Salvation Wednesday 4/27/16 Great Again!

Dear Father in Heaven: I love  You. Thank You for going to the cross for all of us. Thanks for watching over family and friends. Please, Lord, be with Tyler and Dione as they come together in marriage on Saturday. Please, Lord, furnish them with great weather at the wedding as it is outdoors. Thanks, Lord, for sending someone to weed around the Rock of Hope. Thanks, Lord, for the computer tech to retrieve files for us. Please  help me now with the message and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters. Yesterday it was 80, today it is 50. Don't know to keep the long johns or not. Update. Thanks to Gary Crawford of Hope United Methodist Church for taking care of the area around our "Rock  of Hope" yesterday. Your help was/is really appreciated. Bible update. Carry The Light Ministries has now handed out 70 Read-N-Grow Children's Picture Bibles. Also about 80 Bibles have been sent to foreign countries. We have also furnished study Bibles to several people and also passed along a lot of Gideon Bibles that had been removed from motels. The Gideon Bible is a great look-up Bible. ALL HONOR AND GLORY TO GOD!!! Yesterday at the polls we handed out three Read-N-Grow Bibles. Speaking of the polls, I am a tad upset about this election and some of the sayings used and how each and every candidate is going to make this country better. Of course Donald Trump is always saying he can make this country great again. This brings up my subject for our Salvation Wednesday, "Great Again."

Salvation Wednesday: April 27, 2016: "Great Again"

My dearest brothers and sisters, I want you to know that I love America, I really do, and regardless of who is elected come November, I am not leaving America. The Reverend Al Sharpton stated if Donald Trump is elected he is moving out of America. Maybe he will find it like Madalyn Murray O'Hara who started this whole thing about Bibles in Church and sued on behalf of hers on William Murray. As William grew up he did find Jesus and was "Born Again." I heard him speak about his mother once and how they tried to defect to Russia, but Russia would not take her!!

When I look back over my life I can see how in some things America has really turned bad, while in other things, well, some of them have gotten a whole lot better. One things that has improved just since I was born back in 1941 is there are good paying jobs now. My first job after my six years as a "paperboy" was at a gasoline service station, and I was paid 50 cents per hour. Gas was selling for 20 cents per gallon. So you could get 2.5 gallons of gas for an hour's work. Now as is about 2.30 per gallon and the pay is about 10 bucks an hour so you can buy more gas now for an hour worked. (So how else do you think a car guy would figure pay?) Other things that were better were neighbors were not shooting at each other. You could sit out on your porch and even sleep out all night and not get shot. Now I want to be clear about this, since I never walked a mile in my black brother's or sister's shoes, I don't know how they were treated. But I am sure it was not easy back in my early life and especially in some areas of this great nation. As for right now, I think America has gone backwards.

I also want to make this statement. No one politician or even a group of them will make this country "great again." Why? Because over the years we have thrown God out of places, out of schools, out of public buildings and other places. I mean you all have seen it. Tell me this makes sense to any of you. Harrisburg, PA, my hometown, has a lot of crime going on. Recently they received a six figure grant to help study the crime problem. I think the grant was about $150,000.00 and on the same day that was announced "beer week" was started. Nine days of featuring beer and booze of all types. Am I wrong, but when people are pouring the booze down their mouth, does not the crime rate go up? Yes, at the start of that same week, a lady, hit with her car, a mother and young son crossing Walnut Street in Harrisburg. The lady driver was drunk.

So again all these elected officials want to make America "great again" and most think it can be done with more money or higher taxes. Well, all of you elected officials and others who are interested, I will tell you where to start. GET OUT YOUR BIBLES, and then come back to God. Listen to this scripture.

2 Chronicles 7:14 - If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (NIV)

Okay, politicians, start by getting on your knees and bowing down before God and confessing yourself over to Him, then really humble yourselves before God and those who elected you. Then you leaders of America ask those who supported you to join with you in prayer and tell them this. If I or anyone else wants to make this country "great again," I, along with the others (including you and me) must turn back to God. Brothers and sisters, it is the only way and it is clear that is where we need to go. We must start putting God back in America. We must work through Jesus Christ in stopping abortion, stopping all the mass drinking, etc. So my dear brothers and sisters, and all of you politicians out there, and all of you news people, will you join me this day? Right now? In prayer, asking forgiveness first as a person, and then collectively as a nation to seek out God and turn from our wicked ways. Will you start it out with me and then please keep it going in some way spreading this message and scripture? Maybe it will even go viral. Please join me. Our Country needs God and so do each one of us. AMEN.

Dear Father in Heaven: I come to You this day, humbling myself before You and seeking forgiveness of my sins, and I also come before You as a citizen of the United States of America, asking You to forgive our great nation. Please, Lord, today I pray for all of our present leaders and all those running for office who say they want to make things better. I pray that it will weigh heavy on their hearts and souls that they do need to come back home to God. Today, Lord, I want to be one who is humbling myself for our Nation and I want to do all I can do to get God back into our country, America. Amen.

Now go forth, my dear brothers and sisters, and tell people about the only way to make America great again is by coming back to God. Show them and tell them about our scripture for today: 2 Chronicles 7:14. Join me in singing a verse of Onward, Christian Soldiers.

Onward, Christian Soldiers (Sabine Baring-Gould and Arthur S. Sullivan)

Onward, Christian Soldiers, marching as to war,
With the Cross of Jesus going on before.
Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;
Forward into battle: See His banners go!

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the Cross of Jesus going on before.

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the Cross of Jesus going on before.

Monday 4/25/16 IYH

Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Thanks for another really nice day. Just perfect, dear Lord. Father in Heaven, I ask today that You be with Your people as they go out to vote in Pennsylvania and other states. Please, Lord, help us to pick people who line up with and believe in Jesus as their Savior. Please, Lord, help  people pray first and please help them vote life. Please give Dolores and me strength to get to the polls and help us with that vote. Please, Lord, help me now with the message and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray this day. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, I want to update you on just a few things. First, we have a hospital bed to GIVE away. We also have a beautiful church pew (padded) that would go well in a church or a ladies hide away or a man cave. That is also free. We need to move these things out to get to our water system. Also, and this is very hard for me to ask, however, we would appreciate if people, group of people, a church group, etc., would like to adopt a section of the front of our house. You have heard me talk about our "Rock of Hope." We would like people to take care of that small area. Also we have a bank in front of our home. We would like a group to take care of that. WE WILL DONATE TO THE GROUP and pay for any materials used. Call my cell phone if you want to help, 717 991 0754. This Saturday is the only day that we cannot be here to help with removing things. As for the adoption of the Rock and bank, we do not need to be here. Now for the message, IYH.

Monday: April 25, 2016: IYH

Brothers and sisters, on Saturday I wrote about In Your Hands. Today I have shortened it to read IYH. I brought this up for a reason. Seems in this day and age everyone is shortening things up and while names of things are great, people want to shorten them. Let me give you a few examples. There is a big trucking company that has this great name, "Old Dominion," and they are advertising it as "OD." So now we have this trucking company being called "OD" and to me that means "overdose."

