Good Afternoon, Father in Heaven: Thanks for letting me talk with You today, and thank You for listening. Yes, Lord, sometimes we talk to people who don't take time to listen to us. Oh, and Lord, please help me listen when You talk to me. Thanks for the sunshine today and thanks for Your Son today and everyday. Lord, please, if I have sinned, forgive me, and help me repent. Please keep watch over this line and all who use it in any way. Protect families and friends, Lord, and be with Your people. Please, Lord, intervene on a membership, Lord, You know what I am talking about. Lord, watch over those who must go out in the weather that is coming in. Lord, please may it blow out to sea, but Your will be done, Lord. Please help me today to get the message together and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: I pray you are really looking into the Lord's Prayer. I hope to wrap that up today and keep going on talking to God, for there are so many other ways to do that. It is a really beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Looks like we are going to get a tad more snow tomorrow. I just pitched an onion out into the yard, yes, on top of the snow. I want the snow tomorrow to cover my onion so I can call it, are you ready for this? The Onion Snow!! Anyway, if you are in bad weather, please remember that first inch of snow is the slippery inch. Now let me get to the message on Talking to God.
Saturday: February 28, 2015: Talking to God! (Day Four)
Matthew 6:9b - "Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen." (KJV)
Today, brothers and sisters, we are going to be looking at and talking about verse thirteen. Let's break it into two parts.
Matthew 13a - "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." We are praying and asking our Father in Heaven to NOT lead us into places or things of temptation. Surely I could find enough of those places of temptation on my own, why would I ever think God might lead me there? For that I want to go to James.
James 1:2 - Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (NIV)
My answer would be, yes, I think there are times that God will lead us into temptation, otherwise, why would we be told to pray asking God not to lead us there? And with my answer from James, we are to consider it PURE JOY when it happens. Then that line goes on to say "but deliver us from evil." We again are praying and asking to be delivered from those places or things of evil. So when we put it together, what might we be really thinking? I am thinking like this, if I am into a place of temptation, be God lead me there or just left me go, I am then asking, Lord, get me out of here,I can't handle it. I know of a man, now home with the Lord, that at one time was hard, not saved, and used some really hard words. This man went to the same restaurant everyday at the same time for breakfast and coffee. He told those jokes, and things that were bad. Then it happened, he fell in love with Jesus, he found Jesus, who was not lost, but this man found Him. He went right back to that same restaurant and sat on that same stool at the counter, told everyone he found the Lord and he did not want to hear all those bad things anymore. From there, he went on to lead others to the Lord. His faith was tested over and over again as he worked with the Lord.
There are many people who could testify that they went back to those places of temptation and worked to get others out. If that has happened to you, please tell me about it and if I can share it with others. God will carry us through, He really will. Now let me finish up with the last part of verse thirteen.
Matthew 6:13b - "For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."
Here we are just telling our Father in Heaven that we know it is all His. For Yours is the Kingdom, You are the all powerful One. And we want You to have ALL THE GLORY. And how long will The Kingdom be His? And how long will He have all the power? And how long should He receive the glory? FOREVER! And that I guess is why some people will be praying forever and ever and ever. One way or the other, it goes on FOREVER. And to quote a song, and that's a long, long time.
One word left. It is the word "AMEN." This word is used at the end of a prayer or a statement to express approval. It is a closing and when you add it to anything you are expressing your approval. I have heard people talking about different things when someone else will say "Amen, brother" or something like that. When a pastor is praying in church and you add an "Amen" you are approving of what that pastor just said in his prayer. Sometimes a person leading a prayer will say something like "and all God's people said: Amen."
Now I said that there is something else we need to add to our prayers. Do you know what that might be? No, I am not telling you this now, I want you to think about it and let me know what you think and why. Okay, as we have done all week as we learned this prayer, let's pray it together.
Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya.

Friday 2/27/15 Talking to God (3)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Thank You for letting me talk to You today, and thanks for taking time to listen. Lord, I am just a sinner saved by Your grace, and I really do appreciate that You went to the cross for me and not just me but for all of us. Lord, Vicki needs Your touch this day. She has been told if she gets near smoke she will die. Please protect her from that second-hand smoke. Lord, we have folks on this line who need Your touch on their eyesight, on hearing, to just get around. Lord, I pray today for those in authority over us here in the United States. I pray today for all those who suffer depression, and I pray for those who have turned and walked away from You. Please be with all those who work for You and I pray that all pastors in their messages this week will preach the real truth as found in Your Holy Word, our Bibles. Thanks for trusting me enough to work and write for You, and yes, I need Your help now with the daily message and to get it dispatched, so Lord, please help me with that. In Jesus' Wonderful Name, I pray. Amen.
My dear brothers and sisters: Can you believe that February is just about finished? It seems just like yesterday that those people were out in the rain and cold watching a groundhog trying to tell the world what God is going to do. I guess people just need something, an excuse maybe, to justify having a party and getting drunk. Please pray today for Vicki. Vicki is a long-time warrior on this line and has many health issues. Please, warriors, pray for our country and pray for the safety of all Christians, and really pray for those who are missionaries working in foreign countries. Also pray, really pray, for the unsaved, and pray hard for those who are coming after you, more than likely some will even call themselves Christians, but in reality they are not real followers of Jesus. Worldwide, in America, in our home states and even in our own homes, Satan is trying to get a foothold. Stand firm, brothers and sisters, stand firm, for in the end, in the very end, WE WILL WIN!!! Now let me get to the message, and we are still working on "Talking to God and The Lord's Prayer."
Friday: February 27, 2015: Talking to God! (Day Three)
Matthew 6:9b - "Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.
Today, dear brothers, we will start with verse eleven, "Give us this day our daily bread." As Jesus is teaching us this prayer, we know He is also setting an example for us. Give us this day our daily bread, we are taught to pray. Here is an example of how not only God is hearing this prayer and answering this prayer, He is giving us so much more than what we are asking for. Think about it, how long has it been since you have had just bread? In some countries, people would be happy to have a few more crusts of bread, but in America we have been blessed to have so very much. Think about it. Just this morning when I woke, I made coffee and put some really good bread into the toaster. Then when the toast came up, I laid a layer of butter on it that would have been enough to butter a loaf of toast. So often we just take our "Daily Bread" like it is something we should have. It is our right to have bread. Shame on us, shame on us, and then so often we don't even say thanks. Let's work also on verse twelve today.
"And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors." Forgive us our debts, and that could say trespasses or sins. The word "debts" is meaning our moral debts. I do wonder just how many people when praying think in this prayer we are asking God to forgive us of those credit card debts, etc. So let's go over this first part of verse twelve. Forgive us our debts, our sins, our trespasses, and we are asking God to wipe our slate clean. That is what we are praying. But wait, are we really praying for a clean slate? Listen now as we add in the second part of verse twelve. AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS. Yes, I made that big and bold and underscored it. What are we praying here? We are asking God to forgive us just the same way we forgive others. Oh my, are we in trouble here? Yes, I asked that question, are we in trouble here? If we do not have a forgiving heart when it comes to forgiving others, how do you expect God is going to forgive us? Just today, just today I had to ask Dolores to forgive me because I yelled at her. I really did, and I was out of line. What happened was not her fault, it was mine, and I asked her to forgive me. And she did. Sadly, she might not forget it for a long time, but she forgave me right away. You need to have a forgiving heart. One thing we do not want to do is keep going back over and over again asking God to forgive us of our sins of years and years ago. Sometimes we must just forgive people who have hurt us without bringing it up to them. We do not need to run to them and say, I am forgiving you and I want you to know that. No, just forgive them and then put it to rest. Don't bring it up again and again. Why not? Well, once you ask God to forgive you and He does, He will not hold that over your head again and again. God will not say to you, after He has forgive you, do you remember when you did this or that? When you come to God and ask Him to forgive you, He will know if you have forgiven others. You see, God knows us inside and out. He knows our hearts. So today, please ask yourself, am I holding back forgiving someone who did something against me? Brothers and sisters, let it go, let it go. I SAID LET IT GO, and forgive them, and know that God will forgive you. Then it is a done deal. Look at it one more time. "And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors." Okay, that is it for this day. And as we have been doing in this series, we have been closing with this great and wonderful prayer that our Lord Jesus taught us to pray. Please think about what you are praying.
Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen
Now go forth and share your blessings and stay warm. Love ya. Please share God's blessings and mine also.

