Friday March 2, 2012 Jesus Still Heals 5

Jesus stepped into a boat, crossed over and came to His town. Some men brought to Him a paralytic, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Take heart, son: Your sins are forgiven."

March 2, 2012 Jesus Still Heals (5) Matthew 9:1 - Jesus stepped into a boat, crossed over and came to His town. 2 Some men brought to Him a paralytic, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Take heart, son: Your sins are forgiven." (NIV)

Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, you must be blind if you don't see what Jesus is telling us in this scripture. What is it, you ask? The man is a paralytic, meaning his legs do not work, his friends had faith and brought him to Jesus to be healed. Ok, first Jesus saw the great faith these folks had in Jesus, and then He said to the paralytic, your sins are forgiven. Brothers and sisters, sometimes we lack faith and might not be healed because of our little faith in Jesus healing us today, even though He is the same as back in the day when He walked the earth. But look deep into the scripture, are our sins causing us pain? Are our sins causing us cancers? Are our sins causing us heart problems? Are our sins causing us heartache? Should I go on, or do you see it? Jesus pointed it right out to me today, for as often as I looked at this scripture before I did not see it so plainly. And please notice when I was talking I said "our," meaning you and me. What is God telling us here, want to be healed according to my will maybe Jesus is saying, then have faith in me and stop your sinning. REPENT, FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NEAR. Man, it is like Jesus just hit me over the head with a hammer to get my attention... Dan, do you want that pain to go away, do a better job at repenting and really address your sins, even those in your thinking. I think the scripture of today is worth repeating and reading over... Look at it again. Jesus stepped into a boat, crossed over and came to His town. Some men brought to Him a paralytic, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Take heart, son: Your sins are forgiven."

Dear Father in Heaven, You made it plain today, very plain to me that we, all of us, need to have more faith and also to repent harder and more, and really look and address our sins. Please Lord, help us on with that. Walk with us this beautiful day and help us to walk with You. Help us to be still and listen... In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Now go forth, repenting from sins, having faith in the Lord, and working for Him. Hey, He gave us this day, let us give it back to Him by living it for Him... and yes, please, please share your blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan.
