June 15, 2010 The 23rd Psalm 3

He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

Salvation Wednesday, yes, brothers and sisters, it is Salvation Wednesday here on Carry The Light Ministries Praise, Prayer and Message line. Why not take a break right now, right this very minute and pray with me that God will clear you of your sins and also use you to help bring in the lost...

Dear Father in Heaven, Please cleanse me of my sins this day and come into my heart, and please, dear Lord, use me to talk to others about Jesus and about salvation, help me work in the fields of harvest as You, dear Lord, have ordered us to do. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

PRAISE REPORT... Kathleen Sansoni had her first, or first in a series of Chemo yesterday and felt so good after the treatment she went back to work. Please pray for God to heal her cancer along with that of Ron and Allison. Also today please pray for Rob Johnson, who has severe emotional and physical problems that he still suffers after service to our Nation in the Iraq war. Rob is born again and is trusting God to heal him. Welcome him to the line today by praying for him.

The 23rd Psalm (day 3): Psalm 23:3 - He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

One of the things I am getting from the Lord on this today is the fact that He restores our souls. Meaning to me, maybe we had come to our Lord Jesus but maybe did a "walk about" or a "back slide" or have drifted in some way or another from Him. I think this points out to us if we ask, He will restore us once again. I know for a fact I have had to be restored more than once. In fact, I have been restored a lot. I am so glad our Lord Jesus is not like that car salesman who tells us that if we walk away from the deal he has offered that we will never get the offer again. Indeed not, for our Lord has the offer standing before us all the time. Last week I was told by one of the workers at the Bridges that her 95 year old uncle just came to Jesus for the first time. Wow, nothing like letting things go and taking a chance. Today I feel my soul is restored, I am walking with the Lord and pray I will never turn away again, not even for a minute. However, I find it very comforting to know that He will restore my soul, when I mess up.

Let's look at that last part of that verse... He leadeth me. It seems to me we can be led around by two people, we can be led by Jesus or we can be led by evil, or Satan. Notice that He leads us in the path of righteousness, or in doing right, and He does it for His name's sake. I think we need to praise God for that. And you can be sure that when we let the devil lead us he will be standing ready to take the glory. Let's look at prisons, and while there are many people who have come to Jesus after being in jail, men and women did not get in jail by following Jesus, or at least not in this country and not yet. Those things might change where we are looked up for admitting we love Jesus.

Being a person who was raised by Christian parents but then took a walkabout and came back later in life, I am so glad that Jesus is willing to take a person back, and I am also one to tell you that I feel so much better following the footsteps of Jesus than I did when running with the other guy. Even though I did not break laws that would put me in jail, I was not living to please Jesus. Folks, God does not have us on a leash, He leads us by setting examples and trying to teach us that His way is better. Today, will you come to Jesus and ask Him to lead you in the paths of righteousness and do it for Him, or in His Name's sake?

Dear Father in heaven, we praise You this day, for this day, and we want to give it back to You by following Your lead. Please heal cancers today, and Lord, please heal Rob and others who have served so well for this land. And Lord, help us to appreciate the land You gave us and our Military that helps us keep free... Lord I love You, and I pray in Your name. Amen.

Now go forth sharing your blessings with others... Have a great day. Sorry I was late. love ya, Pastor Dan
