Hi Dear brothers and sisters. Just dropping in this Saturday morning to say hello, and ask for your prayers today as we have our Easter food distribution for the hungry. There is a chance that ABC 27 TV out of Harrisburg Pa, MIGHT be here today to tell about our small but mighty food pantry. Maybe you want to watch the 6.00 PM news.

Right now we are having a big old thunderstorm going through.

Did you know that we have a blog spot? Yes, you can look up back writings of mine and also keep up on my health when I am off for surgery. I will give you an advance note to those days. Friday March 30, 2012 Triumphal Entry 3

Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!" "I tell you," He replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out." As He approached Jerusalem and saw the city, He wept over it and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace but now it is hidden from your eyes. The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you."

Good Friday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. (Ok, Thursday evening for some of you.) The day we pray for all those going into the fields of Harvest for our Lord Jesus. Also please keep praying for all those on our prayer list and please remember Allison who is making her walk in faith. I will keep you updated as I receive them. By the way, for all of you who are praying to God for help to win that big, big jackpot, and telling Him you will give Him 20% or more of that 550 million dollars, please remember us if you win... (I just had to say that).

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for all Your help in all we do, thanks for the great deal You found for us on chicken on Thursday Morning, Lord. Lord, please help us as we have families in on Saturday for food. And Lord, help us as we work the fields of Harvest in our local areas by feeding the hungry. Help us to do this according to Your will. Please answer all our prayers according to your will. In Jesus' name, Amen.

March 30: Triumphal Entry 3: Luke 19:39 - Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!" 40 "I tell you," He replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out." 41 As He approached Jerusalem and saw the city, He wept over it 42 and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace but now it is hidden from your eyes. 43 The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. 44 They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you." (NIV)

Ok, let's get going. We see in verse 39 that some of the Pharisees wanted Jesus to rebuke His disciples, in other words, they wanted Jesus to tell His disciples to be quiet when they were shouting and singing joyfully. You can tell that Jesus wanted His disciples to be joyful and since Jesus is the same today, He wants us to be the same way. And Jesus to this day will not rebuke us if we are speaking out for Him. Remember that Jesus is one friend that you can always count on to be there for you. You are a friend of Jesus, right? (Yes, I had to ask.) Now let's move on, when Jesus saw all the excitement when He came to Jerusalem, He wept! Now men, those of you who are like me, and sometimes the tears flow fast. When you are happy, or maybe even a little sad that little bitty tear lets you down. Well brothers, Jesus set the example for us, it is ok for we men to cry... No man who ever walked this earth was stronger and tougher than our Lord Jesus, and He cried. So brothers, it is ok, don't be afraid, and if someone tells you about shedding that tear, just tell them "Jesus wept."

Now let me take a fast look at the rest of this scripture on the Triumphal Entry, the part we most often don't hear about. Even with all those people praising Jesus He is giving this warning, He really is. Read the scripture again, here it is. 43 - The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.

Luke 19:44 - "They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you." (NIV)

Folks, dear brothers and sisters, most often we just see the joy on Palm Sunday, but we must take time to look at this. We must know our Lord Jesus as our personal Savior so we will be "out of here" before all of this happens. So folks, I must do this as I close for today.

Do you know Jesus as your personal Savior? If your answer is yes, pray for your sins to be forgiven and get that fresh start. But if your answer is no, then pray today for Jesus to come into your heart, confess you love Him, and then after that go to work for Him.

I nor no one else can pray you into heaven after your eyes have closed. No one can ask Jesus to save you, while we can ask Him to hear your prayers, Salvation is one on one, Jesus and you. No we in this one, for I am saved and I pray all of you are also. So let me get you started by praying a sinner's prayer, now I can only lead you. So let's pray again.

Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive me of my sins, and Lord, I confess that I love You, and I ask that You forgive me of my sins. I know You died for me, and You were risen from the dead. Please, dear Lord, come into my heart today. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Now, folks, you are started, now you must get to work for Jesus. If you need help in this, you may call me... If you need a church, please let me know and also where you live, I will help you find a GOOD ONE.

Thurs. Mar. 29, 2012 Triumphal Entry 2

Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as He had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, "Why are you untying the colt?" They replied, "The Lord needs it." They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. As He went along people spread their cloaks on the road. When He came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen. "Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Peace in heaven and glory in the highest."

Good Thursday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters (although you might receive this Wednesday Evening). Thursday and the day we pray for our churches, and please pray for GOD'S CHURCH. Pray for all the pastors also. Pray for families and again that includes the "family of God." Also on Thursdays we pray for schools and all that enter them. From pre-school to schools of higher education. And remember to pray for all those who ride or drive the "yellow cheese," that is the kids' name for the school bus. Please keep praying for all others on our prayer list this week. As always, pray for God's will to be done. Please pray for our Easter food distribution this Saturday. We have it all packed out and ready and are expecting just over 30 families. However, the harvest is ready and packed and the workers are few. If you have some time on Saturday and can be here from 11:30 AM and we will be open till 3:00 PM. However, the most help is needed 11.30 AM till about 1:00 to 1:30 PM. Dear Father in Heaven, Please forgive us of our sins, and Father, let me make it personal, please forgive me of my sins. And Lord, help us, and again I need to make it personal, so help me to repent. Dear Father, help me now with the message, and please open it to those who read it. Lord, be in our churches and our homes and in our schools, and yes, Lord, as far as I am concerned, you are welcome in the public schools. Please, Lord, help parents learn that they need to send You into the public schools with their kids. Help parents tells their children about Jesus so the children can tell other children. Oh, Lord, how our public schools need You. All schools need You, Lord, but those public schools seem to just want to throw You out. And Lord, please answer our other request, and as always, we pray Your will be done and not ours... In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Brothers and sisters, I left you with this yesterday, why a donkey colt that was never ridden?

Numbers 19:2 - This is a requirement of the law, that the Lord has commanded: Tell the Israelites to bring you a red heifer without defect or blemish and that has never been under a yoke. (NIV)

1 Samuel 6:7 - Now then, get a new cart ready, with two cows that have calved and have never been yoked. Hitch the cows to the cart, but take their calves away and pen them up. (NIV)

Ok, do you see the pattern here, as the animals have never been yoked and even the cart was new... Also, we remember that Jesus' mother, Mary, was a virgin... Now we have this donkey colt that was never ridden so Jesus was the very first on its back. I think this is another way that our Lord is telling us, and this is my opinion, that we are to give off the top when we give to Christ and not just give Him leftovers, and while we might not have unused things to give to our Lord, giving from the top I think shows that we have respect for the Lord.

