Monday, Oct 31, 2011 Safety First (A must read)

Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men.

Good evening, my dear brothers and sisters. It is not too late today to pray for all those we pray for on Monday, our leaders, our military, and all others who work to keep us safe and healthy. And as in the above scripture, those in authority over us. Also pray for the parents of Wanda Crockett and Glenda Leib, both prayer warriors on the line. Their father, and I am so sorry, I don't remember his name, was taken to the hospital this afternoon with congestive heart failure. I will give updates as I receive them.

Let me say that I am a tad late today (no kidding Pastor Dan). We started out with an early morning doctor's appointment, then the goat vet was coming so we worked with her, then Dolores had PT, and then we got a call to pick up a Yorkshire Terrier. Now about the little doggie, we had said we would not adopt any more, but had one here in foster care and returned her (Angel Marie) to her owner Sunday afternoon. Sadly, her owner, Carol Harris, had to go back to the hospital today, so we got Angel back, and ask you to pray for Carol.

Tomorrow might be a repeat of today as I have a doctor's appointment at 6.30 AM (yes, my doctor comes in early). Also, so you know that our run on Christmas as Santa and Mrs. C (I am Santa) starts on Wednesday and until we get the schedule down I might be writing at different times of the day. With all that said, today is an extra and now the start of a series.

As most of you know I spent many years in charge of the Central Dauphin School Bus fleet, about 25 years and most in leadership. One of my jobs was the training of drivers and the safety of those drivers and the buses and of course the world's most valuable cargo, the children. In those years that I was in charge of the fleet we never had a student injury inside a bus in an accident... However, my first year as a driver there was a bad accident that really put me in the ready position when I was moved into the office the following year. So with that said, I want to give you a few pointers on some safety tips...

Titus 3:1 - Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, 2 to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men. (NIV)

I used this scripture to show you that even your speeding and bad driving can be a sin. You see that it tells us to be subject to rulers and AUTHORITIES. The authorities or magistrates as the King James Bible calls the authorities. And a magistrate is a POLICE OFFICER.

Ok, so now you have that connection, let's talk about some safety and I should have had this out before this snow fall.

Before all else, pray about your trip...

It takes many things to have safety on the road, first of all you need good drivers, and I know all of you are the best, and it is the other person, but hey, to me, you might be the other person. First of all we need to be as drivers ready for the road. What can make you not ready? Well, let's start with you are too tired to drive, or you had to much to drink, or you had too many medications and you are tired.

You had a fight at work or with a family member, many things can have you not to full attention. Then some drivers are on cell phones, texting, putting on make up (I never did that one, honest), eating while driving (did that one) or doing so many things while driving. Even those direction finders who in some cases I see on the inside of the windshields of ROAD BUSES. I think is bad, and bus drivers have ear pieces. First for school bus drivers, when I was at Central Dauphin those things were just coming out. They were a no, no, back then for a driver to talk on the phone while driving.

So how safe can a driver be, let's say, Lillie Be Good, is going down the road, a cell phone in one hand and a smoke in the other, and what is steering the car (be nice on that one)? Or how about, Big Tank Burger who has his phone on, and a burger in one hand and a soda in the other, and fries on the seat. Was he steering with his elbows going down the road? You are getting the point, so I will move on.

To sum that part up, a driver must be in control when driving and one of my sayings going down the road is to sort of say loudly HANG UP THE PHONE AND DRIVE YOUR CAR. Drivers. be alert... Now for some car things.

Your car must be ready, tire pressures, and tire tread, wiper blades, washer fluid and lights are just a few things that all drivers should look at daily, and then oil needs checked and it should be done when you get gas (no, not from the food you eat, I am talking gas at the pumps.) Get under the hood and look around. Now here is an offer you can use and I mean it... If you do not know your way around under your hood, or where to check what, I WILL SHOW YOU. But right now you might need to get in line with the kids wanting gifts. Anyway, your car must be in good shape. Also, clear the windshield of frost and snow, etc., and remember, if you do not clear the roof of snow, and the car gets warm inside and you stop or even slow down fast, you might find all that SNOW ON YOUR WINDSHIELD. So clear the car, and get yourself ready. And remember this, sand bags in the trunk of a front wheel drive car don't cut it. In a rear wheel drive, put some sand bags in the trunk and if you don't need to go in the snow, stay home and build a snowman, or snow woman. Now here a just a few road safety features.

Speed Limits are TOP SPEED set for good weather, obey the speed limit, do not go with the flow, lead the flow. If the speed limit is 65 and the weather is good, go 65, not 70 or 80 or more, after all your name is not CARL EDWARDS, or JEFF GORDON.

If the weather is slick, please remember this. If you drive a 4 X 4 or four wheel drive for those who don't know the term 4 X 4 (no that is not piece of lumber) - Anyway, a four wheel drive car will go better in the snow, but IT WILL NOT STOP ANY BETTER and that is why in the snow a lot of the crashes you come upon are those 4 X 4's on their roof. So when you must go and on the snow, use this term that I taught people. Go easy, easy on the gas, easy on the brakes and easy on the steering, and better yet stay off the road.

Did you know that in snow the FIRST INCH IS THE SLIPPERY INCH and snow is more slippery at 30 to 36 degrees than at 10 degrees or lower. Now that I told you that, please do not speed on real cold snow.

Do you know what black ice is? It is ice so thin that you cannot tell it is ice till you spin out. Watch for black ice with drizzle at freezing temps. Watch for black ice when you have fog at freezing temps. Yes, frozen fog is bad. Watch for ice on bridges and in shady places like under a bridge. Bridges can freeze first because, yes, folks, the air goes over and under the bridge. Also, you are doing good on the interstate highway and it is salted (that is the junk that trashes your car) and you are doing that speed limit running in the wet road and you go off the exit to find out the exit ramp as not been touched... The number to call is "TOW TRUCK" (I know it is one extra number, I am running late.)

Just a few more things and we are done for today...

How many colors on a traffic signal? If you said three, you are wrong. Anyone who I taught will tell you a traffic signal has four colors.

Green, you keep going.

Stale Green, a green light that was green when you first saw it, if ready for it to change.

Yellow, means to slow down and stop. IT DOES NOT MEAN, FLOOR IT AND MAKE IT THROUGH.

Red Light, yes it means STOP, really, it does and when it turns green, look both ways before you pull out, look for the one who made a run on the light... it happens a lot...

Turn on RED SIGNAL... Same as a stop sign YOU MUST STOP, NOT SLOW DOWN AND KEEP GOING. Stop means the wheels are not moving. (It really does.)

Stop sign, see above.

Yield. Means what it says, YIELD, and if you can't yield because of traffic, then treat the Yield sign as a stop sign (see above).

Now I think that will get you started... and folks, if you have a new teen driver, pay a few bucks and get a pro to train them (no, I am not looking for a job, I taught my kids, and I have a full head of very gray hair to prove it (just kidding kids, I love you).

Dear Father in Heaven, help us on the road, help us in the car, and help us to remember to pray before we start to drive on the road... Thanks for watching over us on the road... In Jesus' name.

