Friday Oct. 28, 2011 How to Start Your Day! 5

THEN SINGS MY SOUL, MY SAVIOR, GOD, TO THEE, HOW GREAT THOU ART, HOW GREAT THOU ART, THEN SINGS MY SOUL, MY SAVIOR, GOD, TO THEE, HOW GREAT THOU ART, HOW GREAT THOU ART.

On hearing this Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

"Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near."

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Friday and the day we pray for all those who work the fields of Harvest for our Lord Jesus. And please keep praying for Baby Boy Noah who has cancer. Also, men, please, if you have not done it, go out and get a new snow shovel, and please consider getting a plastic one, as they are a lot lighter for your wife to use... (a joke, ladies).

How to start your day! Day 5: THEN SINGS MY SOUL, MY SAVIOR, GOD, TO THEE, HOW GREAT THOU ART, HOW GREAT THOU ART, THEN SINGS MY SOUL, MY SAVIOR, GOD, TO THEE, HOW GREAT THOU ART, HOW GREAT, THOU ART.

Matthew 9:12 - On hearing this Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." (NIV)

Matthew 3:2 - "Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near." (NIV)

One way I like to start my day is by getting out of bed and after prayer and even before I start my message is to sing, and sing loud, this great chorus and let me do it again... come on, hit it with me... and take that ending way up, be a Duane for this one... (Duane Nicholson, world's greatest gospel tenor).

And the really best way to start each day is to REPENT, and brothers and sisters, throughout the Bible we are told that. Above are just two scriptures where we are told to repent. Matthew 9:12/13 in the words of Jesus telling us we must repent, although He does not use the word repent. And then from Matthew 3:2 and that quotes John the Baptist. And now I am telling you, based on what I read in my Bible and you folks know that I believe ALL that is in the Bible and we must repent of our sins, folks, we must repent... No better time to look over the day before than when we first get up in the morning.

So let me just review real fast here... How to Start your day!

Wake up!

Talk to God, thanking Him for a good night and waking you and asking Him to forgive you and start you fresh.

REPENT OF YOUR SINS.

Walk with Jesus in all you do.

Read some scriptures.

PUT THEM TO USE!!

Have a diet Pepsi, or coffee or tea or milk and a little breakfast from things God provided you.

Yes, of course I know you had to go to the toilet, I just did not want to say it, so I will not!! But yes, work it into your morning schedule.

Get going on your day, living it to please Jesus and if you live it to please Jesus it should please everyone else.

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks again and again for helping me morning after morning to get started and to get a message out... I sometimes feel I let You down, but I for sure want to write what You want me to write. Lord, hear our prayers for this day, helping all who work the fields for You and answering our prayers according to Your will for us... In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Now repent, and share your blessings and live for Jesus... and yes, I am putting the snow plow on the truck today... love ya, Pastor Dan.

And folks, I really do love you, all of you... I don't take that lightly and I wish I could hug all your necks... or the necks of you all...