Now let me move on. So the two disciples that were sent ahead to the village found this colt just like they were told, and yes, they were caught untying it and were asked by the owners, why are you untying my colt? The disciples gave the owners the answer that Jesus told them, "The Lord needs it." And there were no more questions asked according to the account in Luke. So they took this colt back to Jesus and then they put their cloaks, or coats, on the donkey colt for Jesus to sit on. This to me is another sign of respect from the disciples for the Man they have been with during His ministry. Then as the disciples walked and Jesus rode on this donkey people were spreading their coats on the road for Jesus to ride over... Another sign of the love these folks had for Jesus. Then, folks, as Jesus was riding down the hill from the Mount of Olives, the Bible tells us that the disciples began joyfully to praise God.

Psalm 100:1 - Shout for joy to the Lord all the earth. 2 Worship the Lord with gladness come before Him with joyful songs. (NIV)

"Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Peace in heaven and glory in the highest."

I used that bigger print to show you that we were shouting out for the Lord, we are making a joyful noise unto the Lord.

Come on, let's go out singing today... And do it like you mean it...

After Jesus had said this, He went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. As He approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples, saying to them, "Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, 'why are you untying it?' tell him, The Lord needs it."

Salvation Wednesday, my dear brothers and sisters. Oh, how I love Salvation Wednesday, and folks, Salvation through Jesus Christ, which is the ONLY WAY TO HAVE SALVATION... amen.  Today is the day we pray for those who are unsaved that they come to Jesus and also we pray for God to use those of us who are saved to get the word to the lost. Did you know that there are more people lost who can find their way home daily to their earthly home than those who get lost in the woods, etc. Folks, the job of we who are saved is to get the word to the lost so they can not just find their way home to their earthly home, but know their way home to their forever home in heaven so as to prevent them from going to their forever home in hell. Also keep praying for Leslie and her son. Leslie is born again, her son is trying hard to walk with Satan. New in today, prayers for Lonewolf (Native American) who has had breast surgery for cancer. Please keep praying for Allison and if you did not read yesterday's message, please do it... Also pray for the others on our list. Prayer next today.

Dear Father in Heaven, to start Salvation Wednesday and to talk to others about Salvation, we all need to be clean, so Lord, I pray today that you will forgive me of my sins and help me to repent of them and then after that please help me to work in your fields of harvest every day, not just on what we call Salvation Wednesday. Lord, lead us to the unsaved and help us to lead them to your feet to be saved. Also, Lord, we pray again for Allison that she is healed of cancer as she puts total faith in Your healing hand. Also, Lord, please answer our other requests, and as always, Lord, thy will be done. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

March 28: The Triumphal Entry: Luke 19:28 - After Jesus had said this, He went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. 19 As He approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples, saying to them, 30 "Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 31 If anyone asks you, 'why are you untying it?' tell him, The Lord needs it."

Ok, brothers and sisters, today we are going to start looking at the events leading up to what we call Palm Sunday. It was a wonderful day in the life of Jesus on that day we call Palm Sunday. Let's get started by looking into the scripture of today. Bethphage and Bethany were little villages near Jerusalem, which was the home of Mary, Martha and Lazarus. As Jesus approached Jerusalem He sent two of His disciples ahead into a "village". We do not know which of the little towns that the disciples went to, but my footnotes tell me more than likely it was Bethphage. The names of the towns are not the important part, it was what happened. So these two disciples went ahead as ordered to find this Donkey Colt that was never ridden and they were to untie it and bring it to Jesus.  If someone sees them and questions them they are to say, the Lord needs it. Wait a minute, did Jesus just send two of His disciples ahead to "steal" a donkey colt? I need to check this out a tad, hold on a minute. Ok, of course He did not sent them to steal it, for it was put there in place by God so it would be ready for this ride in. But let me see, today I am going to go down to a farm, walk in and get a donkey and bring it out saying the Lord needs it. I would get shot and/or arrested, and why, because, and listen to me on this one, because, are you ready for this answer? Because the Lord did not send me to get it. I would be acting on my own. We always should do what the Lord asks us to do, and be sure the Lord will not ever ask you to break the laws and/or the commandments.

Ok, why did He want that colt that was never ridden, and just why a Donkey Colt? Let's talk first about a donkey. Have you ever seen a donkey and the cross on their back? Yes, all donkeys have a cross on their back... Now why the colt that was never ridden? We'll about that... SEE YOU TOMORROW... When we find out why a never ridden colt and more about Jesus'  entry into Jerusalem...

Tue. Mar. 27, 2012 Walking in Faith

Matthew 15:28 - Then Jesus answered: "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed from that very hour. (NIV)

Matthew 9:2 - Some men brought to him a paralytic laying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith He said to the paralytic, "Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven." (NIV) The paralytic then picked up his mat and walked away, healed by Jesus through their faith in Him.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. Today we have a few prayer requests and it is also the day we pray for cures for cancer, heart problems and other diseases of all types. Cures for them. Along with that we keep praying for Pastor Larry Hale and Pastor Carolyn Sites, pastors at Glenvale Church of God. Also for Valerie who has breast cancer and new on this list today, for Mae Rambo who had eye surgery yesterday. Also a mother, Leslie has asked for prayer for her son Travis (last names withheld by me). Leslie is an on-fire Christian and her son Travis is as put, walking with Satan, going down the wrong road. Also please keep praying for our other Leslie who needs a bunch of prayers and also for Vicki...

Now folks, I was going to start a message geared toward Palm Sunday, however, I will get started on that tomorrow. As you know, God guides me in what to write and this just came in this morning... Let me background you a bit. It is about Allison, a young lady we have been praying for over the years as she has cancer. She found out about this cancer when in High School and she has been treated since. The cancer was in remission for a while and we praised the Lord, and now the cancer is back. Allison is now at Messiah College and has written about this cancer and her plans for how she is going to handle it... I think we just need to read it the way she wrote it. And then, my dear brothers and sisters, I am requesting that you put her on your daily prayer list, tack her name someplace where you do not forget to pray for her. I am asking that you look at this young lady as if she was your child and put those kinds of prayers into her, and have FAITH THAT GOD WILL ANSWER THEM. My closing will be after her words... This starts with her mother... I have not changed anything.