Now go forth sharing your blessing and also the road, remember in America we drive on the right!! (I had to put that one in yet.) Now go forth and live for Jesus and help others keep living by driving safely. Now if you want to get to heaven real fast... forget all I just told you, and drive like a nut but remember, the other driver you hit might not be saved... Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Friday Oct. 28, 2011 How to Start Your Day! 5

THEN SINGS MY SOUL, MY SAVIOR, GOD, TO THEE, HOW GREAT THOU ART, HOW GREAT THOU ART, THEN SINGS MY SOUL, MY SAVIOR, GOD, TO THEE, HOW GREAT THOU ART, HOW GREAT THOU ART.

On hearing this Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

"Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near."

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Friday and the day we pray for all those who work the fields of Harvest for our Lord Jesus. And please keep praying for Baby Boy Noah who has cancer. Also, men, please, if you have not done it, go out and get a new snow shovel, and please consider getting a plastic one, as they are a lot lighter for your wife to use... (a joke, ladies).

How to start your day! Day 5: THEN SINGS MY SOUL, MY SAVIOR, GOD, TO THEE, HOW GREAT THOU ART, HOW GREAT THOU ART, THEN SINGS MY SOUL, MY SAVIOR, GOD, TO THEE, HOW GREAT THOU ART, HOW GREAT, THOU ART.

Matthew 9:12 - On hearing this Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." (NIV)

Matthew 3:2 - "Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near." (NIV)

One way I like to start my day is by getting out of bed and after prayer and even before I start my message is to sing, and sing loud, this great chorus and let me do it again... come on, hit it with me... and take that ending way up, be a Duane for this one... (Duane Nicholson, world's greatest gospel tenor).

And the really best way to start each day is to REPENT, and brothers and sisters, throughout the Bible we are told that. Above are just two scriptures where we are told to repent. Matthew 9:12/13 in the words of Jesus telling us we must repent, although He does not use the word repent. And then from Matthew 3:2 and that quotes John the Baptist. And now I am telling you, based on what I read in my Bible and you folks know that I believe ALL that is in the Bible and we must repent of our sins, folks, we must repent... No better time to look over the day before than when we first get up in the morning.

So let me just review real fast here... How to Start your day!

Wake up!

Talk to God, thanking Him for a good night and waking you and asking Him to forgive you and start you fresh.

REPENT OF YOUR SINS.

Walk with Jesus in all you do.

Read some scriptures.

PUT THEM TO USE!!

Have a diet Pepsi, or coffee or tea or milk and a little breakfast from things God provided you.

Yes, of course I know you had to go to the toilet, I just did not want to say it, so I will not!! But yes, work it into your morning schedule.

Get going on your day, living it to please Jesus and if you live it to please Jesus it should please everyone else.

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks again and again for helping me morning after morning to get started and to get a message out... I sometimes feel I let You down, but I for sure want to write what You want me to write. Lord, hear our prayers for this day, helping all who work the fields for You and answering our prayers according to Your will for us... In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Now repent, and share your blessings and live for Jesus... and yes, I am putting the snow plow on the truck today... love ya, Pastor Dan.

And folks, I really do love you, all of you... I don't take that lightly and I wish I could hug all your necks... or the necks of you all...

Thursday Oct. 27, 2011 How to Start Your Day! 4

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, I pray that you are all well and doing just great today. Today, Thursday, and that means it is families day and also schools day. The day we pray for families and also for our schools. Folks, if you can do it, get on your knees today and pray and pray for families, I don't know of many families that within that family there are problems, some not serious, but others that are. Also our schools, I mean our schools are bad. One thing, and this is my opinion, and yes, I will hear from some of you. It seems that our politicians just think if you keep giving more dollars for educations it would get better, but where does the money go? Football complexes, swimming pools, staff benefits, and not books. But let me tell you where you could spend some money and it would help kids to learn... Take a few dollars and go to Lowes (or another lumber store) get some one by twos and cut them in two foot lengths. Then take one end and narrow it down some and wrap it with tape and take the other end and drill a few holes in it... When a kids steps out of line, the leader of that school should take the one by two and grab the taped end in his hand, and apply the end with the holes in it to the backside of the one who needs it... Oh, and if the problem is the teacher's fault, take them by the hand, lead them to the door, and show them the WAY OUT. And while at the door, the one in charge needs to shout out... COME ON IN, JESUS... Notice I did not say "beat the kid," just one swat or two applied during the first or second day of school to a few kids and the word would spread. But anyway, pray for our schools and all that have anything to do with them, and pray for the parents also for they are involved in family and in schools..

Also pray today for the Crockett family. Last night one of their children, Sonya, and a couple of their grandchildren were involved in a bad traffic accident, and the last I heard they were on their way to the hospital. Updates as I get them. Pray for Josh. Prayers for Baby Boy Noah.

How to start your day! Day 4: John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (NIV)

One of the best ways to start your day is by knowing that God The Father and Jesus, His one and only Son, both love us very, very much. There are many places in the scriptures that tell us just how much God loves us, one I like best is one most everyone can relate to as it is one of those scriptures that is used a lot. Here is another way to show you just how much our loving God really loves us, and loves us regardless of how we start our day.

Romans 5:8 - But God demonstrates His own love for us in this. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (NIV)

God did not just give His Son to us to live among us for a while, but also He died for us to save us from ourselves. Think about this as you get up this morning and wait for the water to get hot for your tea and for your toast to Pop up. Yes, one of the ways we like to start our day is with a cup of tea or a cup of coffee or if you are like me, a big, real big, diet cherry Pepsi. In fact most of the time you could find a diet Pepsi setting on the headboard of my bed.

Sometimes we worry and I am sure all of you have worried about this at one time or another, "does someone like me" Me, meaning anyone of us... In grade school, I wondered if this little girl liked me, hey, she looked at me one day. Then as we get older, does someone like us? The truth is we really like everyone to like us. When you start your day and you are worried about if someone likes you or loves you, do this, take the worry, put it in the form of the prayer, and give it to the man, our Lord Jesus, who we know loves us regardless. Regardless of what? Regardless of anything and everything we ever did. He might not like a lot of the things we have done but He still loves us regardless. Unconditional Love. I often think about our beloved dogs, and Martin the most and how much this little boy just loves me. Well, folks, God loves you so, very, very, very much more. So I can only say it this way today... God Loves you regardless... So again I say, He gave us another day, why not live it to please Him? If we don't, He will still love us, but let's really please Him today... OK... Let's love Him, because He first loved us. Amen.

Thanks for loving me, dear Jesus, thanks for loving me regardless. I love You also, Lord, but sometimes I don't show it, so please forgive me. In Jesus' name, I ask this. Amen.

Now go forth sharing your blessings and knowing that God loves you as you start this day and as you go through it and as you end it, and will do it all over again tomorrow... Amen. love ya, Pastor Dan.

Wed. Oct. 26, 2011 How to Start Your Day! 3

Jesus answered: "I am the way, and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Thank You, Jesus, for another nights sleep, thanks for waking me on this another day. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. Another beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole... And it is Wednesday and that means it is Salvation Wednesday on this line. A day to clear our own sins by calling on Jesus to clean us again. And then if you are not saved, fully come to Jesus, and if you are saved, go to work for Jesus helping bringing in the lost... By the way, no we in this one, for I know this, I AM SAVED... prayers today for the unsaved, for Baby Boy Noah. Prayers also for our son Matthew and for him to connect with his son Noah. (Different Noah.) Also pray for Tyler to connect with his family. You know tomorrow is family day, but let's pray for families today also.

