Tuesday Oct. 11, 2011 Promises 7

Dear Children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. I still cannot figure out how to set the size of the lettering up on this stupid computer, or should I say this stupid computer operator cannot figure out how to set the size of the lettering up on this wonderful machine. HELP.

Tuesday and the day we pray for cures for cancer, heart problems, other health concerns and computer problems. (Thought I would just stick that one in today.) Today Dolores goes to the knee surgeon and gets the cast off her leg. Please pray that this new knee will work and start bending right away. Also pray for God to heal my right knee, the doctors say I need a new knee, and I am waiting upon the Lord to put the juice back between the bones.

Promises of God Day 7: 1 John 3:18 - Dear Children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. (NIV)

Do you get up each day and tell your children and your spouse that you love them? That to me is very, very important. We need to tell others that we love them, but more than that, the scriptures of our Lord tell us that we also need to show it. As we need to tell others we love them, we need to do it with action and in truth. How do we tell someone we love them in
actions. It is easy, first we love our Lord Jesus MORE than we love the one we are telling we love them. Oh, and we should tell Jesus we love him also. And when it comes to telling Jesus we love Him, again we need to show that in our actions, so we need to walk in the footsteps of Jesus and live by His commands. And if, and listen to me here, if we live for Jesus and walk in His light in all we do, that will indeed not just show Jesus that we love Him, but it will show our spouse and our children that we love them and by walking with Jesus we are setting a good example for them to follow. Let me tell you that if someone truly loves Jesus and lives that life and walks that walk, they will treat you good and you will treat them good and you will respect each other... A great promise of God, we should show our love in actions and truth, after all, did Jesus not show His love for us, by His actions on the cross?

I want to do one more scripture today. Let me ask you this question, have you ever felt lonely, left out, or left behind, so to speak?

John 14: 18 - "I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you. 19 Before long the world will not see me anymore but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live." (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, what Jesus is saying here when He says, "I will not leave you as orphans" is He will not leave us alone. Our Lord Jesus has left us the Holy Spirit to comfort us, but Jesus lives in our hearts, (if we let Him in).

And if we walk with Jesus we too will live because He lives. Because He lives, I can face tomorrow... I wonder how it would be if we did not have Jesus in our hearts. When I look back I must wonder what it might be like. But I came to Jesus and I do not want to go back, I want to press on, working and living for Jesus each and every day of my life. How about You? Let's pray.

Dear Father in Heaven, I want to walk with You, talk with You and moreso show my love for You by the way I live and work and in truth. I love You, Jesus, and I ask today that You please keep evil away from me. Help me set examples wherever I go by letting people see You in Me. Please honor our prayer requests according to Your will for us... In the name of Jesus, I
pray. Amen.

Now go forth sharing the blessings that God has given unto you. Have a blessed day. I love ya, Pastor Dan.