Years ago I was a member of this big Assembly of God Church. When it was formed it was called "Christian Life Assembly." Now it is shortened to "CLA." Recently they were talking about the ball parks on Harrisburg City Island. The ball park is named "FNB" Park. So what is that? Another big church in Mechanicsburg is "Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ." They have a big sign out and the church is called "McBIC."

So brothers and sisters, let me just shorten some things up and see if it makes sense.

JCD on the CAC, and HBF still today. So here the words are "Jesus Christ Died on the Cross at Calvary and His Blood Flows still today. So while you are looking at my letters in the subject line you are thinking "In Your Hands," but no, today it means "In Your Heart." So what if I put it like this? With YMYCJIL and IYHYB then you will be saved. So what did I just say? I shortened Romans 10:9/10.

Romans 10:9 - That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, please try and talk so people understand you, and writing is a form of talking. If you are trying to lead someone to the Lord, please, please take your time to do it right. Don't shorten things by using just letters. It makes U look Dumb.

Now go forth working for Jesus and sharing His love with others. Love ya.

Pastor Dan

Dear Father in Heaven. Whatever I am doing please help me to do it to the very best of my ability. Help me do things so others understand it. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Thursday 4/21/16 A Promise from God

Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. All glory and honor to You for another really great day. Your love is felt in all we do, and once we really focus on You it becomes clearer and clearer. Please, Lord, be with the upcoming elections as it is getting nasty. Please help those running really draw on You and not just say it. Lord, please forgive me of any sins or sinful thinking that I have done recently known or unknown to me. Please help me with the daily message and then to get it dispatched. Please bless the John Paul Scott Community Church and their Garden ministry. Please keep Your hand upon our friends Charles and Janet. Also be with Doug as he travels. Thanks again, Lord, for the great test results on Dolores. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, I just want to talk to you a little today about one of God's great promises or covenants that He has made to all of us. This one today is just one of so many. It is about the "Rainbow!"

Thursday: April 21, 2016: A Promise from God

Dear brothers and sisters, when God found favor in Noah and asked him to build the Ark with his family, Noah was old, not a spring chicken so to speak. In fact in the Bible, Genesis 7:6 - Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came upon the earth. (NIV)

And we know how Noah and his wife and his three sons and their wives worked on the Ark. And sometimes today people do not want to work at twenty and think they should all get free college, etc. You did not see Noah telling God that He wanted $15.00 an hour or they would not go to work. They just went to work for the Lord and the Lord furnished everything. But make no mistake, those six had to work. And I really love this. Now remember the age of Noah and his family and when the rain stopped and the waters went down, well, this is what was said to them:

Genesis 9:1 - Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth." (NIV)

Now even at our young age, I don't think I would want to start again with a baby, even if we could. So when we look back in the Bible we find how some people just loved and trusted God and all the others were lost. But God made a covenant with Noah and here it is.

Genesis 9:12-17 - And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set My rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember My covenant between Me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth." 17 So God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant I have established between Me and all life on the earth." (NIV)

Yes, there are still floods, and yes, sadly they are still taking lives. However, God has promised never to wipe out the earth again with water. While I think God would never forget anything, in this case He even set a reminder up for Himself. Even to this day one of the most beautiful things we can see is that rainbow that is set in the sky. Once in awhile we even see a double rainbow. This rainbow sign or colors are used for so many things and I for one get sick and tired of seeing how it is being used for some things that are so wrong. When riding motorcycle for the Lord there was a group called the "Rainbow Warriors" who witnessed for God and told about the rainbow. Some even had the rainbow painted on the cycle. But when I see the gay pride events where the rainbow colors are used, I must wonder, is there any one of them who really knows the REAL TRUTH ABOUT THE RAINBOW?

The other day at an event that was held here in Harrisburg, I saw an American flag with just the stars showing, the rest in rainbow colors and being used in the event on the Capitol steps. While God tells us we need to love everyone, and I feel I do, I still do not believe we should use the Covenant of God, the Rainbow, for such things.

As I have told all of you before, I believe in The Word of God as recorded in our Bibles from the beginning to the end. To me, this would be like if I would take my Bible, close it and pitch it across the room causing all the pages to rip out. I have a Bible laying on my desk that is worn out and falling apart from use; but the Word in it goes on forever. I just can't bring myself to throw it out. It was the first Bible that I really started to use and they become like a good friend as you underline things and even write some notes in them. So the next time you see the "Rainbow" in the sky you can say to yourself or others, "THERE IS A SIGN FROM GOD." Amen.

Now go forth and share God's love and this covenant with others. And know that God loves you. Love ya.

Salvation Wednesday 4/20/16 Praise God!!!

Praise God, Praise God, Praise God!

Dear Father in Heaven: I love You and I want to give You all honor and glory right now for holding onto Dolores as she went through her colon test today. All Glory and Honor is Yours as she has no cancer, no polyps. Thanking You for watching over this line, and thank You for helping me with messages. Thanks for rolling away stones for each of us this day. And Lord, thanks for another really beautiful day. Oh, how I love You. It is in the wonderful mighty name of Jesus I pray and give thanks. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, as you can see I am really excited about the results of that colon test Dolores had to go through. And on this our Salvation Wednesday I had a chance to witness to people as I wanted for  her. Even gong back the hall to sit in with  her for the doctor's report, I was calling out, I am coming and you are still number two in my life. I was saying it over and over again, and then someone asked me, "who is number one" and of course I said "Jesus." Of course I then got to witness to a few nurses, who were very busy. Then in came the doctor, and the first thing he said was "there is no cancer." With that I called out, thank You, Jesus, and then we talked about God for awhile. He spent time going over the results, and then sat and talked about God. Folks, if you are not able to witness to someone each day, you just ain't trying.

With that, let me get to a short message, for I must get in and get my legs up. Please start praying for the elections. And please consider voting life.

Salvation Wednesday: April 20, 2016: Praise God!!!

Psalm 78:4 - We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the Wonders He has done. (NIV)

As you can see here we are to pass down from generation to generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord. We are to talk about His power and the Wonders He has done.

So where does one start when telling about the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord? Well, how about just having the air we breathe, or how about this beautiful day, or how about the rainy days, how about all the food we have, how about the fact we are on the "green side of the grass?" I could go on and on, so let me get to some of the most important ones.

Number one would be The Cross, yes, The Cross upon which Jesus died, for that is what our Salvation is all about. How about how He took on the sins of the world and had removed all of our yesterdays as far as sin is concerned. In other words your good past is still there, but the bad stuff is gone. And don't let others cast up your bad past. Jesus took it away, if you indeed are saved.

Let me go way back to the beginning when God first made Adam. Remember God picked up dirt from the ground and formed Adam. And dear brothers, this is why when someone tells me I have ring around the collar I just tell them it is because I came from dirt and some is rubbing off on my shirt. Laugh on that one, please. But think of His Powers right from the beginning. He made it all!!! And yes, someday He will send Jesus back and end it all again. So the best place to start witnessing just might be within your very own family. Dolores and I as parents above all else want to feel all of our children are indeed "Born Again" before we are called home. Someone please say Amen.