How To Start Your Day! Day 3: John 14:6 - Jesus answered: "I am the way, and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (NIV)

How to start your day, and you know most of the time I am going to tell you to read a scripture, and then talk to God... And that is no different today. John 14:6, I just love it, it makes it clear to me, if you don't know Jesus you don't get into Heaven.

Here is a great way to start your day, and we are going to do it tomorrow... and if you wish you may join us. I will be writing the message in the morning and then our Ministry team, Dolores, Pam, Wanda, Grant and me, will be going to the Bridges for a sing-a-long. This is our last sing-a-long for the year, and we do two a month at the Bridges, but it is the last for the year as Santa and Mrs. C roll out next week.

So if you want to sing your hearts out for an hour tomorrow morning come to the Bridges by 10:00 AM and join us. More than likely we will be doing some old hymns and some Christmas music. Here is another way to start your day. and it is calorie free.

I got up this morning and prayed to God with my wife and then went to our son Keith's garage and had our snow fighter truck inspected. Then I came home, got a big glass of chocolate milk, and set it aside. Got out the frying pan, cut some sweet onions and put them in the pan in REAL BUTTER. Then cut up a cooked potato and put it in the pan, and fried them up till they got a crisp on them. Then I beat up three eggs (yes, they were out of the chickens) and I poured that over the potatoes and onions, then I shredded some sharp cheese over that, and after stirring it for a tad, put some American cheese on top of that... I am telling you, that is the way to start the day, with God, with my wife, then one of our sons, and then with some good old food, provided of course by the hands of our Loving God.

Wow, only 55 minutes till lunch time. Now I confessed my food addiction over to you this morning, (did not need to tell God, He watched me eat it.) I have told you for three days how to start your day, now please would you just take a minute and tell me how you start your average day.

As I get ready to go to prayer and to close for today I want to tell you this... The more you love Jesus, the more YOU LOVE JESUS, the more you are going to love others. I don't know how I ever got through days before I fell in love with Jesus, but man, did it change me.

Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers, and thank You, Lord, for changing me so much when I fell in love with You. Thanks for clearing my sins and doing it again and again when I mess up. Thanks for hearing our prayers today and Jesus, I just want You to really know this... I love You and I am going to try and do my best today to please You... Thanks for another day... In Your name, I pray, Jesus. Amen.

Now go forth sharing those blessings and living for God and hugging on His nail scarred hands... love ya, Pastor Dan.

PS. Please pray for my health, my right hand and up to my elbow is asleep and I am starting to drop things with that hand. I need two shoulders worked on (that would be both of them.) I need two knees (I have three, you think about that one.) I need another back surgery and my neck needs some surgery. I am waiting upon the Lord. Pray warriors pray, pray that Satan gets the HELL out of my life... If he thinks for one minute I am going to quit on Jesus, that master of evil is DEAD wrong.

Tuesday Oct. 25, 2011 How To Start Your Day 2

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want!

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. What a beautiful morning here at the Southern Location of the North Pole... And old Santa and Mrs. Claus are starting to get very, very busy. We had the snow sleigh out and had the tanks filled with fuel and wow, that is like filling your fuel oil tank at home. We are ready to get moving. Folks, if you want to have a great time, have a wonderful meal, eat some famous sticky buns and see a good Christmas play, book in to Allenberry Playhouse and Resort Inns... Yes, I am giving them a plug today for they are very, very good to us. They donate all of the turkeys and hams for Christmas, last year 50 each. But on top of that, we get to be Santa and Mrs. C (I am Santa, thank you) and we get to sing and TELL PEOPLE THE REAL REASON FOR CHRISTMAS. Yes, the Heinze family are born again folks who do a great job with the Christmas play... And at Allenberry we are permitted to say MERRY CHRISTMAS, So today, may I be the first to say that to you... MERRY CHRISTMAS, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JESUS.

Tuesday and the day we pray for cures for those things like cancer and heart problems, etc. Speaking of cancer, the parents of "Baby Boy Noah" were here to our food bank last evening and said Noah has come home from the hospital for a short time and must go back. Again I also ask that you keep praying for Vicki as she has a full plate of health problems. Also pray for Tyler, and I have withheld the last name, but he seems to have walked from his family, pray he comes back.

How to start your day! Day 2: Psalm 23:1 - The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters. 3 He restores my soul, He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. Your rod and staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, You anoint my head with oil and my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (NIV)

A good way to start your day is of course with prayer and we talked about that yesterday. Today I want to add in reading some scriptures from your Bible... You do not need to plan which one, for they are all good. You could just open it and read what God points out to you. That is what I did this morning, God pointed out this wonderful Psalm to me.

What a way to start a day, you read the 23rd Psalm and the first thing it tells you is this... "I shall not want!" Now God has not changed over the years, but some of the meanings of the words change. All of us or most all of us want something, Gosh, I would love a new Caddy, but that is not a need, and God takes care of our needs. So we get up in the morning and one thing we do not need to worry about is WHAT WILL WE EAT, OR WHAT WE WILL WEAR, for if we really look hard, you will find you are maybe like this... You open the door to the food pantry and you look in and it is lined with food, canned goods, peanut butter and jelly and lots of stuff, it is stuffed full of NOTHING TO EAT!! Tell me you have not thought that in the middle of the night when you get hungry and are looking for a snack. You have a pantry and fridge full of NOTHING TO EAT! Oh and how about this one, you are going out for an evening, maybe to church or maybe to dinner, whatever, and you get in your closet and you look around and you are standing there thinking I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR, and you have a whole closet full of NOTHING TO WEAR!

Brothers and sisters, God has blessed America over and over and over again, and still we have people right now marching on Wall Street, or should we call it sleeping in the park... These folks do not want to work as they think the people with money should just give it to them. Americans need to wake up and go to work, there are jobs out there for those willing to do them. Our Nation is blessed but right now in the South crops are rotting in the fields because Americans will not do that kind of work and the laws forbid those workers coming across the boarder from doing them. Even those folks who refuse to go to work, God sees that they have food. Folks, don't get me wrong here as there are people who need our help and cannot work as they are disabled and we need to take care of them.

God does provide our needs but often does it thorough the hands of others. So again I ask you that you might start the day with this statement in prayer to God. "God, You have given me another day and may I give it back to You by living to please You." And in living to please God you might want to help others. Today I want you to try something. Go to the sink, put one hand behind your back and wash the other one. Hard to do, wash one hand without the other... You see in life one hand washes the other and I am not talking about how those in Washington work, I am talking about how we need to work for God, we need to join in helping others.

So how are you going to start today? How about reading the 23rd Psalm over again... and then praying!!

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.

Dear Father in Heaven, forgive me for I am a sinner and in need of Your saving grace. Lord, I want to give this day back to You for You first gave it to me. Put me to work in some way for You today. Please act on our prayers today according to Your will and we give You thanks for that... In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

Now go forth sharing those blessings and loving each other and loving the Lord more each day... love ya, Pastor Dan.

Monday Oct. 24, 2011 How to start your day!

"Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses (Debts) as we forgive those who trespass against us, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from Evil for Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory Forever. Amen"

Good Monday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. I pray you had a blessed weekend and that your day is starting off with God. Please pray today for our leaders, including our President and his family. Pray first for their salvation, and while I am not judging them, I cannot see how they or anyone else who supports abortion can be saved. There it is, I said it, I am sure I will be told about it, but I said it and I mean it. Please warriors, as you look for whom to vote for in any election, please consider voting for those who support life of our unborn children. In plain words, if a person cannot support that child in a womb, how can they be expected to support anything you might want out of a leader? Better yet, why not just let Jesus be your leader? Also on the prayer list today is our veterans, military, police, firefighters, and all who work so hard to keep us healthy and safe. Also pray for Kathy who has cancer and her parents came to me yesterday and asked we pray for God to take her home, she is saved and she is in pain and meds no longer control it... So today we put Kathy in the arms of the Lord for His will to be done. Also please keep praying for Vicki as she has a full plate of health issues.

How to start your day! Matthew 6:9 - "Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses (Debts) as we forgive those who trespass against us, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from Evil for Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory Forever. Amen" (Gideon's Edition)

In short this Monday morning I want to tell you that the best way to start your day is with our Lord God. I am talking the very first thing you do in the morning, as you wake up, swing yourself to the side of your bed, and talk to God. Thank Him for another day and if you care to, use the prayer Jesus taught us to pray, or just, just talk to Him.. Remember Jesus is alive and well and is waiting for you 24 hours a day. He will talk to you anytime and I mean He will talk to you. But you must listen. After thanking Him for the day, and again I love this little prayer of mine. "Thank You Jesus for another day, and help me as I want to honor You for giving me this day by living it to please you in all I do." Brothers and sisters, I cannot live it to please Him if I don't talk to Him about it. Did you ever take time just to think about what Jesus might want you to do? We tell Jesus what we need from Him, we tell Him how we feel, and we ask for help from Him (or should) in what we have plans to do, but do we ever just stop and say, "Jesus, what would You like me to do for You this day? How can I be of help to You in Your work here on earth?

I want to take a look this week at a few things that Jesus would like us to do for Him that are spelled out so clearly in the Bible. For now, well, let's talk with Jesus and then let's end the talk with the prayer He taught us to use.

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for another day, and may I give it back to You by living to please You. Lord, look after our leaders including our President and his family and Lord, I pray first for their souls, all the souls of our leaders. And then I pray for their safety and for them to be working through You in all they do. Lord, be with Kathy as we place her in Your arms for loving care and custody and for Your will to be done with her life and cancer. Yes, Lord, we would love her to be healed and left with us. Be with our veterans and our current military, and please, Lord, bring our fighting warriors home safe and real soon. Please return to us, dear Lord, bringing peace to all... Until then, dear Lord, help us to work for You. Be with Vicki and heal all of her health concerns. Thanks for working with Dolores and for healing her knee. Lord, I need the touch on my right knee today also. Lord, thanks for this line and may I always work it for You. And Jesus thanks for this prayer...

Amen"

Now go forth singing and praising God and talking to Him, while sharing your blessings He lent to you... Blessings on Loan from God. Share them... Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Friday Oct. 21, 2011 What Comes out of Your Mouth? 5

"The Most important one," answered Jesus, "is this, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.'" "The second is this; 'Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandments greater than these.'"

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. This is the day we pray for those going into the fields of Harvest and working for our Lord Jesus. Please pray today for the Stoner family. The Stoners (Aviation Missionaries to Togo), outlining their timelines, i.e., hopeful plans regarding language school and then on to the mission field. I'm asking, okay, pleading, that you'll storm heaven with your prayers for these wonderful people. That's what's needed here, above all else. And that's why I'm making this plea to you special people, you prayer warriors, who I know I can count on to help me lift Dan, Rachael, Isaac, Lydia, Josiah, and the yet-to-be-born baby ever higher in prayer. Prayer warriors, this young man, Dan Stoner, and his family, are flying into the corners of the earth to tell of the Good News of Jesus. Pray, pray, and pray some more... All of us should be going into the fields of harvest for Jesus as this was/is and will be a command of Jesus till He returns for us.

What Comes out of Your Mouth? Day 5: Mark 12:29 - "The Most important one," answered Jesus, "is this, 30 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.'" 31 "The second is this; 'Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandments greater than these.'" (NIV)

Folks, I want to point out another scripture before I write all the message and wrap out this about what comes out of your mouth. Folks, I have been asked how can you love someone that you really dislike or even hate. You know that is hard to do, love someone you hate, but you must do it and even pray for them. Listen to these words from the one who is really loving you, even though we, you and me, have trashed Him out from time to time. (Trashed Him out, meaning turned our back on Him and sinned against Him.)

Matthew 5:43 - "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. 44 But I tell you; Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in Heaven, He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your brothers what are you doing more than others? Do not even the pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore as your heavenly Father is perfect." (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, it is very hard to love someone that really hates you, but if we want God to forgive us we must do the same and move on with our lives. If you have been through a divorce or you have even a wayward child, you must forgive them. In today's market there is so much fighting even in families that brothers and sisters are hurting and even killing each other, and parents are hurting their children. Folks, we must truly love our families. One of the hardest things as a parent one has happen once in a while is a child going wrong and even to the point where they want to walk out of your life. Just keep praying for that wayward child and giving it over to our Lord Jesus. Read about the wayward son in the Bible... and keep on loving those who hate you and keep praying for them.

To me, loving others comes easy now but did not always, it took me to fall in love with Jesus to understand all of this. And I mean fall in love with Him, deeply and unconditionally in Love with Jesus to understand about loving others, even those who have really walked all over you in the past.

Also my late mamma, now my mamma was never late in her life till she died, and now I call her late... ok, so much for that joke... anyway, my late mamma told me this and I am sure most of you have heard this from your mammas. This is in talking about What Comes out of Your Mouth? and I think this might be a good way to wrap it up for the week. Wrap it up by telling you, you must love your neighbor that coming from God of course, and this coming from my mamma...

"If you don't have something good to say about someone, DON'T SAY ANYTHING."

Dear Father in Heaven, please say hi to my dear mamma. Tell her I love her, more and more each day, as I do You also, dear Lord. Please, Lord, help me always remember that if I cannot put something good out of my mouth to keep it shut. Lord, please be with the Stoner family and help them in their mission for You. Lord, I pray also for Vicki and she really, really needs to bring things to You. Lord, intervene in the family between a mother and son and help them this day, and Lord, please do not let another sun set on it. In the name of Jesus I ask You to heal my knee as it is in Your hands. Amen.

The Lord has given us another day, let us give it back to Him by living to please Him... and please share those blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Thurs. Oct. 20, 2011 What Comes Out of Your Mouth? 4

For I am afraid that when I come I may not find you as I want you to be, and you may not find me as you want me to be. I fear that there may be quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, fractions, slander, gossip, arrogance and disorder.

Good Thursday morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Thursday and the day we pray for families and also for schools. And as you pray for families please remember to pray for the family of God. Please remember to pray for Baby Boy Noah who at 3 years of age has cancer, and please pray for his family and extended family. Pray for Vicki and her family, the Saylor family. Also pray for all the families who come to our food pantry.

