September 8, 2010 Good News 3

Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.

Salvation Wednesday, Salvation Wednesday, come to Jesus and you will be saved... Again today we pray for the lost, and we pray that God will use us to find the lost and bring them to His feet to be saved. Please remember we cannot save a soul, only Jesus can do that, but we sure can work to get the lost ready, and that is what we are to do. Also remember to keep praying for Vicki, flood heaven with prayers for her, she has so many problems and is getting ready for major, major surgery. Janet is doing better daily. Pray for Blanch and Dale, Sterling and Luella, Stanley and the Vance's, all people from our flock at The Bridges. I was at the heart doctor this morning and he told me I have one, and I told him, "it belongs to Jesus". He did not seem concerned, as what the doctor heard yesterday was not there today... GOD GOT THERE FIRST... I LOVE IT.

Good News 3: Matthew 4:23 - Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. (NIV)

Matthew 9:35 - Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When He saw the crowds He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field." (NIV)

Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (NIV)

PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD. I get excited about the good news of our Lord Jesus and I said this and I will say it again, if you want to hear the good news, put down the newspaper and pick up your Bible. These scriptures that God pointed me to today are so good (as are all of the scriptures). But they fit so well. Look at Matthew 4:23 and also 9:35 and you find this the same in both. "Teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness." And that is really good news, but it gets to be better when we add in Hebrews 13:8 and find out that Jesus is the same today, meaning He is still doing the same things... "teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness." Only now He is working through the hands of others to get out the message, the good news. For example, today He is using me.

Now let's look at that last two verses I have up there, Matthew 9: 37/38 - Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field." Now we know we are the disciples of today and once again I mention that Jesus is the same, so the message is the same. "Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field." Was this timing right today, as He gave it to me on Salvation Wednesday? God just works out all the details for me each day, and if I could just learn to spell!! Anyway, tomorrow we are going to be getting into more and more good news... So don't worry about things of the world and all that bad stuff, listen up and hear the good news, the good, good news of Jesus our King... Tomorrow we are going to find out some more really good news. Please come back...

Dear Father in Heaven, as you know, I am running a tad late again, but You are always there waiting upon us and for us. If we show up late for a doctors appointment we might be sent away, but we are never, ever sent away from You. Thank You, Jesus, for that. Please keep Your hand solid on Vicki and I pray that when this surgery is over all of her health problems are healed by You. Send us out into Your fields today, Lord, and help us to harvest the souls for You. Lord, when one door is closed please open other ones. Lord, thanks for your healing hand on those on our list. Have a great day, Lord, and I pray many come to You this day... In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Go forth, sharing your blessings and telling the good news to all creation. Love Ya, Pastor Dan.
