June 23, 2010 The Perfect Rock!

He is the Rock, His works are perfect!!

Good Salvation Wednesday Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. It is a beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Let me start out with a Praise report this morning... It was about six years ago I met a man, who I have come to know and love. His name is Thomas Mozer and he is a member of our bus museum. I met him when I went to help him after a twister had taken the side of his house off and sent it down the street. Later on because of the storm and his displacement I helped him move his stuff around some and we became good friends. Also because of this storm and his displacement he met a wonderful lady named Diane. Just about two years ago I married my best friend, oh, yes, to Diane of course (stop getting ahead of me). Anyway, last night as I was watching the local news at seven my heart did a flip as I saw the storm, another twister went through his neighborhood. Not nearly as bad as the other and Tom and Diane had just scrub damage. So we praise God that the storm was not as severe and no one in the area was hurt. The storm did hit a camp ground and again no injuries... PRAISE GOD.

And it is Wednesday and the day we pray for the lost and for God to use us to seek them out and bring those lost sheep to the Master Shepherd, the Solid Rock, and the Rock of our Salvation.

Reminder, Carry The Light Ministries Picnic on Saturday July 3, eating at Noon, location Willow Mill Park in Silver Spring Twp. (Mechanicsburg Pa.). Come on out and talk a tad, I would love to meet you or see you again. Already booked in is the Holy Spirit, for we have invited our Lord and He will show up... Amen.

The Perfect Rock: Deuteronomy 32:3 - I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! 4 He is the Rock, His works are perfect and all His ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is He. (NIV)

Yesterday I talked about where to build and about building on The Solid Rock. Our Lord Jesus, of course, is that Solid Rock. Today I just want to point out a few more places in the Bible where it talks about the Rock. Today God pointed out to me the scripture from Deuteronomy where it is told to us that He is the rock and He is perfect Rock. Do you know someone who is always looking for a rock? I have a friend who is a rock collector, his name is R. J. Harris and you might know him for he is the Morning Mayor on radio WHP 580 out of Harrisburg Pa. R. J. goes on many rock hunts and while he looks for those rocks that are different, and some would say perfect, I know that R. J. already knows the Perfect Rock, our Lord Jesus and has Him in his heart. I collect stuff also, but I never did get into collecting rocks, except for that one in my front yard and the one in my heart. I have already reached down and picked up a stone or rock and thought to myself that that is a pretty one. I should have stuck it in my pocket for my friend R. J.

I saw a movie once where the lady (Lucille Ball) collected rocks and put them in her trailer. The movie, the Long, Long Trailer and it is funny. It is still worth watching. Yes, they pulled a big trailer with (if my memory serves me right) a 1954 Mercury Convertible. So many people take time to look at rocks but don't take time to hold onto them, and a lot of them don't even look at The Perfect Rock and hold onto Him.

There is another part of that scripture out of Deuteronomy that I want to talk just a minute about. It is the part where it tells us that this Perfect Rock, "Does no wrong, upright and just." He is perfect, He does no wrong, He is upright and just. Gosh, do we have a great Rock to not just build our home on and our family on but a great Rock to build our very own lives on.

One more scripture today because it fits in with our Salvation Wednesday prayers...

2 Samuel 22:47 - "The Lord Lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savior." (NIV)

2 Samuel 22:47 "The Lord Liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the Rock of my Salvation." (KJV)

I wanted to show you this scripture from both the New International Version and also the King James Version of the Bible. Although I like my NIV, and it is a study Bible, sometimes we just need to get those words out of the King James. I can truly say today that Jesus is my Rock and He is the Rock of my Salvation. Is He your Rock of Salvation?? Today as we go to prayer let's renew with The Rock and also ask Him to use us to bring others to The Rock so they also might be saved. By the way, when you are talking with others and talking to them about their salvation, you might have someone say to you, you are judging me, you are saying I am not saved and I am. Folks, don't worry about that, God will sort it out. Just tell those folks that you want to be sure about them. Listen to me on this... If you are talking salvation to someone and they say something to that effect you need to look at it this way... If they are truly saved they would understand why you are asking them. So know your work is going to the right place. I, since being saved, have sat through many calls for salvation and I never get bored for I know why they are done. I have told my flock at the Bridges why it must be done each week for you do not know the hearts of all, so you must look for that one lost sheep. After all, I was once that one lost sheep and a shepherd left their flock for me... They really did.

Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive me of my sins, and please forgive all others who ask, and Lord, use us in Your fields of Harvest this day and each day forward. Help us to walk with You and be like You so we can set a good example for others. Point out the lost for us this day. In the name of Jesus, I pray. And Lord, thanks for taking care of my friends Tom and Diane... Amen.

Now go forth sharing your blessings and seeking out the lost for Jesus... Happy Hunting. Love ya, Pastor Dan.