What comes out of Your Mouth? Day 4: 2 - Corinthians 12:20 - For I am afraid that when I come I may not find you as I want you to be, and you may not find me as you want me to be. I fear that there may be quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, fractions, slander, gossip, arrogance and disorder. (NIV)

Well, brothers and sisters, there are a lot of things in that one scripture that could come out of one's mouth. And while all those things could be linked together, they could also stand alone. Let's review them and see if any fit us. We talked about confession yesterday so if you need to confess any of these over, remember it is between you and God.

Quarreling - This one we might just want to call fighting, and it happens a lot in families. And some of the things that cause this quarreling might be money problems, the breadwinner out of work, jealousy, and lots of other things, and once some of the things that are said come out of your mouth, it makes the fighting or quarreling get worse. A lot of times these fights and quarrels happen in front of your children. And again I remind you that once these things come out of your mouth, you cannot put them back in.

What could we do instead of quarreling? How about some discussions on the subject you are quarreling about?

Jealousy - This has caused quarreling, and of course outbursts of anger, and has even resulted in injury and even death. To get around jealousy, you must form a bond, a bond of trust. If you have a mate that gets jealous easily, do all you can not to promote it.

I know over the years of jealousy that did cause injury and death, and did not need to be done. Again things said while in that jealous rage, cannot be taken back.

Outbursts of Anger - can cause a lot of screaming, cursing, even using the Lord's name in a cursing way. Folks, if you have outbursts of anger, you need to get to the root of what causes it, get some help, talk a lot to God, and let Him help you with this. Anger is a problem... one thing that feeds anger is booze.

Fractions, slander, gossip, and even arrogance - These things can happen often at the work place, often at the water cooler. Also the slander and gossip, believe it or not often happen in churches... WHAT DID I SAY, CHURCHES? Yes, even in churches, these things can happen.

Dear Father in Heaven, help us this day to weigh each and every word that comes out of our mouth, and again I ask that You help us to run things coming from our mouth past You, past our heart, past our brain before we put it out for the world to hear. We really need help on this one... In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Now go forth this day sharing your blessings. And since the Lord gave us another day, we need to do our best to give it back to Him by living to please Him in all we do. And if we really watch what comes out of our mouth, that would be a great start. Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Wed. Oct. 19, 2011 What Comes out of your mouth? 3

When anyone is guilty in any of these ways, he must confess in what way he has sinned and as a penalty for the sin he has committed, he must bring to the Lord a female lamb or goat from the flock as a sin offering and the priest shall make atonement for him for his sin.

Good Salvation Wednesday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is a beautiful morning here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Please, folks, as we pray today, please pray for the unsaved and pray that God will use us to help lead in the Lost, and please be open to the call of the Lord to do that work. Also, two weeks from this day, Santa and Mrs. Claus hit the road, and we need your prayers. As Santa and Mrs. Claus, we get to talk to a lot of people and we want to always talk to them about Jesus and why we have Christmas. Allenberry Playhouse and Resort Inn is our main stay and we get to talk to a lot of people.. Being the Claus family is something we love to do and we find we can mix it well and it has been a great tool in seeking out the lost. Dolores needs prayers for her knee so she can climb the bus steps and for me, well, I need prayers for my knees also, just so I can walk.

As you pray today for the lost, please pray for that 8 month old baby that is missing, and I forget the state where this is happening. Also in Ohio, someone has opened cages at a big game park and the lions and tigers are on the loose, and the owner of the park is dead. Folks, someday the lions will lay beside the lamb, but that is when Jesus comes back (hey that would be great today?).

What Comes Out of Your Mouth? Day 3: Leviticus 5:5 - When anyone is guilty in any of these ways, he must confess in what way he has sinned and as a penalty for the sin he has committed, he must bring to the Lord a female lamb or goat from the flock as a sin offering and the priest shall make atonement for him for his sin. (NIV)

Today as we talk about Salvation and what comes out of your mouth, let us look at scriptures that talk about confession. When we sin, either against God or against man and when we sin against man we are also sinning against God. When we sin, we need to confess, we really do. Folks, it is so easy to sin, it really is, as we are sinners by nature, only Jesus is clean of all sin and always has been.

Numbers 5:7 - The Lord said to Moses, 8 "Say to the Israelites; 'When a man or woman wrongs another in any way and so is unfaithful to the Lord, that person is guilty and must confess the sin he has committed. He must make full restitution for his wrong, add one fifth to it and give it all in the person he has wronged. (NIV)

Once again this scripture talks to us about confessing our sins, our sins we have done against other people. And you can see how I had already told you that if you sin against man, you are indeed sinning against the Lord.

So today I am talking about what comes out of your mouth and I am talking about confession or confessions, for if you are like me, I must put the s on confession.

Psalm 32:5 - Then I acknowledge my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord" and you forgave the guilt of my sin. (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, how often have we, and again I use the word we for it means you and me. How often have we tried to cover up our sins? Wow, I would not want to try and count them. Look back in your youth and think about it. It is sort of like we hid our sins, and think about it, we might be able to have hidden something we did wrong from our parents, but you just can't hide it from God. Even trying to hide it from my mamma was tough, for she had her ways of finding out things. She would tell me, Danny, she called me that when she was pleased with me... Danny, do you have something you want to tell me? Why do you ask, mamma? Well, you have been quiet lately, and that is not like you. What have you done, if you tell me it will be better for you than if I find out on my own. So I confess and then would pay the price. But she was true to her word, she did not go hard on me... But when I messed up and she would find out and not from me, it would go like this, DANIEL WEBSTER LEHMAN, YOU COME HERE TO ME. You know I get excited to think in the not too many years I will hear her calling me again. Let's look at another scripture about what comes out of your mouth.

Romans 10:9/10 9 - That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with YOUR MOUTH THAT YOU CONFESS and are saved. (NIV)

Confession is good for the soul, my dear brothers and sisters, good for the soul, and folks, we must confess to get into heaven, and the scriptures of today just prove that. Yes, we must work for our Lord after we confess, but we must confess as shown in the scripture from Romans 10:9/10.

So on this Salvation Wednesday as you talk to the unsaved, these scriptures should help you. Also we need to, even after we are saved, confess to sins. I do know this, I am saved, I am born again, and still I say to you...

Dear Father in Heaven, what we want to come out of our mouth today and every day is good things, but today we think about confession as it relates to being saved. So use us this day, Lord, first hear our prayers and please forgive us of our sins, and then use us to help bring in the lost. Hear our other prayers and answer according to Your will, oh Lord. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

And now go forth, sharing your blessings, confessing your sins, and saying and living this. "Lord, You gave us another day, may we give it back to You by living to please You in all we do." We want to live to please You Lord... I love You Jesus, and I love all of you folks... Pastor Dan.

Tuesday Oct. 18, 2011 What comes out of your Mouth? 2

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all ye lands. Serve the Lord with
gladness, come before His presence with singing.

