Sunday 4/10/16 Blind Drivers

Dear Father in Heaven: All glory and honor to You on this fine wonderful day. I love You and give You honor and glory for forgiving my sins and also all others who ask to have them forgiven. Please help me to repent and also remember to forgive all others. Please help me with the message and please also help me to get it dispatched. In the wonderful Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, happy Sunday to all of you. Yesterday we had snow. Yes, we have now received our onion snow. God is so good and in control, dear brothers and sisters. Let me move right on to the message about Blind Drivers.

Sunday: April 10, 2016: Blind Drivers

Brothers and sisters, one or two car companies are working on cars that drive themselves. No one behind the steering wheel, just get in, tell it where you want to go and the car will get you there. Years ago, growing up in Harrisburg, PA, I remember a company called Kline's Window Blind Cleaning. I think it was owned by "Danny" Kline and his wife but I am not really sure about that. I do remember that on the back doors of the truck it stated this. "Caution, truck driven by a Blind man." Then you would pass the truck and on the side was the ad about the company. It made people look and laugh. Well, we laughed at that, but let me tell you today that I would suspect that well over 50% of all vehicles on the road are driven by a "totally blind" person.

I am not talking about people looking at the phones or talking on them. I am talking about drivers who are blind, 100% blind and still driving cars. Right about now you are thinking this old pastor has really lost it. Well, for my proof, I will go to my Bible. Will you join me?

John 9:1 - As He went along, He saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked Him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents that he was born blind?" 3 "Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life." (skipping to verse 6) 6 Having said this, He spit on the ground, made some mud with His saliva, and put it on the man's eyes. 7 "Go," He told him, "wash in the Pool of Siloam." (Go means Sent) So the man went and washed, and came home seeing. (NIV)

Okay, so Jesus is traveling with His disciples and they came upon this man begging for food or coins, whatever he could get because he was indeed blind, 100% blind from birth. So Jesus bent down, spit in the dirt, made a dry type pack out of the mud and put it over the man's eyes. Let me say that I have anointed people with oil and prayed for their sight to be healed, but I am not going to spit on dirt and place it in the eyes of someone. Think about it, our spit carries germs, that spittle of Jesus is pure and full of HEALING POWER. Can you just shout PRAISE BE TO GOD??? Oh, and yes, God does still heal eyes today so people can see even to read, and I have prayed for a couple of them, including Dolores who had those cataracts removed from her eyes. But I did not spit into dirt and rub it in her eyes. I am not Jesus, I am just a servant of His. When people do receive any healing through my hands or others who pray for people, it is God's doing and all glory and honor belongs to Him. Anyway, what about all these blind people driving cars? You say I know we have a lot of crashes on the road, but if you are stating facts that more than 50% are totally blind and still driving, we would have crashed vehicles all over the place.

Way back when I was about 10, my daddy left me steer the car. I started driving in the country at about 12, and when I was 14 I was working at my brother Leonard's Texaco Service station and driving new cars on the road to clean them up for Frances for Ford. And not only was I not a legal driver, I was also totally blind. Time for more scripture.

John 9:39 - Jesus said, "For judgement I have come into this world so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind." (NIV)

Well, Glory!! Having trouble understanding this? All those who I estimated to be over 50% who are driving blind are those living and driving on our roads in America who are not saved!! They are not
Born Again, therefore they cannot see the kingdom of God or our beloved Jesus. Once they are saved, Jesus opens their eyes to see. Yes, clearly they can all see now. You see, the BLINDNESS I am talking about has nothing to do with us seeing objects along the road, it is Spiritual Blindness. Catching on yet? But then our dear Lord says "The blind will see and those who see will become blind." Now that sounds like double talk but it is not. Here it is, once we are able to see once we become "Born Again" we will see. Those who do not believe will become blind and of course they will remain blind until they accept Jesus as their personal savior.

Now here is one more thing to think about. You are driving blind and you are in an accident that claims your life. You have died while Spiritually Blind, meaning to me you are going to get sent away on Judgement Day meaning you are put on the down elevator. So I ask you again today, do you want to come in out of the dark, come into the light where you are not blind, as you are standing with Jesus, the Light of the world, and you can see clearly?

Yes, I once was blind but now I see. AMEN!!! PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD. And you can see also do away with your blindness, just ask Jesus into your life now, and then tell the others, so they do not need to go around blind. Amen.

P.S. Not even a good German Shepherd seeing-eye dog can get you into heaven. Love ya.

Pastor Dan

As for singing, it is Sunday, pick what you like best and sing it loud.
