  Yes, of course He is.

Jeremiah 15:19 - Therefore this is what the Lord says.  "If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me, if you utter worthy, not worthless words, you will be my spokesman."

In Jeremiah we see here about repenting and it is a promise.  "If you repent I will restore you."  And why is He restoring you?  So you may serve Him.  And He also tells us if we say worthy things and not worthless things we can speak for Him.  So brothers and sisters, this means we need to be first of all speaking the truth about things.  Now be sure you look at all of this, it tells us if we repent, and that means that all the things in our past are forgiven by God.  So I ask today, have you repented and are you worthy to speak for God?

Luke 17:3 - "So watch yourselves.  'If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him."

Now let's look at this closely.  If our brothers, and that means anyone, not just your blood brothers, if someone sins, Jesus tells us to rebuke him, and when they repent of those sins, forgive them.  Now listen to this, after you come to Christ you will always have someone cast your past against you.  Speak out to them and tell them your past has been wiped clean by Jesus and it is gone, and while I think all of us would like to forget some of the things in our past, and we remember them, DO NOT LET OTHERS HOLD THEM AGAINST YOU.  Do not let them bring them up.

Monday 2/24/14 Repent

Dear Father in Heaven:  I love You, and Father, please forgive me of my sins and sinful thinking.  Thank You for watching over family and friends, our flock at The Bridges, and all those on this line.  Thanks for all You do for us.  It is appreciated.  Lord, please be with Jim and Bev Orner.  Jim needs a job and Bev broke her arm.  Please, Lord, be with Ruby, Patsy, Burt, Barbara, and Lord, there are two of them needing Your touch.  Please be with Donna and her family, including Beverly.  Please be with the Saylor family, with the Stoner family, and Glenn and Marie.  Please help Wanda as she has such a full load.  And Lord, watch over Jaylea, please.  Lord, thank You, all honor and glory to You for bringing Art and Elaine home safe.  Lord, be with our president and other leaders, our veterans and our military, our police, firefighters, linemen, trash haulers, and all others who work hard to serve others.  Now, Lord, if You would be so kind to bless me with the message and then help me to dispatch it, I surely would appreciate it.  Oh, and Lord, please touch Dolores and carry some of her pain, and me also, Lord.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

Brothers and sisters, after five weeks of writing about promises, it is time to move on to another subject.  I have a lot of prayer requests, and if you would just look over my personal prayer which I open with each day, you will find those requests in that prayer.  It is nice to see the sun out today and what a great weekend we had here at the Southern Location of the North Pole.  NASCAR is back and baseball has started spring training.  Hang in there, spring will be here in a wink.  Let me get to the message, REPENT!!

Monday, February 24, 2014, Repent (Day One).

Matthew 3:1 - In those days John The Baptist came, preaching in the desert of Judea 2 and saying, "Repent for the kingdom of heaven is near."  3 This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah:  "A voice of one calling in the desert, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.'"  (NIV)

Isaiah 40:3 - A voice of one calling:  "In the desert prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the wilderness a highway for God."  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, as I have told you so many, many times, when God gives me a subject to write about, most often, most often, He wants me to look at the subject not just to send to all of you, but for me to look at for myself also.  So today's subject is for all of us, and again I would like to point out that us equals me and you.  Yes, and I even put me ahead of you on this one.

I wrote out the scripture from Isaiah 40:3 just to show you how the prophet Isaiah's words have been long ago fulfilled.  When we look at the scripture from Matthew 3:1/3 we can see it is John the Baptist who came preaching, and what was he preaching about?  Repentance!  And he was telling the people of that day that the Kingdom of Heaven is near.  How long has it been since you have heard a really strong message in church that tells you that you need to REPENT for the Kingdom of Heaven is near?  And I mean really hit hard on repentance.  I want to bring out two more scriptures today and they come from:

Luke 13:3 - "I tell you, no!  But unless you repent, you too will all perish."

Luke 13:5 - "I tell you, no!  But unless you repent, you too will all perish."  (Both NIV)

These scriptures are both quotes of Jesus, my dear brothers and sisters.  Now who was He talking to?  It really does not make any difference since Jesus is still the same today as He was back then and He will be the same forever and ever (Hebrews 13:8).  So what Jesus is saying is unless we, and gain I am using a word that means me and you, or you and me, we will perish.  I am telling you that when you really dig into The Word of Jesus and study it you can get scared.  Maybe we should call the Bible "Scared Straight."  Years ago, if my memory still serves me right, the police had a program called "Scared Straight" and they would take kids to a prison or jail and show them what it might be like to get locked up.  How dare I say this next statement, but maybe our schools should have a cell type room where if you got out of line in school you were put in the jail cell all day and even serve them lunch through the bars.  Have a toilet and sink in the cell.  Why, the school board would be sued in a heartbeat over that one.  Anyway, we are going to dig into the subject really good this week and each day we should all pray for God to help us repent.  You can't do it alone, folks, you need Him to help you.  See you tomorrow.