Thursday 2/26/15 Talking to God (2)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Thanks for another great day, and thanks for watching over us. Please, Lord, keep watching over those on this line and their families, and thanks for watching over the line. Please, Lord, be with our military, first responders, police, and all who are working to protect us. Lord, please keep watch over all those who must be working out in the weather. Lord, as You look after those who are Born Again, please apply that same protection over those non-believers and help us have more time to reach them in time to get them to Your feet to be saved. Lord, please be with all those who have memory problems and cause that disease to be stopped. Please, Lord, help me now with the message and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Good evening, brothers and sisters. Each day I sign off "Love ya." I want you to know that is not just a closing, I really do love all of you. I can truthfully say that, and a lot of you I do not know. I will also say this, more than anything or anybody, I LOVE JESUS FIRST. If you truly love Jesus above others, tell that to Jesus and also the others. It was a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole and I pray that it was that way where you are. Time to get to the message, Talking to God.
Thursday: February 26, 2015: Talking to God (Day Two)
Matthew 6:9b - "Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.
Yesterday I brought you up-to-date on why once again I am writing about the Lord's Prayer. Yesterday we covered Matthew 6:9b. Today we will start with verse 10.
Matthew 6:10 - Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. (KJV)
When we are praying, the "Thy" we are talking about here is God. My NIV words the prayer like this: "your kingdom come, your will be done." Now as much as I like my NIV study Bible, one thing I do not like is they do not use the capital letter when talking about God. If you were praying or writing the prayer and used the line I just quoted about, it should have been written like this. Your kingdom come, Your will be done. One way or the other, when we are praying this verse, we are indeed saying it is God's kingdom and then more so, and listen to me here, we are indeed saying to God to bring on His kingdom. "Thy kingdom come." We could be praying in our own prayers like this: Come on back, Jesus, come on back. Then in the same line we are praying, Thy will be done. Not our will, Lord, but Your will be done. Yesterday I used this verse to show you that Jesus prays to the same Father in Heaven we do. Here again I am going to that verse.
Matthew 26i:39 - "My Father, if it is possible may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but AS YOU WILL." (NIV)
So what are we praying? We are praying that above all else, above even what we are asking for ourselves in any of our talks with God, we are saying for His will to be done. And I will tell you right here and now that His will is always better for us. We might not like it, but He has a plan for us. He knows what is best in the long term. For a lot of us we cannot see beyond the end of our nose, although that could be a lot longer for some than others. I just slipped a joke in there to see if you are awake.
Verse 10 - "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."
Here is the really neat part. We are asking His will to be done for us the same here on earth as we expect it to be in Heaven. Like just saying to God, please be the same with me now as when I make it to heaven. Yes, Lord, please make my earthly home heavenly. The thing I want you to really think about is it should be His will be done for us in all things, not just when we pray this wonderful prayer. Okay, that is good for today. Let's pray the prayer again today and really pray it.
Love ya. And please share your love with everybody and my love also.

Wednesday 2/25/15 Talking to God (1)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You, and I really appreciate You and I really appreciate the beautiful day You sent to us on this our Salvation Wednesday. All honor and glory to You for the great news on the release time program. Please, Lord, please keep blessing Pastor Bob and his flock from Young's Church. Lord, prayers for another one who needs work. Lord, thanks for opening a door for me to witness in the doctor's office today. Lord, please protect Your children around the world, and please help us to get Your Word out to the unsaved. Thanks for blessing the message of our guest writer. Now, Lord, please help me write the message and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Salvation Wednesday again, my dear brothers and sisters. The time to work even harder to get the message out about our Lord Jesus. It indeed was a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Carry The Light Ministries has many outreaches, and we just received a great report on the one where children are released from public school and transported to a local church for some good Bible Study. Brothers and sisters, we can still get the Word of the Lord to school kids, we just need to keep working harder at it. Over the next few days and it might even take a week, that will be what all God gives me on the subject, but we are going to be talking about praying, or in my words "Talking to God." I am going to start out with the Lord's Prayer and go through that. So for a few days we will be using the same scripture. Yes, I have written about this before, but this will be a fresh look. Ready?
Salvation Wednesday: February 25, 2015: Talking to God (Day One)
Matthew 6:9b - "Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen." (KJV)
For those who are new to the line, let me background you on this a tad. Years and years ago I was a lay leader at Hope United Methodist Church, and Pastor Rick Denison was away and I was preaching. When I had the bulletin made up I did not have the words to the Lord's Prayer printed in that bulletin. When we went to pray, I offered the prayer, closing with the Lord's Prayer which was done every Sunday. Well, wouldn't you know it, I forgot where I was and so did everyone else, except for Miss Kim (Kim Murphy) who at that time was the minister of music. She bailed me out and got me back on track. It was then God first planted on my mind that we were not praying this prayer, we were just saying it. So God planted on my mind that I needed to write about it. Fast forward to the other day. I had just finished praying with Dolores and I decided to close with the Lord's Prayer. Guess what, I forgot it again. So it is back to the books. I talked to God about it and He planted on my heart it was time for a refresher course on this wonderful prayer. So we will take a fresh look, not looking back to what I write before. So if you are ready, I am. Let's get started. We are just going to look at a verse or two each day.
Matthew 6:9b - "Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name."
"Our" means us, you and me, and I want you to think about this. Jesus is also included in the word "Our" for indeed the Bible is quoting Jesus.
"Father" - This is our Heavenly Father we are praying or talking to. Again, Our Father in Heaven is also the Father of Jesus. For this I want to reference this scripture:
Matthew 26:39 - Going a little farther, He fell with His face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as You will." (NIV)
This was Jesus praying or talking to His Father the night before He was put to death on the cross. This occurred at Gethsemane. Now back to the Lord's Prayer.
"Which art in Heaven." This line or phrase is just telling us where Our Father resides. Since we have earthly fathers, and in some religions the pastors are addressed as "Fathers," this brings right to the point who we are praying to or talking to. Yes, we are praying to Our Father in Heaven and not our earthly father or religious leader.
"Hallowed" means "to make or set apart as holy; sanctified and/or consecrated." I am quoting on t his from the American Heritage Dictionary.
"Be Thy Name." Here we are talking about His name being Hallowed, the Name of "Father." Okay, that to me now just describes who we pray to or talk to. Now while Jesus goes right to Our Father, we need to approach our Father in Heaven a tad differently, just a tad. Do you want to offer up an answer how it is different? I will bring it out at the end of this series. Now since we are learning this prayer, I think we should close with it each day. So please pray with me now, and yes, please pray the prayer.
"Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Amen."
Now go forth and share your blessings and maybe also this wonderful prayer. Love ya.

Amen."
Now go forth and share your blessings and maybe also this wonderful prayer. Love ya.

Wednesday 2/25/15 God's Co-Pilot
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for watching over this line, and thank You for this special blessing. Please bless this message, the writer, and his family. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, about a week or so ago, I was writing on the subject of Keeping Safe and how God keeps us safe but we also need to have feet on our prayers to help God keep us safe. Well, I can write about keeping safe here on the ground, but when it comes to putting an airplane in the sky, I do not have a clue as what to do. So I called on a dear friend of mine, Charles Wotring, whom I met through the Museum of Bus Transportation. Knowing Charles and his wife Janet, I believe them to be "saved." Charles has a long history in aviation and is a "safety nut" (my term for someone who has great concern for his vessel and those on board.) When I managed a school bus fleet, safety was our number one concern. I told drivers they could not go back for another load of kids if they smashed the first load, and I often used eggs as an example, as in if you break a dozen eggs you can go get more. The passengers in an aircraft, like a bus, cannot be replaced. I do not know how often Charles might have called upon the Lord to take him out of trouble, that is a personal thing between God and him. So using this scripture I will send this along with my blessing. Charles refers tome as "Driver Dan."
Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with WINGS AS EAGLES; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (King James Version)
--------------------
Hello there, Driver Dan,
"Looking at the big picture the most dangerous part of flight ... accident wise ... is the take-off and landing arena ... On the ground ... unauthorized airplanes on or crossing an active runway when another airplane in taking off or landing ... especially at night. This will be addressed in another message.
Concerns of the flight crew (not including the cabin/flight attendants) starting after the Flight Attendants close the cabin door.
1. Engine start ... Hot start or a fire. A hot start is when the engine exhaust rises rapidly (first indication) meaning faster than normal and quickly reaches a maximum allowable temperature. The corrective action is to abort the start ... WITH HASTE! If the fire warning system is activated you have a big problem and a restart is not permitted until maintenance staff evaluate the situation. If there was no fire warning ... the situation could have been caused by a high tail wind and the airplane could be towed and positioned with the nose headed more into the wind.
2. Once the engines are running, seldom do serious safety problems ... other than with other airplanes, occur during ground operations. This statement does not address systems being checked or monitored (watched) by the flight crew ... which sometimes require the airplane to return to the gate if certain parameters are not met.
By the way, anytime the airplane is moving on the ground or once cleared for takeoff ... and operations below 10,000 feet, the cockpit is sterile. This means no talking about anything not having to do with the flight operation at hand. This aviation term has nothing to do with the birds and the bees of the gender of the persons on the flight deck.
Looking ahead ... discussion will concern the actual take-off from being cleared to take off ...
A BIG CONCERN IS FIRE! A fire warning ... which is a bell and fire warning light. This is the time the flight crew dreads ... because a fire is a danger which may not be controllable and may be a good time to follow the procedures and add in a prayer ... I never experienced this situation in real life so I cannot share with anyone what my feelings were.
The procedure of a fire warning, on the ground or in-flight is ...
1. Coordinated identification of what engine is having the problem ... between who all is up front ... and silence the fire bell and resetting the master warning system so it is ready for the next problem you hope you do not have.
2. Next ... The power level (throttle) is retarded to flight idle and you want to see the fire light go out. If the light went out it warning indicated an overheat condition in the engine pod between the actual engine and cowling ... in which case the engine is usually left running in the idle position. Since the flight is not over yet,it could come to pass a sick engine may save the day if something happened to the other one or ones, as the case may be.
There are so many gauges/instruments it is not possible to monitor all of them all of the time ... so there are a multitude of oral warnings (tones, other electronically generated sounds), and lights with even some lights which tell the crew there is another light or gauge to look at. Flying today in a modern jet aircraft is more a management task than flying by the seat of your pants like 50 or more years ago.
3. If it stays illuminated ... position the power level to cut off (shut down) and you want to see the light go out.
4. If it stays lighted, pull the fire handle which isolated all systems going to and from the engine ... and you want the light to go out.
5. If the light stays illuminated send the first fire extinguisher ... and you want to see the light go out ...
6. If the light stays lighted ... send the second fire extinguisher ...
7. If the light stays on ... you either have a big problem or there was a malfunction in the overheat and fire warning system.
While all of the above is going on with the normal 2 pilot crew up front ... the pilot flying, is heading to an appropriate airport after either he or the other pilot alerted Air Traffic Control of the emergency.
Bottom line is knowledge, training, testing and a plan discussed before each take-off so everyone involved is on the same page, so to say.
Some pilots can go through their entire career and not have had to handle a serious in-flight problem. Modern day airplanes properly maintained are much more reliable than airplanes of 50 years ago. Back in the day when a United States certificated Air Carrier flew over big bodies of water (the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans) they used four (4) engine piston powered airplanes. Today two (2) engine jets are predominant.
Observations:
1. I enjoyed a primary career in aviation ... starting out as a heavy jet airplane mechanic in the USAF then becoming a pilot ... flying, teaching and evaluating ... for over 30 years. Highest profile passengers ... President Johnson, Lady Bird and the girls.
2. By the way, the highest rating the FAA has is the Airline Transport Rating. The test for this rating is even more stringent than any military flight test, even for pilots flying Air Force One. If a US registered airplane weights over 12,500 pounds ... and is used in certificated airline service, the Pilot in Command holds an ATR and a type rating for that specific make and model airplane.
--------------------
Now I am back. I know a few more are coming and I might have another here to send. This will be an addition to my daily writing. I hope you enjoy these writings of Charles Wotring. By the way, the Wotrings are owners of "Royal Coach" and sell all kinds of bus things.