The following update was written by Allison for each of you. Allison had a
CT of the lungs and abdomen and an MRI of her liver at Hopkins on Thursday.
The results were not what we have hoped or prayed for. I think it is best to
let you read Allie's email. In His Love and Peace, Zina

I have struggled over how and when to tell everyone the results of my scans.
Today I read a devotion about the carnality of our flesh and the war that is
waged within ourselves. The flesh longs to explain away what it does not
understand, to hide the undesirable parts of itself. But, those who walk in
the spirit stand bare before the Lord and wholly trust. Easier said than
done, right? Well, allow me to stand bare:

The doctors determined that I have new lesions in both of my lungs. Surgery
is no longer an effective option. There is a new chemo drug that they are
offering to try which is a pill I would take every day. Its side effects are
mild and I will not lose my hair or become violently ill. Right now, in the
eyes of many specialists, it looks as if I will be battling this cancer for
a long time, possibly my entire life. That is their opinion. I choose God's
truth over that opinion. Yes, God has gifted doctors to aid in our healing
and he does work through them but I feel in my spirit that in this instance
I need to wait on the Lord.

What does this mean? It means that I will not be starting the chemo they
recommend right now. I have decided to wait 3 weeks and then get another
scan. In that time I will receive no treatment or cancer-related medication.
I trust wholly in the Lords goodness and grace. He is greater than any
medicine, any doctor and any surgery. He can see what we cannot find, heal
what we cannot fix, redeem what we see as unredeemable. I don't claim any
special understanding or revelation. I simply claim God's love. I believe in
my depths that he can heal me. I believe without a doubt that in 3 weeks my
scans can be clear. That is not through any special faith or work of my own.
It is by the mercy and healing of God. I have not given him complete control
over this. I did not feel, up until now, that I should not act upon the
doctor's opinions. However, there is a knowing in my spirit that tells me
this time, to wait on the Lord. He is not done here.

I would ask that you believe with me. Thank God for what he has already
done. Praise him for the clear scans I will receive. Do not become angry
because you do not understand. Let your spirit rest in the assurance that
God has nothing but good things planned for us. Do not pity me. I am healed.
Do not treat me as if I am sick. I am healed. Do not act as if God has
stopped working. He has not and will not.

This is not me giving up. This is me surrendering all to Christ in the only
way I know how. When I handed the reigns to God alone, my mind was flooded
with assurance from his word: Romans 4:18- "Abraham against all hope, in
hope believed.", John 20:29 "blessed are those who have not seen and still
believe". The woman who had a bleeding disorder for 12 years sought help
from everywhere but then she turned to Jesus and believed if she could only
touch his robe she would be healed. When she did she was SUDDENLY made whole
and Jesus said "Take heart daughter, by your faith you are healed." I heard
these words in that moment when I made my decision. As I said before, I
don't claim any great faith that brings this about. I simply know God's
love.

At Powerhouse last night (Powerhouse is a student-led praise and worship
service on Thursday nights at Messiah) God spirit was moving in an amazing
way. We sang "Your great name", a song by Natalie Grant. I would encourage
you to go on YouTube and listen to it. It assured me that this is what I
need to be doing. I know God will heal me.

Father God, I thank you for your sustaining grace. I thank you for the
warriors and men and women of courage that you have raised up through this
battle with cancer. I praise you for your goodness and amazing love. I thank
you for the healing I have received from you. Continue to make my body
whole. Continue to pour out your grace. In your word you say that you will
give us the desires of our hearts. That if we only ask, we will receive. You
know the desires of my heart. I ask, in Jesus name, that in three weeks my
scans will be clear and all cancer will be completely gone from my body
forever. Thank you, thank you, thank you for healing me.

I ask this humbly and wholly.

Brothers and sisters I am back... Let's pray...

Dear Father in Heaven, hear our prayers this day for all those on our prayer list, and we ask Your will be done in all cases. However, Lord, we do want to just really lean on You today for healing of Allison from cancer from the top of her head to the tip of her toes and every spot in between. Lord,  stand with her family and her church family as they walk this walk with her. Lord, hear our prayers in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Monday March 26, 2012 Wise Investing

"He replied: 'I tell you that to everyone who has more, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away. But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them, bring them here and kill them in front of me.'"

Good Monday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. Monday (well, it is Sunday evening as I write this), Monday and the day we pray for our leaders, so please pray for President Obama as he is in South Korea and pray for his safe return. Also pray for him that if he is not saved that he will have a come to Jesus meeting. Prayers also on this a Monday for all our other leaders, our veterans, military, police, firefighters, and all those who work to keep us safe and healthy. Please remember your family doctor!! Please keep praying for Pastors Larry and Carolyn from Glenvale Church of God. Prayers today for Valeria who has breast cancer. And pray for the family of Lester Betz who went home to be with the Lord. His daughter "Sue" is a long time prayer warrior on this line. Pray for Romaine Lehman (my last living Aunt) who is in the Carlisle Hospital. Please keep praying for Vicki, and please keep my dear wife in your prayers. Dolores is now down to 97 pounds. Prayers also for the men at Sonshine Ministries and for that ministry.

Sunday Morning as church was about to begin, one of the activity workers asked to make an announcement. This never happened before, so Dolores stopped playing her prelude and much to our surprise we were given a card signed by those in church and more. Today was our ninth anniversary at The Bridges. After I finished crying I got back on track. God is good, and on this date at the end of the service Dolores joined me at the door and in front of all of the folks at the Bridges and more importantly in front of God, we made this promise. If the Bridges keeps the door open for us, and until God calls us home, we will not retire, we will go forward. I also told the flock, don't be shocked if God calls me home while preaching, or singing. God is good and I want to work for Him forever and ever. Please pray for us as we move forward... March 26: Wise Investing! Luke 19:26 - "He replied: 'I tell you that to everyone who has more, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away. 27 But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them, bring them here and kill them in front of me.'" (NIV)

To get the full benefit of this message you need to read Luke 19:11/27.  I just do not think I need to type it all out, please get out your Bibles. For those who read your message at work, please put a Bible in your desk drawer and please read it ON YOUR OWN TIME like lunch. To just put in a few words the first part of the scripture, this is about a man who wanted to become King, and trusted to people some money, referred to as minas, for today's writing I will just call it dollar coins, for the amount of dollars does not make the message, it is what was done with the money.