Now most days Dolores will come out and help me spell check this. She is resting and I am not going to wake her. Please understand I don't spell well.

Now go forth praising God, singing your own tune, and sharing Jesus with others. Love ya.

Tuesday 4/19/16 Caring and Sharing

Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. What a blessed day You have given to me. Oh, Lord, it was all so beautiful I just cannot wait to tell others. Thanks, Lord, that the people in Harrisburg escaped from the burning home without injury, and praise You, Lord, it was not my classmate's home. Please keep Your loving arms around Pat as she works hard to help others by growing food for them. Lord, bless her garden of love as it has never been blessed before. Lord, thanks for supplying Bibles for us, and for places to give them out. And Lord, thank You for my doctor who loves You above all else. Please, Lord, watch over Dolores as she prepares for a colon test tomorrow afternoon. I pray for a good test result. Please help me now with the message and please help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Wonderful Name, I pray. Amen.

Tuesday: April 19, 2016: Caring and Sharing

Dear brothers and sisters, I was up very early today to head out to my family doctors. While getting ready at 4:30 AM a fire was shown in uptown Harrisburg, PA, on North 2nd Street. I prayed and later left for my doctor. I must tell you about this. My doctor, Dr. Lawrence G. Cox, DO, is a "Born Again," washed-in-the-blood believer who is not afraid to show it and talk about it. I arrived about 8:45 AM for my 9:15 AM appointment and loaded four "Read-N-Grow" Bibles and eight new Gideons' Bibles that were placed in our hands after being removed for some reason from a motel.

Before I even headed for the door I gave away one Read-N-Grow Bible on the parking lot. Once inside, I checked in and after gong to the old man's room (once I called it the little boys' room, but this little boy got old) ... anyway, I checked in and down the hall to be placed in a room for whatever I was to have done. The nurse checked me in and placed me in the room checking blood pressure and all the things nurses do. While in there I lined up the Bibles on the exam table waiting for my doctor. In walked an intern, and this dear doctor-in-training asked me all kinds of questions, and as I talked to her, and I never saw her before, we discussed Jesus, or I did. Then Doc Cox came in and I told him I had Bibles. He said I will be right back and took two of the Read-N-Grow Bibles to the rooms on each side of mine where I could hear children. Meantime I am getting ready to have both knees injected. Another nurse brought in the shots, and Dr. Cox injected one knee showing the intern how to do this and then on my other knee, he showed her what to do. I prayed a little harder!! She did fine. She was still wondering about the Bibles as Doc Cox had this second nurse put the Gideons' Bible in all of his exam rooms and the waiting room. Stay with me, it gets better. After the check-up was done, I grabbed my doctor's hand to pray with him and he told his intern, "Grab Pastor Dan's other hand," and she did, and I go to prayer over both of them. I don't know if this new intern is "Born Again" now, but in a few weeks under Doc Cox's care, she will be. Hang on, it gets better yet. Now out to get blood drawn and take a urine test. (I studied for that test the night before and nailed it.) After which, Doc said, come in and get breakfast. I was invited in the back room area where there was a feast like you would not believe. I had a big, and I mean big piece of veggie quiche, and I might be wrong on some spellings today. I also had real fruit cocktail and a big glass of orange juice. From there I went to check out and then out to my car for more Bibles. Back inside I go and gave them all away. Total, eight Read-N-Grow children's Bibles and eight used Gideon Bibles handed out in the name of the Lord. All honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. It  was eleven-thirty when I called Dolores and told her what I had to eat and I was concerned for she was prepping for that test an drinking the ugly-tasting stuff.

I got home safely and after eating, again, I checked in on my loving classmate who lives on Second Street. We updated each other about our health and she thanked me for our concern about her. My classmate is Patricia (Wells) Pierce. This dear lady has a really green thumb, meaning she has the "Touch of God" in her garden. Patricia is also "Born Again" and she is my classmate and I will not tell you her age, but I will be 75 in a couple of weeks. (See, I would not tell a lady's age.) While Pat still lives on Second Street in Harrisburg, she works one of those gardens to help the needy out off of Elmerton Ave. near the Pennsylvania Game Commission Building. It has been years since I was out that way and I might have my street names mixed up. But it is what is still going on.

My classmate is still working to help feed the poor!! We talked about the price of fresh food in the food stores and it is awful and some folks just cannot eat fresh things at food store prices. Here are two scriptures that fit both of these people. Read over them for a minute.

Psalm 65:9 - You care for the land and water it; You enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain. (NIV)

Proverbs 22:9 - A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor. (NIV)

In Psalm 65:9, I can picture Pat taking care of the land, watering it, and enriching it. As for the streams of God, that water is under the land, placed there when God created the Heavens and the earth for man (and ladies) to use and as for that grain, how about corn, tomatoes, squash, and all those good things in a fresh garden? And by this, she is feeding the body and soul.

In Proverbs 22:9, I can picture Doc Cox, for he is a generous man, and he is being blessed by God with a really big practice. He works hard, and we find him feeding body while working with God to be a doctor and feeding the soul with prayer and Bibles.

For me, God has really blessed me for I have both of them as my "brother and sister in Christ" and brothers and sisters, that is what it is all about. Please take time to talk to God, be caring to each other and share with others, and love each other. As for the scriptures, they both relate to both my brother and sister. And to bring out a point, Doc Cox and Patricia are a brother to each, and to my knowledge have never met. They are indeed joined by the "Blood of Jesus" shed on The Cross. Once again, all honor and glory to God, none for me, or Patricia or Doc Cox.

I love you, Doctor Cox, and I love you, Patricia. Your brother in Christ.

Please go forth now and share your love with others. Love ya.

Sunday 4/17/16 Great Disasters

Dear Father in Heaven: What a beautiful, wonderful day You have given to us. How I love You and give You thanks for this day. Lord, church was great this morning and everything just went so well this day. Please, Lord, touch the eyes of our neighbor and heal them, please, before he goes blind. Lord, protect that couple who needs Your touch right now. Lord, please be with the Zang family in the passing of Tony. Lord, sometimes it is hard to understand, however, we know and trust in You and in all things You do for us. Lord, please help me now with the message, and please help me to get it dispatched. And Lord, thanks for sending help for our computers. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Hi, brothers and sisters. Pastor Tony Zang's son Tony was killed in a fall at his work. The couple that needs prayers, I have withheld their names. And Jarvis is the man needing prayers for his vision. Just a few updates. I have been having really severe computer problems, and after a tip that Wanda Crockett gave me, I contacted my cable company. I found out they will take care of all computers in our home for $6.95 a month. Our cable company is Verizon. Dolores and I also want to put out a call for a little help. We are looking for some people to take over some outside work. Example, you have heard me talk about our "Rock of Hope." We need someone to just take care of that small plot. Maybe once a month check on it and edge it after the first clean-up. Also maybe a group to look after the bank in front of the house. Maybe another to look after the rest of the front of the house. Neighbors are helping with some of the mowing and I can still ride my tractor mower. If you can help, please let me know by calling me at 717 991 0754.