Tuesday 2/24/15 Working (3)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Thanks for forgiving me of my sins and taking us through this very cold day. Lord Jesus, please place Your hand of protection around all those who Satan is trying to attack. I see it going on around the world and right in our own backyards. I confess to You, Lord, that I do not understand it all, and I am so happy You are in charge. Help us to learn to cast our burdens to You and not take them back. Please comfort those who are hurting today, be it physical or mental or so many other ways. Please protect our leaders in Washington and in our State Capitals across these great United States. Please have Your hand upon veterans, active military, police, and firefighters. As I look across the nation and even the world, help me and all of us to count our blessings and help us know that regardless how badly we think we have it, out there in the cold there are so many others who are a lot worse off than us, than me, dear Lord. Please watch over this line, help me with the daily message and to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, it was a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole, although cold, with a record low of -4. I am thankful that we have heat in our house. I have been blessed all my life by living places where the potty is indoors. I know some even on this line had the potty outside. I don't even want to think about sitting in that old outhouse at temperatures we have had this year. I watched on the news the other day as firefighters tried to fight fire with ice all over them. Maybe this is a really good time to remember just how blessed we really are. Okay, it is getting late and I do want to get this message out. This will be the last day for Working, and the good Lord has already given me the next subject. I have written on it before, but time to do a remake or start over. What is the subject? The Lord's Prayer. Today I went to pray the Lord's Prayer and could not remember it. So if I can't remember the words, how can I remember what it means? Lord's Prayer, coming tomorrow, unless the Lord changes the subject for me. I try and listen to what He wants me to do as I want to be obedient to Him. Okay, off to Work on Working.
Tuesday: February 24, 2015: Working (Day Three)
Luke 10:5 - "When you enter a house, first say, 'Peace to this house.' 6 If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you. 7 Stay in that house, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the WORKER deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house." (NIV)
Today we look at the Words of our Lord Jesus as He was sending out His disciples. It would be good to read Luke Chapter 10 to help you understand this better. Jesus is telling His workers what to do. When they enter a house they are to give the people a blessing, "Peace to this house." So as you stop by a friend's house you might say t those who you are going to see, God's blessings and Peace to all those in our house. What might they think of you? Do you really care? You are giving God's blessings to them. They can accept that blessing or turn it away, just like they have a choice to pick up the Gift of Salvation that we have talked about. If the people in the house do not accept that blessing, you will get it back, and you have it to share again and again.
Now this might not just be a house, it could be a workplace or any other place today where you want to give God's blessings. Now let's look at verse 7, "Stay in that house eating and drinking whatever they give you." What you are receiving is your wages for Jesus tells us the WORKER DESERVES HIS WAGES. But at the same time, we are told not to move around. An example might be that someone comes to your house for dinner, and when they arrive you ask them, what are you serving for dinner? You tell them, we are making hot dogs on the grill. Then they get to thinking, I can leave here and go to Joe and Mary's house, maybe they are serving something better than hot dogs. So you make up an excuse and leave. Jesus warns us against that. We should be happy with what is put before us. We are not to be running about looking for something different, we are to stay there. Well, that is not always easy, but no place in our Bible does it tell us that when we really follow Jesus it will be easy. No, all too often when You follow that Word of Christ and you become "Born Again" Satan will come after you even harder. Next scripture.
Colossians 3:22 - Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to win their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is no favoritism. (NIV)
I invite you to read Colossians 3:18 to the end of chapter 3. These are the rules for a Christian household. We in America do not have slaves anymore. Praise God for that and for President Lincoln. But we still must work, and I have heard the term and I am sure you have - "This guy is a slave driver." What is the Bible telling us here? The way God is giving it to me is this. In all things we do today, be it around our homes where we do not get paid money or out in the work force someplace, work everyday as if you are doing what you do for the Lord. Please remember that the bottom line is we are indeed working to serve the Lord. I know a lot of places where as soon as the boss leaves, some of the work stops, while others keep right on working. Which one fits you? I know this because I owned my own business and also was a supervisor for others. When the "cat's away the mouse will play." We who are Born Again work for the Lord. It makes us different in so many ways from other workers, some of whom even say they know the Lord.
Although we need a good wage here on earth, what as Christians are we really working for? To show our love for Jesus and for the rewards we get once we get to heaven. Remember we cannot work our way into heaven but once we are in, those rewards we will get, well, let me put it this way. "They will be heavenly."
One last scripture, and I will keep it short.
2 Thessalonians 3:10 - For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule. "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." (NIV)
For all of you who go to work each day, enjoy your food. For those of you who are able-bodied and just will not go to work, the Bible tells you you should not eat. Today so many people need help because they are poor and we need to help those who just cannot make it, but who are really trying. We also need to help those who CANNOT WORK. But we do have a whole class of people who just will not go to work and the more our government hands out food, the more people will not go to work.
Bottom line, go to work each day with Jesus helping you, some days will go better than others, but remember we are God-fearing Christians who work for the King, the King of all Kings, The Lord Jesus. "Go get one for God."
Time to ask you if you really know Jesus in your heart. If you don't, will this be the day? Will you pray with me this prayer of Salvation?
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please come into my heart today. I confess I am a sinner and believe in Your forgiving grace. I do believe you died on the cross and were risen from the dead. Please place my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. I want to be Born Again right now. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth sharing your blessings, working for Jesus, and know that He really loves you. I love ya also. Please share our love with others.

Please place my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. I want to be Born Again right now. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth sharing your blessings, working for Jesus, and know that He really loves you. I love ya also. Please share our love with others.

