Election Day 2010 Docking The Boat 2

God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and He sent a wind over the earth and the waters receded.

Good Election Day Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, and today, let's feature prayers for the election that the best, the pro-life people and most of all, those God wants in office get elected. Your vote counts, remember if you don't vote it is one for the other side, whatever side that is. Please pray before you vote and please consider voting life. Seniors, don't worry about our Social Security, be concerned about those unborn babies being MURDERED! God will for sure take care of our needs.

Genesis 8:1 - God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and He sent a wind over the earth and the waters receded. 2 Now the springs of the deep and the floodgates of the heavens had been closed, and the rain had stopped falling from the sky. 3 The water receded steadily from the earth. At the end of the hundred and fifty days the water had gone down 4 and on the seventh day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. (NIV)

Wow, we docked the boat this morning, let us talk about it, my dear brothers and sisters. First let's look at at the fact that "God remembered Noah". God also started the process to lower the flood waters, or in other words was taking care of Noah and those on the ark with him. Let's put that into today and what God is giving me... Noah was a friend of God, remember Noah had found favor in the God.

I think this would be a good day to reach out to a friend, maybe one you have not talked to in a long time, make it a day to just check on someone, someone maybe from your past, or a family member you have not heard from. And ask them if they need anything. Follow what God is doing for Noah, not just remembering him and his family and the animals, but taking care of them. Call someone today, send an email to a friend you have not heard from, check on someone. Yes, that is what God is giving me from Genesis 8:1.

Now let's see how God would lower the water level of the big flood. First He shut off the rain, and water coming up from the ground. Then God turned on the fan, I mean He started the winds. Folks, dear brothers and sisters, when the rains come now, and we do have flooding along our rivers and streams, does not God end it in that same way? The rain stops and those springs that were just flowing the water slow back down, and then we get wind, and the wind dries it out. After the storm passes by, God is always, hear me on this, God is always FIRST to help clean it up. Even with the big flood where he wiped it all out but those in the ark, He still came back and helped with the cleanup, in fact back then He did the cleanup.

Then on that last verse of today we see that God docked the ark on the Mountains of Ararat. Tomorrow we are going to find out how Noah knew it was safe to lower the door of the ark and let the animals out. Tomorrow we learn something to teach our little ones, and it comes right from the Bible. When is it safe to open the door! I am telling you brothers and sisters, it is all in the Bible, you just pray about any question you have, then look in the Bible and ask God to point you to the answer. Yes, Noah did not just open the door when the boat got docked... come back tomorrow and find out what he did.

Dear Lord, thanks for the message of today, and Lord, on this election day please guide our minds and our hands as we go out and vote. Lord, help us also remember You this day and to remember others as You remembered Noah and his family. Help us also remember our animals and take care of them as Noah took care of his animals. Lord, help us honor You on this day You have trusted to us, by living to please You, by repenting from sins and walking in Your light. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Now go forth, and remember to dock your boat on good land, meaning stay away from bad places, walk in the light of the Lord, not in the darkness of sin, and remember to SHARE YOUR BLESSINGS. Love ya, Pastor Dan.
