You will hear of wars and rumors of war, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will raise against nation and kingdom against kingdom.
Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Tuesday and very cold, very cold here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. I have prayer requests in today for Pearl Borst and her family. Pearl is very frail and just needs God's loving touch and healing hand. Please pray for Patrick who is having surgery, and for Barbs who had a stroke. Also for Sharon who had a stroke. Please also keep our ministry partner, Pamela Bower's dog Toby in your prayers. Yes, folks, we pray for animals on this line. By the way, Jake who we prayed for has passed, and we look forward to seeing our pets in heaven.
Mr. Don Key: Matthew 24:6 - You will hear of wars and rumors of war, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will raise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. (NIV)
If you don't mind today, I am going to let Mr. Don Key sit and rest as I talk to you about something else. Today, December 7th, is the anniversary date of the bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. First I want to thank all the veterans of World War 2 and all other veterans of wars since then.
I don't remember anything about Pearl Harbor except what we learned in school and on the news each year. To most folks today it is just another day. Stop today and think about what happened and how many men and women gave their lives that day at Pearl Harbor and how many lost lives in that big war. As we look at the Bible and see it tells us, "You will hear of wars and rumors of war", think about it today, we are at war in Iraq and Afghanistan and rumors of wars in Korea and a few other places. And remember we are also sitting on a powder keg on that southern border with Mexico and the drug wars. Praise God for the men and women of our military, and today let's take time to remember them, and to pray for them, and when we see a person in uniform, be it Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, our National Guard, and also our Police and Firefighters, stop and shake their hands and say... THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY AND COMMUNITIES.
Let's pray... Dear Father in Heaven, you tell us not to be alarmed when we hear of wars and rumors of wars, but Lord, we are concerned, we really are. Our young men and women are being killed each day in wars. Lord, I pray today for peace, meaning, Lord, I pray today your return... Lord, please bless our veterans and our troops and keep them safe and bring them home safe and soon. Lord, may the wars end today and end in peace. Lord, I pray for healing for Pearl Borst and for a touch on her family. Watch over Patrick during his surgery, and be with Barbs and Sharon and heal them from their strokes. And Lord, please place Your hand on dear Toby, the beloved K-9 of Pam... and Lord, please, please heal my wife. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Now go forth and remember our country and what we have been through, remember December 7th and September 11th. And remember also to share your blessings. Love Ya, Pastor Dan.