Friday 2/21/14 "I Promise" 20

Dear Father in Heaven.  I love You.  Thanks for saving me, and Lord, thanks for all the great promises, and thanks for keeping them always.  Lord, thanks for watching over family and friends, and Lord, thanks for progress seen on those we have been praying for, all honor and glory to You, dear Lord, all honor and glory to You.  Please touch Jaylea and heal her, please.  Please help me now as I finish out the series on promises from You. Then please help me to dispatch it.  In Jesus' Name, I pray and give thanks.  Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, this is week five of writing on the subject "I Promise!"  A total of 20 messages, and it should have been 25, but I missed a few days due to being tired from all the hours plowing snow.  Please pray today for people to read the message, and also pray for this request that just came in.  Jaylea has been admitted to the hospital, 80% of one lung full of fluid and the other 20% full.  Please also pray t his weekend for our President who flew to the west coast (playing golf) and our troops who stand ready to protect this country.

Friday:  February 21, 2014 "I Promise!" (Day Twenty)

John 14:1 - "Do not let your heats be troubled.  Trust in God, trust also in me.  2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I am going there to prepare a place for you.  3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."  (NIV)

John 14:8 - "I will not leave you as orphans; I will  come to you."  (NIV)

John 14:28 - "You heard me say, "I am going away and I am coming back to you.'"  (NIV)

Matthew 16:27 - "For the Son of Man is going to come in His Father's glory with His angels, and then He will reward each person according to what he has done."  (NIV)

Acts 1:9 - After He said this He was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid Him from their sight.  10 They were looking intently up into the sky as He was going, when two men dressed in white stood beside them.  11 "Men of Galilee," they said, "Why do you stand here looking into the sky?  This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven."  (NIV)

Revelation 1:7 - Look, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of Him.  (NIV)

Revelation 22:7 - "Behold, I am coming soon!  Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book."  (NIV)

Revelation 22:12 -"Behold, I am coming soon!  My reward is with Me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.  13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, as I told you at the start of writing "I Promise!" that there are over 7,000 promises from God in our Bibles.  I just really touched on the subject, and one thing for sure is that God never makes a promise that He did not or will not keep.  So I saved this until last for this promise is one He has made and so far, I said SO FAR it has not been fulfilled.  I want to tell you that I only touched on the scriptures in our Bibles where we could find this.  So by now you should know what the promise is, so let me say it like this.

HE'S COMING BACK, HE'S COMING BACK, I said brothers and sisters, He is coming back.  Now my question is, are you ready?  Are you Born Again?  Have you confessed your sins over to the Lord?  While I can lead you in a sinner's prayer, and I will do that, that is just the beginning of Salvation.

People say Salvation is free, it is not, it cost Jesus His life.  Also,it is not free to you, for as I talked about, there are attachments.  I am not talking money here, for you cannot work or buy your way into heaven, however, we must go to work for Him after we accept Him as our Savior.  Unless you have a bedside conversion, you will need to get going to work for our Lord Jesus.  "Faith without works is dead."  That is a quote from our Bibles.  Now how do you work for Him?  Tell others, tell them the Good News about salvation.  Go to church, a good one, and get involved in their work.  Help the needy, help at a food pantry or a clothing pantry.  Yes, there are many ways to work for the Lord, none of which standing alone will get you into heaven.  Only Jesus can make that call, so you need Jesus.  So I will get you started with leading you in the prayer, but brothers and sisters, this is a starting point.  Don't just pray this prayer and think that is all you need to do.  SPREAD THE WORD.  Brothers and sisters, we have people on this line, in beds at nursing homes, who still witness for Jesus by talking to the staff.  As long as you are breathing, you can still tell others about Jesus.  And when you stop breathing, you better have known Him!!

Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive me of  my sins and wash me white as snow.  I do believe in Jesus and that He was born of a virgin, walked this earth and showed us how to live, then was put to death on the cross to save us from our sins.  I believe He was risen from the dead and today I ask that You write my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. I ask this in the Name of Jesus.  Amen.

Thank You, Jesus, for helping me daily, and thank You for this series.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.  (me thanking Jesus.)

Thursday 2/20/14 "I Promise!" 19

Dear Father in Heaven.  I love You.  Please forgive me of my sins and help me repent of them.  Also, please take away some of my pain, please, Lord, please, just some, please, Lord.  Please be with Troy McCollum, Lord, who had an accident riding his bike.  Please watch over Ruby.  And please take care of Matthew.  Please, Lord, be with Wanda and help her carry the load she has on  her right now.  Thanks for  helping in the house with Beth and Craig.  Lord, be with Glenn and Marie Gamber and heal them.  Be also with Dan Stoner and his family, and Lord, heal Judy Rudy of cancer.  Lord, please watch over Patsy and Burt, and also Dale Whisler.  Watch over our flock at The Bridges and take care of them.  And please keep Jim safe as he travels home.  Now, Lord, please help me with the daily message and then  help me to dispatch it.  In the name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

Brothers and sisters, it was like summer  here at the Southern Location of the North Pole as the temperature went all the way up to freezing.  No, it really did go into the forties, PRAISE THE LORD!!  And God is good, as the gas truck pulled in yesterday and they filled the tank.  It was below empty on the gauge and we must keep some heat on in the food pantry.  Anyway, praise God for that.  Always something to be thankful for.  Amen.  Now let me get to the message.

Thursday:  February 20, 2014, "I Promise!" (Day Nineteen).

