Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame for I take refuge in You. May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you.
Salvation Wednesday, Salvation Wednesday, pray for people to be saved, Salvation Wednesday, Salvation Wednesday, pray that God uses us to bring them in.
Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters, it is a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole and already a very busy one. I have received an update on Kathleen Sansoni from her husband Tom. Tom and Kathleen are dear friends of ours, I married them years ago in a park in Camp Hill, Pa. Kathleen has cancer, and folks, it is bad, she is going through chemo and more treatments are needed, yet she goes forth for the Lord going to work daily. I will post Tom's note to me at the end of the message today. You will also find some really neat stories about how God has protected people who are on this line.
Salvation Wednesday, the day we pray for the unsaved and that God leads we who are Born Again to them to help lead them to Jesus to be saved. Remember that we cannot save a soul, that is the work of our Lord Jesus, but we are to be working to bring in the crop. And I guess there is a message in this someday, but after we bring in the lost, or harvest the crop, we must keep working with them. A farmer does not stop farming that field after he brings in the corn, he keeps working with the crop, or has someone else do it, shelling the corn, making different things out of it. Then the farmer goes back into the fields and gets ready to get another crop going. Folks, the farmer's work never ends, never, and neither should ours as we work for the Lord.
Prayers also today for Vicki, I have heard nothing from her since her surgery, she said she would call me after surgery as soon as she could. Prayers also for Mark for a job he interviewed for yesterday. And of course prayers of praise for God's protection for all of us. God is protecting us right now, for right now an airplane could drop from the sky and hit your home.
God's Protection 3: Psalm 25: 20 - Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame for I take refuge in You. 21 May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you. (NIV)
Psalm 32: 7 - You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. (NIV)
Psalm 40: 10 - I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and salvation. I do not conceal your love and your truth from the great assembly. 11 Do not withhold your mercy from me, O Lord; may Your love and Your truth always protect me. (NIV)
Yes, brothers and sisters, it is going to be long today, so be with me, for God has planted so much on my mind this day about protection. Let's take a look at the scriptures that God pointed out to me for today and see what He has planted on my mind. First let's look at Psalm 25: 20/21 and let's pray it together.
Dear Father in Heaven, Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame for I take refuge in You. May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in You. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen
That Psalm makes a nice prayer as we ask God to guard our lives and to rescue us if we are in trouble. And folks as we talk about protection, we all at some time or other have had to be rescued. No, you say, you were not drowning in the river or hanging off the roof when the ladder went down? But what about all those sins, did not our Lord Jesus rescue you from your sins? Case closed on that, right?? We have all been rescued and all been protected and chances are it will happen again before we get the call to go home. Our scriptures are really nice, some we can sing, some we can pray, some we can sing and pray and all we can read and learn from and SHARE with others.
Our next scripture Psalm 32: 7 - You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. We are telling our Lord Jesus that we really are going to hide in Him or behind Him, we are going to lean on Him for protection from our troubles and that we also want to sing songs of deliverance. Gosh, a scripture that not just matches the subject but also the day, "Salvation Wednesday". Songs of deliverance, those great gospel singers sing them over and over again. The right songs at the right time can really help open minds and hearts to receive the Lord. I know, folks, for I have been there. Before I started singing, my dear wife on our second date took me to a gospel concert. I will never forget it, I was a young Christian, meaning I had not come to the Lord fully; many months before that date. I had come back after drifting. I will never forget Duane Nicholson coming out to open the concert at the Forum in Harrisburg Pa. Duane led us in Amazing Grace and then prayed for the event. Then two gentlemen came on stage and started to sing "The Old Rugged Cross", and folks, from way back that was and is my hymn, I just love it. Then something else happened, Dr. Jerry Goff came in from the back playing his trumpet, and my heart was opened for the night. Then near the end, a young man came up on stage from the back, he sang this song he wrote, "The Statue of Liberty". Yes, Neil Enloe sang it solo that night. That inspired me so much that I had an artist paint it on one of our motorcycles after Dolores and I got married. Wow, I am getting long here... One more scripture ...
Psalm 40: 10 - I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and salvation. I do not conceal your love and your truth from the great assembly. 11 Do not withhold your mercy from me, O Lord; may Your love and Your truth always protect me.
What does this one tell me? We are not to hide what God gives us, that protection He gives to us, that faithfulness that He gives to us, we do not just want to put it in our hearts, we do not want to hide it there, we want it there, but we also need to process it there and then bring it out over our lips and tell it to the world, it is called THE GOOD NEWS. Then the scripture ends in a short prayer which we are going to use today...
Dear Father in Heaven, Do not withhold Your mercy from us, O Lord, may Your Love and Your truth always protect us, and may it heal Kathleen and Vicki and Dolores and may it help us in all we do this day, as we give thanks for another day on the green side of the grass, dear Lord. Lord, forgive us of our sins this day and use us in the fields to bring in the lost. Because of You, dear Lord, I am born again, and thanks, Lord, for those in my life and those in the lives of others that have brought them in to You for salvation and protection... Lord Jesus, I love You, and I pray in Your name. Amen.
Remember to share how you were protected and take time to read those that have been written. The one from Don is really neat, a different approach on how God protects us. Now go forth sharing those blessings. Love ya, Pastor Dan.
Dear Brother Dan,
I thought I sent you an update on Kathleen's developments yesterday, she went to see the radiation oncologist yesterday and the tumor is in her air passageway in the lung is cancerous, which is separate from the cancer in the sternum which the numbers were down. She will now be required to start pinpoint radiation on that area of the lung where the tumor is, in addition to her regular scheduled chemo treatments. she is obviously disappointed in this new development, which has been bothering her for the last 3 to 4 months, as she has been on oxygen at nights. So, yes the pneumonia was a misdiagnosis. However, God will be glorified out of this whole thing somehow. She is still going too work FT and and her oncologist has had cancer himself, He is Born Again and we are grateful about that. She needs ENCOURAGEMENT from fellow brothers/sisters.

Dear Pastor Dan, We were on our way home from a weekend spent at our little trailer we had up in Ortanna. A red truck was right in our path coming right at us at break neck speed. Burt swerved and we were pretty shook up but Burt and I and our little terrier dog were fine. That truck kept going. Then one new Years Day we thought we would go for a ride through the mountains in Adams County. We always loved driving through the forest. We were going up and all of a sudden we started to slide down the mountain on ice. We were so afraid that we might go over the right side of the mountain. Well as we prayed Burt got our truck stopped and along came a small truck with two men in and said they would help get us turned around and follow us down the mountain. I was sooo scared. They hooked up a heavy chain to our bumper and slick as can be we were turned around and we thanked these men and offered them money which they turned down. Well they were with us part way down the mountain when suddenly they disappeared There were no other roads to turn onto and I have always believed they were our Angels watching over us. Isn't it wonderful how Jesus protects us. Patsy and Burt
