Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me of my sins and help me to repent and work even harder to get nearer to You. On this our Salvation Wednesday, prepare us, oh Lord, to serve You by helping us to spread the Good News. Please be present at Young's UM Church, Lord, and help them with their program bringing in children and telling them about Jesus. Be also with Grant and Wanda and help them with their health issues. Please help me now with the daily message and to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I give honor and praise and place my prayers. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, one thing I am trying to do is write each day and have the messages be a tad shorter. Please pray for Pastor Bob and Young's UM Church as they keep working with release time from school to teach children about Jesus.
Salvation Wednesday: February 4, 2015: Jesus is Calling Us (Day Two)
Luke 2:8 - And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord. (NIV)
I want you to really be ready at all times to share the "Good News," and what is that Good News? It is Jesus, of course, and of course the Good News keeps getting better and better the more we learn about our Lord Jesus. In the scripture of today I have made bold a few key words. First the Good News. And then what was that good news? A SAVIOR! Also, and this is the best part, I think,, this Savior, who is Christ the Lord, has been BORN TO US, BORN FOR YOU AND FOR ME. Praise God, Praise God, Praise God. Amen and Amen.
I want to ask all of you this question. Do you have two birthdates? I am sure you know when you were born the first time, but do you remember your second birthdate? I have been born twice. The most important of my birthdates is the one that I do not remember the date, but I do know that I was for sure "Born Again." One way that might help you get the word out about Jesus is to ask people about their second birthdate. There are a lot of people who know "about Jesus" but do not really know Him. It does not make a difference where you go to church as far as getting into heaven. You can have all the religion that you can have. I was a United Brethren, a Lutheran, an Assembly of God, a United Methodist, an independent religious person, and not one of them can get me into heaven. There is not a religion out there that can get you into heaven, although I suggest you have a good church that teaches and preaches the Word of God. I want you to know that it is not religion that gets you into heaven, it is a relationship, and that relationship needs to be with Jesus. There is no other way to Heaven, not one, not this pastor or any other pastor, or priest. Jesus Christ is the one and only, and that is GOOD NEWS, the good news we need to be sharing daily. I am going to over the next few days point out other scriptures in the Bible that will show you about the Good News.
Dear Father in Heaven, I am so happy that I have a relationship with Jesus, and I want to share that relationship that I have with Jesus with others. Please help me with that. Please clear me of my sins. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Now go forth and share the Good News about your relationship with Jesus. Love ya. Please share my love with others.