John 14:1 - "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me.  2 In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you."  (KJV)

I have seen pictures of what people call mansions here on earth.  Some are so big that one could get lost without leaving their own house.  But here we have a promise from our Lord Jesus that if we love Him, and of course love also His (ours also) Father in Heaven, we will live there.  Think of this, in the house of our Heavenly Father there are many mansions, and someday, if we indeed are born again, we will reside in that mansion.

John 14:15 - "If you love me, you will obey what I command.  16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever.  17 The Spirit of truth.  The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him.  But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you."  (NIV)

This is our Lord Jesus who makes us a promise here and that promise is leaving us with The Holy Spirit.  One of the names of our Lord Jesus is Counselor and here we can see our Lord Jesus telling us He will be leaving us with another Counselor.  Of course we need to know Jesus and accept Him as our Savior and then The Holy Spirit enters us and dwells within us.  This is so neat, Jesus just gave me this.  A lot of people pay a lot of money to talk to a counselor and we have one "built in" and we can talk to Him anytime.  Three for the one.  We get The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, and  just for the asking, and of course living the very best we can to please them.

John 14:27 - "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your  hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, all of the scriptures that I have used so far this day are in the words of Jesus.  Jesus is being quoted.  Look at this.  Peace I leave with you.  Now we are not talking worldwide peace, we are talking inner peace.  Peace of mind if we just learn to trust in Jesus, fully trust in Him.  Jesus again saying, "My peace I give you."  Brothers and sisters, this is not a short-term loan, or a long-term loan, or something we need to purchase.  Jesus tells us, "MY PEACE I GIVE TO YOU!!!"  Please shout PRAISE THE LORD.  Jesus does not give to us as the world does, and I want to say praise the Lord for that.  Now look at this, please take the time to really understand this. Jesus tells us, "Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."  Jesus is not telling us here to do something stupid when talking about being afraid.  For example, I am afraid of heights, so when I wear my cowboy boots I get afraid because of the high heel, just kidding, but I am afraid of heights, and I am not going to just say I do not need to be afraid and go climb up where I do not belong.  This is telling me that I do not need to be afraid of life, if I live as Jesus commands us to do.  So please come to Jesus and live to please Him.

Brothers and sisters, it is very hard to wrap up this series as there are just so many promises.  Tomorrow I am going to wrap it up and you do not want to miss it.  Today I want to tell you this.  So many people over the years that are running for offices make so many promises, but only our Lord God makes them and keeps them.  NO ONE ELSE, only our Lord God.  I have heard over and over again some running for office saying if I am elected people will find out that "The Buck Stops Here." Well, let me tell you that they cannot even say that and mean it.  However, if anyone wants to know where the "buck really stops," just check the offering plate at church.  Yes, the buck stops with God.  But put the joke aside, and know that in life, in life, in all we do, if we really live to please God, He will be very happy to have the "buck stop with Him."  Just pray and talk to Him about it. Take time to talk over things with our Heavenly Father and please remember this as found in -

John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one come to the Father except through me."  (NIV)

Please remember to close your prayers with "in Jesus' Name I pray."  Please do not say "in His Name," or just "Amen."  If you say, "in His Name," someone might hear you and wonder who "His" is.  The Bible is clear and it is in the words of Jesus.  THE ONLY WAY TO THE FATHER IS THROUGH JESUS.  And that is in the Bible and it is in all we do which includes praying.

Dear Father in Heaven:  I love You.  Please, dear Lord, forgive me of my sins, and Lord, please be with Glenn and Marie and heal them.  Be with Jim Otto and bring  him  home safe, for Father, You know where he is located.  Lord, be with Wanda and help her carry the load she has on her at this time.  Lord, forgive me, please, for missing yesterday on this line.  I was tired from plowing.  Please  help us carry out Your command to share Your love and the Good News.  Please, Lord,  help me now with the message of today, and then please, Lord,  help me dispatch it.  In the Name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

Good morning, my dear brothers and sisters.  I am so sorry I missed yesterday.  I was tired from plowing snow.  Today we are getting some rain.  Praise God I do not need to plow rain.  Today, please pray for Glenn and Marie, parents of Wanda and Glenda, both prayer warriors on this line.  Glenn and Marie are both in the Holy Spirit Hospital.  Please also pray for Dean and Martha's son Jim as he comes home from a foreign assignment.  Also pray for our nation for it is TIME WE TURN BACK TO GOD!  And brothers and sisters, it needs to start with us, yes, us, me and you, you and me.  And we need to keep praying for our "so-called" leaders on Capitol Hill.  Pray, warriors, pray.  Now let me get going on the message, and again, it is promises from God.  I really want to wrap it up this week.

Salvation Wednesday:  February 19, 2014, "I Promise!" (Day Eighteen).