Today I want to talk to you about some great disasters. So let me get started.

Sunday: April 1, 2016: Great Disasters

If you have been watching the news this past week and weekend, you would have read about some very major earthquakes in Japan and other areas. Hundreds have been killed and those big tidal waves that can come ashore and kill thousands of people could happen again. Over the years there have been great disasters right here in America. The earthquake years ago in California during the World Series. Also there was the great flood at Johnstown, PA, and the one in New Orleans a few years ago that got blamed on President George Bush. Also right here in Central Pennsylvania we had great floods of 1936, 1972, also 1975. It seems like the great disasters don't need to be real big, if they would involve us, meaning if it didn't happen to you or your family you don't think much about it. I remember a twister that hit near Campbell, PA, a few years ago, in fact, that one led to my meeting one really good friend, Tom Mozer, whom I married. No, I married Tom to Diane, and they made and make a great couple. But I want to tell you right now of the Greatest Disaster to this date. Are you ready for this?

Genesis 6:5 - The Lord saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was evil all the time.  6 The Lord was grieved that He had made man (meaning mankind) on the earth, and His heart was filled with pain. 7 So the Lord said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth -- men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air -- for I am grieved that I have made them. 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. 9 This is the account of Noah.

Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God. 10 Noah had three sons; Shem, Ham, and Japheth. 11 Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah, "I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth." (NIV)

Dear brothers and sisters, the greatest disaster of all times was indeed the great flood when God caused it to rain for forty days and forty nights. I want you to think mostly right now of the people. Noah had found grace in the eyes of the Lord, so the Lord commanded Noah, along with his three sons and their wives, to build an ark. And we have the advantage of knowing the complete story of this Great Disaster and that is what it really was. A GREAT DISASTER, and the sad part about this Disaster, it did not really need to happen. It happened because of great sin among all people. I want you to think of this event. Millions upon millions of people died, only eight were saved. Think about it, brothers and sisters. ONLY EIGHT PEOPLE WERE SAVED out of millions.

Now comes my question for all of you today, and no, we are not going to have another great flood. More on that later this week. But if a disaster occurred today and you were taken, would you perish and burn or would you go straight to heaven? If an earthquake hit today in your area and your home fell in, where would your soul go, Heaven or Hell? The other day, a couple driving their car, one came the other direction, lost control, went airborne and landed on the other car. One lady lost her life. Was she saved? I pray she was. Do you see where I am coming from? Please don't wait for a disaster to occur in your life. Please give it over to God right now. Again I am going to close with a sinners' prayer. I can't pray it for you, only lead you. Please join me now.

Dear Father in Heaven: If You should come right now, I want to be with You. I confess right now that I am a sinner and I ask that You clear me of my sins and You wash me white as snow with the Blood of Jesus. I believe You died on the cross to save me from my sins  and I believe that You were risen from the dead. I have faith in that and I confess it with my mouth and believe it in my heart. Save me, Jesus, save me. I love You, Jesus, and I pray in Your wonderful Name to Your Father and our Father in Heaven. Amen.

Now go forth and know you are saved, that you are indeed "Born Again" and share the Word of Jesus with others. And yes, here is a song we sing often. Love ya.

Thursday 4/14/16 Lost and Found

Dear Father in Heaven: Praise You, Father, for another beautiful day. Thanks for watching over us during the night. Thanks for trusting us to work for You. Please help Sonlife Broadcasting  reach their goal to keep the programs on the air around the world. Please help each of us as we try and work our best for You. Please, Lord, help Dolores and me deal better with our pain levels. Now, Lord, please bless me with a message and also to get that message dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, it is a beautiful day. The Son is always shining and today the sun is also shining. Enjoy both of them. Remember that one is always shining. Yesterday I missed, and I hate it when I miss on Salvation Wednesday. However, we had appointments and until we were done, I was also. Too much hanging time with my legs and when I do that they swell up. With that said, let me move on to the message of today, "Lost and Found."

Thursday: April 14, 2016: Lost and Found

Brothers and sisters, how many of you remember going someplace where there is a lost and found box? From when I started into first grade in Harrisburg, PA, back in the days when the Dead Sea was still just sick, I remember having lost and found boxes. Then came my days working with school buses at Central Dauphin School District. Each bus had a lost and found box in them. Kids lost all sorts of things, gloves, mittens, umbrellas, their lunches. Let me tell you right now, better for the bus driver when a child lost their lunch on the way to school than on the way home. If a lost lunch was found on the bus in the morning, we tried to get it back to the school before lunch. If the child lost their lunch on the way home from school, sometimes it went on the driver or another child. Sometimes in life things that get lost get messy.

Luke 15:8 - "Suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.' 10 In the same way, I tell you there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." (NIV)

I can remember walking to Sunday School one time about 68 years ago with two dimes, one for Sunday School and one to purchase a fountain drink at the drug store. On the way to Sunday School I dropped one of the dimes and it rolled down a storm sewer. I looked over and thought to myself, God's dime just went down the drain!!!

With that aid, I can't help but think how often things like that still happen. Maybe you even put a tithe back, and before you got to use it for God, something else came up, maybe even an emergency, and you used God's money to fix it. He will understand, you're thinking, or will He?

Let me tell you this, if you give to God first, your money will go further, if you pay bills first there is never any left over for God. But let me get to the real part about this. It is about Salvation and the lost and found related to just that. I was lost, really lost, and now I am found! I don't care how lost you are today or why you are lost. And if you stay lost things really can get messy, as in my statement above.

Jesus came to this earth some two thousand plus years ago and died on The Cross, His Cross, and gave us a way to be found. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE LOST FOR ONE MORE MINUTE. On your way to The Cross, you might slip and fall, you might tumble and roll backwards, but we have a loving Savior who will help you back up. I am example of that!! I know many others who have had major struggles walking toward The Cross or some even after finding Jesus and His Cross.

Even after you are saved, after you have come to Jesus, some days will still be hard. God did not promise us a perfect life here on earth. What He promised us is a Perfect Home with Him if we come to Him. In those lost and found boxes at the end of a year we could not match up a pair of gloves or mittens, but if you did not mind the fact the all looked different, you could make some great sets of gloves. You know with people no two of us are exactly alike, until we come to Jesus, then even though we don't look alike we have this one thing about us the same. We have all been Washed in The Same Blood, that being the Blood of Jesus shed for all of us on The Cross. Once we are saved, we become brothers and sisters, real brothers and sisters in Christ.

If you are like Dolores and me, the greatest gift that we could receive at our age is just knowing that our family and friends truly love Jesus and that they are "Born Again" and if I were to ask all of you this today, do you have that same concern for your family, how would you answer me? Yes, you an let me know as it is always nice to hear from you.

Now go forth serving our Lord Jesus, and if you are lost and you want Him, He will find you. Remember, Jesus is not lost. Love ya.