It seems this man who wanted to be a king gave dollars to ten workers before he left to try and be king. Some of his enemies tried to stop him, but he was made king anyway. When he returned he asked those who he gave dollars what they did with it. This is the way it went. The first man was asked what did he do with the ten dollars given him and he said he invested it and made ten more. The king then said, "Well done, my good servant!" He was then given ten cities to look after. The next man invested just five dollars and he was given five cities to look after. The next man did not invest any and the king took back what was given to him and gave it to the one who already had invested his... Then that man complained to the king saying he already has his... Now let's move on with the scripture and how Jesus is relating this "The Parable Of The Ten Minas."

Here is what God has given me about this message. If we invest in our King, who is Jesus, our investments will grow and grow, and the more we invest the more our investments grow. I am sure you remember how we have been told not to put our God to a test, except in one thing, and that would be our giving. But wait a minute, my dear brothers and sisters, this is not just about those dollars, this is about investing in our King Jesus. This is in investing time in the scriptures. Folks, each day Jesus opens up scriptures to me, some over and over again with different meanings. Just tells us that Everyone who has more, more will be given. And folks, I am going to use myself as an example of this. As most of you know I struggle to read, I have never and I maybe should not tell the world about this, but I have never read a complete book, except for books in the Bible, yet God has set me down at this computer for over 15 years now and I have been writing daily messages. I still struggle in the old testament with how to pronounce words, but it has been getting better and better over the years, and so has my spelling. (Dolores and Pam don't yell at me as much anymore.) Dolores, my wife, and Pamela, my singing partner, were both trained secretaries and spelling pros. Ok, they did not yell, but I would hear about it and I am thankful for that for my spelling of words is getting much better. Back to the message. My investment in time in the Bible has been increased over and over again and again.

But what about those who have little and did not invest it and it was taken from them? Well, if we talk dollars you just need to understand this, if you give to the Lord off the bottom, there is never any left to give to God, but when you make your investment off the top your investment will grow. The same way goes with your knowledge of the Lord, if you do not invest in Him, what you have learned might just be taken away. Ok, another story about me... When I was but a child, (yes the streets were still dirt) I sang in the children's choir and then I started in the youth choir, but when I started to work, the car came first and I dropped out of the choir. My dear late mother told me, that if I don't use my voice God gave me, He might just take it away. Now mamma thought I was a good singer, but then all mothers would say that, right? Anyway, my voice went bad, I was called "fog horn" by some in high school and one teacher signed my year book like this "Nice going, fog horn." Three times I had to have my vocal cords fixed... Then years ago I got started singing in a church choir, and there met Pamela and we practiced and practiced and my voice came back, True story, folks, and I pray my mamma hears me loud and clear as she sits with Jesus in Heaven.

Ok, I need to wrap it up, but I must look at that last line, "But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them, bring them here and kill them in front of me.'" Just how in the world would Jesus handle this? Folks, it is like this, those enemies of Jesus, those non-believers on their judgment day, will be, if they have not come to Jesus,   tossed into the fire... we just looked at that last week. Avoid the fire, come to Jesus...

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for the message of today, and Father, please forgive us and forgive me of my sins. Help us all, including me,  repent of our sins, and Lord, look over our prayer requests and answer them as to your will... In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

Fri/Sat March 23/24 2012 Our Souls

Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. We live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So we make it our goal to please Him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

Good Early Saturday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. Friday and then into the weekend is when we pray for all those going into the field of Harvest working for Jesus. Please pray for Glenvale Church as they are under attack from the enemy. Please keep praying for Pastor Larry as he recovers from bypass surgery. On his phone message Friday evening he sounded very, very tired. Now the assistant pastor, Pastor Carolyn, had a heart attack. She had a stent installed and is recovering. Please keep Tim Beitzel, singer, song writer, and teacher of the Bible, and a good electrician also, as he is in prayer about his future. Folks, when we work for the Lord, Satan will try and take us down, if they cannot get to you they will go after family members. We need to hang on to Jesus and work hard getting all in our families to do the same... Pray warriors pray, pray Satan away.

John 11:25,26 - Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies, and every one who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?" (NIV)

A couple of days ago, a gentlemen, more than likely just coming to the Lord, asked me a couple of questions. His first question was, I am a sinner and I am afraid I will not get into heaven. So I went over the steps to Christ with him and told him Christ will forgive all his sins. He said that even when he tries to not sin some things still cause him to sin. I assured him that we all mess up from time to time and Jesus will forgive us, but we need to try hard to repent of those sins.

His second question he asked was about his soul, where does his soul go when he dies. He also asked about his body. His brother had just passed, and I am sure this gentlemen was just coming to Christ as he really wanted to know these things. I did my best to make the answer simple and pointed out the two scriptures that are above. Last night I was not coming up with a subject, God did not lay one on me and I tried a few on my own, only to just stop writing and wait upon the Lord. I have now been awake all night and the message came. If this gentlemen needed some help with what happens to our soul, maybe some of you do also. The scripture above backs up this very short statement. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I told him about how Jesus died for us to take our sins away, and how Jesus being risen from the dead shows we who love Him will do the same someday. That is also supported with the scripture above.

Brothers and sisters, when someone asks you a question about the Lord, please try your best to answer them and support them with scripture. There is no problem if you cannot quote a scripture off the top of your head. I for one need to research them a lot and sometimes I have even called people back after researching scriptures and/or running them past some of my pastor friends like Tim Beitzel, Neil Enloe, Phil Enloe, Larry Hale, and Duane Nicholson. God is good, and while I am an old man, I was what I call a late call pastor picking up my net to follow Jesus and spread the word fulltime after retiring from my employment.

Dear Father in Heaven, Thanks for the message, and Father, please post Your angels around Pastors Larry and Carolyn and the Glenvale church and protect them. Thanks for watching over all of us, and please, dear Lord, protect all who are working for You in the fields of harvest. And heal those who have been on our lists as per Your will for them. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Thursday March 22, 2012 Lip Service

He replied, "Isaiah was right when he prophesized about you hypocrites; as it is written; These people honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me."

Good Thursday Evening, my dear brothers and sisters. What a great day, but I am tired, but really want to get this message out.

Thursday is the day we pray for churches and remember to pray for God's Church (and be sure you belong to that one). Pray also for families and please remember the family in the White house... Also we pray for our schools on this day. Please pray also for talk show host Rush Limbaugh, a song has been put out calling for people to "kill him".  Please also pray for Jeff, who has had a new knee, and it failed, and he has been having a long rehab his replacement. Jeff is a very active farmer, milking over 2500 head of cattle three times a day. Also pray for Leslie who has some health issues. Please keep praying for Pastor Larry.

