Friday: Temptations 4

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters ... It is Friday and the day we pray for all those who are out working the Fields of Harvest for our Lord God: (As Ordered) So please pray for the pastors at all churches that preach and teach the true and complete word of God ... Also pray for those Gospel Singers and remember the Jacobs Brothers in your prayers for their concert tonight at the Glenvale Church of God ... Pray for the Couriers, and others singing the gospel ... and pray for Carry The Light Ministries and moreso for our food pantry as we are now having lots of families stop back for more food ... God has been so good...

Temptations 4: Luke 4: 9 The devil led Him to Jerusalem and had Him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "Throw yourself down from here. 10 for it is written "'He will command His angels concerning you to guard you carefully; 11 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'" 12 Jesus answered, "It says: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test'" 13 When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left Him until an opportune time. (NIV)

Folks, we are to never ever test our Lord God according to Luke 4 12, however, there is one place in your Christian walk where you can test the Lord and I invite you to test Him on this, but please, please do it in faith, for if not done in faith ... well ... Malachi 3: 8 Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, How do we rob you?" "In tithes and offerings." 9 "You are under a curse The whole nation of you because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. TEST ME IN THIS," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessings that you will not have room enough for it." (NIV)

So folks, the devil tempted Jesus and Jesus told him we are not to test God ... But as we see, it is ok in one place ... one place. So folks, please follow the word of the Lord, don't test God, except in your sharing of your blessings ... If you are going to jump out of an airplane you better have on a parachute ...

I also want to point out one last thing in my writings on temptations ... From Luke 4: 9 The devil led Him to Jerusalem and had Him stand on the highest point of the temple. (NIV) Even before the devil tried to get Jesus to jump ... the devil led Jesus around ... Why do you think Jesus left this happen? Why did Jesus follow the devil? Folks, Jesus did this just to point out those other things ... Jesus could have snapped His fingers and thrown the devil into the deep blue seas to drown ... He ordered demons out of people, and into pigs, and the pigs to death ...

Folks, please do not test Jesus, and also please do not let the devil lead you, for you do not have the staying power to fight off the temptation. We need to always stand on the word of Jesus to block off Satan, and if we let that down for just a minute, the devil will jump right in on you ... Folks, if you noticed in the Bible it said the devil left Jesus after all of his tempting UNTIL THE OPPORTUNE TIME. Do you think that opportune time might be when the devil attacks us? Do you think that Satan is trying to get to Jesus by attacking His children (us)? Think about that. If we block the devil out of our lives, we block and block and block, does he not go after our family so as to hurt us ... and brothers and sisters, you who have children, or any family at all, does it not hurt you when family members get into problems, or hurt? Think about it ... Don't get caught anytime, anyplace, without Jesus with you. Put Him on board with you right now and keep Him there ...

Dear Father in Heaven. Please come to us, save us, forgive us, and protect us from the devil ... We are weak, but You are strong ... protect us, and Lord, show others, as You have shown me, how to have your blessing multiplied ... over and over again ... Thanks for doing that for us ,Lord, in the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Folks, go forth and have a really blessed weekend ... maybe I will see you at Glenvale tonight, Dolores and I are planning on going to hear the Jacobs Brothers ... Remember to share your blessings in faith ... love ya, dan.