I Will Serve Thee (Bill and Gloria Gaither)

I will serve Thee because I love Thee;
You have given life to me.
I was nothing before You found me;
You have given life to me.

Heartaches, broken pieces,
Ruined lives are why You died on Calvary.
Your touch was what I longed for;
You have given life to me.

Tuesday 4/12/16 "Mother" Brown

Dear Father in Heaven: Praise You, Lord, for this beautiful day and praise You for watching over us. I love You, Lord, and I appreciate the fact that You watch over us and all of our families. I appreciate that You trust me to write on this line and I pray that I always honor You in all that I do. Lord, I could not do one thing, nor would I want to anymore without holding Your hand. Please, Lord, help me with this message today, and please, Lord, may the words that this lady spoke years ago keep on witnessing to others as it has done for me over the years. Please then help  me to dispatch the message. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Greetings, brothers and sisters. What a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. If you are like me, it seems the older I get the more I look back. Today I want to tell you about a beautiful Christian lady who made a big impression on me and also the others singing with Carry The Light years ago.

Tuesday: April 12, 2014: "Mother" Brown

We met this lady, Evangelist Jane (Mother) Brown back about 1994 or 1995 while singing at Dauphin Manor. The "Retirement/Nursing" home is located on Paxton Street just outside of Harrisburg, PA. They, at the time, had a very large activity room and a stage up front. The very first time we sang there, we noticed this lady in the front row seated in a wheelchair. The more we sang, and the more of those fast jumping songs like "The Saints" and "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder" I would notice how she would be lifting her arms to the Lord in Praise. You could see Jesus in her beautiful but worn face. After the concert I went down and talked to her. She spoke very well, and I told her how I could see Jesus on her face. It was then she told me that she was a life-long evangelist and had been all over the world preaching, teaching and telling others about Jesus and needing to be "Born Again." Here is one of her favorite scriptures.

Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; And ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (King James Version)

"Mother" Brown, as I always called her, was born in 1897. She was a retired ordained minister. We sang at the Dauphin Manor about once every two months back in those days, most always on a Saturday in the afternoon. After a few concerts we learned to love this lady so much if she was not there we would ask about her and ask the staff to please bring her to the concert. She loved the Lord's music (I am sure it was not our voices back then.) What was happening was she was witnessing to me, more than I was to her. Over the years we became friends. Evangelist Jane Brown told me about writing a book. On May 16, 1997, we sang at Dauphin Manor and she gave me a signed copy of her book "I AM A WITNESS." It was a great birthday gift for me, signed on my 56th year. In December of that same year we were honored by her family to sing at her 100th birthday party. I want to bring this out. Even at this age, this retired minister, retired evangelist, was still working daily for Jesus. On the way in to set up our equipment, I was stopped and told by the Chaplain of Dauphin Manor, an ordained United Methodist minister, that we could not do an altar call at her party, for we might offend someone. WELL, GLORY. You should have been at her party. Kids from her home church came and danced and sang. The church choir was there. One of her pastors described her as "Mother Theresa in the African-American form." I mean God's music was really jumping and each person who talked not only talked about "Mother" Brown but also witnessed to all there about Jesus. Then it was our turn. Well, here we were and me a "white" guy singing for the Lord, and no match at all for all those who just sang. So we did "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder" and it was well received, and yes, I did the call for Salvation, for I promised God when we went singing I would always do that.

Evangelist Mother Jane Brown went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, May 5, 2001, at the age of 103 years young. Our singing group went to her service at her church. This beautiful lady, with a smile that said "Jesus is in my heart," was a witness to me and thousands and thousands and thousands of others around the world. She entered into rest near her home of Bressler, PA. Here is the scripture that was used in her service.

Revelation 21:4 - And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

And while people were sad to see her leave this earth, there was joy in that church that day for Evangelist "Mother" Jane Brown was at home with her beloved Jesus. In the Name of Jesus, she had touched blind eyes and restored sight to them.

I am a better person for having known and been witnessed to by "Mother" Brown, and yes, when the trumpet sounds for me, I will indeed look for her at the feet of Jesus.

If any of you remember her, please send me a little note.

You say you are a Christian!!! Does your face witness for Jesus? You can witness for Jesus at any age and at any place.

Now brothers and sisters, go forth being a witness for Jesus. Love ya.

Pastor Dan

When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound
And time shall be no more,
And the morning breaks eternal, bright, and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.

When the roll is called up yonder,
when the roll is called up yonder,
when the roll is called up yonder,
when the roll is called up yonder I'll be there.

Monday 4/11/16 Born Once

Dear Father in Heaven: All praise, honor and glory today for a brand-new great grandson. Thanks to You we have a healthy new baby in our family and it is wonderful and it comes, Lord, at a time when people are lining up on the Capitol steps again talking about more abortions. Thanks for watching over this line and all families and friends who use it. Please keep watch over "Aaron Roy" and we pray He will grow up and become born again. Thanks for helping us today as You helped us roll more rocks away. Please help me now with the daily message and also please help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, I received a call a few hours back from our son Glenn informing us that we had another great grandson. PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD. A fast count right now and I think Dolores and I now have ten great grandchildren. We are so blessed! This happening on a day when Pennsylvania's Governor is talking about vetoing a bill that will change some of the abortion laws. Planned Parenthood, number one killer of babies in the United States of America, is joining the protest. Abortion, the killing of God's children in the womb, needs STOPPED, Period!! Let me get to the message.

Monday: April 11, 2016: Born Once

John 3:3-8 New International Version (NIV)

3 Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again."

Jesus is talking with Nicodemus, who was a member of the Jewish council. Nicodemus said, "we know you are a teacher and come from God. You could not do the miraculous things You do if not from God." And Jesus is telling him that you must be "Born Again" to see the Kingdom of God.

4 "How can someone be born when they are old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother's womb to be born!"

So Nicodemus asked about being Born Again. Surely you can't get back inside your mother? Now Jesus explains what must be done.

5 Jesus answered, "Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.'"

Today in our family we had that first birth or what I will call Born Once. Our granddaughter who is flesh, gave birth to our great-grandson who is flesh. This miracle of birth, our granddaughter Brittany's second child, is a miracle in itself. For those of you who have been on this line for years and years will remember how we prayed and prayed for Brittany after a major car accident where she had died and was restarted on the accident scene and was in a coma for a long time. God healed her and now she is bearing fruit for the family of God. Brittany also sang with Carry The Light once in awhile. Now Jesus is talking about Spirit giving birth to spirit. This Spirit, The Holy Spirit, or Holy Ghost as I used so often, stands ready for you to accept Jesus and then by the power of the Holy Spirit you can become "Born Again" or born twice.

8 "The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

The Holy Spirit is Sovereign. He works as He pleases in His renewal of the human heart (Bible Footnote used here.) You can hear its sound, but unless we invite it into our hearts it will just be coming and going as He, the Holy Ghost pleases. Once we are "Born Again" and we have the Holy Ghost on board we have assignments to carry out for our Lord Jesus. So while we who are "Born Again" have the same Spirit on board,, as a group we go different directions, so that all might get the "Good News" about being Born Again out to all corners of the earth. Amen.

