Wednesday Nov. 2, 2011 The Journey 2011-2

And God said, Let there be light and there was light. God saw that the light was good and He separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. And God said, Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water. So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. God called the expanse "sky" and there was evening and there was morning, the second day.

Good Salvation Wednesday, my dear brothers and sisters. Salvation Wednesday and the day we pray for the unsaved, the lost, and those who drifted from God. And we also pray for God to use we who are saved to help bring in the lost. Please keep praying for Glenn Gamber who is Wanda and Glenda's dad. Watch over John, the husband of Shelva, who is having some lung problems and watch over our daughter Danelle as she has surgery in the near future. Also our son Keith who is having a bout with kidney stones. And of course remember baby boy Noah.

Today we started at Allenberry for our Santa run, worked hard to get ready, rolled out our driveway right on the minute we set to leave. Rolled our big Eagle bus into Allenberry and unloaded the things we take to put under the tree. (We give gifts to people to talk to them about Jesus.) As I was unloading the bus one of the owners came up and said, we are so sorry, we did not call you. Today's play was cancelled as they had no electric for several days and did not get the new set finished. It worked well for us, we put the things under their tree, and sang to people who came in to just each lunch. And we got to kick off the season by eating Allenberry food, which, folks, is always good. Yum... The bus worked well, and we are home safe. Tomorrow we go again... Let's get to Our Journey...
The Journey 2011-2 Genesis 1:3 - And God said, Let there be light and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good and He separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light day and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. 6 And God said, Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water. 7 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the expanse "sky" and there was evening and there was morning, the second day. (NIV)

So we climb aboard the sleigh and we take another look at the beginning of time. Shhhh, let's listen in as God speaks things into being.

"Let there be light," and wow, we are out of the darkness on the spot. Grab those sunglasses for a while, for the light is bright. And now we pull the sunglasses off as it becomes night and we have just witnessed that very first day of creation. Shhhh, God is doing it again, He is speaking. Let there be an expanse between the waters, to separate water from water. Gosh, did we just hear that, it was all water, as we looked and got our very first look on that first day we had light, but all we had to see was water. Now we have sky, and although the Bible does not spell it out here in creation, I would think there would not be a cloud in that sky. Now I want you to remember this one as we sort of wrap up this day. In the next week or so it will come up again. Remember that on this second day we have water under us and water over us and the sky in the middle.

By the way, the correct answer to yesterday's question, well, I am not telling you yet, but all who responded so far got it right... The question was, how many days did it take God to create the Heavens and the earth and all that is in it?

Dear Father in Heaven, we want to thank You so very, very much for answering our prayers on this first day of Allenberry to keep the bus running and keep us safe. Now, Lord, we ask You to help us to seek out the lost for You so we can bring them to You to be saved. Please be with all those who have been on our prayer lists, and please, dear Lord, look after "Glenn" and heal him. And Lord, please bless John as he goes through tests and also be with our daughter Danelle and and son Keith and baby boy Noah. Help me daily with the messages... And Lord, bless all of those on this line and all those in our flock at the Bridges, and Lord, please look after and keep your hand upon those who do not have food to eat and help us to be able to serve more and more of them. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Now go forth sharing your blessings, and living for God, after all, He did give us this day, and we should live it to please Him. Love ya, Pastor Dan.
