Wednesday: The Journey 2

The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground!

Good Morning my dear brothers and sisters... Salvation Wednesday. The day we pray for the lost and for God to use us who are saved to seek out and bring in the lost. Please remember this, we cannot save anyone, but we can be the link that brings them to the feet of Jesus. Yes, Salvation is personal and between our Lord Jesus and each child of His. It is a one-on-one relationship, folks. Do you know Jesus or do you KNOW Him and have a real relationship with Him? Big difference here, folks.

The Journey, Day 2: Genesis 2: 7 - The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. (NIV)

Yes, man was made from dirt, and now we really know why we have ring around the collar! I just had to say that. Yesterday I asked the question, what jumped out at you the most if you read the story of creation? Now there was no one right or wrong answer on this, however, there were two things in each day... "And God Said", "And God saw that it was good". Today's homework assignment is Genesis 1:27 though Genesis 2:25.

God In His Glory and Wisdom made all of the earth, made everything that man would need, even plants and animals before He made man. He did not plop us here on the barren ground or in total darkness. He made it all first including this wonderful garden we call Eden. So God made all these nice things and made man but realized right away that even with all those things man needed someone, another person, so He made woman. All this after Adam, our first man, named the animals.

Genesis 2: 21 - So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, He took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib He had taken out of the man, and He brought her to the man. 23 The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman, for she was taken out of man. 24 For this reason a man will leave His father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. (NIV)

Now guys, we know why we are one part short... there I go again. I want to point out a few things... the first woman was named Eve. I want you to notice that God did not make two men or two women to go forth building families. This is the way it started for marriage and THIS IS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE TODAY... AMEN!!!! We will cover more of this when we get to Noah and the big flood. Also today you get the answer to which came first the chicken or the egg. The answer is of course the Chicken. When God created all things He put in the adults... those ready to reproduce and also take care of the babies. Even the animals were to go forth and increase in number. Let two males or two females do that. It cannot be done.

Ok, enough for today... let's pray.

Dear Father in Heaven... Thanks for making man, and thanks for making woman, and Lord, I thank You for my wife... and thanks for letting us go forth and increase in number. Thanks for children and grandchildren. Thanks for having all things in place for us, things that we still live on today. Lord, lead us into Your fields of harvest so that we may work on the lost. And help us all draw nearer to You. Forgive us of our sins this day, forgive me of my sins. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.

Now go forth and share those blessings. Love ya, dan.
