NEW YEARS DAY 2009

Good Morning My Dear Brothers and Sisters ... Last night we had a great concert, then went home and watch things get dropped ... The big ball in Times Square, a Strawberry in Harrisburg Pa, and in our town of Mechanicsburg, a wrench. In our area there was a car dropped, and a pickle dropped ... In Hershey Pa., they lifted a Hershey Kiss, all over our area things were dropped or risen to bring in the New Year ... Sort of reminds me a bit about our Lord. How we should drop to our knees in prayer and praise and how He was risen from the grave ... So with that thought in mind I can think of no better way to kick off a new year on this line but by praying and then having communion. Will you please join me?

Dear Father in Heaven, we Praise You and thank You for another year in our lives ... Some Lord say it was a bad year, but they in most part are talking only about money. Father I thank You for a good year, a year when people opened their pocketbooks and came to support Carry The Light Ministries with donations of food that could be passed along to those in need. And Lord I saw that all over the place, people sharing their blessings ... Lord if we just learned to live within our means, and get the greed out of our lives, and learn to share what we have we would not have a thing to be concerned about ... For we lean on Your promise of always, always taking care of our basic needs. We thank You for Your promise of doing it again this year and we will just lean on that again ... All of our needs will be supplied ... and Father in Heaven we really appreciate that we can be a part of supplying those needs to others, for we know that You do supply needs through others. So today I praise You for a few of those people in that chain ... I praise and give thanks for farmers and all their work forces right up to and including stores who sell the food and again I give thanks for those who shared some of theirs so we could help others ... I give thanks to those who make clothes and all in that work force, I give thanks for the things You send direct, the air we breath, the rain, the snow, the sun and all that control the weather.... I give thanks for those in Transportation and all those in that work force, I give thanks today for People Lord, for people who by working together can in America do what needs to be done ... But Lord I am sad because of those who make their living killing babies, and pray that this year it might be stopped ... And now Lord, I give You thanks for the Bread and Juice we are using for our communion today ... And Lord I ask Your blessings on it ... Lord, forgive us of our sins today as we start this year we want to start it clean ... Bless the folks on this line and help us this year get tighter and tighter with You ... Lord, help this line to grow, and help all of us to grow in You and to share our blessings even more .... In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Luke 22: 19 And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying. "This is my body given for you: do this in remembrance of me." (NIV) Take now and partake of the bread, the body of Jesus.

Luke 22: 20 In the same way, after the supper He took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you." (NIV) Please drink now from the cup, the blood of Jesus that has been shed for all of us to clean us from our sins ...