Isaiah 12:1 - In that day you will say:  "I will praise You, O Lord.  Although You were angry with me, Your anger has turned away and You have comforted me.  2 Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.  The Lord, The Lord, is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation."  3 With joy you will draw waters from the wells of salvation.  (NIV)

As I talk today on this Salvation Wednesday, we find the scriptures telling us that "I will praise You, O Lord."  The Bible also tells us that God's anger has turned away from us and that should comfort us.  Yes, people say that God might not get angry but He did and still does, and yes, it tells us that in the Bible.  My thinking is that His anger turns away from us when we come to Him and humble ourselves and pray for forgiveness of sins and REPENT of those sins.  And brothers and sisters, maybe others will not tell you this but I will, for as you know, I try my best to give it to you as God gives it to me.  We need to pray hard each day for God to not just forgive us of our sins but to help us to REPENT of them.  For out of everything we do each day, out of everything we do each day, the hardest thing for us to do is to get through the day without committing a sin.  I want you to really think about that and to think about sins in general.  Even in your sleep, or in your thinking, we are indeed sinners, and I am so glad we have Jesus who went to the cross for us, yes, for me and for you for the forgiveness of sins.  So brothers and sisters, we should be praising the Lord all the time, and not just for an hour or so on Sunday morning.

Luke 3:4 - As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet:  "A voice of one calling in the desert, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.'  5 Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low.  The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth.  6 And all mankind will see God's Salvation."  (NIV)

Now the one being talked about here is of course John The Baptist, the one who came ahead of Jesus and announced His coming.  I want you to look closely at this scripture and see these promises.  First of all this is history, it is facts, it has happened, and we have proof of it for it is recorded in the world's best history book, THE BIBLE.  (Someone should say Amen on that statement.)  Anyway, we are to prepare the way for the Lord, and that means not just then but us now, we should be preparing the way, and how?  By repenting of sins and spreading the GOOD NEWS of Salvation through JESUS.  We are John the Baptist of today.  Now look at this.  Every valley will be filled in and every mountain and hill made low.  Have you watched those earth movers, taking the dirt from the high places and filling in the low?  Also think about this, there was a time not long ago that TV would not go over a mountain, you needed a straight shot to get something on your screen. And now a disk can pull it from the air.  So think of things that were hard as being high and getting lower or easier to do.  The crooked roads straight.  Do I need to mention the Interstate system over the old roads?  And those rough roads will be made smooth.  Oh yes, we are going to get some potholes to remind us that God is in charge for He and He alone sent us this weather.  And that last part.  "All mankind will see God's Salvation."  But remember, all will see it, but not all will receive it, for those who turn from God will not see salvation.  (God's words, not mine.)  One more scripture for today.

Titus 2:11 - For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.  12 It teaches us to say "NO" to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.  (NIV)

Okay, brothers and sisters, and as we know that term, men, means mankind, or men and women. Look, for the grace of God brings SALVATION has appeared to all men (women) and we are to say no to an ungodly lifestyle and worldly passions and to be self-controlled and upright.  So many people today when they do something wrong will try and blame someone else.  Some even want to blame Satan, and he gets too much credit.  Self-control, brothers and sisters. The buck stops with us.  Live each day as if God is watching you, for He indeed is.  So live each day as if you could SEE GOD WATCHING YOU.

Also stop doing this.  Yesterday on a local radio show the local talk show host was telling how he was a Christian, and that how Christians are the most beat-up people there are.  He is saying how people hate Christians world-wide.  Then later, same show, same day, he talked about going to a movie and sneaking in food for his kids and how in the winter with more coats on they can sneak in more.  So be careful that as we claim to be Christians we are not giving people reasons to just hate what we do.  Again, let me repeat what I said before.  The buck stops with us.  Live each day as if God is watching you, for He is indeed.

And He even watches as you go forth and share His blessings that He gave unto us.  Share them, please.  Love ya, and please pass that love on.

Dear Father in Heaven. I love You very much, and I pray that You will forgive me of my sins.  Please also help me to repent.  Please be with all those who use this line.  Please watch over Marie and Glenn and heal them, Lord.  Watch over Wanda, for her plate is full, Lord.  Please, dear Lord,  help me now with the message and then help me to dispatch it.  Please, Lord, on this Presidents' Day here in the USA, please watch over Presidents Carter, Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Obama, and bless and protect them.  In Jesus' Name, I ask this and also give thanks for all You do.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Well, brothers and sisters, it is to snow some more at the Southern Location of the North Pole.  So it will be early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy and ready to plow.  (I never said I was a poet!)  Please pray for our presidents today.  Okay, let me get back to the promises of God.  I want to wrap it up this week.  Before that, a Presidents' Day question.  Name me one former president not buried in the United States of America.

Monday, February 17, 2014, "I Promise!" (Day Seventeen).

Joshua 1:15 - No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life.  As I was with Moses so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.  (NIV)

I just love this one.  Well, truthfully, I love all God's promises.  But check this out.  No one will be able to stand against you.  And  how long will this last?  All the days of your life!  Now you might say oh, this was First Testament and was for Joshua.  But wait, look at this first.  "I will never leave you nor forsake you."  Now go with me, please, and see where I get this.

Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today and forever.  (NIV)

Okay, you say, but Pastor, you still have not tied it together, so let me take it deeper.  Are you ready?

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.  2 He was with God in the beginning.  (NIV)

John 1:14 - The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.  We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from The Father, full of grace and faith.  (NIV)

Do you follow that now?  God The Father, God The Son, and God, The Holy Spirit.  God in three Persons.