Ok, my dear brothers and sisters, "What comes out of your mouth?" Today if you are with me, it is going to be a joyful noise. But first a few prayer requests, for Vicki, again, Vicki has a very full plate. Also please pray for Beverly and also for her family as they stand beside her as she goes
through some treatments that are very hard. Please keep praying for the Saylor family, pray for our flock on this line and also for our flock at the Bridges, and please, please pray for Carry The Light Ministries food pantry as the needs keep growing and growing. I must share this one with you, yesterday I had a gentleman call and ask if we would furnish "drinks." I asked if he was talking about sodas, beer, etc. and told him very nicely that we are a food bank and we do not purchase sodas or beer or any kind of booze. I told him we do get juice in sometimes but did not have any right now. I said we can help them with food, and he said they had a lot of food, just needed "drinks". He then said they wanted water. So I asked this very dumb question, I said do you have running water in your house, and he said they did, I said is it fit to drink, he said yes, so I told him to turn on the valve and drink it... God is so good that he provides our needs and one is water, and then we have it plumbed into the houses by people who God lent talent to. So, sometimes when having a food bank we need to show people how to help themselves. Do you think we need to be spending food pantry money to purchase bottles of water for those who just
want bottled water? I get a real charge out of people who get upset about paying $3.50 a gallon for gas, but will pay much more for a few bottles of water at those fast food places... Anyway, I offered again this... Do you need food help... and the answer was no, just drinks...

What Comes out of your mouth? Day Two Psalm 100:1 - Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all ye lands. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness, come before His presence with singing. (Gideons Edition)

Ok, so today let's sings songs of praise, let's make a joyful noise unto the Lord, so be you a singer or just one who makes the joyful noise, let's HIT IT...

This is the day, this is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made,
that the Lord has made. We will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it,
this is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it,
This is the day this is the day, that the Lord has made.

This is the day, this is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made,
that the Lord has made. We will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it,
this is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it,
This is the day this is the day, that the Lord has made.

This is the day, this is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made,
that the Lord has made. We will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it,
this is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it,
This is the day this is the day, that the Lord has made.

It took our God just six days to speak into creation most of all things, (He made man from dust). But when it comes to me and you, why we just need to put it in song today. FOR HE'S STILL WORKING ON ME.

He's still working on me, to make me what I ought to be.
It took Him just a week to make the moon and stars,
the sun and the earth and Jupiter and Mars,
How loving and patient He must be!
He's still working on me.
(keep working on me Lord, for I want to be right with You and for You.)

He's still working on me, to make me what I out to be.
It took Him just a week to make the moon and stars,
the sun and the earth and Jupiter and Mars,
How loving and patient He must be!
He's still working on me.
(I am like clay in His hands, when I don't get it right, and if I ask Him, He will pick me up and mold me again and again.. )

He's still working on me, to make me what I out to be.
It took Him just a week to make the moon and stars,
the sun and the earth and Jupiter and Mars,
How loving and patient He must be!
He's still working on me.

Dear Father in Heaven, please watch over those on our prayer list and take care of them according to Your will and not ours. Thanks for another day, Dear Lord, and may we give it back to You by living for You... In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Each time I do a singing type message, or a message in song, I like to leave you with one you can sing all day. So after the closing today, I will do that, so go forth now my brothers and sisters, and share your blessings and live the day to please God... Love ya, Pastor Dan.

Now put this on your lips and heart and sing it so others can hear you. Regardless of where you
are, welcome the Holy Spirit to comfort you... ready.

Holy Spirit, Thou art welcome in this place,
Holy Spirit, Thou art welcome in this place.
Omnipotent Father of mercy and grace,
Thou art welcome in this place.

Holy Spirit, Thou art welcome in this place,
Holy Spirit, Thou art welcome in this place.
Omnipotent Father of mercy and grace,
Thou art welcome in this place.

Monday Oct. 17, 2011 What comes out of your mouth?

And God Said. "Let there be light and there was light."

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is a beautiful morning here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. As for the weather report in this area, those living along the streams and low areas, please be alert to the fact we are to have another 2.5 inches of rain.

Prayers this day for our leaders, our President and our other leaders, those in congress, and those in our state houses and in our local governments, and maybe all of them should be reading the messages of this week or "What Comes Out Of Your Mouth?" and yes, you may send the message to your government officials. Beside praying for our leaders, please pray for our veterans, please pray for our military and for all who work to keep us safe. Please pray that those who are protesting would pack up and go home. I get a big kick out of the people protesting those big corporations, for if it were not for men and women walking out and taking a chance, pooling their dollars to build things, those protesting and us also would still be using an out
house. Those folks are standing in parks and speaking out and the only reason they can do that is because our Military fought battles to keep us free. As I see them protesting I am reminded again about those who do not work should not eat. GET A JOB, FOLKS, for if you put the time and effort you put into protesting you could surely find work to do. By the way, I have not seen one protester holding a sign saying their football team pays the players too much money and they should get some of the players money to be a fan... Ok, so much for that, and those folks should also read the message of today.

What comes out of your mouth? Day one: Genesis 1:3 - And God said, "Let there be light and there was light."

I invite all of you to go and read the creation story found in your Bible in Genesis, starting with Genesis 1:1 where it says this. "In the beginning God."

This is a very good place to find out some of the things that came out of the mouth of God. As in the most part God spoke creation into fact.

Also on today's Market you need also to think of your fingers as an extension of your mouth as we, and I say we, because I am writing to you folks each day. We need to also be thinking about what we have typed before we push the send button and send our thinking (or not thinking) out on the air waves.

As I look over our bodies or I should say as I look over my body for this story I am trying to figure out which part of my body is the strongest and which parts were the strongest in the past. Yes, at 70 we do start to lose some of the strength of your body parts. I should hope and pray that the strongest part of my body is still my brain and it should be the strongest part of your body also. However, even if our brain is the strongest part of our body, it does not do any good if we do not engage it. At one time I thought my legs were the strongest part of my body, I used them daily, I walked and walked at my service stations going out and in to the gas pumps as we were a full service service stations. But now my legs are old and worn and I can hardly walk anymore, so then I think about my arms and they are strong, but the only way I can keep them strong is to be using my brain so that I don't mess them up. I know people who have strong backs, powerful backs, and very strong bodies but the part that can do the most for you, either good or bad, is your mouth and if it is one body part that really needs you to engage your brain is your mouth and also those fingers as you type out messages.

So as we go through the messages this week, I want you to think of your body parts and the fact that the body part in charge of your body is your brain and the part that can get you into the most trouble is your mouth. I also want you to do this today, go to your bathroom and get our your toothbrush and the toothpaste, and I want you to squeeze out all of the toothpaste onto the brush, and then since you would have too much on the brush, put what you don't need back into the empty tube. Folks, that is my example of trying to put something back after it got out. And what comes out of your mouth is even harder to put back into your mouth. So God gave us all a brain, and we should really use it, but after that, don't just run things out your mouth, let's put the things you want to say into your brain and when they come out, run them into your heart. You see you need to really, really think about what you are saying and think about a lot of things... This week we are going to talk about some of the good things that come out of your mouth and some of the bad. We are going to make a list, and we are also going to look for scriptures each day where we find things that Jesus talks about and also what He tells us about what we should say. Tomorrow we will start by doing one thing that God tells us to do, and we need our mouth to do it. What is it? Well, it relates to noise.