Monday 2/23/15 Working (2)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very much, and I really appreciate You more and more each day as I am learning more and more each day how You help me and all others who ask in faith for help. Please be with the family of Dale Whissler who we have learned to know as the toy man. Lord, we give You the honor and glory for Dale and his wife who made hundreds and hundreds of wooden toys for Carry The Light Ministries. Please be with Kyle Busch and heal his broken bones. Thanks for watching over this line and thanks for watching over families and friends. Please, Lord, watch over Matthew, wherever he may be. Thanks for safety when plowing, Lord. Please help me with the message and to get it dispatched. Lord, please be in our malls and keep them safe. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters. Please pray for the family of Dale Whissler. Dale was known as the Toy Maker to us and many of his friends. He had a crew of plain folks who would get together and make toys out of scrap lumber. Over the years we received hundreds and hundreds of them. They were so plain and so simple. Most kids who came to see Santa did not want them, they wanted expensive things. We sent a lot of ours to the mission fields and Dale and crew also gave many thousands to Mission Central to go to the poor countries. After Grant and Wanda painted up a few, we started giving them to kids to use as crafts, then the kids liked them. They painted some and put them Christmas Trees. We only have a few left, some we will keep with our treasured things in Santa's House. Well, let me get to the message on Working.
Monday: February 23, 2015: Working (Day Two)
Ephesians 2;8 - For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. (NIV)
This was our scripture from Saturday where I told you that you cannot work your way into heaven. You can only get to heaven through Jesus. However, once you are saved, once you are Born Again, you must go to work for Jesus. Did I get you confused? Am I talking out of both sides of my mouth? NO!!! So to the scriptures to prove my point.
Ephesians 2:10 - For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do GOOD works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (NIV)
So I used the example of working around the church will not get you into heaven. However, after you have taken Jesus as your Savior, He might well send you to a church to work and get your word out. You see, to find out exactly what God really wants you to work at for Him, you must come to Him first. Here is some scripture from James:
James 2:14 - What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds (works)? Can such faith save him? 15 Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself is dead. 18 But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds. Show me your faith without deeds (works), and I will show you my faith by what I do." (NIV)
So what must you do to show your faith? Pray about it, God will put you where He wants you to be. I might as well use Dale Whissler as an example. He loved Jesus. So how do I know this? Well, those of you who know me know I come right out and ask. "Mr. Whissler, are you "Born Again?" I asked and he told me yes, he was. Making all those toys for the joy of the children all over the world was great, but without Jesus, he would not be with Jesus today. But because of his faith in God, God used him and even supplied him with the tools to get the job done. Brothers and sisters, that is one way of knowing you are working for Jesus for He will not send you out without giving you the tools to get the job done.
James 2:26 - As the body without the Spirit is dead, so faith without deeds (works) is dead. (NIV)
So brothers and sisters, if you want to get to heaven, you must be "Born Again" and then go to work for Him. Oh, and when does one retire from working for the Lord? Well, you don't, you work for Him until He calls you home. It is also not hard to work for our good Lord. Sometimes it is just a nice kind word or sharing your lunch with someone who forgot theirs. If you really love Jesus, people will see that love on your face. Yes, lots of people will hate you for that smile, for that love of Jesus and those outspoken things you might do, but please don't stop doing them. You know when you have a cold or fever, you try not to spread that. Yes, if you are contagious with disease, you do not want to spread it. However, as a Christian, one who follows Jesus, which is the only way to be a Christian, you need to be "contagious" and let others CATCH JESUS FROM YOU. Amen.
Dear Father in Heaven. I love You and I pray that I can be contagious in that love for You. One way on this line is to keep going forward with Your Word and asking people if it is their day to come to You. So, Lord, I am going to keep doing that. Dear Father in Heaven, I pray others will pray this prayer in faith with me. I do believe in You, Lord, and I confess I am a sinner and I confess that with my mouth and I believe that in my heart. Please save me and then put me to work for You. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings and be contagious for Jesus. Let someone "catch Jesus from you." Love ya. Please share my love also.

Saturday 2/21/15 Working (1)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very much. Please forgive me of my sins and help me daily to be nearer to You and to follow You even better than the day before. Please, dear Lord, watch over all those who are having severe weather and please keep them safe. Thanks for our warm home, and please protect it and protect all of us who will be going out to clear streets and parking lots. Be with all those who must work out in the weather and keep them safe. Protect your critters that live outdoors. Please watch over our nation, and be with all those who work hard to protect her. Be with our president and all of our military units regardless of where they serve. I praise You, Lord, that You are in control. Please help us to take one day at a time. Help me with the message and to get it dispatched. Lord, thank You for the call from Pastor Phil. It helped me so much. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, it is cold here at the Southern Location of the North Pole, and it is snowing again. Please send prayers to our Lord for those who are so much worse off than we are, and yes, you can pray for us also. I want to get started with the next series that should tie into our last series. I do want everyone to know that I am still going to end each day with that prayer of salvation. Never know when someone is ready to give it all up for Jesus. For me, I like to renew each day, so each day I confess my sins to the Lord. Please cover me with prayers as I am out plowing tonight.
Saturday: February 21, 2015: Working (Day One)
Ephesians 2:8 - For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. (NIV)
Everyday people get up and go to work, school, or someplace, good loving people who help many others. They live a great life, they really are good people. They have not been involved in rime. Some even go to church, and they work around the church, they cook in the kitchen, they stay and wash dishes, they clean the church, and they do great things like that at their church. They are doing all this work expecting to get into heaven. Of course, regardless of how good you are we all sin. However, they missed one important thing. You cannot work your way into heaven. You just cannot do that. Why? So once people get to heaven no one can boast about how they got in. Our scriptures tell us that to get in we just need to accept this free gift.
What is this free gift? Jesus!! You must accept the gift of God. This free gift of God must be claimed. You see the gift is for everyone. The free gift from God is Salvation and it is Jesus and what He did for us. As you can see in Ephesians 2:8, we are saved by grace through faith and not from ourselves. We cannot EARN Salvation, we just can't. So if we can't earn it, or work for it, what then must we do? We need to believe, really believe in our Lord Jesus. And we need to confess that we believe.
A gift of any type really needs a giver and a receiver. If someone gives you a gift, let's say of something you really do not like ... so after this person who gave you the gift leaves, you just take that gift and throw it into the trash and it goes into the trash. So let's see, God gives us Jesus, who dies on the cross for us, is risen from the dead, and all this to forgive us of our sins, and we never take the free gift, we do not pick it up. What's worse is some people even "trash" the gift of God, they "trash" Him by doing a lot of things against Him.
In the next few days we will be talking about working and working for God. Oh, yes, we will go over that, for we must work for God, but we do need to accept Him. Sounds confusing, but it really is not. So here is my question for today. Have you picked up your free gift yet or are you just leaving it lay? While you do not need to get on your knees to pray and accept Jesus as your Savior, it seems to me when something is being picked up, oftentimes it is on the floor. So why not just get on your knees tonight and ask Jesus to come into your heart through the power of the Holy Spirit? Lots more coming this week on working. Let's pray:
Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive me of my sins and wash me clean. I do believe that You were born of a virgin mother, walked this earth, were killed on the Cross and were risen from the dead. I believe that in my heart and confess it with my mouth. Please save me now, Lord. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Jesus loves you, loves you so much He died for you. I love you also. Please share the love of Jesus and mine also.
Love ya, Pastor Dan