So brothers and sisters, today you might ask me, why write this message today and not when another great-grandchild was born? Because today God gave me this message. So brothers and sisters, how were you blessed today? Share it once in awhile.

Now go forth sharing the love of Jesus, and know that He loves you, and I love ya.

Pastor Dan

And while this baby was just born today, I want you to know that -----------

He's Still Workin' On Me (Joel Hemphill)

He's still workin' on me to make me what I ought to be;
It took Him just a week to make the moon and stars,
the sun and the earth, and Jupiter and Mars.
How loving and patient He must be!
He's still workin' on me.

He's still workin' on me to make me what I ought to be;
It took Him just a week to make the moon and stars,
the sun and the earth, and Jupiter and Mars.
How loving and patient He must be!
He's still workin' on me.

Sunday 4/10/16 Blind Drivers

Dear Father in Heaven: All glory and honor to You on this fine wonderful day. I love You and give You honor and glory for forgiving my sins and also all others who ask to have them forgiven. Please help me to repent and also remember to forgive all others. Please help me with the message and please also help me to get it dispatched. In the wonderful Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, happy Sunday to all of you. Yesterday we had snow. Yes, we have now received our onion snow. God is so good and in control, dear brothers and sisters. Let me move right on to the message about Blind Drivers.

Sunday: April 10, 2016: Blind Drivers

Brothers and sisters, one or two car companies are working on cars that drive themselves. No one behind the steering wheel, just get in, tell it where you want to go and the car will get you there. Years ago, growing up in Harrisburg, PA, I remember a company called Kline's Window Blind Cleaning. I think it was owned by "Danny" Kline and his wife but I am not really sure about that. I do remember that on the back doors of the truck it stated this. "Caution, truck driven by a Blind man." Then you would pass the truck and on the side was the ad about the company. It made people look and laugh. Well, we laughed at that, but let me tell you today that I would suspect that well over 50% of all vehicles on the road are driven by a "totally blind" person.

I am not talking about people looking at the phones or talking on them. I am talking about drivers who are blind, 100% blind and still driving cars. Right about now you are thinking this old pastor has really lost it. Well, for my proof, I will go to my Bible. Will you join me?

John 9:1 - As He went along, He saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked Him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents that he was born blind?" 3 "Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life." (skipping to verse 6) 6 Having said this, He spit on the ground, made some mud with His saliva, and put it on the man's eyes. 7 "Go," He told him, "wash in the Pool of Siloam." (Go means Sent) So the man went and washed, and came home seeing. (NIV)

Okay, so Jesus is traveling with His disciples and they came upon this man begging for food or coins, whatever he could get because he was indeed blind, 100% blind from birth. So Jesus bent down, spit in the dirt, made a dry type pack out of the mud and put it over the man's eyes. Let me say that I have anointed people with oil and prayed for their sight to be healed, but I am not going to spit on dirt and place it in the eyes of someone. Think about it, our spit carries germs, that spittle of Jesus is pure and full of HEALING POWER. Can you just shout PRAISE BE TO GOD??? Oh, and yes, God does still heal eyes today so people can see even to read, and I have prayed for a couple of them, including Dolores who had those cataracts removed from her eyes. But I did not spit into dirt and rub it in her eyes. I am not Jesus, I am just a servant of His. When people do receive any healing through my hands or others who pray for people, it is God's doing and all glory and honor belongs to Him. Anyway, what about all these blind people driving cars? You say I know we have a lot of crashes on the road, but if you are stating facts that more than 50% are totally blind and still driving, we would have crashed vehicles all over the place.

Way back when I was about 10, my daddy left me steer the car. I started driving in the country at about 12, and when I was 14 I was working at my brother Leonard's Texaco Service station and driving new cars on the road to clean them up for Frances for Ford. And not only was I not a legal driver, I was also totally blind. Time for more scripture.

John 9:39 - Jesus said, "For judgement I have come into this world so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind." (NIV)

Well, Glory!! Having trouble understanding this? All those who I estimated to be over 50% who are driving blind are those living and driving on our roads in America who are not saved!! They are not
Born Again, therefore they cannot see the kingdom of God or our beloved Jesus. Once they are saved, Jesus opens their eyes to see. Yes, clearly they can all see now. You see, the BLINDNESS I am talking about has nothing to do with us seeing objects along the road, it is Spiritual Blindness. Catching on yet? But then our dear Lord says "The blind will see and those who see will become blind." Now that sounds like double talk but it is not. Here it is, once we are able to see once we become "Born Again" we will see. Those who do not believe will become blind and of course they will remain blind until they accept Jesus as their personal savior.

Now here is one more thing to think about. You are driving blind and you are in an accident that claims your life. You have died while Spiritually Blind, meaning to me you are going to get sent away on Judgement Day meaning you are put on the down elevator. So I ask you again today, do you want to come in out of the dark, come into the light where you are not blind, as you are standing with Jesus, the Light of the world, and you can see clearly?

Yes, I once was blind but now I see. AMEN!!! PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD. And you can see also do away with your blindness, just ask Jesus into your life now, and then tell the others, so they do not need to go around blind. Amen.

P.S. Not even a good German Shepherd seeing-eye dog can get you into heaven. Love ya.

Pastor Dan

As for singing, it is Sunday, pick what you like best and sing it loud.

Friday 4/8/16 Halfway Houses

Dear Father in Heaven: Praise You, Lord God, for all things this day. Praise You for the food, clothes, water, and the air we breathe each day. Lord, each day You supply our basic needs and so much more and so often we just do not give You praise and honor for it. Today, Lord, I want to praise You and lift You and give You thanks for forgiving my sins and the sins of all who just come to You and ask. Please help me with the message and please also help me to get it dispatched. And Dear Father, thank You for the Bibles that just now arrived at our garage while I was starting this writing. Please help us to get them into the hands of others so they too might enjoy these picture Bibles for Your children. Please also place Your healing hands upon Bob Murphy and heal those burns. In Jesus' Name, I give thanks and also place my prayers. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, a very light dusting of snow this morning. Could be more tomorrow. No problem, GOD is still in control. Please pray for Bob Murphy who has some bad burns. Bob was trying to throw out hot grease and the wind caught it and blew it back on him. Here is a tip, maybe it will help someone. Put hot grease in a can and let it set up. Then put it in the trash. Okay, let me get to the message.

Friday: April 8, 2016: Halfway Houses

Dear brothers and sisters, I want to talk to you today about some halfway houses, and don't get me wrong here, these places are really needed. I just want to name a few that I can think of offhand and some of you really don't think of as a Halfway House.

Hospitals: You go to the hospital to have a major surgery like a knee replacement. Oftentimes you are sent from the hospital where the surgery was done to a rehab hospital where you are worked on before you are sent to your house of residence here on earth. It could also be for numbers of different problems. For this message, I will call the rehab hospital a Halfway House.