Joshua 1:9 - Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous.  Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.  (NIV)

Now we saw that God will never leave us or forsake us, of course we must have faith and believe.  I showed you that God from the first testament is Jesus of the Newest Testament.  But look, He will never leave us or forsake us regardless of where we go.  Walk with God and He will walk with you.  Military folks, God is with you regardless of where you serve our nation.  He will be with you awake or asleep, in sickness and in health, if you are rich or poor, regardless of what is going on, as "long as you love Him, He will be with you."  On land or sea, or in the air, God has promised us He will be with us.  God is good, another great promise of God.

Friday 2/14/14 "I Promise!" 16

Dear Father in Heaven.  I love You.  Please forgive me of my sins.  Thanks for watching over family and friends.  Thanks for looking after Glenn Garner, and we pray You will please keep Your healing hand upon him.  Now, please, Lord,  help me with the message and also to dispatch it.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

Brothers and sisters, you will not believe this, but it is snowing this morning at the Southern Location of the North Pole.  If it keeps on snowing, one will need to "jump up to spit."  Next week it is to warm up.  As much as we would like to see a quick warm-up, we need warm days and cold nights to do a slow melt of the ice and snow on the river.  According to ABC 27 weather, there is now a foot of snow on the ice on top of the river.  Let me get to the message on promises of God.

Friday:  February 14, 2014, "I Promise!" (Day Sixteen).

John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me."  (NIV)

Look at this promise, brothers and sisters.  It is in the words of Jesus, and it tells us POINT BLANK that we cannot get into heaven without going through Jesus.  Have you noticed that in all the promises made by our Lord, none of them are wishy-washy? They are plain to understand and to the point.  Once again as I wind down on another week, I pray that you are learning not just the promises from God, but how important keeping your promises is.  You expect others to keep a promise to you, and surely you would think others would want to keep their promise.

For a long, long time I have heard that car salespeople will lie and not keep a promise.  Our family has found that we have a car salesman that has kept every promise he has made and his dealerships have supported him.  We have used "Rick Fasick" now at Faulkner Cadillac for yeas and years.  He keeps a proise.  I cannot say the same for a saleslady I had from Verizon Wireless as when I purchased a new cell phone.  She changed things on my program without my knowledge, I guess to to increase her commission.  It is sad when dealing with the public and spending money that you worked hard to earn that you can't stand on their promises as we can stand on the promises of Jesus.  Brothers and sisters, one of the reasons I write for the Lord is so to get His word out to both the saved and the unsaved, and even get it back to me, for I learn a lot as I lean on Jesus to help me each day.  The fact is I could not do this without Jesus.  The word of the Lord in our Bible is the inspired word of God, and you know, believe it or not, the words I write are also the inspired words of our Lord God.

John 14:7 - "If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well.  From now on, you do know Him; and have seen Him."  (NIV)

In the words of Jesus, He is telling His Apostles this so that they know who the Father really is.  I am sure you all have heard the saying, "like father, like son," when you see a father and son who seem to be made from the same blueprint.  Well, here it is in the Bible, "like father, like Son."  That is one very, very great promise.  When we get to  heaven, we get to sit with Jesus, we get to sit with our Father in Heaven, and we will know them already.  Yes, for if we do not know them, then we will not be sitting in heaven.  We will be burning in Hell.  Oh, and next week, we will find that promise also.  Next week, I am going to end it up on the Promises, and we have a lot of good ones to get in.  Now, brothers and sisters, I must get ready to go out and plow.  But before I go, let me tell you about the snow, let me share this with you and maybe you might like to share it with others.

When I look at the snow, the fresh snow, I think about our Lord Jesus.  I think of this pure white snow being the blood of Jesus and covering over my dirty old sins.  I am now as white as snow.  The snow is clean.  Then along comes the salt truck and the plow truck and it turns the white snow over and it is all dirty again.  Sort of like after God cleans us with the blood of Jesus and we are clean, and we go and sin again and get all dirty from the sins.  Then God sends  more snow and it gets pretty again.  And if we ask Him, He will clean us again of our sins.  So now the ground is white and so are we as our sins are covered.  Then along comes the plow and salt truck and turns up the pretty snow and it is all dirty again, just as we are after sinning again.  Then Jesus cleans us again and covers our sins with His blood, and the dirt if the plow truck is again covered by a fresh coating of snow.  This goes on and on and on.  Today, thank God for the snow, and thank Him for Jesus who cleans us of sins.  And please remember this little story when it snows.  I love all of you.

Thursday 2/13/14 "I Promise!" 15

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for being with me this day in the plow truck and keeping me safe.  I love You, Jesus.  I really do.  Thanks for dying for all of us, dear Lord, and thanks for all the promises You have given to us.  Thanks for helping me write about them.  Please be with Glenn Garner and heal him, touch his family also.  Lord, be with those getting married tomorrow and bless those couples, and help them go forth and bear children.  Now, Lord, help me write the message today and then help me dispatch it.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.  And Lord, I want to tell You again I love You.  And thanks for loving me.  I am so unworthy. Amen.

What a great day, and boy, did it snow.  As fast as I could plow a lot, it would cover over with snow again.  But brothers and sisters, it was a great day.  And tomorrow we do it all again.  Let me get to the message, and again we are looking at those promises from God.

Thursday:  February 13, 2014, "I Promise!" (Day Fifteen).