Wednesday 2/18/15 Keeping Safe (3)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You very, very much. Please, dear Lord, forgive me of my sins and thank You for doing that for me. Dear Lord, please be with Andy and his family as all of them are sick. Please be with those on the highway as the weather is once again going through. Please, Lord, help us all to appreciate what we have and to learn to look around us at what others do not have and help them. Please, Lord, help me to be able to read and understand what I have read. Lord, I want so much to read a complete book and I struggle to do that. Thanks for opening Your Word to me and letting me work for You writing the daily message. Please, Lord, be with all those folks in Boston, and help us just get through the cold. Protect pipes from freezing and again watch over those working in the cold. Lord, please help us to lead others to You on this our Salvation Wednesday. Please help me now with the daily message and to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Good Salvation Wednesday, my dear brothers and sisters, and yes, I am getting the message out in the evening when Salvation Wednesday is about gone. Same rules apply daily. Please, warriors, pray for Andy Bendzin and his family as they all have been sick. I know some of you know this, but I do not know how many. I cannot read and understand what I have read. I can read the daily paper, however, if the article is long, I cannot even finish it. Sad to admit, I have never read a complete book in my life. I get through a few pages and I do not understand what I read. My marks in school showed just that. My report cards looked like I took the submarine course, as my marks were below "C" level. When I went to school, a "D" was passing. When studying to get my driver's license, I started way early, long before I turned 16 and would go over and over the questions. God has blessed me with a great memory over the years, but as I am aging that is slowing down. Why am I telling all of you this? Because I would like you to pray for me that God might open my mind to read, understand and help me to remember. Those who know me also know that I can ask them a question and before they even get a chance to answer, I have moved on to the next subject. In other words, I am thinking about a lot of subjects at once and while that is not bad, I just can't seem to put them in line. So let me ask you to pray for me to be able to read the new book I just got. The book is about Joseph. That is enough about me today. Please pray for all those who are suffering through this weather. As we think about how cold it is, please try and remember how it is in Boston. And brothers and sisters, with all the ice on the rivers, we need to know that warm days of sunshine and cold nights will help the river ice break up slowly. And above all we need to just remember that GOD IS IN CONTROL OF EVERYTHING. We just need to pray "His will is done."
Last day for Keeping Safe. Please pray that God gives me a new subject for tomorrow.
Salvation Wednesday: February 18, 2015: Keeping Safe (Day Three) Ash Wednesday
Psalm 34:18 - The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and Saves those who are crushed in Spirit. (NIV)
Psalm 34:18 - The Lord is close to those whose hearts are breaking; He rescues those who are humbly sorry for their sins. (TLB)
In writing about keeping safe, you will notice that all things lead to us being "Born Again" or saved. The scriptures are about getting out safe. So I want to point out a few things. You are in a house, the snow is really heavy as in Boston, you know the roof of your house is covered with snow and you are calling on the Lord to keep you safe. The roof falls in and you are killed in the collapse of the building. How did the Lord keep you safe, you ask? If you are truly Born Again, you will be safe at home with Jesus. If you wanted to be safe and remain here, maybe you need to get some of the weight of the snow off your home or go to a lower level of your home.
But let's talk some more about keeping safe and you must help God do it. Yes, putting feet on those prayers by helping yourself as you pray. It is very cold and it has snowed, so you get in your car and pray for God to keep you safe and protect you. After that you put your car in gear and pull out from your home and hit a power pole. Why did God not protect you? He would have been able to do a better job of it if you had cleared the snow from your car!! Oh, and you have this, you clear the windows really well, but it is cold and you have ice and snow on the roof of your car. Your car heater warms up the car as you drive, and when you stop or slow down, all the snow on the roof comes off and down on your windshield. Or, it goes off the roof and onto the next car behind you. So to help God keep you safe, you clean your car. Okay, so what about that big rig ahead of you or a bus? Well, you can help keep safe by just dropping back. Do not tailgate. I feel bad for the people who drive the big rigs. Being from that school bus business, how do you get all that snow off the roof when it snows overnight and you need to go out in the morning on your route? Drivers cannot reach the top of their school bus. Well, those feet need to be on the ones who drive the buses. Looking back over the years, I can remember just a few times where I talked to the powers that be in the early morning hours and told them, we need to call off school, for it is just not safe for the drivers and we cannot have the fleet ready. Praise God we had people who understood that. But the bottom line when going out on the road and asking for God's protection is always in the hands of the driver. If unsafe, the drivers either should not go or pull off the roads as they get slick. I can remember one time the ice came in while the buses were on route, and I just told the drivers in the bad areas to try to get the bus to the next point of safety and stop.
Now what happened when those jets were hijacked on 9/11/2001 and you were either on the plane or in the buildings? If you were "Born Again," you would have been safe because you would have been taken home to Jesus. Oh, and I would bet that a lot of people became "Born Again" right there and then. That would be called a "Bed-side Conversion" in my mind. So my dear brothers and sisters, why would you wait until a bed-side conversion is needed, when on this Salvation Wednesday you can come to Jesus? There is more to it than just saying this prayer. I believe that God is giving me the next subject. After being born again, what must we do? I will pray about that for now. Let me again go to God for that one that might really want to come to God right now.
Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive me of my sins. Please wash me clean of my sins with the Blood of Jesus that was shed on the Cross. I do believe in You, Jesus, and I believe You died on the Cross and on the 3rd day were risen from the grave, and I confess that with my mouth and believe it in my heart. In Jesus' Name, I ask to be saved this day. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings and the love of our Lord Jesus. Love ya, and yes, please share my love as you share the love of Jesus.
Pastor Dan
P.S. We have a few pilots of aircraft who are on this line. One was a pilot of the big jets and even flew the late Lyndon Johnson. I am going to ask him to write to me with permission to use it, what was done if he would hit bad weather, did he have a plan and did he ever find the need to be calling on God to get him through. I will let you know when he responds and after he is finished I will put it out as a special.
Good Salvation Wednesday, my dear brothers and sisters, and yes, I am getting the message out in the evening when Salvation Wednesday is about gone. Same rules apply daily.

Monday 2/16/15 Keeping Safe (1)
(NOTE: THIS POST SHOULD HAVE BEEN POSTED BEFORE THE ONE BELOW)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please forgive me of my sins. Thank You for answering my prayers according to Your will. Thank You, Lord for the beautiful day we re having. Please, Lord, I ask that You watch over the group going to the Dominican Republic. Lord, please be with all those who are having such bad weather and help them through it. Thank You for supplying our needs and a whole lot of our wants. Thanks, Father, for sending Jesus to die for me. Thanks, Jesus, for dying on the cross for all of us. Lord, please help Dolores as she just now headed for bed saying "her pain is really bad in her back." Ease her pain, please, Lord. Please help me again with a daily message and please then help me to get it dispatched. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: Let me correct an error I made yesterday. When I listed the family for prayers who lost their home to fire, I said they didn't understand why God let this happen. They did understand as they did not complain one bit about it happening. Again as in our scriptures yesterday, these things make us trust even more in God. Please pray for a group of nineteen who are headed to a Baptist school in the Dominican Republic on March 16th. Please put them on your prayer lists until they get back safely.
The messages for the next few days will be different. Keeping Safe is the subject.
Monday: February 15, 2015: Keeping Safe (Day One) Presidents' Day
Psalm 27:5 - For in the day of trouble He will keep me safe in his dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. (NIV)
This message is one that really will require you to put "feet on your prayers." How so, you ask? Well, we are going to talk about safety on the road and around your home, and while our Lord God is our great protector, we must surely help Him by helping ourselves. I feel I am qualified to talk about most all of this, for I have been to school for some, and some I learned by going out and doing it and I h ave been blessed by having Chief Robert Coburn as my Assistant at Central Dauphin School District and he, being a fire chief and an instructor at Harrisburg Community College Fire School, got us onto the Skid Pad with school buses. Since it is winter, let's start there.
Do you know what black ice is? And do you know when snow is the most slippery? Okay, black ice is water that is very thin and has frozen to the road and you can see through it. You indeed can see the road but the ice on top an cause instant sliding by your vehicle, and in most cases even the driver becomes a passenger. As for when snow is the slipperiest is when the temperature is near the freezing point which is 32 degrees. Freezing rain or rain coming down and you are near 32 degrees gives you warning as your wipers should be on. But did you know that "fog can freeze to the road?" Well, you know it now. Let's face it, you can spin out just on a wet road. So what causes most of the crashes? Okay, here it comes. Untrained drivers, drivers who are not paying attention when driving, cell phones, texting, setting the GPS, eating, reading a book, reading the daily paper, working on the laptop, talking on the CB and that is mostly truck drivers anymore, speed, and speed is a biggie, for if you were to drive the speed limit, you will find out how many people pass you. Did you know that all speed limits are set for good conditions? Then we will have tailgating, etc.
Okay, our Bible text tells us that God will keep us safe in His dwelling. Did He not supply you with all the good things you have, so your car, truck, vehicle, all of those things are His dwellings, on loan to you. Do you agree? In vehicles, do you know that in a skid, locked wheels will point the way? Test me on this one, no, not in your car on the interstate highway, just take a toy car, set it on a long table, lift one end of the table and see if it rolls straight. That would mean that all wheels are rolling. Now tape the back wheels and then make the same test. Put the toy on the table, yes, the front facing downhill, and lift the table and watch the model turn around. Okay, now you know a locked wheel points the way. Do you know if you turn the steering wheel on your car and you have the brakes locked up it will not turn? It goes the way it is pointed. Try and keep the wheels turning by applying less brake. Do you know how to steer out of a spin? You turn into the spin. Back end going right, you need to turn the steering to the right. If the back gets 1/4th the way around, your chances are not good at bringing it straight. Even if your name is Joey Chitwood or Jeff Gordon or Dale Earnhart, you are not going to pull it out that far around. Look, you can learn a lot from a toy, you can even get on the floor and shove it, but not carpet. Why not carpet? Gosh, is the road made of carpet? Someday Gold, but your car will not be on that one. Prayerfully you will be walking on it some sweet day. By the way, I did not say that God will not help you at all, so pray before you pull your car out of its parking place, and take God with you. No, no, not as your co-pilot, let Him be the pilot. Maybe even sing a little, "Jesus Savior Pilot Me." In fact, let's take a song break. Jesus Savior Pilot Me by Edward Hopper and J. E. Gould.
"Jesus savior, pilot me Over life's tempestuous sea. Unknown waves before me roll, Hiding rocks and treach'rous shoal; Chart and compass come from Thee, Jesus Savior Pilot me."
"As a mother stills her child, Thou canst hush the ocean wild; Boist'rous waves obey Thy will. When Thou say'st to them 'Be Still! Wondrous Sov'reign of the sea, Jesus Savior Pilot me."
"When at last I near the shore, and the fearful breakers roar "Twixt me and the peaceful rest. Then, while leaning on The breast, May I hear Thee say to me. 'Fear not, I will pilot thee.'"
While this song was about a ship, it does not make a difference, you are asking God all the same things. Think about it. We are going to go on more this week with ways of Keeping Safe, so remember this also. The very best way to let God keep you safe on the road in bad weather is do not be there if you do not need to be. Also this tip as we get ready to go to prayer. If someone is tailgating you, slow down and let more room in front of you. Do you know why?
Dear Father in Heaven: Please keep me safe until I am home safely in Your arms. I do want to be with You and I confess that I love You, so when the time comes You call me home, help me to not rush it by using my brain that You gave me and help me use good common sense when out and about and to keep working for You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings and also maybe a safety tip or two. Love ya. Please share my love and the love of our Lord and Savior.