Hospitals: Hospitals that work with those who have addictions of one type or another, and after a period of time in that hospital, maybe to just have the person get clean of the addiction, they are sent to a Halfway House to live while trying to work on getting back to work.

Prisons: There are times when some prisoners, depending on the crime of course, are sent to live in a Halfway House. These men and/or women might finish out their sentence there as they try and get back into society and get  job and be a productive person.

Now I could go on and labor on the point, but I think you get it. The people in all of these Halfway Houses do need our constant prayers.

Today I want to be sure you know that there is NO HALFWAY HOUSE between our home here on earth and our home in heaven. We do have a choice. We can choose Heaven or Hell and that is it!!! Here is one scripture that supports this.

1 Corinthians 1:50-58 New International Version (NIV)

50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed -- 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."

55 "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?"

56  The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Here is another scripture that supports this view.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 New International Version (NIV)

Believers Who Have Died

13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him. 15 According to the Lord's word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Dear brothers and sisters, as you can plainly see in the scriptures, we also must be a "Believer" and brothers and sisters, not part-time believer but a full-time believer. Indeed, if you are not a full-time believer, then you must be a fool-time believer. Does that mean that after we are "Born Again" we are never going to sin? No, we will mess up from time to time but we must repent.

One day I had a person ask me this question. Are you one of those "Born Again" Christians? They followed that up with, I am a Christian, but not one of those "Born Again" types. You know what I said to him, right? If you ain't "Born Again" you ain't a Christian. Someone should shout AMEN. There is NO Halfway House between our earthly tent and heaven. Express up or Express down, PERIOD!!!

Right now all those trying trying to get elected to the office of president are saying they are Christians. Please, fellow believers, pray for this election, all of the elections, for God's will to be done. Please pray.

Now please go forth serving and loving Jesus and singing this old tune. Love ya.

Pastor Dan

Salvation Wednesday 4/6/16 The Thief

Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me of my sins. Thanks for helping us yesterday and we would appreciate help in all we do today. I want to walk each step of life with You, Lord. Please, Lord, give us all wisdom as we plan for a new president. Lord, lay upon our hearts which person will most likely work with You. Open to us which one has the most values of loving You. Help us to have a new president who puts value on life, life of the unborn child, life of the baby whose home is in the womb of a woman. Lord God, I pray for the message today and that you would open my mind to write it the way You want it done and then to open computers to dispatch the message and for it also to be received and then open minds and hearts of the readers. Thanks, Lord, all  honor and glory to You for the message as I give thanks and pray in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Hello, brothers and sisters. Today it feels more like North Pole Alaska here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. I have made God a promise that if He gets me through the cold I will not complain about the heat. Today I want to talk to you about just how fast in life things can change. So let me get to the message of today.

Salvation Wednesday: April 6, 2016: The Thief

1 Thessalonians 5:1/2 Now brothers; about times and dates we do not need to write for you 2 for you know very well that the day of The Lord will come like a thief in the night. (NIV)

Recently there have been some very heavy storms with high winds. I do not know which state this happened in, but please picture this. You are driving your big SUV and it is a big one called BMW. You are driving along in this storm talking to the one with you when a tree falls and comes right across the roof above the driver's and front passenger seat and kills you and your passenger. That tree came like a "Thief in the Night." In today's obituaries a 27-year old man "passed away suddenly in the early morning of April 3rd after a traffic accident." A few years back a lady was sitting in her car in traffic and traffic was stopped under a bridge. BANG, a beam of the bridge fell onto her car and she died instantly.

Brothers and sisters, I don't know if they went to heaven or to hell, for I did not know their hearts or if they were "Born Again" and I also am not the judge, Jesus is! However, with examples like this, we all know we need to be ready. Our Lord Jesus, when He returns, is coming back like a thief in the night. You are NOT going to get this warning, "ready or not, here I come." No, we had that warning when we played "hide and go seek" when we were kids. We have had many warnings already, if you go to church, you should have heard these warnings from your pastor. One of two things might have happened if you did not hear it in church. Either you were sleeping or your preacher isn't preaching it.  I did hear once about the ambulance crew who responded to a man who had passed out in church. They carried out five men before they got the one who had passed out. (The others were sleeping.) Recently in Lancaster, PA, a thief had been entering homes during the night while people were asleep and snatching up money, credit cards, drugs, and even a television set.

Well, Jesus is the one coming "LIKE a thief in the night" and I asked you do you want to go with Jesus on that first call? The Bible tells us it will be lightning fast, and the graves will open and the dead in Christ will rise first along with the seas also giving up those who were dead in Christ. Then the living will be called!! Not all will go, only those who are saved!!! Are you saved? Are you sure? Have you invited Jesus into your heart and life? Welcomed Him through the power of the Holy Ghost?

Please, today, please take time to read John 3:16, Matthew 9:13, Romans 5:8, and then Romans 10:9/10 and then pray to the Father through His Son Jesus to be saved. You can do this. If you are struggling with it, call me. Use my cell phone, 991 0754, and I will do my best to guide you to Jesus.

Now go forth loving Jesus and sharing His Word with others. Love ya.

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD (Frances Townsend & Alfred B. Smith)

For God so loved the world He gave His only Son
To die on Calvary's tree, from sin to set me free.
Someday He's coming back; what glory that will be!
Wonderful His love to me!

For God so loved the world He gave His only Son
To die on Calvary's tree, from sin to set me free.
Someday He's coming back; what glory that will be!
Wonderful His love to me!

Monday 4/4/16 The Big Trip (60)

Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me of my sins and any sinful thinking that I might have done. Thank You, Lord, for rolling away more stones for me this day. Lord, please be with all those families displaced in the big Middletown fire. All glory and honor to You that everyone got out safely. Please, Lord, be with all firefighters and first responders, police, our veterans, active military and all others who work to protect us. Please be with President Obama and protect him as he is the commander-in-chief of our military. Please, Lord, be involved in our election and help us all to remember that regardless of who is elected, we above all want to serve You. Please help me now with the daily message as I try and wrap up the Big Trip, and then, dear Lord, please help me to get it dispatched. In the Wonderful Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, today, Lord willing, I am going to wrap up "The Big Trip" and  get back to a more normal style of writing. In other words, write on subjects more as the Lord gives them to me. While I feel God gives me all the messages, I have been trying to go from the Birth of Jesus through His life, death and resurrection. So let me have at it. This is not my final writing, just the end of The Big Trip!!!

Monday: April 4, 2016: The Big Trip (Day Sixty): Big Trip Finale!

Luke 24:44-53 New International Version (NIV)

44 He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms." 45 Then He opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.

Brothers and sisters, how in the world could we ever understand anything in our Bibles if God did not open our minds to understand it? In fact, and I do wish I would have learned this way back in my school days, if I had talked to God back then, maybe I could have understood what I read in the history books, etc. With that said, we all need to learn to pray before we pick up our Bibles so that the understanding becomes easier. I still have trouble with the first testament, but more and more He opens it to me, and He will do the same for you.