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.  17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.  (NIV)

As we look at this great promise, we see that some of this promise is already carried out.  God The Father has given His Son.  This promise keeps giving, but again we see this "attachment" to the promise, He gave His Son to those of US WHO BELIEVE IN HIM.  Of course you do understand that this is another gift of love, for God is love.  Another promise in this scripture is that Jesus was not sent to CONDEMN, but to SAVE.  Again, we just need to believe.

John 3:19 - This is the verdict:  Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.  20 Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and will not come into the Light, and will not come into the Light for fear that his deed will be exposed.  21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.  (NIV)

This is the promise of the Light (Jesus) coming into the world; however, the scripture tells us that evil men (women) hate the light, because their evil deeds can be seen.  The promise is that if we live by the truth we will come into the Light and again the Light is Jesus and we have His promise that what we do that is good is done through God.  In other words, without us loving the Lord we would not be doing good.

If folks would just learn that if we truly love God, He will light our path, open doors for us, take care of us, and as I have been writing about, will just take care of us and help us day after day after day.  Can someone shout out with me?  THANK YOU, JESUS, I LOVE YOU, JESUS!

Wednesday 2/12/14 "I Promise!" 14

Dear Father in Heaven:  I love You very much, and I appreciate You looking in on those we have been praying for.  Please, Lord, protect Your children as this new snowstorm  hits this area.  Please, Lord, watch over those who must travel tomorrow, and be with all those who work weather-related jobs.  In Jesus' Name, I ask also that You help me with another message on promises from God and then help me to dispatch it.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, I guess we are in for another major snow event here at the Southern Location of the North Pole.  I can hardly wait to get up into my plow truck and clear more snow.  I have figured out how to raise some money for the big cities that have no place to put the snow.  You load it into dump trucks and sell it down in Palmyra, PA, to be used to fill sinkholes.  Now don't laugh, that might get them through until spring.

Brothers and sisters, it is Wednesday, and that means it is Salvation Wednesday on this line, and the day we pray for those who might not be saved.  In fact, let's do that right now and then go to the message.

Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive us of our sins, and Lord, lead we who are saved to those who might not be saved and then give us the words to say to get those folks to come to You, Jesus, to be saved.  In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Salvation Wednesday:  February 12, 2014, "I Promise!" (Day Fourteen).

Acts 13:38 - Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.  39 Through Him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the law of Moses.  (NIV)

This is a great scripture with a wonderful promise to be used any day, but on Salvation Wednesday, God pointed this right out to me.  He is so good.  The promise of being Justified if we believe means this.  If we believe we will be forgiven of our sins and we will have the gift of righteousness.

Acts 20:35 - In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus Himself said:  "It is more blessed to give than to receive."  (NIV)

Let's take a look at this promise from our Lord who, remember, has promised us He would supply all of our needs.  Here we find that He will supply us and we should help the weak, meaning to me those who might be too weak to work, or they work but do not make enough to support their family.  Remember, God supplies our needs often through the hands of others, and we are also to work for our needs.  Yes, He will supply them, but if we refuse to work, then according to the scriptures, we should not eat.  We also find out in Acts 20:34 "It is more blessed to give than to receive."  This scripture and a few others is the reason that each day I close with the following line:  "Please go forth and share your blessings."  I wonder sometimes how many of you do that.  So today as I close out I am going to write it differently.  I do want you to remember this:  The greatest one of your blessings that you can share would be the telling of others about the gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ.  Now it is time for me to say ...

Jesus said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."  So please listen to Jesus as I also say to you, "go forth now and share your blessings."  Love ya.  Please share that love with others.

Tuesday 2/11/14 "I Promise!" 13

Dear Father in Heaven:  I love You very much.  Please forgive me of my sins and anything that I have done wrong in Your eyes.  Lord, be with Glenn Gamber and heal him, Lord, and please, Lord, be with his wife and family.  Lord, be with Mike and Sona and their family in their time of sorrow.  Please, Lord, watch over and protect President Barack Obama, as I pray for his soul first and then his leadership ability.  Please, Lord, help me with the message and then help me to dispatch it.  In the name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

Good evening, my dear brothers and sisters.  I want you to know this.  I love all of you.  I am sorry I have not been regular in my writing, for I know a few of you really count on it.  The fact is our weather has me sort of living in the plow truck and it looks like we are going to have another weather event that will need plowed.  There is, as always, a light at the end of the tunnel.  And the light at the end of the tunnel is, of course, as always, Jesus Christ.  I will talk about this statement in the message, so let me get to it.  Yes, more on "I Promise!"

Tuesday:  February 11, 2014, "I Promise!" (Day Thirteen).

2 Chronicles 30:8 - Do not be stiff-necked, as your fathers were; submit to the Lord.  Come to the sanctuary, which He has consecrated forever.  Serve the Lord your God, so that His fierce anger will turn away from you.  9 If you return to the Lord then your brothers and your children will be shown compassion by their captors and will come back to this land, for the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate.  He will not turn His face from you if you return to Him!  (NIV)

Stiff-necked?  Wow, I wonder if we are still able to use that term.  I would think that being stiff-necked would be sort of like being red-necked and we are not to use that term  anymore.  For me and my house, we will serve the Lord, and use all the wording in the "Lord's Master Book of Instructions and Guidelines."  I call that book the "Bible."  Anyway, we are not to be stiff-necked, we are to come to the Sanctuary, a place where God has consecrated, and how long will it be consecrated?  Forever and ever.  Now watch here, for here comes the promise.  "Serve the Lord your God so that HIS FIERCE ANGER will turn away from you."  So the promise once again comes with an attachment.  To keep away His fierce anger, we must "serve Him."

