Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: "I now
establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you and with
every living creature that was with you, the birds, the livestock and all the
wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you --- every living
creature on earth. I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life
be cut off by the waters of a flood, never again will there be a flood to
destroy the earth. And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making
between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all
generations to come. I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the
sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the
earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between
me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters
become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow appears in the
clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all
living creatures of every kind on earth." So God said to Noah, "This is the
sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the
earth."
Good Tuesday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, it is a
beautiful morning here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. It is to be summer-like today. Tuesday is the day we pray for
healing from diseases of all types. Also please keep Pastor Larry in your
prayers as he has bypass surgery. Let's get to the message.
March 13, 2012 Signs: Genesis 9:8 -Then God said to Noah and
to his sons with him: 9 "I now establish my covenant with you and with your
descendants after you 10 and with every living creature that was with you, the
birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the
ark with you --- every living creature on earth. 11 I establish my covenant with
you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood, never again
will there be a flood to destroy the earth. 12 And God said, "This is the sign
of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with
you, a covenant for all generations to come. 13 I have set my rainbow in the
clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14
Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,
15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of
every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.
16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the
everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on
earth." 17 So God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant I have
established between me and all life on the earth." (NIV)
Yesterday, I talked about the signs that the sailors watched
for weather. The "Red skies in the morning, sailors take warning, red skies at
night, sailors delight. Today we look at the rainbow. It is a sad thing that
the gay community wants to STEAL the rainbow sign from God. You see, folks, the
rainbow is not just a sign from God, it is also a sign to God, yes, it is a sign
from God to Himself to remind Him to never destroy the earth again by water.
While we do have local flooding, never again will the complete earth be
destroyed by water. Note, the promise does not say the earth will not be
destroyed.
The other morning there was a rainbow set in the sky in the
West, most often we see the rainbow set in the East, by rain coming in front of
the sun. Also the rainbow the other morning was a beautiful double rainbow.
So when I saw the double rainbow I was talking to some people about it, for I
had just pulled into the food store. I made the statement that God was "talking
to Himself" and those folks loved the rainbow but had no idea what I was talking
about when I said "God was talking to Himself." Then one asked me, what are you
talking about and I got to tell them the story behind the rainbow and the
covenant between God and Noah and his family and of course the sign of the
rainbow. Now folks, about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. If you
love our Lord God who sets the rainbow you do not need the gold, for God Himself
will take care of our every need. So now you know the story of the rainbow,
God's reminder to Himself not to destroy this earth by water. Tomorrow,
some more signs some from God and maybe one or two good signs from man.
Dear Father in Heaven, the placer of the rainbow in the sky,
we love You this day and pray we can walk it with You and for You and not slip
and fall, but Lord, if we do slip and fall, please stand by us and help us back
up and get right back in the fight for You. Help us to go to the fields of
Harvest and go to work for You. Please answer our prayers according to Your
will for us and those we are praying for. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and share your blessings... love ya, Pastor
Dan.
