Therefore this is what the Lord says: "If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them.
Good Morning and welcome to day two of Salvation Week. Yes, all week messages of Salvation and how to get to heaven. Prayers also for Andy who is in court. For Troy who at the age of 48 is still doing drugs and alcohol and has been at it since he was 18 (Satan's best tools). For Pat who is in the York Hospital with CDIFF. Also for Vicki who is having her knees injected today. Also please pray for Carry The Light Ministries as we move forward with the food pantry. We have now passed 50 families who are on our Christmas list, with many coming now because of no food in the house. We have also been placed on the "Hot Line" for a place to come for food. This is a 24/7/365 operation. We expect that many calls will be received. Let's get to our Salvation Message and again I would like to open with prayer...
Dear Father in Heaven, You have told me to write about Salvation and the only Salvation of course is through Your Son Jesus. Please, Lord, first today for me, you humble servant. Forgive me, Lord, of my sins and plant this work You have for me on my mind. Keep us going in the name of Jesus. Lord, for the others on this line and wherever the messages get forwarded, open doors for them to receive Jesus, not me, Father, but Your Son Jesus. The one who died for all of us. Lord, thanks for trusting me to work for You. Please, Lord, reach out today for those on our prayer list and heal them. In the mighty, mighty name of Jesus I pray... Open hearts today, Jesus. Amen.
Salvation Week: (Day 2) Jeremiah 15:19 - Therefore this is what the Lord says: "If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them. (NIV)
Each time I dig into the Bible, God opens more of it to me. I know if He were to give it all to us in one shot we could not handle it. I think we are like babies and we are just being spoon fed so to speak, so we can get it all. When I read scriptures like the one God gave me for today, Jeremiah 15:19, I look at it and think this... This is God talking to us all today, and I must take a minute and remind all of us right now this verse from Hebrews:
Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (NIV)
So today, folks, I want you to think about this, we are Jeremiah and God is telling us this... If we repent He will restore us so that we may serve Him. Think about this, God is not restoring us so we can go play pool in some bar and run with the crowds we might have been with in the past. He is restoring us so that we can work for Him. God has told us over and over again that we need to be working the fields of Harvest for it is ripe and the workers are few. So today as we pray to be cleaned of sins we ask God to restore us so that we might work for Him. And working for Him is very important. If you are out trying to work your way into heaven, that cannot be done, but we must repent and be saved and then go to work where He sends us. I think there are times as we work for God we would sooner do it our way and not His way; however, if we are going to get into heaven we must do it His way and not our way. Our way or man's way just will not work. So let us read over this scripture again today, read it together and after we read it, let us go to God again asking to be restored...
Jeremiah 15:19 - Therefore this is what the Lord says: "If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them.
Dear Father in Heaven, I need restored and I know that, and today I want to be restored, I want to repent and I want to work for you. Lord, send me into those fields to tell others about your love and how they need to repent and be saved, but before even that, help me repent of my sins and turn from my sinful ways and to come fully to you. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Your Son, and my Savior, Jesus... Amen.
Tomorrow a look at John The Baptist, the one who said these words... REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NEAR. I say to you today these few words... Repent and be saved, and also go out and share your love of God and share the blessings He has given you... Love ya, Pastor Dan
