Good late evening, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Tuesday and the day we pray for a cure for those diseases as cancer, liver problems, breathing problems, heart problems, etc. Today we pray also for Ann, who has cancer, for Glenn and Marie Gamber. Glenn has been in the hospital, and last night Marie was taken into the ER and treated. Marie was released, her husband is still in. Please pray for Grant and Wanda Crockett, and for the rest of the Gamber family as they are working hard to help their aging parents. Please pray for Todd and also Tyler. Both of these men have drifted from their family and prayers are needed to bring them back. Pray for the rest of their family as they are trusting God to answer this call. Please keep praying for Baby Boy Noah. Please pray for Dolores, her new right knee is starting to twist again and remember this is the third one.
Please pray daily for Carry The Light Ministries Food Pantry, as we walk out in faith to help the needy. Again we are looking for "pickers and packers" on the afternoon of December 3rd (1:00 to app. 3:00 PM) and again on December 17th in the afternoon to hand out the food. Brothers and sisters, we need about 25 to 30 folks on the 3rd and about 20 on the 17th. I will put on a pot of hot dogs for you to eat that day. Please call 717 691 8200 if you can help. Well here we are again, up in the sleigh and looking down on what God is up to on this sixth day of creation... Interesting, is it not?
Let's start out today on our trip by being very still and quiet again as God once again speaks into being creation. And again it starts out with God speaking. And God said... And he put the living creatures on the earth. Livestock, creatures that move on the ground, and wild animals. Now while none of these animals and creatures have yet been named, because God leaves that up to man to do and we will get into that at a later writing, I do want to look ahead. As we are in the sleigh, and we are being pulled by, yes, by reindeer, and while we know that the sleigh and reindeer don't fly (I hope I did not mess up your Christmas on that one) we do have reindeer and they are beautiful animals. No, their noses do not glow in the dark or shine. Anyway, think about it, think about how you have your nice pets and how God created them way back when He created all the animals. And think about all the livestock He made... sheep, goats, cows, horses, donkeys, camels, chickens, turkeys. And all those wild animals, that we should let in the wild. Tigers, lions, oh and those pretty panda bears. Don't take this lightly, I want you to think about all the different kinds of animals, maybe make a list and see how many you can think of. That would be a good drill for kids, or even folks in retirement homes. How many animals can you think of today?
So let us move on and the time is here and God is going to create man and woman. We will get into the names of who He created first but today I just want you to look at this. When He created man and woman He said "Be fruitful and increase in number." And people took that one to heart. But look in deeper here, God, before He made man, He had everything in place for us. He had the earth set up with waterways, and He had mountains and valleys, and plants with seed in them, and He had the animals and what did He do with all of that, He GAVE IT ALL OVER TO US TO TAKE CARE OF. Genesis 1:29 - Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the who earth and every tree that has fruit in it. They will be yours for food." He made all of these things and He gave it ALL TO US.
One other thing before I let you go today. Genesis 1:27 - So God created man in His Own Image. Now look, brothers and sisters, since we were created in the image of God, SHOULD WE NOT TRY OUR VERY BEST TO LIVE LIKE OUR LORD GOD? Think about that and let me pray and go to bed...
Dear Father in Heaven, Thanks for another day of life and thanks for another message, thanks for always being on this line and being so faithful. Over the years, Father, I have failed You and failed You, as did others who are sinners, and that would be all of us. Lord, we really are thankful for another day of life on earth and we want to live it to please You. And we will need help in that... Please also honor our other prayer requests according to Your will and not ours. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