Now here comes the next promise from the same scriptures that God has given me today.  If we have turned away from Him and come back.  "If you return to the Lord then your brothers and your children will be shown compassion by their captors and will come back to this land, for the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate.  He will not turn His face from you if you return to Him!"  The promise is "He will not turn His face from you!"  However, and the point we must do ... we must return to Him.

Acts 13:29 - When they had carried out all that was written about Him, they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb.  30 But God raised Him from the dead.  (NIV)

Here is a really big and great promise, and yes, all of God's promises are big and great, but look here from the book of Acts.  Here is the promise and it has been carried out and witnessed.  "God raised Him from the dead."  Of course we are talking about Jesus our Lord and Savior and His being risen was a great promise.  Now let me tie together a couple of verses of scripture.

Acts 13:30 - But God raised Him from the dead.  31 And for many days He was seen by those who had traveled with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem.  They are NOW HIS WITNESSES to our people.  (NIV)

And we also witness this event for we can read it in our Bibles and witness it for ourselves through the inspired word of God.  AMEN.

Friday 2/7/14 "I Promise!" 12

Dear Father in Heaven.  I love You, and I would appreciate if You would clean me of my sins this day.  Thanks for watching over our family and friends.  Please, Lord, be with Glenn Garner and heal him.  Watch over his family also.  Please watch over this line and help me please with this message.  Then please help me to dispatch the message.  Thank You very, very much.  In Jesus' name, I pray.  Amen.

It is cold here at the Southern Location of the North Pole.  I had to put on long pants today to keep my legs warm.  Sad news at our home.  Our dear K-9 Yorkshire Martha Mary went to Heaven today.  We were given Martha Mary about seven years ago when her human mother went into a nursing home and none of her family wanted her.  She was a wonderful, beautiful little girl.  She was our fourth Martha Mary.  I love that name for a Yorkie.  Well, time to get to the message, and yes, I am still working on promises from God.

Friday:  February 7, 2014, "I Promise!" (Day Twelve).

Psalm 117:2 - For great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.  (NIV)

The Bible tells us that He loves us, and in Psalm 117:2 it tells us his Love toward us is GREAT!  And the faithfulness of His Love Endures Forever.

Psalm 57:10 - For great is Your love, reaching to the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.  (NIV)

Here is another scripture that tells us His love is GREAT and reaches to the heavens.  This tells me His love for us is here on earth with us but also reaches to the heavens, so when we get to heaven we will know that His love will go on.

Psalm 34:4 - I sought the Lord and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.  (NIV)

Look, if we seek out the Lord and we talk to Him and that, brothers and sisters, is called prayer.  Yes, we can talk to Jesus, and although it is nice to get on your knees, it is not necessary, for He will listen when we talk, we just need to be sure to listen when He talks to us.  So brothers and sisters, I ask you this day,are you afraid of something?  Are you afraid of anything?  I have a fear of heights,and it got so bad that I was getting scared when I would wear my cowboy boots with the two inch heels.  I am kidding about that, but I do not climb, for I have a big fear of heights.  So if we fear anything, we can talk to Jesus and He will carry those fears for us.

This is the third week that I have been working on Promises from God and how He will never break a promise.  I have asked this question along the way and am asking again today.  Are you learning anything about keeping a promise?  If you make a promise, do you keep it?  Are you talking to Jesus more now?  Are you ready to go to our Mansion if Jesus should come back tonight?  It is Friday, let's pray together asking God to bless us over the weekend, and I am going to make a promise to Him to really get near Him this weekend.  Will you join me?

Dear Father in Heaven, please bless all those who use this line, and I want to make this promise that I want to get nearer and nearer to You starting this weekend.  I will need help on this, so please, Lord, help me.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

Thursday 2/6/14 "I Promise!" 11

Dear Father in Heaven:  I love You, Jesus, and I want to thank You for loving me and loving me so much that You gave Your life for me.  Thank You, Lord.  Please, Lord, watch over those working out in the cold, be with the linemen and those tree trimmers and our police and firefighters, be with those who collect the trash.  Lord, please bring on an early spring.  I give thanks for a warm house and I give thanks to You who made it a home.  Now, dear Lord, please bless me with a message and then lease help me to dispatch it.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Hi, brothers and sisters.  Yes, I missed yesterday.  I spent the day in the truck plowing snow, or in this case a lot of ice and snow mixed.  It did not plow easily.  Anyway, back to the promises of our Lord Jesus.

Thursday, February 6, 2014, "I Promise!" (Day Eleven).

Galatians 3:28 - There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male or female, for you are one in Christ Jesus.  (NIV)

I want you to look really closely at this promise.  We are one, one in Jesus Christ.  We are either Christian or we are not.  We either love Jesus or we don't.  So according to this, we are not United Methodist, Assembly of God, Jewish, Catholic, and listen up, we are not black or white, nor red or yellow, we are one in Christ,or you are one in Satan.  I believe that is the the two choices.  In other words, we either follow Jesus or we follow Satan.  Yes, some will try and sit on top of the fence, and I pray those who are sitting on the top of the fence find it to be a picket fence.

