Thursday Nov. 3, 2011 The Journey 2011-3

And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so. God called the dry ground land, and the gathered waters He called seas. And God saw that it was good. Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation, seed bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seeds in it, according to their various kinds. And it was so. The land produced vegetation; plants bearing according to their kinds. And God saw it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.

Good Thursday Evening, my dear brothers and sisters. Thursday and the day we pray for families and schools. Be sure to remember to pray for the family of God.

Well, as you can see, my times of writing have been all over the board this week. I really like to write early in the mornings, but this week with the start of Christmas season has caused so early morning work to get moving. I hope to be back on schedule by mid-week next week. Pray for that please. Also our big Eagle bus that we run this time of year had a problem today, please pray the fix is easy.

The Journey 2011-3 Genesis 1:9 - And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so 10 God called the dry ground land, and the gathered waters He called seas. And God saw that it was good. 11 Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation, seed bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seeds in it, according to their various kinds. And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation; plants bearing according to their kinds. 13 And God saw it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, the third day. (NIV)

Still on board that sleigh, and having some fun as we watch and listen again as God speaks creation again... Shhh, Wow, do you remember all that water we talked about just yesterday?Today we are going to watch what God does with all the water that was under the sky yesterday. You will recall there was nothing but water above the sky and also below the sky. Later on we will talk about what was above the sky. Today we just want now to watch what happens as God tells the water to gather in spots... Wow, look, there it is, the seas, I wonder how many had the same names back then. I am not a history buff, and never really saw the name Atlantic Ocean in the Bible, but we know that God put it there. Oh, and he made those islands that are our 50th state. And he made those waters that go up along our 49th state. And think about it, the waters that are at our 1st state. In fact, folks, we do not have a state that does not have water in it. Think of it, The Bible said seas but God went on to make what we call lakes, and ponds and while, yes, we have some "man-made lakes," without God supplying water, the lakes that man makes and the ponds that man makes would be just another piece of dirt.

I have never seen anything like this... the water and the land, and let's get quiet again, as God does something to the land. Wow, what are those things coming up out of the land... Would they be trees, and veggies, look, at all those different types, and God put seed in them. And God made those seeds so that even now those seeds put in the ground grow great things... Like your garden. And look again from the sleigh and watch, do you see that there is some land higher than other land? Wow, low land and high land... Mountains and valleys. God is good. Oh, and did you know that before there was the dead sea, it was only sick? No, folks, I made that one up. My standard old joke, I am so old that I was born when that dead sea was just sick...

The answer to the question that I ask, and everyone who responded got it right. I asked how many days did it take God to do this creation... and you all said... ok, one more day before I give the answer. For those who responded you know your answer is correct. You got a hundred on your first test.

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for making land and thanks for the plants and trees and flowers and all those things that You gave us with the seeds in them to make more. Lord, I really like the bananas, I really do, but thanks even more for making so much that we are not bored with what to eat. Lord, help us to share our food with others... Thanks for making the mountains and valleys and all you have done... Oh, Lord, and we are only at day three in what You did. I am excited about hearing more. Be with all those who we have been praying for, be in our schools, in our homes, and Lord, please be with the family of God. Lord, how loving You are. Thanks again for the messages, thanks for watching over Glenn and we rejoice in knowing he is responding. Be with my daughter and thanks for kicking the stones from my son. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Now go forth sharing your blessings and living for God. Love ya, Pastor Dan.