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for getting me started on this message, and I ask that You watch over it and that You watch over my brain and my heart and that I always run what I am going to type or say through them. I also want all to learn this week, Lord, of how we should also run all things we are saying past You to see if they come up to your standards. Help us with that, be with Baby Boy Noah and heal his cancer and Lord, please heal Vicki and heal her body and mind so good that she can get back on the work force... In the name of Jesus, I pray for our leaders our president and other leaders. Keep them safe in their jobs. And Lord, before our President does anything I pray he runs it past You... In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Now go forth and know this. "God has given us another day, may we give it back to Him by living it for Him." Now go and share your blessings. Love Ya, Pastor Dan.

Friday Oct. 14, 2011 Promises 10

Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Good Friday morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Friday and do you know it is raining again? But golly we don't need to shovel it. AMEN. But we need to watch for those streams and creeks to be coming up as we have had a lot of rain again. I am so happy God is in charge, I really am, and I think today we need to just stop, right now, right up front and just give Him praise and honor and glory today. Come on with me today, for indeed THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE. THANK YOU, JESUS, PRAISE YOU, JESUS, WE LOVE YOU, JESUS, WE WORSHIP YOU, JESUS, WE LIFT YOU TODAY, JESUS, AND WE GIVE THANKS UNTO YOU THIS DAY, FOR JESUS, THIS IS THE DAY YOU MADE. And Jesus, I want to give this day back to You by living to please You in all I do...

Come on, brothers and sisters, let us make a joyful noise this day...

We will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it.
This is the day that the Lord has made, We will rejoice and be glad in it.

We will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it.
This is the day that the Lord has made, We will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has Made.

Holy Spirit, thou art welcome in this place, Holy Spirit thou art welcome in this place. Omnipotent Father of mercy and grace, Thou art welcome in this place.

Holy Spirit, thou art welcome in this place, Holy Spirit thou art welcome in this place. Omnipotent Father of mercy and grace, Thou art welcome in this place.

Holy Spirit, thou art welcome in this place, Holy Spirit thou art welcome in this place. Omnipotent Father of mercy and grace, Thou art welcome in this place.

This is the day, this is the day, that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made,
We will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it.
This is the day that the Lord has made, We will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has Made.

Dear Father in Heaven, we adore You this day and we want to travel with You this day, we want to walk in Your light this day and we want to repent from our sins this day. To do these things we need to grab hold of You and have You help us each step of the way, please, please, dear Lord, I ask in the name of Jesus that You do just that, be with us, send the Holy Spirit upon us and give us peace and joy and may we live with that peace and joy this day and forever more... in the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Promises Day 10: James 2:15 - Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action is dead. (NIV)

Let me put that in Lehman's Language today. (Like the way I spell Lehman?) What this scripture tells me is you cannot work your way into heaven, but you also cannot get there without working. Now that should have made it clear... Ok, let me put it in the terms that might be clearer. Let's say Mrs. Ima Cook, at the local church, works Sunday after Sunday getting those dinners ready for the after the church meals, maybe once a month she is at the stove getting things all ready and she does so many other things. She also stays after all have gone home and washes the pots and pans and takes out the trash, etc, etc, and so on and so forth. She really works hard for the church, but she never really gave herself over to Jesus to be saved, she
would just keep working and working for Him... Will this work get her to heaven, NO, she must take Jesus into her heart. Then there is Mrs. or Mr. Goody Shoes who have confessed their sins at the altar many times and have come to Jesus. But they never do any work for the Lord. So the Bible tells us that all this faith with no works is dead... So now we combine these folks. Mr. and Mrs. Shoes come in early to church and go to the kitchen and get Mrs. Ima Cook and tell her to put down the pots and pans and come to church. Mrs. Shoes who is putting feet on her prayers is taking Mrs. Cook to church and telling her this. Listen, I read in the Bible I must
also work and you must confess yourself to God. So my husband, Mr. Shoes, and I want you to come and sit with us in church and then we will come and help you in the kitchen. So the point of the story is this. Today for lunch at the church we are going to Cook up some Shoes. No, no did I really say that... No, what we have is all of these folks getting it right. They have come to Jesus and now they are working for Him. Again we have one of those Promises of God, where He tells us that if we have faith and then show it in our works we will get to heaven in the end, for it is by faith in Jesus we are saved and it is by working for Him that we follow in His footsteps and stay on the path to salvation.

So now you are saying why can't we just work for God to get into Heaven? Look, I don't make the rules, here it is from the Bible...

Ephesians 2:8 - For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, 9 Not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do. (NIV)

There will be no bragging in Heaven folks, Jesus went to the cross to save all of us from our sins... Each of us will be saved according to our faith and love for Jesus and we will be saved by His blood shed on the cross for us.

John 14:6 - Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth and the life, NO ONE comes to the Father except through me." (NIV)

And now my quote that I gave you yesterday. "Go forth and share your blessings." "Lord, You have given us another day and may we give it back to You by living this day to please You in all we do." I love ya folks... Pastor Dan.

Thur. Oct. 13, 2011 Promises 9

Even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work,
he shall not eat."

Good Family day Thursday, my dear brothers and sisters. Yes, schools day and families day on this line and we sure do need to be praying for both today. Please pray for our families for they indeed are falling apart. All too many sperm donors instead of husbands and fathers in the families, and all too many loose women who in a lot of cases have more babies just to get more welfare dollars. Folks, as you know, I try and tell it as God gives it to me, and even with that said, I tell it the way I see some of these things. Pray, warriors, pray for families. And folks, if people would just get solid with the Family of God, all else will work out.

As we pray today for families and schools, please pray also for Baby Boy Noah who has cancer, and also for this nation. It seems today that we have a lot of people hanging out in parks across this land, protesting for whatever. These people need to go home, get a shower and go GET A JOB. How would you like to be one who goes to work daily, works really hard, and you try to get out of your home to find people "going" on your lawn or property that you have worked so hard for, and they think you should share it with them? You go to work, work hard and then give most of it to them so they can SIT IN A PARK AND BEAT A DRUM ALL NIGHT SO YOU CAN'T SLEEP. Our Lord Jesus did not, does not and will not condone this type of living. This is
not loving God or loving your neighbor, this is pure hate.

Promises Day 9: 2 Thessalonians 3:10 - Even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, in the most part I have been writing about the promises of God that are, well, good for us, they are all positive. But God also made promises that deal with other things, things some do not want to hear about or talk about. Like the scripture of today. Very clearly it tells us this. If a man will not work, then the man should not eat. Now let me be very, very clear about this, we need to take care of the poor and the needy, those who CANNOT WORK, and there are many people out there who have been born with handicaps that prevent them from holding jobs, we have a lot of veterans who have been wounded in battle and who cannot work, and yes, some from accidents, etc. We need to take care of them, we need to help them all we
can. In doing this, oftentimes we have people who say they are disabled and we need to help them, no questions asked. God will sort it out in the end.

But today I did want to point out to those who might just be caught up in the ongoing money one could live on without going to work. I had one person who I know very well tell me this. "I know the system and how to use it."