Tuesday 2/17/15 Keeping Safe (2)
Dear Father in Heaven: Thank You for a great day. Thank You for answered prayers. I love You, Lord. Please forgive me of my sins. Praise and honor to You for Pastor Larry and Luella arriving home safe. Praise to You for protecting daughter Danelle from the crash today. Praise for opening the pipes at the Crockett home. Praise for taking care of me while I plowed today. Please, Lord, be with all those in Boston and those areas hit so hard by storms. Please, Lord, open doors for those needing work. Dear Father, please help me with the message of today and to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, more on keeping safe. Please remember to pray for your safety and also give all honor and glory to God. God spared Danelle's life today when a big rig ran her into another lane. Thanks for covering the Hales with prayer. They are home safe. God is so good. There are several on this line who are looking for work. Please pray for God to open doors. Let me get going on the message.
Tuesday: February 17, 2015: Keeping Safe (Day Two)
Psalm 37:3 - Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy SAFE pasture. (NIV)
Right to the scripture and we can see, to be in His Safe pasture, we must trust in Him and also do Good. And again as we trust in Him, we also must help Him and not test Him. One thing in thinking safety is a Railroad crossing. While we pray for His safety, we should not test Him by driving around those stop arms when they are down. We also need to think about not stopping on the tracks. If traffic is stopped ahead, say for a traffic signal, and you are coming to the railroad tracks, stop behind the cross arm even if it is up, and wait for the traffic on the other side of the tracks to move. That is called planning ahead. Just this past winter two hunters were following tracks and a train hit them. Okay, that was a joke, but it leads me to this safety tip. Never walk on railroad tracks, you might see a train coming and run to get off the tracks and slip and fall.
Yes, God will keep us in His safe pasture, but we must help. Let me run just a few more past you, which should be common sense. Do not warm up your vehicle inside the garage. Do not let your vehicle run with your child in it as you go into a store. Even if you lock your vehicle, with the motor running, do not leave sight of it. God has provided you a safe pasture, if today your pasture is your home, be safe in it. If your power goes out and you use candles and you also have animals, put the candles in your sink. Same with oil lamps.
Brothers and sisters, I am going to stop here for the night. I was up early to plow and I keep falling asleep. Remember, God will keep on keeping you safe if you keep on loving on our Lord Jesus. I am going to put this in today. It is always God's will to be done, and once in awhile, we must really look at the fact that God's protection will always be with you, but for some that house of protection is when we get behind those Pearly Gates and into the Mansion. That means you have to have a relationship with our Lord Jesus. And God the Father gave us Jesus and Jesus gave us the gift of Salvation and it is a Free Gift. Have you picked up that gift? If not, here is your chance.
Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive me of my sins. I love You and I confess my sins to you, and I believe in You according to Your Holy Word found in my Bible. I believe in the cross and that You died on it and were risen from the dead. Please, Lord, book my passage today. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
If you prayed in FAITH, you are now Born Again. Walk now with Jesus in all You do and trust in Him. Remember Jesus is our Savior, and please know that I AM NOT.
Now go forth and share your blessings and know that I love ya. Please share that love with others.

Saturday 2/14/15 Saved (4)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You, Lord. Please forgive me of my sins. Thank You for doing that for me. Please be with the Keith family and comfort them in the death of their K-9. Lord, please watch over all those who are in severe weather. Protect your children from the weather. Lord, please be with the families of the 21 Christians who were murdered by ISIS yesterday. Lord, protect Your people. Please bring peace to the world, Jesus. Lord, please protect those racecar drivers as NASCAR is running again. Please help me with the message and to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, 21 Christians were lined up and executed yesterday, and I think it was in Egypt. I saw it on Fox Cable News. Sure sign of spring, NASCAR is running and pitchers and catchers report this week to spring training for baseball. Come on spring, but until then keep praying for those in these cold weather areas and high snow areas. Pray for the people in Boston. Gosh, they need to "jump up to spit!" They have over five feet of snow. Think about that, folks, on the roof of a home it is a lot of weight. We need to pray about what has happened at the Little League World Series. The team that won has had the title taken away for stacking the team. Reverend Jesse Jackson is calling it a race issue. I have a question and please try and follow me on this. A team wins the chance to go to the World Series at Williamsport and I am sure you can only have so many kids on a team. So the winning team goes out of their area to get the best players from the other teams. Follow me on this. What happens to those who WERE CUT FROM THE TEAM THAT WON THE CHANCE to go to make room for the "better players?" Now the coaches and parents did the cheating, not the kids, but me, well, if any injustice was done, it was against those who lost their chance to go, so why have we not heard from those parents? Pray for these kids, all of them who play Little League around the world. I was never good enough to play Little League or even the ponies. I confess I was afraid of the baseball. Think about it, folks.
Now one more statement from me. The other day a man was shot to death by a policewoman from Hummelstown, PA. Now another protest, and this has nothing to do with race. Both the man who was shot and the policewoman were white. Let me say this and you can quote me on this. "If you do not commit a crime and do not run from the police, you are not going to get shot." If you have a police officer trying to stop you, put on your hazard lights and pull over at the first place you can do it safely. Put the hazard lights on first so they know you are not running from them, and find that point of safety. Then just sit still until they come to the car. Follow their orders and respect their authority. Does that make sense to you? With those things said, let me get to the message. Wow, the snow storm just hit our area and it is snowing and blowing hard.
Saturday: February 14,2015: Saved (Day Four) Valentine's Day
John 3:16 - "For God so LOVED the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. (NIV)
Yes, I did use this scripture the other day; however, since I am still working on Saved and Salvation and it is Valentine's Day, I am using scriptures that talk about love. Please remember that the greatest blessing or gift from God is Love.
Romans 5:2b - And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His LOVE into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us. (NIV)
I want to point out a few things here, first, we all suffer, from time to time, as loved ones leave us to death, we have pets depart, we have pain from accidents, and I could go on and on and on. Not one person escapes sufferings, but when we LOVE our Lord Jesus then this happens, and it, the sufferings produces perseverance, character, and hope. And none of this disappoints us because God has poured out HIS LOVE right into our hearts. This done through the Power of the Holy Ghost!! For those who are disappointed, then you need to check on your Love for Jesus. Oh, and if someone would ask you, do you believe in ghosts? Tell them yes, but just one, The Holy Ghost, a good lead-in how to witness to others. Let's move on.
Romans 5:8 - But God demonstrates His own LOVE for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (NIV)
Once again we tie together His LOVE with His death on the Cross. Do you see how being Saved and your Salvation all tie together with His LOVE and suffering on the cross?
Romans 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who LOVE Him, who have been called according to His purpose. (NIV)
This scripture has two conditions. Condition one: We must LOVE Him. Condition two: We are called ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE. Have those conditions met, then it all comes out good.
Romans 8:31 - What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all -- how will He not also, along with Him graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is it that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died -- more than that, who was raised to life, -- is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." 37 No,in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who LOVED us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the LOVE of God, that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NIV)
I really want you to read over this scripture a few times. It really points out the fact that we need to come to Jesus to be saved, it really does. We are going to discuss this scripture some more, maybe even tomorrow or maybe at a later date. This scripture points out to me that if we come to Jesus and we really love Him, nothing can change that, nothing at all, regardless of the sins, as long as we keep working on repenting.
The Blood of Jesus has us covered, and His covering lasts forever. To get that covering, we must believe in Him and confess that. Remember you cannot fake your LOVE for Him. He can read us like a book. Again, here is a chance for you to come to Him and accept that LOVE that He gave us when He died on the cross. Ready?
Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive me of my sins and know that I do believe in You. I believe that You were born of a Virgin Mother, died on the Cross, were risen from the dead, walked the earth again, and rose to Heaven. I believe and ask, please place my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. In Jesus' Name, I ask this. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. LOVE ya. Please, please share the LOVE of Jesus and my LOVE also.

