Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, it is Thursday and I am so sorry I missed yesterday. I was up very early to pick up some things for the food pantry and I got busy doing other things and the day got away from me. Please forgive me, for I know there are a lot of daily readers.
Yesterday was Salvation Wednesday and today is Schools and Families day, so let's put them together and pray for salvation for all families and also all who enter schools. Prayers also for Pat Emig, in the York Hospital recovering from surgery. Pat and her husband are long time readers, and when their computer went down, they wanted the daily message mailed and we honor that request. Two requests today for alcoholics. One is for Beverly, the other was unknown and listed as a "beautiful, intelligent wife of a co-worker." Her drinking has now turned to include "crack".
Please keep praying for Vicky and for her son Josh to get a house. Also for Dave who is crippled with arthritis. And brothers and sisters, my dear wife needs your prayers so bad, she is so riddled with pain, and she is twisting over, and she in the near future will be having some surgery on her spine in the neck area to remove a bone that is pressing on a nerve. Pray also for Rebecca and Timothy. Rebecca is 15 and with child, Timothy is 18 and heading into the military. After much prayer I will be joining this couple together in marriage this Saturday. Yes, I have the ok, from a judge of the orphans court. Thanks to those on this line who helped me with advice as I prayed about this wedding...
What's in a name? 3: John 4:42 - They said to the woman, "we no longer believe just because what you said: Now we have heard for ourselves and we know that this Man really is the Savior of the world." (NIV)
What a great name for God, The Savior of the World, and this when we are working on Salvation with families and people who go into our schools. The Savior of the World. You know when I grew up there were many, many neighborhoods that were segregated, even some of the deeds to houses back when I was a child tried to restrict the sellers from selling to anyone but a "white" person. Of course those days are gone (praise God for that), and those deeds still say that, which would be houses owned by the same folks today as back in those days. I want you to think about that, you find this nice house and you want to purchase it, You are a negro (term used back in those days) and you had the money, even the cash money and no one wanted to sell you the house. If a white person sold the home to a person of another color they were called neighborhood breakers.
Now let's look at the passage again, and the part that states "this Man really is the Savior of the world." For those who want to live in a neighborhood that has but one color regardless of that color, and want to do it because they have that much hate for those of another color, you had better change your attitude and your thinking for indeed if you get saved, you better be ready to live together with those of other colors and races. Do you remember that little song from Sunday School and Vacation Bible School... "Red or Yellow, Black or White, they are precious in His sight, Jesus loves the children of the world." God is so good and He is the Savior of the World, including all colors, all races, all religions, EVERYONE, with one exception, "The non-believer". You truly must walk with the Lord and believe in Him. Please see Romans 10: 9/10.
What does your name mean? Some people are writing in their names. I gave you what Daniel and Dolores mean, Sharon Elizabeth means "flower of God". Donna means "Lady" in Italian, Angela Elaine means "Angelic Light", and Barbara means "Beautiful Stranger". So what does your name mean? Let's do a couple more names of our Lord today.
From John 4:25 - The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When He comes, He will explain everything to us." 26 Then Jesus declared, "I who speak to you are He." (NIV)
Now as we look at this scripture please remember this, and remember it well. Meaning do not forget this. The scripture is from back when Jesus was walking the earth and this woman was saying when the Messiah comes He will explain everything... Folks, that time came and went, we must study our Bible and live by faith, for if WE WAIT FOR THE MESSIAH TO COME BACK TO HAVE THIS EXPLAINED, IT WILL BE TOO LATE. Explanations have been made and recorded in the inspired word of God we call our Bibles and we must live each day by faith. When the Messiah comes again, it will be to get His bride, His church, we who believe and live and walk in faith.

Once again we see a name for our Lord God. The "Only Begotten Son" and now let me enter John 3:17 to blend this together with the verse where I talked about all people, regardless of color and religions and races.
John 3:17 -For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (KJV)
Now again we see that the world would be saved, but look at the verse again. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. There is one word that jumps out at me this morning, and it is God I am sure pointing this out to me, for I read this over and over again through out the years since I have been saved, and there is a word I missed. Let me run it past you again and this time I will mark the word, let's see if it matches what jumps out a you.
For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him "MIGHT" be saved. Might be saved, could mean all, or it could mean some might not make it.
Dear brothers and sisters it is up to You. The Only Begotten Son, The Messiah, The Savior, will come again, and will take us that are saved, living or already in the grave, you must be saved, and folks, there is no getting saved, once you are on the bottom side of the grass. Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven, some of us know what our names mean while others might not, but an important thing is we know Your Name and what it means to us. Savior, you are indeed our Savior and You have many, many names, and there are some bad ones that people use, and we ask today that You might forgive us if we have used Your name in a bad way, wash us clean, as my mother washed my mouth clean, please, Lord, wash us clean from top to bottom, the top of our head to the bottom of our feet, help us to repent and come clean for You. Hear our prayers this day and open doors for us to seek out the lost for You. Touch those who drink too much and who do not pray to You for help. Help them, Lord, and help us work with them. Heal pain, and heal bodies that have been operated on by doctors whose hands You have covered. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
