In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters and welcome to November and to The Journey for this year... But before we get started on the journey we need to tell you that this is the day we pray for a cure for things like cancer and heart problems, and remember that little baby boy Noah who has cancer. Also pray for Vicki and she is requesting prayer for her ex-mother-in-law who has cancer. I love it when people pray for their ex's and their families, that is the way it should be. Can't hold a garage, I mean grudge. No I did that on purpose as instead of holding a garage sale, we need to have a grudge removal sale, and just sell them all over to God. Yes, and He, Jesus, already paid the price for it, and He keeps paying it... Wanda and Glenda's father was kept in the hospital overnight, but he does not have a heart problem, he has bronchitis, so keep praying for him... I will get his name today. Come on, pack your bags, for we are heading out for our annual big journey.

You know the only way to start a journey like we are going on is to go way back to the beginning. Just so you know I do not look back over my notes from the years before as God gives me it fresh each year. Now I do remember that one year we traveled by SUV and another year by bus. For fun this year, and since I am the writer and my wife and I play Santa and Mrs. C (I am Santa, she can't grow a beard) (praise God for that one) -- so this year climb aboard our sleigh and we will watch the events from the sleigh...

Now let me clear this up right away, while we play Santa and Mrs. C., we by all means know why we have Christmas and we do put Jesus first and we use Santa and Mrs. C to tell others about Jesus, it is a great tool. Climb up, on Dancer, on Prancer, light the way, Rudy, as it is still dark and formless.

Folks, when we look down upon the heavens and earth before creation, what can we see? Nothing, because it is dark, and I mean dark. If you want to find out what darkness is, go in a room with no windows at night and close the door. Be sure all the lights are off in the house. Even then after a while your eyes would adjust, but not to the darkness of BEFORE GOD CREATED THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH. Now our scripture talks about in the beginning God, no place in my Bible which is the truth and the whole truth and nothing but the truth it does not say in the beginning Darwin. No Darwin folks, no big bang, God... In the beginning God created all of this that we have... Tomorrow we are going to start into the days of creation... Who can tell me how many days it took to create all that God did back then... I will watch for your answer, it is not a trick question.

Dear Father in Heaven, please be with us as we travel this trip back to the beginning of time and please be with us and help me to write what You want said as we journey along. Thanks for over the years giving the story to me fresh. And Lord, thanks for hearing our prayers, please answer them according to Your will.

Now be blessed, oh, have a candy cane as you ride in the sleigh. And remember to share those blessings, and not just at Christmas. Tomorrow we start out to do our Santa and Mrs. C (did I tell you that I am Santa?) Love ya, see you tomorrow. Pastor Dan.