Praise Report... This morning bright and early Essis Carpet Sales came to our home and installed a beautiful bright red, commercial grade carpet in our new building now being referred to as "Santa's House." The carpet and labor to install it was donated to our ministry. Please consider Essis, Carlisle Pike Mechanicsburg, when/if you get carpet...

March 22. Lip Service: Mark 7:6 - He replied, "Isaiah was right when he prophesized about you hypocrites; as it is written; These people honor me with their lips but their hearts are far from me." 7 "They worship me in vain, their teachings are but rules taught by men." (NIV)

I just want to take a quick look at this scripture tonight as I am very tired. Did you ever just give lip service to anyone? Come on, be truthful here, have you ever told someone you would do something that you had no intention of doing? Men, man up here, have you ever told your wife, honey, I will do that tomorrow and tomorrow never gets here (guilty as charged)?  How often has someone given you lip service? You know, you spend hours and hours on the phone on hold, and then someone tells you they will correct that thing you are calling about, maybe a bill, or an order you placed. The person on the phone tells you they will take care of it, and you smile, but the end result never arrives. When I look back on my life, I gave my parents enough lip service about doing my homework that should have lasted me a life time.

But what about God, do you give God lip service? Let me change that wording a tad, do WE give God lip service? Do we pray and pray, but do not live the life that Jesus expects us to live? That is lip service, folks. We tell others all about God, but don't live it ourselves.

I confess that over the years, I have done lip service to my Lord Jesus and am so thankful that He still forgives my many sins.

So what do we need to learn from this? When it comes to others, try not to tell people anything that you really can't get done or have no intentions of doing... In other words, SPEAK THE TRUTH in all you say. When dealing with God, talk to Him in prayer, have some "one on one" time with Him, and then we need (we again, folks) then we need to work hard to honor what we talk to Jesus about.

Maybe I could have just said this... Don't just talk the talk, please also walk the talk and live the talk... Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive me when I have over the years given You lip service, Help me repent of sins and live each day to honor You... Please look over our prayer requests and honor them according to your will. In Jesus' name,  Amen.

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. This is how we know that we love the children of God, by loving God and carrying out His commands. This is love for God to obey His commands. And His commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

Salvation Wednesday Evening, my dear brothers and sisters, and a real beautiful day at that. Of course on Wednesday we pray for salvation for the lost and also pray for God to use we who are saved to work to bring in the lost. Praise report... Today while out mowing grass for some folks, Grant Crocket lost his hearing aid. On their way home they planned to stop and break bread with us and he had just missed his hearing aid. So as we prayed over our dinner, we also prayed over that hearing aid. He called the folks where he was mowing and told them of this loss, and they walked out in the area he was working and found this tiny aid... Is God good or what? God is good... Let's get to the message this evening.

God led me to this passage for this salvation Wednesday. As we know, or should know by now, to have salvation through Jesus we must be "Born Again". As we look at that first verse, everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Let me stop right there for a minute. If you do not believe and have faith that Jesus is the Christ and that He is born of God, there is no way you are born again. This is pretty basic stuff. And if you are not Born Again you are not saved, and if you are not saved and you cash in your chips, buy the farm, fall over dead, or have the big one, or kick the bucket, or whatever you want to call dying, you are not heading to heaven. Now, brothers and sisters, that is not judging you, that is just telling you some basic facts about getting into heaven and getting our place in the mansion and seeing Jesus face to face.

So how do we know that we love God? After all, it is faith based and we must have faith, but we must also do some other things. One of those is carry out His commands, yes, the commands of Jesus we must carry out. You know sometimes in life you get blessed and maybe someone gives you a free pass to say Hershey Park, or Disney World, or Disney Land, or the Museum of Bus Transportation at the AACA Museum in Hershey, but you can be sure of this...  No one is handing out free passes to Heaven except for Jesus, and although they might be free to us, Jesus paid for them with His life because He loves us. Again we cannot buy our way in, but there is work involved in this, we do not catch a "free" ride so to speak, for we must show our faith by obeying the commands of Jesus and working for Him.

Obeying the commands of our Lord Jesus shows our love for Him and they are not burdensome for those who love Him. But they are not always easy for we need to repent of our sins to carry out His work. Ok, so I said it is not always easy but it is not burdensome. Oh, no I sound like I am running for office on that one. Let me just in wrapping this message up today explain that one. If we love Jesus and carry out the commands they are not burdensome to us, Jesus would not have made them that way. But when I say not always easy it is because in a lot of cases it involves a complete makeover for us. I am telling you right now, when you invited Jesus into your heart, you changed, and if you did not change from your old ways, then you better be taking another look in the mirror and be sure you are walking with Jesus. FOR YOU CANNOT COME TO JESUS AND NOT CHANGE!! Someone want to say amen to that one! And once you are saved, you can tackle all the problems the world throws at you, and with the help of Jesus you will overcome all of them.

Dear Father in Heaven, I know I am unworthy of Your love, but You never stop loving me and I know that, but Lord, I sometimes must question that I am doing enough for You and that I am doing what I do for You because I love You. Today I ask as You forgive me of my sins that You open doors to keep leading people to Your feet to be saved. And Lord, this day, will you please look at our prayer requests and honor them according to Your will. And Lord, this young lady and man need some help getting a plumbing business going stronger. Lord, please bless Jeff and Danelle and touch that business. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Oh, and Lord, thanks for finding that hearing aid for Grant.

Tuesday March 20, 2012 Burning Brush

He answered, "The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out His angels and they will weed out of His kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears let him hear."

Good Tuesday, first day of spring, my dear brothers and sisters. It is a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Tuesday and the day we pray for cures for all those diseases. Please keep praying for Pastor Larry as he recovers from his bypass surgery. Dolores has no side effects after her fall on Monday evening. Praise God for that. I had my appointments today for my pre-surgery and am on line for my new knee on April 18.

Please pray for the people in Mexico, they had an earthquake,  7.8 on the scale. Also pray for one of the "first children", one of President and Mrs. Obama's girls. She is traveling in Mexico with a group of her classmates and 25 armed secret service persons.

I have been honored to be asked, and I accepted, to fill in for Pastor Larry at their Easter SONrise service on Easter Sunday Morning.  I will give you additional details as I get them all. God is good, and I am so blessed.