Friday 2/13/15 Saved (3)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You and I appreciate You. Please forgive me of my sins and help me work even harder on repenting. Thanks again for all You do for us and for watching over us. Please keep watching over families and friends, and Lord, I am not just praying for my family but families worldwide. The same with friends, Lord, I pray You are watching over not just our friends but friends of all those we pray for. Lord, Your healing hand is still needed on all those who have been on our prayer list. Lord, I want to lift our veterans to You this day, those who over the years have given so much for this country You loaned to us to use while we are here. I ask protection over our current military, our police officers and all first responders. Please, Lord, be with Chief Coburn as he, along with so many men and women, are running into buildings we others are running out of. Lord, Bob is just one example of so many like him. Lord, please also be with those who fly the medical choppers. Lord, I pray for President Obama and also Governor Wolf this day. Lord, first I pray for their salvation that they indeed would come to You. Lord, as the news is coming of all those who are going to run for president, I pray today that You will help one win that indeed loves You and believes in life and marriage between one man and one woman. Lord, I pray that all pastors will preach The Word, Your Word this weekend. Now, Lord, if You would help me with the message and then get it dispatched, I wold appreciate it. Beside that, I just cannot do it without You, I know for I have tried. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, it is Friday the 13th, and if I could have done it and I would have walked under a ladder, drove on a road after a black cat crossed it. What am I saying? Jesus takes care of me so I do not believe in that other junk!! For all of you who read this, try your very best to stay warm. Spring is not far away, but it is going to be a cold weekend with high winds. Pray for those up in the Boston area and pray that some of those who think we have global warming live up that way. And may I add this? COME ON SPRING!! Each year I pray that if the Lord will get me through the cold, I will not complain about the heat of the summer, and I don't. Let me get to the message. After the message I will tell all of you how to ice fish if you want to know.
Friday: February 13, 2015: Saved (Day Three)
1 Chronicles 16:23 - Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim His salvation day after day. (NIV)
As you all know I love to sing and I really miss going out on concerts after all the years. I want you to think about what it might be like if you went to church and there was no music, no singing. I want to sing and shout and raise my hands in praise, how about you? Also, it tells us point blank we are to PROCLAIM His Salvation day after day. But first you really need to be saved, and if you are not, you will get your chance to ask God for that at the end of the message.
Psalm 13:5 - But I trust in Your unfailing love, my heart rejoices in Your salvation. (NIV)
Again today in another scripture we see that the love of our Lord God is unfailing, meaning it never stops. I want to bring out here that God loves everyone, but that does not mean everyone will make it to heaven. Try and think what it might be like for our Lord Jesus who loves all of us, and how some of those He loves will be turned away when they try and enter heaven. That is one reason to come to Jesus now, to save Him some heartache and grief. In the second part of the scriptures it tells us how our heart rejoices in His salvation. Brothers and sisters, let your heart rejoice, come to Jesus now.
Acts 4:10b - It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth who you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11 He is "the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone. 12 Salvation is found in no one else for there is no other Name under Heaven given to men by which we must be saved." (NIV)
Here we find the author of Acts, which is more than likely Luke, telling those who crucified Jesus that they need to come to Jesus. He points out here that God raised Jesus from the dead, and in verse twelve we see that "Salvation is found in NO ONE ELSE."
I want you to think about something, I want you to think about this. If each one of our sins was a nail, how many nails have you driven into our Lord Jesus? Think of how each one of our sins must hurt Him still this day. I want to tell you that if it would be like this, I, over the years, would have had so many nails driven into Jesus that there would not be room for even one nail from you. HOWEVER, when we some to Christ, when we come to Christ, when we come to Jesus, PRAISE GOD, THE NAILS WE HAVE DRIVEN IN ARE REMOVED, they are pulled out, they are gone. Oh, yes, I still drive a few in, and that is why each day I pray to my Lord Jesus asking Him to forgive me of any sins that I might have done, either known or unknown to me. Think of it, brothers and sisters, we are holding a claw hammer, and we drive in nails and if we are saved, He will turn that hammer around and pull out the nails. SHOUT AMEN, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, FOR OUR LORD JESUS LIVES. Are you saved this day? I want to be very, very clear about this. I cannot save you, your pastor or priest cannot save you, only Jesus can save you. Others can only point the way and lead you. Today I want to not just pray the sinners' prayer for a first-time believer coming to Jesus but for Jesus to clean all of us up and refresh us. In other words let's all ask Him to remove all the nails again. Are you with me on this?
Dear Father in Heaven, I am a sinner saved only by Your grace and I want to come to You today and confess my love to You to be saved, and Lord, for we who are saved, we all surely need cleaned up. Please, Lord, wash us white as the new fallen snow and pull out those nails we have driven into You. All of us want to see You face to face someday. Please help us to be ready. Until that time, please help us work for You each day. In Jesus' Name, I pray and say Lord, I am sorry for my sins. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings, and by all means spread the love of Jesus and my love to others.
Pastor Dan
May I remind you that you are welcome to forward anything I write, no need to ask, the choice is yours. Now how to ice fish.
Three men along with their wives went out ice fishing and on the way to the location (a frozen lake) the men were telling the ladies that they could catch more fish than they could. So a bet was made. In the morning the men went one way and the women went another on the lake. In the evening the ladies came home with a really big catch of fish, and the men had none. On the second day it was the same, the ladies came home with a big catch and the men had zero, zip, nothing. On the third day one of the men decided to follow the ladies to see what was going on. Then after looking he ran to the other two men and informed them the ladies were cheating. How is that, one man asked? Well, the ladies cut a hole in the ice. (So much for a fish story.)
Thursday 2/12/15 Saved (2)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Please cover my sins and mess-ups of today. Lord, please watch over and heal from cancer Freda Eitnier. Lord, please help those who were attending the church on Earl Dr. find a new church. It is sad when churches close, Lord. Please help them grow. Please bring peace in workplaces, Lord, and please be with all the drivers on the roads on these slippery days. Please protect Your children from the extreme cold that is coming forth this weekend. Please keep Your healing hand on Jan Enloe. Please give traveling protection to Pastor Larry and Luella, Lord. Please also protect the Stoner family as they spread Your word in Togo, West Africa. Please touch the eyes of Ruby, and also be with Barbara. Your healing hand is needed with the Emig family. Please watch over families, friends, and all those who use this line. please keep Your hand of protection on the line. Now, Lord, if You would bless me again with a message and help me to get it dispatched, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks, Lord, for trusting me to work for You. In Jesus' Name, I pray and go forth. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, the small Assembly of God Church on Earl Drive east of Harrisburg has closed. I have no idea why. Pray that those who lose their church home find another where the Word is preached. New to our prayer list is 80 year-old Freda Eitnier who welcomes all the prayers you can give her. Freda is "Born Again" and has led many people to Jesus to be saved. Jan Enloe has double pneumonia and is showing improvement. Please put the Daniel Stoner family on your daily prayer list. They are in Togo, West Africa. I am not sure if Dan is back flying yet, but he is a trained pilot that flies into those hard-to-reach places. Time to get writing for the Lord.
Thursday: February 12, 2015: Saved (Day Two) (President Lincoln's Birthday)
1 Chronicles 16:34 - Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. 35 Cry out, "Save us, O God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your Holy Name." (NIV)
This scripture is telling us that we need to GIVE THANKS. I think so often we pray asking our Lord for something and then we forget to give thanks. Yes, I am guilty of that and more often than I like to admit. Dolores and I pray before we leave our property when going on the road. I back out of the garage, and we pray as the doors are coming down. We ask God to protect our home and animals when we are out and to give us a safe out and a safe back. All too often when we come home, we pull the car into the garage, we get out and go into the house, and we forget to just say a short prayer, like "Thank You, Jesus, for watching over us and keeping us safe. In Jesus' Name, Amen." The scripture tells us we should give thanks for HE IS GOOD, and HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER. I confessed, how about you? Do you stop and take time to give thanks for those prayers that He answers day after day?
In verse 35 we are told to "Cry out," "Save us, O God our Savior." How long has it been since you have really cried out or just called out for God to save you? And again like in scriptures of yesterday this might not just be to be Saved as in Born Again, you just might be needing help. There are many times in life that we need to call on the Lord. I know I did it often before going to meetings at the school and when we leave. Regardless of the results we should give thanks. Next scripture ...
Psalm 28:9 - Save Your people and bless Your inheritance; be their Shepherd and carry them forever. (NIV)
Again people are asking to be saved and also blessed. Let's look at this. God saves us when needed. We might not need saved everyday (unless you do dumb things like I do). God will be there when needed. Now as for the blessings, they go on all the time. I mean all the time. All at once now, take in a deep, deep breath of God's air. And that is just for a starting point. We just cannot do anything without being blessed by God. I want you to really think about that. Some days we might be blessed more than others like next Tuesday on a day we call "Fat Tuesday" or "Donut Day" and there I go thinking about food. And we are so blessed in this country that we can go to the fridge, open the door and the thing is full and we can't find anything to eat.
This verse also asks God to be our Shepherd and to carry us forever. Now let me see, in that first scripture we read His love endures forever, and now in this scripture for Him to carry us forever.
Now brothers and sisters, He will indeed carry us forever if we just come to Him and ask for Him to do just that. Just one more scripture today Hang in with me.
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." 17 "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." (NIV)
I will go fast here. Yo all know John 3:16 so I want to point out once again that word ETERNAL. And how long is eternal? It is forever and ever and ever. It goes on after we die, it is forever. God did not send Jesus to us to condemn us but to save us. Yes, to save us, as in "Born Again." Now folks, I am going to tell you that forever is just that, forever, and gosh, we have a choice where to spend it. HEAVEN OR HELL. Your choice, and once again, I invite you to make it now.
Dear Father in Heaven, I love You and I do believe in You. I confess with my mouth my sins and that I love You and I believe it in my heart. I am serious about this, Lord, this is my day, Lord. Please place my name in the Lamb's Book of Life. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Please share the love of Jesus and yes, my love also.