46 He told them, "This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high."

The advantage we have is already knowing these things. We just must have faith and believe all of it. Jesus, our Messiah (another name for Jesus) will suffer, and that happened a lot, not just on His Cross, but all the beatings, and He was spit on, cursed at before He died on His Cross. And to think, and again it is spelled out, all of this done for the forgiveness of your sins and mine. Also for all the people in the world. Please read John 3:16, 17 and 18 to confirm this. In other words, check me out!!!

In verse 48 His disciples were told they were witnesses of all those things, and we have witnessed it through believing in The Word in our Bibles. In verse 49 Jesus told them to remain in the city until they were clothed with "Power from on High." What was sent to them? It was the "Power of The Holy Ghost!!!" Just for one minute did you think clothed might have meant a new robe and sandals? Today some religions put a lot of value in all those fancy robes and that is okay if those same people have received The Power of The Holy Ghost. Please remember if you do not have the power of the Holy Ghost, all those  other things MEAN NOTHING!!!

The Ascension of Jesus

50 When He had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, He lifted up His hands and blessed them. 51 While He was blessing them, He left them and was taken up into heaven.

Right here I get really excited. Jesus led His disciples in the vicinity of Bethany. While He was blessing them (meaning us today, so take that blessing seriously) He, Jesus, lifted up His hands and while blessing them He was taken up into heaven.

But wait, a PROMISE HAS BEEN MADE. WHAT IS THAT PROMISE? He's coming back. I said He is coming back. He's coming back.

52 Then they worshiped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. 53 And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.

Matthew 28:16-20 New International Version (NIV)

The Great Commission

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Dear brothers and sisters, I also want you to see what was said to His disciples as He blessed them as recorded in the book of Matthew and this is very important to us today. All the authority is now given over to us. Yes, we are indeed those disciples of today. Now how can people baptize everyone, how can His Word reach everyone? By everyone of us all around the world telling someone else. Also the way I understand this is His Word must reach ALL NATIONS, and then He will return.

Brothers and sisters, I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO COMPLETE THIS BIG TRIP. Why? Here is the reason. The story cannot be completed until Jesus returns, and I am going out when He returns. I WILL NOT BE AROUND TO WRITE IT, EVEN IF HE RETURNS TONIGHT!!! And if you do not want to be around when the story is completed maybe you need to take time right now to come to Jesus. Yes, I am going to once again pray the sinners' prayer. Will you join me today?

Dear Father in Heaven, I confess with my mouth today and believe in my heart that Jesus is Lord and that He did die on His Cross for me. I believe it and have faith in his return. Please, Dear Father, send the Power of The Holy Ghost over me as I want to receive Jesus as my Savior. Please, dear Lord, know that I am indeed a sinner and ask today that You wash me white as snow. Please enter my name in The Lamb's Book of Life. Today I want to be saved, Born Again. In Jesus' Name, I ask this. Amen.

Brothers and sisters, I pray you enjoyed The Big Trip. I pray that through it someone has come to Jesus to be saved. All glory and honor is His with none at all to me.

Now go forth and spread this good, good news about Jesus. Love ya.

Saturday 4/2/16 The Big Trip (59)

PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD. Andrew has been found and is home safe. The family, thanks all of us who have prayed, with all glory and honor to God!

Dear Father in Heaven, we do serve an awesome Savior, and I want to thank You and give You all the honor and glory for hearing and answering our prayers for both Andrew and that tiny, tiny baby. Father, You are awesome also for saving us from our sins and I love You so much. Thanks for rolling away stones for us each day. I never realized just how many times in each day that You roll away stones just for me. Lord, as I get older I appreciate You more and more. Please open Your Word to me now for the daily message and then please help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, what great news, first about that tiny baby and now Andrew, who we have been praying for just over a week, is back home. Again, all glory and honor going to God. When someone goes missing or does not check in, hours of waiting seem like days and months. PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD. What great, great news. I was going to write yesterday but on the day people call April Fools Day, I could only think of one really foolish thing. If you do NOT know Jesus you are indeed a fool! As for the message today, we are still on the Big Trip, so let me get to it.

Saturday: April 2, 2016: The Big Trip (Day Fifty-nine)

John 21:15-19 New International Version (NIV)

Jesus Reinstates Peter

15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you love Me more than these?"
"Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love You."
Jesus said, "Feed my lambs."

What does this mean? While Jesus is reinstating Peter, it looks to me like Jesus is telling Peter to take the Good News of Jesus to the little children. This is what God is giving me. Also, Jesus is stating that we must love Him more than ALL OTHERS.  Same today, folks!!

16 Again Jesus said, "Simon son of John, do you love me?"
He answered, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love You."
Jesus said, "Take care of my sheep."

Again as I look at this it looks to me like Peter is being told to feed the older folks also. A lamb being a child, and the sheep being the adult. All need fed!!

17 The third time He said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?"
Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third tie, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love You."

I have a question here. How many times over the years have you heard Jesus calling out to you, do you love me? One, two, three, or so many you cannot remember? Jesus reinstating you is just part of His "Looking Beyond Our Faults."

Jesus said, "Feed my sheep.  18 Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go."

Again we are being told to feed His sheep, and we by now know it is from the kids to the oldies, which I am one of!!! In verse 18, this fits so well. Think about it, when you were younger you dressed yourself and we pretty much went where we wanted to go. Now as I am getting older when I am trying to put on my jacket oftentimes people want to come up and help me, and indeed my arms are stretched out.

Look at this, however, I know I have done it, and that is I stretched out my arms to the sides when talking about how Jesus died on the Cross.

19 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, "Follow me!"

Here we find we are being called again as Peter was called, and Peter died in a way to glorify God. Peter was martyred and back then that indicated that he was crucified upside down. ARE YOU WILLING TO BE MARTYRED FOR JESUS? I want you to really think about that, for the time might come when we need to say, I love Jesus, and if we do not deny Him, we could be shot, beheaded or some other way of being crucified. I hope none of us ever need to answer that question, however I know I love Jesus and I am willing if needed to die for Him. After all, HE ALREADY DIED FOR ME. And He died for all of you also. How about it? Would you? Something to really think about. This is happening all over the world, and it could come here. I did tell you about the priest that was crucified on Good Friday and the three-year old girl being beheaded. (Neither was in the USA.)

Now brothers and sisters, go forth and share the Good News of Jesus, and share please how He answered prayers as listed above and how He has answered other prayers for you. Love ya.

He Looked Beyond My Faults (to the tune of "Londonderry Aire" with words by the late Dottie Rambo. This tune was also used for the song "Danny Boy)

Amazing Grace shall always be my song of praise
For it was Grace that bought my liberty.
I do not know just why He came to love me so.
He looked beyond my fault and saw my need.

I shall forever lift mine eyes to Calvary
To view the Cross where Jesus died for me.
How marvelous the Grace that caught my falling soul!
He looked beyond my fault and saw my need.

I shall forever lift mine eyes to Calvary
To view the Cross where Jesus died for me.
How marvelous the Grace that caught my falling soul!
He looked beyond my fault and saw my need.
