Monday March 12, 2012 Signs

The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested Him by asking Him to show them a sign from heaven. He replied, "When evening comes, you say, ' It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,' and in the morning, 'Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.' You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a miraculous sign, but now will be given it except the sign of Jonah." Jesus then left them and went away.

Good Monday morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. I have been requested to post some pictures of the new building that we are fixing up for children to come to see Santa and Mrs. Claus and learn the REAL MEANING OF CHRISTMAS. I do not have one of those cameras (that work) so I will see if we can get some taken and get them posted. Let's go to our prayer lists for this day. Please remember that Monday is the day we pray for our leaders and all those who have authority over us. So please, dear brothers and sisters, pray for our president and pray first and foremost for him to come to Jesus as his personal savior. Again, I cannot see in my own mind how anyone, and I know I will catch it from some for this statement, and I am not judging, just telling you how I feel, I don't see how anyone can be saved and support abortion of our unborn children. And our president even supports final term abortion and even supports letting those die who might have survived the abortion attempt. Please also pray for our troops and place those in Afghanistan high on the list. Sadly, it looks like one of our warriors went astray and killed women and children on a rampage. Pray, please, for peace. Pray also for our police officers, state, local, county, FBI, CIA and all those others with letters. Pray for our firefighters. Our fine men and women who are firefighters and most are not paid go out in all kinds of weather, day or night putting your life and mine ahead of their own. Bless them, Jesus.

As for others, please keep praying for Pastor Larry, and as soon as I get an update I will let you know. Please also keep praying for Vicki. I got a note from her just today and she sounded very upbeat, and this is a very good thing as she carries a lot of health issues.

To really complete this part about signs we will need to look in on Jonah and look at the sign of Jonah, for me to be truthful with you, I must read up on that one. But let's go and look at what Jesus told the Pharisees and Sadducees. Most of you have heard about these signs and while some of you look at it as an old Sailors' way to tell the weather. Not having computers and such to try and predict what God is going to do. But folks, if you watch the skies you might have heard it like this...  "Red skies at night, sailors delight, Red skies in the morning, sailors take warning." That is just one sign that God has given us from heaven, and folks, there are a lot more. How many can you think of, and folks, please support them with scripture. I will give you a hint of one, can you find it in the Bible? There will be wars and rumors of war. Find that one, for surely it is a sign from God. Oh, and there are others. How about this one? I'm coming back!

Dear Father in Heaven, it is not hard to see the signs that You have told us about, even in this scripture you talk about a wicked and adulterous generation, and dear Lord, just this weekend there were murders in Harrisburg Pa. again and this time on Sunday morning right outside churches. Dear Lord, first let me speak for myself, and ask You to please forgive me of my sins. I love You, Lord Jesus, and want to do better by and for You. Help us this day to work it for You for You have indeed given us a beauty. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