Brothers and sisters, as I go over this scripture and you will notice something that is a lot like yesterday when I wrote about the "Fish Fry" and the bad fish were thrown into the fiery furnace. Today it will be brush or weeds. But before I get started on that, I want to go to the last verse I wrote today. "He who has ears let him hear." Now these are the words of our Lord Jesus and I think these seven words, these 22 little letters and six spaces make a sentence or statement that we need to listen to. Let me put it down again for you. In the words of Jesus, "He who has ears let him hear." Brothers and sisters, the last I looked we were born with two of them and our ears are made for us to hear things, and to LISTEN to and for things. Sometimes we talk so much that we do not take time to listen, or the only one we take time to hear is our own mouth. Again today I used these two words, we and our, and in fact I used the word we three times in that one statement. We and our means = me and you. I always want to point out this in my message for God does not just give me a message for you, folks, he knows I need it also. Sometimes I think I need to preach my message to the mirror if you know what I mean. I once practiced my musical instrument in front of the mirror as my teacher said I should watch I don't puff out my cheeks! Well, was my mom mad, when I smashed the mirror, (no smart remarks about being so ugly I broke the mirror,) but dumb I was as I also slid out the slide on that trombone and smashed the mirror. Anyway, most often when God speaks to us, it is because He wants to talk to us, and about us and sometimes what we are to be doing with others. I know He talks to me about sin and repenting from sin a lot and I know He really wants me to fully repent, and folks, I do try hard, and I know I am a sinner.

Now let's look at the good seeds and the weed seeds. Now I think all of us know that we are going to get what we sow and work for and God will help us with that, but right now let's look ahead and see what those seeds  produced. Again I ask you to look back to yesterday and how the fishermen separated the good fish from the bad, and the good fish put in baskets and the bad ones thrown into a fiery furnace to be completely burnt. Today we see the same with the fields. It would be like a farmer cutting down a wheat field and then picking out all the weeds that were in the harvest and tossing them into a fiery furnace. Machines now do it, but it is the same, the weeds are destroyed, often times burnt up, and the good are keepers. The same will be for man at the end of the age.

Let me make it very clear, at the end of the age, those who are good and love Jesus and have confessed and worked hard for Him, will be the keepers and the rest will be tossed into HELL... Heaven or Hell, folks, the road has been planned and put into place, Jesus made the way for us to be with Him and Satan has made plans for a way you can be with him... YOUR CHOICE, FOLKS, no pastor, no preacher, no Sunday school teacher, no priest, not even the Pope can get you into heaven, Jesus and only Jesus, not even your loving mother, even if she is in heaven, cannot twist the arm of Jesus to let you in. You are on your own. AM I BEING CLEAR ON THIS???

I am sure that some on the line once in a while will say, does he, meaning me, ever talk about things other than getting into heaven? And yes, I do, but the number one charge in my life by God is to work hard for Him, getting others to His feet to be saved. I cannot go to Jesus and say, Lord Jesus, I worked hard to get this man to You, please cut him a break, he died last night and please let him in and work on him later. It does not work that way. I am not the judge, and if you want to twist the arm of Jesus go have at it, twist His arm, I mean talk to Him about your salvation. Look, bottom line is, it is between Jesus and you anyway.

I talk to Him a lot. and no. it is not enough. I will talk to Him again, and what goes hand in hand with that talking I do with Jesus... Here is that line one more time, right from the Bible, folks, in the words of Jesus. " He who has ears let him hear."

Dear Lord, Father in Heaven, please help us, help me to just be still and listen. I know it is one of my downfalls along with sinning among other things. Help me, Lord, to repent and be healed. Thanks for all You do for us. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Monday March 19, 2012 "Fish Fry"

"Once again the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away. This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

Good Monday evening, my dear brothers and sisters. It is Monday evening and it was a nice day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Today was "run around" day for Dolores and myself. It started out with a doctors appointment for me at 7.00 AM.  My family doctor gave me the go for my knee surgery, pending blood test results. They also did a urine test, and they did not tell me in advance. Last time I had a urine test I knew it was coming so I studied for it. After my doctors visit it was off with Dolores to one of her doctors, then she had to go someplace else for blood tests. Then I hooked onto a trailer and went for hay for the goats. After loading the hay the owner of the farm returned my money saying, "Use the money for the food bank, I will furnish the goat hay this time." God is so good. Please keep praying for Pastor Larry who had a triple bypass that went well and he is now home resting. Monday is also the day we pray for our leaders, our troops, veterans, police, firefighters, and all others who work to keep us safe and healthy. Please keep praying for Dolores, she had a bad fall this evening. She got new sneakers, and folks, new sneakers are very slippery. She seems ok, had two goose eggs on her forehead. Pray also for our Easter distribution from the food bank. This will occur on Saturday March 31, 2012, and we could use a few helpers to load cars between 11.30 AM and 2.00 PM.   We will be calling some people to help pack food, and more than likely we will do that this coming Saturday. We had a new family in today and we gave them four bags of canned goods, two bags of frozen food including a LOT of chicken and they asked, "where is the ham?" Told them we did not have any, and they cost too much to buy. They understood that!! Please pray for "Val" as she has breast cancer. Pray also for Ron who has cancer.

March 19, 2012 "Fish Fry" Matthew 13:47 - "Once again the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. 48 When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away. 49 This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous 50 and throw them into the fiery furnace where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." (NIV)

Brothers and sisters, this is Jesus teaching in a Parable called the Parable of the Net. As you read the scripture, let it come to life for you, pray about it and read it again and again. What Jesus is telling you here is the good fish in His example will be separated and put in a basket. Let us look at that, the good fish, meaning the righteous, those who are saved, will be gathered to be with Jesus. Now let's look at the rest of the fish, they are thrown into a fire, a "Fish Fry" I called it. Again we see where the non-believers and those who do not walk with Jesus will be sent... into the fiery furnace, and they burn forever and ever. Now let me call it like it is,  folks, folks, just going to church does not cut it, just confessing your sins and not repenting does not cut it, and even doing those things and then not working for Jesus also does not cut it. You do not want to be part of the fish fry, and trust me there will be some good people in that fiery furnace. Folks, that fiery furnace, is Hell, folks. We want to be gathered in the end to be with Jesus. We need to each take a deep look at our self and be sure we are in good standing with Jesus. Once again I used the word "WE" for as I write to others I also want to be sure of myself being in good standing with God. I know there is so much more than just praying to get rid of sins but it does make a good starting place for today, so let's go to God and ask to be forgiven and then let's do our very, very best to repent and walk with Jesus.

