December 9, 2010 Mr. Don Key 4

"Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me."

Good Morning. my dear brothers and sisters, it is cold, Brrrr, here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Today is families day and also schools day on the line, so please pray for all families, including the family in the White House, and pray for all the families on this line. Also pray for all schools and all that go through the doors or have their hands on the schools in anyway. Pray for the school bus drivers and the crossing guards also, as they are part of the schools family. Again I ask for prayers for Dolores. I know our good Lord is hearing our prayers, and will answer them in His time. However I am not going to stop praying. I do not know how she deals with all the pain she has. Also pray for God to give me strength to handle all of this while our mission to help others is in full gear. Just yesterday we received a "list" of names from Children in Youth. Thank you so much for your support with prayers, your coming to help, your donations of food and dollars. So you know that our bottom line with the ministry is salvation... The first sixty families coming for food on the 18th will receive a New Testament Bible, with the way to Salvation Marked...

Mr. Don Key 4: Matthew 21:1 - As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them, "Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. 3 If anyone says anything to you, tell him that the Lord needs them, and He will send them right away." 4 This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet: 5 Say to the daughter of Zion, 'See, your King comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.'" (NIV)

Well, folks, I really hate to brag about my great, great, great, well, you know, lots of greats here, but my old granddad and my old Uncle, I will call him old uncle Jack. I told you about my old grandpa, but today I just want to talk to you about my old uncle Jack and what he did. Again, He got to give Jesus a ride into the town of Jerusalem on what we have come to know as Palm Sunday.

You see those disciples found my old Uncle Jack, along with his mother, my old Aunt Sarah. I named her Sarah, because that was the name of the mother of the good looking, handsome gentleman who is writing about my family. I am stretching that good looking thing a tad, the man really needs a haircut and a shave, but that will not happen. Anyway, folks, those disciples found those two old donkeys just as Jesus said they would and they brought them to Jesus. Then it got really exciting, why, people put their cloaks on that little guy and then Jesus got on top of Him to ride him in. Again, we find that cross I talked about yesterday, the one on their backs and mine also. Do you carry the cross for Jesus? I do pray that you do! Again I think we got picked, we meaning my ancestors, to carry the Lord, and again I think because we are surefooted and give a nice smooth ride. I want to also point out to you that this donkey colt was never ridden before, meaning it was a virgin, so to speak, just like Mary who was transported by my old grandpa.

Oh, how the people loved Jesus back that day, why my old Uncle really had to be careful and surefooted as people were laying branches from the trees on the road and even put cloaks on the road, oh, how old Unk was careful not to stumble and dump Jesus. This was his first job and the most important job he ever had, in fact those two rides were the most important rides we donkeys ever gave and we have over the years done some really neat things. Old Uncle told of how the people cheered and shouted and he wanted all of those of us that came after him to know that cheering was not for him, not for the donkey colt, but for our Lord Jesus, yes, Jesus was and is and always will be Lord of all and that means us animals also. Jesus loves us all. Well, folks, I will talk to you again near Palm Sunday about those rides we gave to Jesus.

Tomorrow I will talk to you about other animals who might have been in that stable on that first Christmas. Now I am going to turn this back over to that old man we call Pastor Dan, or Santa this time of year. Pastor tells me he would love to have a tiny donkey just to show people the cross and let the kids pet it, but Dolores might put her foot down or might have something to say about that. Anyway, here is Pastor Dan.

I think the donkey said it all today, except to pray... so let's pray.

Dear Father in Heaven, please come and heal us from our sins and our hurts and ills, please, Lord, we give thanks in the name of Jesus for all You do for us, thanks for the messages this week, and please, Lord, guide my mind this coming Sunday when I preach on the donkey and His role in Your life. Lord, how You must love all animals for You saved them in the days of Noah. Lord, please bless families, all families including the family of God and the family in the White House. Bless also our schools and all who have anything to do with them. And Lord, help us all this season as we work to help those who have less then we... In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Now go forth and share those blessings... and when you see a donkey, check out the cross, and please as you walk in the light of Jesus, help, please help carry His cross. Love ya, Pastor Dan.