Listen to this scripture:

2 Thessalonians 3:6 - In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching you received from us. 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you 8 nor did we eat anyone's food without paying for it. On the contrary, we
worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. 9 We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to make ourselves a model for you to follow. (NIV)

This scripture tells us as clearly as it gets, we need to be working for our Lord in all we do, even when it comes to getting a meal. So today as we look in the mirror I want all of us to ask ourselves, are we working for God, are we setting an example to others as to the way the Lord wants us to live for Him? I want you to think about this and you can quote me on this one, I say it often in prayer in the morning and today I am going to put it out as a quote from me... Yes, I have used it before... Here it is... "Lord, you have given me another day, may I give it back to You, by living to please You in all I do." And of course by now you know my other quote of the day... "Please go forth and share your blessings."

Dear Father in Heaven, I love You and yes, Lord, You have given us another day and I would like to give it back to You by living for You and to please You in all that I do. Thanks for the message of today and thanks for forgiving our sins, my sins, Lord. In the name of Jesus I ask that You answer our prayers according to Your will for us. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Now "Please go forth sharing your blessings" and remember this... "Lord, you have given me another day, may I give it back to You, by living for You and to please You in all I do." Folks, I love ya... Pastor Dan.

Wed. Oct. 12, 2011 Promises 8

He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and familiar with
suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces, He was
despised, and we esteemed Him not. Surely He took up our infirmities and
carried our sorrows yet we considered Him stricken by God smitten by Him and
afflicted. But HE WAS PIERCED FOR OUR TRANSGRESSIONS, HE WAS CRUSHED FOR
OUR INIQUITIES, the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him AND BY
HIS WOUNDS WE ARE HEALED.

Salvation Wednesday, Salvation Wednesday, our midweek time to talk about Salvation through our Lord Jesus, which is the only way for us to have Salvation. I want to make a statement to all of you this morning, and I want you to think about it.

First, I love Jesus with all my heart and soul and mind and I want to work for and with Him till the day He calls me Home. Next, I believe all that is in the Bible, I do not pick and chose, I believe it all. The Bible tells us that in six days God created the Heavens and the Earth, I believe it took six days. I do not say the days were longer or God's time was different, I believe it took six days. For some who believe one thing and not the other I ask them, how can you believe in Salvation Through Jesus if you don't believe it all? Next, I am BORN AGAIN and I do try my best to live for and like Jesus and yes, I mess up for I am a sinner saved by The Grace of Jesus...
I also love my family very, very much, but they come after Jesus, and folks, listen to this, YOU ARE ALL MY FAMILY. Some of us on this line have been together for over 15 years. Vicki is one of those who we have prayed for, for years. I love all of you dearly, and I appreciate you. I think you are my brothers and sisters and also our (Carry The Light Ministries) flock, just like our flock at The Bridges. What does that mean? It means this. I love all of you, each and every one of you, most I have never met.

Now why am I telling you this? Because if you are going to follow what I write you need to know where I am coming from. And folks, let me be very clear, I don't want you to follow me, I want you to follow Jesus. I get my messages from God and on most mornings when I come to the computer I do not know what God is going to give me. I might know the subject but not the
scriptures. Some days I need to just sit at the computer and wait upon the Lord. Dolores and I as most of you know ARE Santa and Mrs. Claus, no playing about this. Why would a Born Again, Bible Believing Pastor want to be Santa? So that when we talk to the kids we can, as we give them a toy, we can tell them about Jesus. I also proudly tell you that Dolores and I have never worked a "mall" as Santa because we cannot talk to the kids about Jesus, the real reason we have Christmas. Our mainstay as Santa and Mrs. C. has been for years and years at Allenberry Playhouse and Resort Inn. We get to greet people, pray with people and in fact most every
morning I pray with the owners of Allenberry. We have anointed people with oil. We get to sing songs of Christmas and not just about my beloved Rudy. I get to tell the Christmas Story, THE REAL ONE. Dolores, Mrs. C., plays the piano and I get to sing. Allenberry donates turkeys and hams for our Christmas Food Drive.

A few other things we in Carry The Light Ministries do is sing, most all done at retirement homes. I preach, I have married folks and I have done funerals. As you know, we pastor The Bridges of Bent Creek. We also have a very, very active food pantry serving well over a hundred families and some think this is just at Christmas, no, no we are open all year round. Why do we do all of this? We love Jesus! And we love those we call our neighbors. Oh, and we also love animals, and here is a count of what we have now. We have one rabbit, one chicken, five pigmy goats, one just five weeks old. We also have four cats that are ours, and a few more who stop by to eat. Right now we have twelve dogs, all house dogs, one is in our care as her mommy is in the hospital.

To do all this it takes a lot of work, and we have some Ministry Partners, plus a whole lot of workers... Dolores and I would like to thank all those who have sent us food for the pantry, dollars to purchase food, and even if you send a five spot, they add up. We also want to thank these Ministry Partners. Pamela Sue Bower, who has been with us since the very first day of the
Ministry, and in fact was with us as we picked the name. Pamela Sue is our Vice President of our 501c3 ministry. Also we want to thank Grant and Wanda Crockett, who have come on board with us, and work really hard with the ministry. They take care of the ministry property, our home, so it looks nice when people come for food. Yes, Carry The Light Ministries is Incorporated under the laws of our Federal Government as a 501c3 Corporation, and yes, your
donations can be deducted from your income taxes.

Folks, God told me this morning that you need to know what we do and how we work for Him. I really got off subject, but I need to make one other statement about our ministry and our ministry team. Our number one job for Jesus is to lead others to His feet so they also may be saved. All members of Carry The Light Ministry Team are Born Again, and yes, we are all
sinners, who have been saved by Jesus.

Folks, if you ever need prayer, you can email us and we will pray for you and list you for prayer... icarrythelight4God@msn.com

If you ever need to talk to someone about Jesus or anything else, maybe just having a bad day... You may call on us... our home/ministry phone is 717 691 8200 and my cell phone is 717 991 0754. Folks, when I say you may call day or night for prayer, I mean it or I would not say it. If you need help with food, call us, if you want to help by donating things to the ministry, call us. We have people we have helped who now got on their feet and now they help us. You may call. Again, you may call me on my cell phone at ANYTIME. I will do my very best to be here for you.

Now I went on and on about the ministry, and only want to say one thing about that scripture of today. God does heal, He really does, and I believe in God healing and all of us on the ministry team believe in the healing hand of God. We believe that Jesus is the same today as He was yesterday and He will be the same tomorrow. God is good, folks, and He has blessed us
well. None of us are rich in dollars, but we are rich in the love of God, and all of us in the ministry believe in sharing our blessings... Let me just close the day with a prayer.

Dear Father in Heaven, on this line that You have lent to us, we want to thank You for it, and we want to pray today for the salvation of the lost and I pray that You would use us to help bring in the lost, give us the knowledge and wisdom to work for You. Lord Jesus, I love You very much and I ask that today as You did yesterday, carry me as I work for You. Be with Dolores, Pamela, Wanda and Grant and with Carry The Light Ministries as we push forward in all of the work You have assigned to us. Help us with it, open doors for us, fill the shelves for us as some are very low. Lord, bring in those who need help, and let us help them in Your name. May we always
put their salvation even above the food that we give them in Your name. Now travel with us, and Lord, thanks for the rain today. I love You, Lord Jesus, and I pray in Your name. Heal those who are sick, and Lord, thanks for the good report on Dolores yesterday... Amen.

Now go forth sharing your blessings and loving on Jesus and your neighbors... and remember this please. I love ya, all of ya. Pastor Dan.