Wednesday 2/11/15 Saved (1)
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for a beautiful day, and thanks for loving me so much that You died for me. I love You also, Lord, and I am sorry I am such a sinner. Please forgive me of my sins. Thank You for watching over Marvin and thank You for sending our dear friends Grant and Wanda today. Lord, please be with all those we have on our prayer lists. Lord, I want to give You all honor and glory today for Your healing hand on Dave Fortney as he keeps getting stronger. Thanks for keeping watch over family and friends, Lord. Thanks for watching over me this day, Lord. Please, Lord, be with our Matthew and we pray he returns to You. Lord, help us to reach out to others, not just on Salvation Wednesday, but each and every day of the year. Lord, please help me with the message and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I give praise and send my prayer requests. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, I think I could write a book about today and God was with me each step of the way. Besides having rescue dogs, we also years ago took in two kittens that our trash men found in the trash. They were small and someone threw them out. They asked if we would help them and I said yes. I caged them in the garage, took care of them until we could get them fixed, then we would find them a home. Except, I played with them too much and we decided to make them house cats. So we got them declawed (all four). Today one went missing outside. Yes, we have a fenced-in yard with a topper, and they so far had not figured out how to walk upside down. Anyway, the biggest one went in under our wooden back porch and was too big to get back out. I walked across a very icy backyard with my walker just to make sure I had heard his voice when I called his name. Yep, he was stuck, and I got down on my knees to help him. I dug frozen ground for awhile and then decided to call our dear friends Grant and Wanda to help. They were just a few blocks away shopping and headed our way right away. Until I got up and started to the house, Marvin made it out. Grant and Wanda were called again and told he was out, and they came anyway and fixed the hole so he cannot get in again. God got me back across the ice. By the way, when Marvin went missing, the very first thing I did was start praying out loud, calling out for Jesus to protect this house cat. God answered prayers, and He always does, not always the way we want or in the time we expect. But He answers prayers, and yes, on this line we pray for dogs, cats, and other animals along with people.
I know that took time, but I just wanted to point out how God helps us. So let me get right to the message, "Saved."
Salvation Wednesday: February 11, 2015: Saved (Day One)
Psalm 22:5 - They cried to You and were saved; in You they trusted and were not disappointed. (NIV)
This verse from Psalms tell it really nicely. They cried, or maybe called out to God, and were SAVED. And it says they TRUSTED AND WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. Please remember this does not just mean about salvation, but for sure if we call out for the Lord to save us from our sins He will do that. I want you to think about in your own life, how many times have you called out for the Lord and He saved you from something or helped you through something? I just told you how He helped me just today.
Psalm 33:16 - No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength. (NIV)
Do you remember this kids' thing? Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall, all the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put Humpty together again. And then add this. But God could!! Maybe that is a bad example for this verse, maybe I should put it like this. The United States of America has the very best military in the world, but they cannot save the Commander in Chief, President Obama. Presidents Lincoln and Kennedy were not protected by all those guards around them. And I pray that nothing like that happens to any president again, but what the Bible is pointing out is if you want to be saved, only Jesus can do that. President Obama must come to Jesus to be saved, no ifs, ands, or buts about that. No one great warrior, not the strongest man can make it on their own. Look at Mr. T. As strong as what he was, he gave himself to Jesus. I am not sure if Mr. T. is still alive or not, but I do know he came to Jesus. Likewise, Hulk Hogan was the same, these two strong men are SAVED.
Psalm 116:6 - The Lord protects the simple-hearted; when I was in great need, He saved me. (NIV)
Simple-hearted means childlike. Again, we see an example of the Lord coming to the rescue.
Mark 16:16 - "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." (NIV)
I want to point out if you are condemned, you GO TO HELL, PERIOD. I also want to point out that by being baptized by water does not get you into heaven. You must repent and be baptized and that means to be baptized by the Holy Spirit. You must be saved through Jesus Christ and there is no way around that. Today some churches baptize babies and others too young to understand about being saved. When you are baptized after you are saved, it is an outward expression of your salvation, or an inward feeling. Okay, enough for today, we will be talking a lot about being saved. Time to pray.
Dear Father in Heaven, I have decided today is the day, and I want to come to You to be saved. I do believe in You. I believe that You died on the cross and were risen from the dead and that You will someday judge me. Please save me right now. In Jesus' Name, I ask this. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Please share my love with others.

Tuesday 2/10/15 Harvest 3
Dear Father in Heaven: Please forgive me of my sins. I love You, Lord. Thanks for taking care of us this day on the road and bringing us back home safely. Thanks for hearing our prayers and answering them according to Your will and in Your time. Please be in watch over Your people, dear Lord, and protect us from those who want to kill us because we are Christians. Please help me with the daily message and to get it dispatched. Please also, Lord, help me as I want to read a book. Please help me to read and understand it. In The Wonderful Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, what a great day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. A light snow this morning, which I pushed off the driveway with my plow truck; when arriving home the sun had melted the rest. We need to be praying for the people in Boston who have so much snow. They say they have no place to put it. We should pray for those folks. Let's do that right now.
Dear Father in Heaven, please be with our brothers and sisters up in the Boston area and protect them from the weather. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
It is so nice to just be able to stop and pray anytime. Amen. With that said, I do want to remind you that each day we will be ending the message with a call for Salvation. Those of you who are saved know why I do this. Those who do not understand why I am doing this each day just might not be saved. I should have been doing this since I started writing daily messages. It has been a lot of years, about sixteen or maybe a couple more. Just to keep you up-to-date on how the ministry is going, today our local police came to our home and picked up food for a homeless person. We picked out all foods that did not need to be cooked, like soups, tuna, canned chicken, baked beans, etc. Also tried to find all pull tab cans. Next the Silver Spring Township police are making a registry of all folks with dementia and/or Alzheimer's issues and we are going to make a donation to the Township for start-up funds. (They did not ask for this.) Thanks for all of you who keep supporting the ministries of Carry The Light Ministries. It is appreciated. Now to the message.
Tuesday: February 10, 2015: Harvest (Day Three)
Ruth 2:2 - And Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, "Let me go to the fields and pick up the leftover grain behind anyone in whose eyes I find favor." Naomi said to her, "Go ahead, my daughter." 3 So she went out and began to glean in the fields behind the harvesters. (NIV)
Do you folks know that we still have harvesters working the fields today? I am talking on real farms. Yes, we do, and they are called International Harvesters. Okay, a joke to start today. Anyway, this scripture points out how people who did not have a lot to eat would get food back in those days. They would glean the fields, which was the gathering of what the crews would miss. I can't help but wonder today how many people who do not have enough to eat would go out and glean a field after the farmer had gathered crops? Or would they just go to the food pantry for the handout? It was not all that long ago that the United Methodist men would go out and ask farmers if they could glean the fields and they would take it to the food pantries. I do not know if that is still done or not.
I do not work much out of the books of the Bible which bear the woman's name, but we have had a lot of very, very good women named in the Bible. Most often we think of Mary, the mother of our beloved Savior Jesus.
2 Corinthians 9:10 - Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. (NIV)
We know that the "He" talked about is God for He supplies us with all things good. The term "Harvest of your righteousness" is talking about how if we stay near to God and we work hard at doing His will and our righteousness will keep increasing until it is the day we ourselves will be called home by our Lord. The word also talks about how our seed will be increased. This is another way of saying the harder we work for our Lord Jesus the better our rewards will be when it comes harvest time for us. You know, I have never given much thought before to how indeed we will be harvested when our time comes. Another term that we can add to being called home or some of the other terms like "he bit the dust" or "he bought the farm." Yes, indeed, harvested by our Lord God. And harvest time is near.
Galatians 6:9 - Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (NIV)
Here it is plain that if we just do not give up, when our time comes we will reap a harvest. We are being encouraged here to keep on going and doing good. Let me say that in today's world when we look around us we can get weary when doing good. It is hard when so much other junk is going on around us. Just keep your "eye on the prize," our Lord Jesus, who is our biggest reward when it comes to our harvest. Oh, we will have a few other things, we will have a big mansion with a lot of rooms and we will NOT NEED TO PAY PROPERTY TAXES ON IT. We will also have gold streets and the gate to our city, wow, it will have pearls on it. Yes, a Pearly Gate. More tomorrow, maybe a new subject. Tomorrow is Salvation Wednesday. Let's pray.
Dear Lord, please forgive me of my sins, for this is the day I want to be Born Again. I believe You died for me and were risen from the dead. Please save me and then help me repent and go to work for You. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings. Love ya. Please share my love.
