Thursday 11/19/15 Assignments (23)

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory for ever, Amen. And Lord, as I pray today this wonderful prayer that Jesus taught us to pray, I confess that I had to really look it up in the Bible. Please help me to know and understand each word of this prayer. Please help me now with the message and then please help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, everyday is a good day when you get a chance to witness for our Lord Jesus. Today as I sat down to write, I decided to use the Lord's Prayer as it covers a lot of thins we have been talking about. The problem I had, I had to look it up. So I have my assignment for the next few days, use The Lord's Prayer some more so I once again go over what all it means. A rainy day is a great day to cook. Today I made macaroni soup. Well, enough about me, how are you folks? Talk to me once in awhile. Okay, to the message, Assignments.

Thursday: November 19, 2015: Assignments (Day Twenty-Three)

Luke 23:34 - Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing. "

Luke 23:43 - Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with Me in paradise."

Luke 23:46 - Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into Your hand I commit My spirit." (NIV)

Today, the most important assignment that God The Father gave to Jesus The Son, and that is to die on the cross to save US ALL from our sins and from doing to hell. It is about what being a Christian really means. Brothers and sisters, this Man, this Man named Jesus, died for you and for me. In the Bible He tells us how we should live, and for sure we all  have failed at some time or other, and that is why The Father sent His Son. TO DIE FOR US. Will anyone say amen? And don't give me any praise for this, I am just trying to really drive it home that this is what being a Christian really is all about. About a Man, sent by His Father, in the form of a baby, named Jesus.

I am thrilled about this, and dare I say I am also thrilled that Joseph and Mary were PRO-LIFE!!! Come on, brothers and sisters, if you have not done it before, do it today. Confess to Jesus you are a sinner and invite Him into your life and heart. Do that as we sing this song, the only song fitting for this today.

The Old Rugged Cross (George Bennard, 1873-1958)

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
the emblem of suffering and shame:
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
for a world of lost sinners was slain.

So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
til my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross
and exchange it someday for a crown.

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true,
its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He'll call me someday to my home far away
where His glory forever I'll share.

So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
til my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross
and exchange it someday for a crown.

Dear Father in Heaven, Praise You, Lord, I give thanks to You, Lord, for dying on the cross for all of us, for dying on the cross for me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Now please go forth, thanking and praising Jesus and singing and singing this song. Love ya.

Pastor Dan

So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
til my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross
and exchange it someday for a crown.

So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
til my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross
and exchange it someday for a crown.
