December 3, 2010 Joseph

Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly, but after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give Him the name of Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins."

Good Friday morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is very, very busy here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Old Santa, who works for Jesus, is tired and so is Mrs. Claus. Please keep Carry The Light Ministries, Dolores, Pamela (our ministry partner) and me in your prayers. Also pray for all those coming tomorrow to sort and pack food. We have a crew coming, and will have a lot of people working in a small area. We will be packing for about 80 families, our number right now that will be coming to pick up food is under that but still growing and we need to pack extras as we are getting calls daily for food. I went to the store the other day and ordered one hundred five pound bags of potatoes. They were on sale buy one and get one free, even at that that will cost over $150 dollars. Pamela also purchased New Testament Bibles for each family that comes for food.

Ok, enough about that, just pray for all and pray for those receiving the food. Please remember it is Friday and the day we pray for all those working in the fields of harvest for the Lord. I might add all those coming to help pack food are indeed work in the fields of Harvest. Also pray for Pastor Charles, for the Saylor family, and for Vicki. Vicki also has some friends who have cancer that need prayer and I do not have the names in front of me right now. Also please pray for Kathleen Sansoni. Kathleen and her husband were here last week and we prayed for her and anointed her with oil to be healed from cancer. Also please keep praying for Ron and Donna, Ron has cancer and is being healed by Jesus as I write this letter.

Ok, Gentlemen, today I speak more to you. First I want to tell all of you men that you are to be the head of your household, UNDER JESUS, and that means it is you who should be leading the charge to get the children to Sunday School and Church and teach them about Jesus. You are to be loving and kind and walk in the light of Jesus as you lead your family.

Ok, guys, you are engaged to a nice lady who you have never had sex with, this lady is a virgin and you know that and you love her dearly. Then you find out she is with child, how would you feel? You talk to her, and she tells you, "honest, I was not with another man, I was called upon by the Lord to have this baby who is going to save the world." How would you feel, upset at the least I would think. No way are you having a baby, and you have not laid with another man you might say, and after pacing you say to her, I want my ring back. Joseph had to make this choice and to consider what was going on. The Bible tells us he was about to divorce her quietly so as to save face for Mary. He was thinking of her when about to break off that pledge to be married or the engagement. (Wording was different in those days and at the time this happened Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph.) Then an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him all is ok and told him about Jesus. Ok, let's look at it again and ask you if you have ever had dreams? Of course we have all had dreams, but how do we filter them out? Most often when I dream, and oh, I should not say this, but in my dreams I am hunting a restroom, oh, I have looked and looked and looked and then not finding one, I would wake up in time to get to our bathroom. Have you ever tried to sort out a dream, what does it mean? The dream I just told you about was easy to sort out, but others, well, let me tell you that I have had the Lord speak to my heart during my sleep and tell me what to write about in the morning. Now listen to this folks.

Matthew 1:24 - When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

Ok, guys, that girl you are engaged to did get herself in the motherly way and you forgive her and decide you love her so much that you will still marry her regardless of what others say. But, but, but, would you be able to take her home and not have that relationship as Joseph did until after that baby was born? Tough questions that Joseph had to deal with. Well as we know, Joseph stayed on with Mary, and next week we are going to find out more about Mary and Joseph as we start the journey.

Now folks, on today's market many, many people get married to a person who already have children. I want to make a statement about that. First of all, you single men and single women with children remember this, as you might start dating again remember that when you think about another marriage, please do not just move someone in, remember the person you marry must take on your children. You need to pick a mate that will not just love you but love the children and you must also love their children, and if you are blessed as a couple with your own, meaning both of you in the marriage you have this, yours, mine, and ours. All must be treated alike and must be treated well. Be sure you are ready to raise someone's children before, before you marry.

Dear Father in Heaven, some really deep things today, please bless us by answering our prayers in our prayer list and please when we have second marriages and there are other children from other marriages, give us the knowledge, strength, and yes, by all means the love needed to treat all children the same. Help us to go forth now walking in Your light and doing what is right by You. Bless all who work for You and help others to get moving working for you. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