Galatians 3:29 - If you belong to Christ then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.  (NIV)

Look at this promise that since we belong to Christ we are of Abraham's seed and we receive by heir, or are willed all the promises made to Abraham.

Psalm 119:105 - Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.  (NIV)

Are you afraid of the dark?  You need not be, for God is our Lamp, and He will light our path.  We just have so many promises from God, it is impossible to bring them all forth.  We need to really stand on the promises that God has made us. Think about it, God will light our path.

Psalm 118:17 - I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done.  (NIV)

The promise of life, which is found many places in the Bible, are tome the best of all promises, not that all the promises are not good ones.  But the gift of life is wonderful, but once again we are to do something for this.  What are we to do?  We are to proclaim what the Lord has done.  One way of doing this is by sharing our blessings.  So let me wrap up today with this.

Tuesday 2/4/14 "I Promise!" 10

Dear Father in Heaven:  I love You, and I would really appreciate it if You would forgive me of my sins and sinful thinking.  Please, dear Lord, I want to thank You for watching over family and friends and I would really appreciate it if You keep doing the same.  Please be with our children and be with Matthew, wherever he might be.  Please help me this day with the message and then please help me to dispatch it.  Thank You, Jesus, and again, Jesus, I love You, I really do.  And I pray in Your name, Jesus.  Amen.

Hi, brothers and sisters.  I'm sorry I missed yesterday.  I spent the day in the truck plowing snow, and I had a lot of fun, but I got very tired.  I came out to do the message last evening and fell asleep, so I missed Monday.  Again, God has pointed me to writing about His many, many promises and as I start, okay, let me wait until I get started.  Lord, please be with Mike and Carol Backley as Mike's sister-in-law has passed from this earth.  Now onto the message.

Acts 2:38 - Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.  And You will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, for all who the Lord our God will call.  (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, check this promise out and who it is for.  The promise is if we REPENT and be baptized, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins, we will receive the GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.  Someone should say right now, Thank You, Jesus!!  So I will do that for all of us.  THANK YOU, JESUS.  Just think about this, when you get into bed tonight, and indeed if you have repented of your sins, when you get into bed, you will not get into that bed alone.  The Holy Spirit will be in that bed with you.  So tonight when I get into my bed, and yes, we have separate beds, I will share the bed with two or three dogs, my cat, and YES, THE HOLY SPIRIT.  God will never leave us and He gave us the Holy Spirit so we are never alone.  But look deeper into the scripture, it is a gift, and it is for us and our children and for ALL, even those who are Far Off.  They just need to repent and fall in love with Jesus.

So now let me ask you, have you ever had a love that grew deeper and deeper each and every day?  God is wonderful, and it sure is nice to have our Lord with us all the time.  If you really love the Lord, you never need to be alone, not just at night or when you climb into bed.  Let the love grow.

Ephesians 3:16 - So I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being.  17 So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.  And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.  (NIV)

I want to point out to all of you that He may strengthen you through His Spirit in your inner being.  Now here is the promise, that Christ will dwell in our hearts through our faith in Him.  Now I do want to show you this and call on your memory.  Do you see how most of these promises have some things attached?  On this promise it tells us He will (that is a promise) strengthen us through our faith, and that would be our faith in Him.  In the first scripture that I used today we are promised the gift of the Holy Spirit, if, and I say if, we REPENT and are baptized, meaning are "born again."  And if we repent and are "born again," we receive that promise of the Holy Spirit.  The scripture also talks about how wide and long and high and deep His love for us really is.  You are not going to measure it with a yardstick, but think about this.  How wide and long and high and deep is the Grand Canyon?  And that is like a grain of salt compared to His love for us.

Ephesians 3:10 - I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace given me through the working of His power.  (NIV)

Okay, we become a servant for God by working with the Gospel, and it is done through another promise, and that is the Gift of God's grace.  There is a promise that our treasures from God will be endless, if we just believe and if we indeed are servants.  When Jesus walked the earth He was a servant, He did not want to be waited on, He wanted to wait on others.  So I tell you this day, we need to fall in love with Jesus, we need to serve His people, serve all people, and help others and our treasures will be endless.  When will we see them?  In Heaven, of course!  What will those treasures be?  I am not sure, but we will have them, for it is recorded in our Bible.

I have not done this for awhile, brothers and sisters; however, I want to do this today.  I would like to hear from you who feel the same way.  I want to make this statement and you can quote me on this one.  Would you put your name in place of mine?  Here I go.

"Dear Lord:  I, Dan Lehman, love You very much.  I want You, Lord, and all others to know this.  I love my Bible, and I do believe it from the very beginning where it says and is recorded in Genesis 1:1 'In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth' to this as recorded in Revelation 22:21 'The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people.  Amen!'"

Yes, brothers and sisters, I believe in all of it, and I do not pick and choose, or say that it is not important.  I BELIEVE IT ALL and again I love Jesus very much.  I am "Born Again" and I am proud of it.  I want to try my best to walk with Jesus daily.  Yes, I mess up, but I really try hard not to.  So, brothers and sisters, what about you?  Do you love Jesus and do you believe the complete Bible and all that is within it?  Let me know.