Dear Father in Heaven, I am indeed a sinner, and I really need to repent of my sins and I confess I need help doing that. Lord, please forgive me this day of my sins and please help me repent and stay clean, and Lord, as You give us all more time on earth, help us please to walk that day with You. Please, Lord, help us, also Lord, please watch over our leaders and answer our prayers according to Your will for those folks. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Friday March 16, 2012 "Signs" 5

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you, He is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.

Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, and welcome to Friday. Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day and it seems the most important part of that day anymore has become parties and booze. 'Tis a shame that some people think they must have fun by drinking and partying. I like to have fun in the Lord. And folks, I do not have a hangover the next day. When you get together with a group of people who love to sing the gospel, and shout for the Lord, we really do have fun. Folks, if you have never tried it before, you just got to find out what it is like to "get high on Jesus." Many a time Dolores and I went to Harrisburg to the Forum building for a night of good gospel music, starting at 7.00 PM often we were still hearing and singing along well past 11.00 PM.  God is good. Groups would go up, the newer groups opening for others, and then after all the groups sang, there would be a short break and then all the groups would come out together, one of those great piano players would sit down and it would start. And folks, when the night was over, you did not need to hire extra security or police because of fights in the streets, and no one needed to have a designated driver. 

Friday and the day we pray for all those going into the fields of harvest for the Lord, and today, since I am talking about them, please pray for those "gospel singers" among others.

March 16: Signs: Luke 2:11 - Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you, He is Christ the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. (NIV)

I was reminded by my cousin Martha yesterday about how the atheists are trying to "steal away" what Christians do. A few examples over the years are getting the Lord thrown out of public schools. The atheists and one of their groups (ACLU) had the Bible reading removed, then praying, and they are even trying to stop kids from praying before they eat. The Bible has pointed out to us how this would happen that if we stood up for Jesus people would come after us. I am sure you have noticed that the tighter we get with Christ, the more Satan wants to take us down. Sometimes even go after our families. But God is good and if you read the back of the book you will find that in the end, WE WIN. Recently atheists put up a billboard in Harrisburg and pulled a Bible verse out of context and put a picture of a black man in chains with the caption, Slaves obey your masters. And yes, it caused some problems. Folks, you will find that atheists will try their hardest to turn the Bible into a weapon against us. Folks, that is just one good reason why you need to be "digging" into the word of God, so when they pull scriptures out of context you can "stand on the Word of Jesus" and fight back.

Another thing I want to bring up today is about abortion. Yesterday a man was in court after being arrested for shooting his wife and killing her and also killing the baby that was in her womb. He was booked on TWO counts of murder. Now answer me this, if it is a baby when this man shot his wife, and his child in the womb, please tell me why in heaven's name it is not murder when a SO-CALLED DOCTOR and his group of murdering nurses kill one unborn after another. Now you talk about atheists taking away things from Christians, we find that the atheists have a lot of friends in courts and most on the supreme court. Brothers and sisters, I get so upset when I think about this. Why, just yesterday someplace in the United States of America, a future president was murdered, a governor, a supreme court justice, maybe a few senators and some lawyers and even doctors and nurses and yes, you political leaders, a lot of taxpayers.

Anyway, let me get back to the scripture of today and tell you about one of the best signs that have been pointed out to us. The sign was we would find the baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. From that manger, in just a few short years Jesus was on the cross, and that cross is a sign for all of us, that Jesus died on that cross for you and for me. And some of the last words of Jesus. "Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." Folks, I love the cross, be it shown with Jesus hanging on it, or the bare cross. While it is true that Jesus is no longer on the cross, for He is alive and well in heaven, I think it does all of us a lot of good to see Jesus on the cross, I really do for seeing Him on the cross shows us more of what He went through for us. But folks, with all the signs for and about Jesus and even against Him, please remember these words from this old pastor today... Please keep your eyes upon our Lord Jesus, the signs are good reminders along the way, but Jesus is where are eyes need to be. And if you keep your eyes upon the Lord and keep Him in your prayers and most of all in your heart. you will find you will never be alone, and again it says in the end we will win. As for those atheists and for those abortion doctors and nurses, please pray for them. Pray so hard for the atheists that they will feel the heat of hell, and maybe, just maybe they will become believers. AND SOMEONE SAID AMEN.

Dear Father in Heaven, Your word tells us to pray for all those who stand against us. So Lord, today we pray for those who abort the unborn, asking You to touch their hearts and change their hearts. Also we pray today for the unbelievers and ask also You touch their hearts. Lord, we pray today for safety for all those who work in Your fields of Harvest, bless them,  Lord. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work, but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by splendor of His coming. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

Good Thursday Morning from the Southern Location of the North Pole, where the weather is just beautiful and I am enjoying a big tall cup of buttermilk which I have heated and added some chocolate mix. (Yes, it is a tad lumpy, but good tasting.) Thursday is the day we pray for our Churches, (not the buildings) and of course the Church of Jesus Christ. We pray for all families, not just church families, we pray also today for schools and all who enter the buildings. And today please pray for bus drivers and all who ride buses, and not just school buses. Yesterday there were several really bad bus crashes, one hit by a Pepsi truck and the other bus hit a bridge. The bus that hit the bridge was a charter type bus, while the one that was hit by the Pepsi truck was a school bus. Please keep praying for Pastor Larry, who came through his bypass surgery well (THANK YOU JESUS) and is now in rest mode. Wow, we are halfway through March and it has been a calm March for sure. Halfway, gosh what a neat word. Is your glass half full or half empty... How far can one walk into the forest? Just halfway folks, for after that, you would be coming out!! Ok, I will cut it out and get on with the message about signs!!

Brothers and sisters, when we watch for signs, and while some for sure tell us about the end of times that is coming, we also do not want to be deceived for also coming before the Lord returns are the signs that the evil one and his workers will throw in front of us. If we look close now we can see some of those signs that are to deceive us. Some of the people of evil working under the master of evil will try real hard to change we who believe in the truth of Jesus and the Words of our Lord recorded in the Bible. Now we know there are signs of the end of times such as wars and rumors of wars, but I am talking about real evil things brought forth by real evil people who might not even suspect they are working for the evil one. Those evil people will try and sell you on things that are evil or change your mind and unless you are imbedded in the real truth and solid into the word you could be changed. Let's just look at a couple of what I call those signs of what some will call miracles but are the work of evil.

