Sunday 2/8/15 Harvest 1

Dear Father in Heaven:  Thank You for having Your hand upon me daily.  Please forgive me of my sins and help me to repent and come nearer and nearer to You each and every day.  Today, Lord, I want to give You all honor and glory that Dolores woke this morning to tell me she feels better than she has for a long time.  The honor is all Yours, dear Lord.  Lord, Your healing hand on the eyes of our dear friend Ruby will be appreciated.  Touch her eyes, dear Lord, and give her sight.  Please also touch the eyes of our son Mark and protect his sight.  Please, Lord, touch Jan Enloe and clear her lungs.  Lord, please watch over our veterans, military, and all of our first responders and keep them safe.  Please, Lord, help people understand You and help all of us work on Your Harvest.  Please, Lord, help me now with the message and to get it dispatched.  In Jesus' Name, I pray.  Amen.

Brothers and sisters, thank you for all your prayers.  I forget just how many people read the messages until you all respond to a call for prayers.  Updates:  Dolores got up this day feeling better than she has for months, and we want to give all honor and glory to God.  As for me, I still hurt all over, but I am sure that nothing was broken.  I need to remember that my shoes go to the bottom and my head to the top.  As the truckers would say, keep the rubber on the road.  Our son Mark has glaucoma.  I have listed some new prayer requests, and I just listed them right in the prayer.  Daily ongoing prayers are needed for Ruby, Burt, Patsy, Pastor Carol, and others.  Jan Enloe is a pastor and wife of Pastor Phil Enloe out of Florida.  I ask that you all keep praying or us and for this line.  Let me get to the message.  Harvest!

Sunday:  February 8, 2015:  Harvest ( Day One)

Joel 3:13 - Swing the sickle for the harvest is ripe.  Come, trample the grapes for the winepress is full and the vats overflow.  So great is their wickedness!  (NIV)

Matthew 9:35 - Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.  36 When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.  37 Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field."  (NIV)

As you know, I request prayers often for our President and his family and we need to do that, but did you see the news this week how he TRASHED CHRISTIANS?  Over the years the term Christian has been the word used for all those who are not of another religion.  In other words, it was sort of Christian by default.  The name has gotten a bad rap, however, I think that is well-earned sometimes.  Let me explain that.

How many of us who call ourselves Christians are really "Christ-like," which is what is means?  I can mention more than one example of this, but I am going right to the top and list our President, Barack Obama, and while not wanting to judge him on making it into heaven, I am going to point out that you cannot be acting as he does and be a Christian.  While there have been many people over the years that have been murdered, this was never, and I said never, supported by our Lord Jesus Christ.  This morning Dolores and I were having church as we do each Sunday right in our living room.  About noon we had on Jimmy Swaggart and he mentioned about our President signing a funding bill for a spaceship to Mars.  He invited President Obama to be a passenger.  Of course he went on to say that if people get saved they will be able to get to heaven and look over all the planets from there.

I have two scripture today, one from the prophet Joel, and it talks about the Harvest.  While that talks about swinging the sickle, there is another great harvest that we need to discuss.  That is the harvest that is pointed out in Matthew.

In Matthew 9:37, in the words of Jesus, it tells us that "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few."  So as we talk for a few days about the harvest found in the book of Matthew, I want to ask you right up front, what are you doing to help with "The Harvest?"  I mean really, what if anything are you doing about helping with "The Harvest?"  If you are forwarding things about God that others wrote, that is good, but first be sure that they have pulled their information from THE BIBLE.  You should be doing this even with things I write.  Yes, please fact-check me.  And one other thing, if you write something, please do not at the bottom say that if you send this to ten people and a copy back to me you will receive special blessings.  Brothers and sisters, we are not in charge of the blessings, JESUS IS!!  While I could tell you that if you forward this you will be blessed, you will also be blessed if you do not forward it.  Jesus is in charge of the blessings and I can tell you right now if you are reading this you are blessed, for one thing, you are STILL BREATHING.  You can also see to read the message.  Speaking of which, I also send out a list in a larger print.  If you would like me to put your name on that list, let me know.

Anyway, it is Sunday and other than you who are pastors, did any others of you do anything to help with "The Harvest?"  Oh, and about the pastors, be sure that at the church you attend the pastor is using the Bible in a truthful way.  I am praying that God will give me daily messages, meaning seven days a week.  Time is running short and we need to get the message out.  "The harvest is  plentiful but the workers are few" and you, my dear brothers and sisters, are needed in the harvest field.

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for the message today.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Now, brothers and sisters, I would ask that if you have not been born again that you do that today, right now, please do not wait.  Will you pray with me today?

Dear Father in Heaven, today is my day and I want to be born again, I want to be saved by Your amazing grace.  I do believe in You and that You died on the cross and were risen from the dead.  I believe it and I ask that You forgive me of my sins and start me new and place my name in Your Book of Life.  In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Now go forth and share your blessings.  Love ya.  Please pass on the love.

Pastor Dan
