But if you do NOT do what is right, sin is crouching at your door!
Good Morning, my dear brothers and sisters. On December 7, 1941, hundreds of bombers from Japan flew to the United States and bombed Pearl Harbor. Thousands of our Sailors were killed and more injured. The United States was under attack, and folks, a lot of people seem to forget all about this. Americans are a forgiving people and we should be, but we need to remember this day for it could happen again as it did on 9/11/2001 and other times. Folks, we need to be forgiving but also be alert. We also need to thank our military, past and present, for keeping this country free.
Today is Monday and the day we pray for our president and for all of our leaders, plus our military and our veterans and do it as you remember Pearl Harbor. Thank you, veterans and thank you, men and women of our military. Thanks and prayers go also to our Police and Firefighters.
The Journey 5: Genesis 4:8 - Now Cain said to His brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." And while there were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. (NIV)
Now I invite you to read Genesis 4 and find out about what I am calling the first family fight. Today there many, many fights, and brothers and sisters, the domestic fighting is one of the most dangerous things that our police have to deal with. They are called to break up fights and often the family makes up in a hurry and goes after the police officer who came to help.
In a world of fighting wars and having bombs go off in schools as one did just this morning in Iraq, how can we expect to find peace between nations when we have fighting right in families?
Folks, today I say to you, if you are having trouble in your family, get on your knees and ask God to come into the hearts of all concerned, pray for God to help you patch things up EVEN IF YOU WERE NOT AT FAULT. Remember, folks, it takes at least two people to fight. Please, please do that today, and get it off your mind and back. I know you are going to say, I tried before and yes, I know some on this line have. Please, folks, it is the Christmas season, so send that family member a card with a really nice note in it. Some family members have not talked to each other for so long they more than likely forgot what they were fighting about. Do not, do not take this to bed another day. A nice note can go a long, long way. My late Mamma told me you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. When you write to them be sure to wish them Merry Christmas, not just happy holidays. Don't be like Cain. Folks, you do not need to murder a family member to have that dead feeling in the family. Please, please work it out... that is not just what I want you to do, it is what God wants you to do.
Dear Father in Heaven, You are wonderful and I love You. Thank You for a mother who taught me how to love and forgive, and thank You for a wife that is the same and kids that have learned it also. Dear Lord, bless our troops this day as we in America remember what happened many many years ago on this date. Lord, protect this country and bring peace to the world and may it start in our hearts, in the hearts of those who love You dearly. Thanks for our personal freedom given to us when You gave us Jesus... and thanks for the freedom we enjoy in America due to the men and women who have gone into our military units. Please keep them safe, and those who are on the battle grounds, please bring them home. In Jesus name, amen.
Go forth now sharing your blessings... below is a little bit about our past Saturday... love ya, dan.

We are so blessed... Saturday afternoon a crew of family and friends came to help pack up food for a hundred families. Food first had to be sorted and then picked and packed. We packed four bags of canned and boxed goods for each family, plus they will get turkeys or hams and in cases of the large families, both. They will also get hotdogs and five pounds of potatoes. Also, we will have a large box of cereal for each family to pick out two boxes or bags. And folks, we still have food coming in and families asking for help. The good thing, it looks like we will have leftovers. You remember how our Lord Jesus fed thousands with two fish and five loaves and there were leftovers. God is good. We also must remember we do not just hand out food at Christmas, we have families calling us year round and since we started this food pantry we have never had to turn anyone away... GOD IS GOOD...
