Good Morning, my dearest brothers and sisters. It is another beautiful day here in Central Pennsylvania. Yes, it is still dark, but I know for a fact that the SON is shining down on all of us ... So my dear brothers and sisters, open up the blinds of your heart and soul and "let the Son shine in."
PRAISE REPORT: This coming out of the Newport Assembly of God: I have copied it and pasted it word for word the way I received it from Robert "Rob" Campbell.
One of our men at Newport Assembly had a saw kick back on him and really messed his hand and fingers. Doctors thought the fingers could not be saved last week. Charlie came up front for prayer on Sunday. Large group of prayer warriors laid hands on him. Monday - Doctors are amazed at the healing of his hand and fingers. All the fingers will be fine. Doctor said it was a miracle. The Doctor up in heaven was in charge on this day. AMEN
Today is Friday and the day we pray for all those who work in the Fields of Harvest for our Lord Jesus. Today as we pray, please pray for some old friends of mine, Ross and Ruth Willard and March for Jesus of PA. This wonderful couple live each day to work for Jesus (as we all should do). Please pray for Jack McKee stage four cancer. Also pray for this line and the word that goes out over it. Also please this weekend right before the National Anthem, take a minute and sing happy birthday to George Beverly Shea who will be 100 years old ... As singer-songwriter Neil Enloe wrote to me yesterday, some work a few hours a week and then go to the super bowl for a ring, some wanting more than one; while Mr. Shea has worked his whole life for the Lord, did not get a ring for the super bowl, but will receive his rewards in heaven. Happy Birthday Mr. Shea, and when we all get to heaven, I want to stand with you in God's big choir. George Beverly Shea is a long time partner with Reverend Billy Graham. And Neil, thanks for pointing these things out to me.
STILL THE SAME: I mention it often, I quote it word for word from the Bible, and today I want to talk to you just a bit about it. Hebrews 13: 8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." (NIV) Brothers and sisters we, you and I, change often, but our Lord Jesus does not. So why do I bring this up so often? I do this so that you will understand that the things in the Bible are not just for "back in the day" but they are for the "here and now" and for "all the tomorrows that God gives us" . When we read about the life of Jesus as He walked this earth, the way he healed, the way he drove out demons, the way he fed thousands, it is still the same today.
I want you to think about this long and hard today. How many times has our good Lord healed you from things that you did not get? Think about it, we might get a cold and we get upset if it lingers on for a few days or a week, but how many germs has He blocked from you? How many times have you been granted healing when you did not even know you were sick? Blocked it ... Our systems get the credit. I ask you, who made our systems in the first place? Come on folks, give glory to God. When you are overwhelmed about things, look at how many things God has taken from you in life so you would not be overwhelmed. Jesus never gives up on us, but how often have we given up on Him? Think about it, how many times have you ever gone to our Lord Jesus in prayer thanking Him for healing you, when you have not been sick? Let me say that again for it sounds strange ... HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU GONE TO OUR LORD JESUS IN PRAYER THANKING HIM FOR HEALING YOU WHEN YOU HAVE NOT BEEN SICK? Yes, we pray a prayer of thanksgiving when we have been healed, or at least we do it sometimes, but how often to we give the glory to the doctor?
When you have had surgery how often have you been asked, "Who is your doctor?" You talk about your doctors, you talk about your medications, you talk about the hospital and if things went well you are just saying how wonderful it was. WHAT ABOUT DOCTOR JESUS? How often have you said in your life, my doctor is Jesus, and he has a good staff who works for Him ... that being our earthly medical people. Folks, we need to put Jesus on top, and we need to tell others of Him and His work. You know that old thing from the words of Jesus ... "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation" - Mark 16: 15 (NIV). Yes, those are the words of Jesus ... so instead of bragging on your earthly doctors, how about bragging on Doctor Jesus who still heals today? Yes, sometimes He will use the doctors, but more often than not you get the direct hand on Jesus, before you were even sick ... and please don't forget that one ...
I just want to mention one more thing on this issue. You remember how Jesus took fish and bread and fed thousands with just a little ... Look at the millions upon millions of people that His hands feed today. Don't tell me it is not Jesus. I know you go to the food store and you push that cart up and down the rows upon rows of food and it is hard to think of it like this ... Thank You Jesus for all these things ... for Jesus has His mighty hands in all of it. When you look at a bottle of milk, think of all the hands who have made it ... but think about who made the cow, yes, our Lord did that. Think about the system in the cow that makes the milk ... who made that?. Who made man who milks the cow, feeds the cow, cleans up after the cow, drives the truck, works the milk, puts it in the bottle, puts it back in another truck, drives that truck to the store, puts it on the shelf? You say man did it ... folks, without God we have nothing and we should never forget it. And do you know that He even feeds those who hate Him, and those who do not believe He lives. Shame on all who don't believe and shame on us who believe in Him, but forget that He is STILL THE SAME ... AMEN.
Dear Father in Heaven, You are still the same and we love You. May we never forget that You are the same, and that You are why we are here. May we walk this day in Your light, to please You, and to work this day and every day to tell others of Your Good News. In Jesus Name, AMEN.
Now go forth, sharing your blessings ... tomorrow I get to share some of mine as I work as a guide at the Car, Truck and Motor Cycle Museum at 161 Museum Dr. Hershey Pa. Yes, a little different but a great place to witness and even get a chance to pray and anoint folks. Work in the fields of Harvest, and the fields are all around you. Share those blessings - see you Monday. Love ya, dan.