Number one on my list is abortion, those of us that are into the truth know this cannot be right. We know it is not right to kill an unborn baby that even our Lord Jesus knows before they were in the mother's womb. Yet over and over again we see what some would call good people standing by those who want to abort a child saying only this, it is a woman's body and she should have control over it. EXCUSE ME, it was her body before she gave man permission to enter it and plant life and now her body belongs to her and her child. And while a lot of people do not support abortion, they also will not take a stand against it. Folks, the day is coming that we believers will need to take that stand for Jesus and it might cost us our lives.

Next let me mention those WHO WILL NOT WORK. I am not talking here about those who have health issues so bad they cannot work, nor am I talking about the retired here (although we should never retire from working for God).   I am talking about those who just lay around, not working, knowing the government, and those who are seeking election will give them handouts, as will many of us working for Jesus, who tells us we need to help people. But the Bible also tells us this, those who will not work, should not eat. But we are being sold on the fact that some are entitled to stuff so they do not need to work, or even try to work.

We also see it in some people who say they are trying to protect the earth by blocking people from getting things they need. Examples, trees are grown to be used for lumber, those who own those trees must always replant them, otherwise they would run out of trees for lumber and paper. But those trying to block them will drive nails into the trees to damage the saws of the lumberjacks. While those who really know the word and know God in our hearts also know these things were given to us by God to use, and yes, to take care of.

There are so many more signs like this showing up, and people trying to use the Bible against people who do not hold it in complete truth. I have told you before, I believe in the word in our Bible from the beginning to the end. For example, I believe it took just six days to make the earth and on the seventh day God rested from His work. Some will say but days were different in time back then... REALLY, how about those signs we talked about yesterday, the Sun and the Moon which govern the day and night. I guess God speeds them up and slows them down as the mood hits Him? Yeah, Right!! I also believe that scripture that I use often, Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever. (In my words folks.) This scripture stands today.

In closing, I want you to watch for the signs of times from the evil side and do not get trapped up in them or be fouled by them. If you stand firm on the word of Jesus, live for Him and talk to Him a lot, you do not need to fear this. God is good, Also remember when you stand solid on the word, a lot of times others will turn from you, or try and change your mind... Hold steadfast in Jesus, folks. One thing for sure, if you have Jesus in Your heart, solid in your heart, You will know right from wrong for you will feel it in your heart...

Dear Father in Heaven, help us know and understand the truths coming from You and to stay away from those signs that are being sent from evil. And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons, and days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, and it was so. God made two great lights, the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.

Salvation Wednesday, Salvation Wednesday, tell someone about Jesus so they may be saved. Let's go to prayer first today, first asking God to clean us up, even we who are saved, need cleaning, and yes I said we, for we is just me with the first letter upside down. Of course we also has you in there also. Then we will also pray for God to use us to get folks to His feet to be saved.

Dear Father in Heaven, thanks for waking us another day, and Lord, help us to repent and work for You starting first thing and not stopping. Lord, forgive me of my sins, for I am indeed a sinner needing Your saving grace. Help me repent and turn from sin and evil. And Lord, please use me, use us to help bring in the lost and hurting who need You so much. Lord, we do not just need You to get us into Heaven, we need You to walk with us daily, and Lord, I love being in Love with You and others. Thank You for removing hate from my life, and helping me to love all people. Lord, help me and others who are saved to get that good news, that love out to the others. Help us to not just talk the talk but to walk the walk with You. Lord, please be with Pastor Larry and thanks for bringing him through the surgery and now, Lord, please rest him and heal him so he can come back soon and be with his flock... Be with the others on the prayer lists. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.

Brothers and sisters, if I am going to get the word out to you about signs from God I must also get a few of man's signs out to you. Let me talk to you this day about one of those signs. It is called a stop sign, and do you know that a lot of people do not know what they mean? A stop sign means you are to stop!!! No kidding!!! You are to stop!!! I can sit at the end of my driveway and look down the street to the corner where those coming down our street have a stop sign looking at them. I could count the cars that do not stop, they look to the left as they turn to the right and slow down, some almost stop, but a lot do keep those wheels turning. Now as you know, I like to back up what I write with scripture. So here goes... Please turn to the book of Titus 3:1 - Remind the people to be subject to the rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good. (NIV)

Our rulers, or officials, made the traffic laws, and our authorities, police, local sheriff, etc., enforce those laws and we should be respecting those laws and living by them. Next year General Motors is making a car designed for Christians. More than likely it will carry the Cadillac name badge. If the speed limit is, say, 65, the car camera will pick up that speed sign and set the equipment into action. When you go over the speed limit a voice will remind you by saying, "repent, sinner." Once you go past 70 it will repeat it louder REPENT, SINNER, YOU ARE SINNING BY SPEEDING. When you pass 75, a big strong voice comes on speaking these words... THIS IS GOD SPEAKING, I WILL SEE YOU REAL SOON!! Of course I am joking a tad here, but folks, if you want to disobey those signs and break man-made laws you really are sinning, you really are, because God has told us to obey "His" commands and one of those commands is to obey the authorities.

Ok, let's get back to some of God's signs. What bigger and brighter sign do we have from God but the sun, the only bigger and brighter sign is Jesus and we will talk more and more about Him as we get nearer and nearer to the events of the Easter season. And to quote Mr. Buck Rambo who sings this song, "who hung the moon?" And what a sign it is when we see that big, big full moon that just looks like it was just hung there in the sky. And all those stars, and yes, they are signs and all of these stars do point directions. You do remember that one star that was a sign that God placed in the sky for all to follow to the birthplace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Yes, folks, we have a lot of signs that God has made for us, a lot of them. Today a sign is going to be at our home and more than likely yours, a sign of a really nice day, the sun out, no rain, a sign we can do some yard work. Tomorrow, more signs.

Will some of you tell me of a sign that has been put in your life, and then support it with scripture? Yes, men, your wife getting out the rolling pin without getting out any of the other things to roll out pie crusts, etc., just might be a sign she is upset with you... (kidding)

Dear Father in Heaven, please help us through this day and may we each walk in Your steps and walk in Your light and work for You. In the name of Jesus I also ask that You act upon our prayer requests for health and healing, and please remember Pastor Larry and Pastor Kevin and all others on our prayer request lists, and please act on them according to Your will for us. In the name of Jesus I pray thousands of people come to You this spring, I pray a good spring harvest for You. In the name of Jesus I pray.   Amen.
