Dear Father in Heaven: I love You and I give You all honor and glory for this day. Thanks for resting me down over the Thanksgiving break, and now, dear Father, I ask in the name of Jesus that you fire me up again at this keyboard. Help me, dear Lord, with a fresh look at the old stories from Your Word recorded in our Bibles. Lord, be with Danelle and Jeff as they travel, and thanks for bringing Keith and Karen and their family home safe. Lord, please watch over Matthew and Lord, please help him to contact us. Today, Lord, I want to pray for Reverend Jesse Jackson, and I pray that instead of him stirring the pot he would get on his knees before You as he leads a group and instead of leading them in protest he might lead them to Jesus. Please, Lord, watch over President Obama as he travels and please let all of those meeting on global warming know that You are indeed in charge of the weather, not our president or any other government leader. Dear Father, bless this house, and Lord, bless this line, and please bless all those who use it. And now, Lord, I ask in the name of Jesus for another message and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I give all honor and glory and praise and place my prayers. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, I pray you all had a really blessed Thanksgiving, as we did here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Over the past years, over twenty of them that I have been writing for Jesus using the email, I have written a lot about what I called The Journey or A Big Trip or something like that. While doing the story leading up to Christmas, some years I had us traveling with those traveling to Bethlehem many different ways. We have been high above looking down from "Santa's Sleigh." One year we traveled in a big "Hummer" and one year not too long ago I looked at the story through the eyes of "Mr. Don Key." So this year how will we travel? Well, I thought about traveling in a big blimp, with Captain Charles Wotring at the controls, but I found out he is not licensed for the blimp, although my friend Charles has flown about everything else. So where do I turn this year? Well, if you don't mind, I think once again I will make a "donkey" of myself. (Yes, I know what some of you are thinking, but please be nice!) So this year we are going to look at the story through the eyes of Donkey Dan. So how about we get started?
Monday: November 30, 2015: The Big Trip, by Donkey Dan (Day One)
Luke 1:5 - In the time of Herod King of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah. His wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron. 6 Both of them were upright in the sight of God, observing all the Lord's commandments and regulations blamelessly. 7 But they had no children, because Elizabeth was barren; and they were both well along in years. 8 Once when Zechariah's division was on duty and he was serving as priest before God, 9 he was chosen by lot, according to the custom of the priesthood, to go into the temple of the Lord and burn incense. 10 And when the time for the burning of incense came, all the assembled worshipers were praying outside. (NIV)
Well, brothers and sisters, I, Donkey Dan, am out just looking around, hanging out with a few other farm animals and others of God's two and four legged critters. As I look at the group I am hanging out with it makes me want to laugh, so I just let out a big Hee Haw, and out came Roy Clark. No, that was not right, I just want to keep you thinking. I laughed because this great big guy, I mean this big guy we call a camel seems to spit when he talks to the other animals. Anyway, I want to talk over some of this scripture with the other animals and I invite you to sit down and listen in.
This scripture is talking about Zechariah and his dear wife Elizabeth and God's Word is telling us these are good people, that they both followed God's commands and laws blamelessly or in my words really, really well. I do want to say this, though, they were still sinners. Now I know this as it is pointed out in my scripture.
Romans 3:23 - For all are sinners and fall short of the glory of God. (NIV)
You see, my dear brothers and sisters, we are all sinners, even we animals like me, Donkey Dan. The Word of God also tells us that Zechariah, who was a priest, and his dear wife were no "spring chickens." In fact, you might call Elizabeth an "old hen" and old Zach, an old rooster. As a priest, Zechariah had the job of keeping the incense burning and while this was going on the worshipers were outside praying. I am excited as we get moving on this story, for as we are going to see over the next week or more, there is a big change coming in the way worship was and is being done.
Tomorrow we are going to see what happens when an angel of the Lord appears to old Zach. Well, I wonder if Donkey Dan can find anything to sing about.
Okay, brothers and sisters, let me step out of the role of Donkey Dan and just tell you this. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Dolores and I spent it right here at home with our two cats and two dogs. I made this meal. In our crockpot, I put in two really large chicken breasts sliced down the middle. I added a family size can of cream of chicken soup and one full can of whole milk. I then put in some chopped sweet onions and some chopped celery. I also put in one chopped up apple and a big handful of grapes cut in half. After that had cooked for awhile on high, I added in a lot of frozen veggies including carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. I also put in one can of sweet peas. After that was about ready to serve I made instant mashed potatoes and, say what you want, I make them good! I melt butter in a pan until it gets brown then put in whole milk, NO WATER! I also put in a lot of soft cream cheese. When that is blended good, I put in some fresh chopped celery and onions and cut up four slices of toast. That made a good potato filling. Then on a plate we just put the "chicken stuff", over the mashed potatoes and it was really good. For the leftovers, I just put the potatoes right into the crockpot with the chicken stuff and mixed it really well.
Now listen to this. On Friday morning I made big omelets and put some of this chicken stuff right in the middle of the omelet. I did heat the chicken stuff before putting it into the omelet. So we were really blessed so I think the right song to sing this day is this simple Praise Song.
Praise God, from Whom ALL Blessings Flow
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow
Praise Him, all creatures here below.
Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts.
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Amen.
Please Go forth now praising and giving thanks to Jesus for He is good. Love ya.
Pastor Dan (AKA Donkey Dan)
And please pray for Reverend Jackson and Pastor Sharpton that they would start leading the lost to Jesus. That is the only place where peace will come from! Can I get at least one amen on that?
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow
Praise Him, all creatures here below.
Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts.
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Amen.

Salvation Wednesday 11/25/15 Assignments (27)
Dear Father in Heaven: Please forgive me of my sins, and I give honor and glory for You doing that for me and all who ask in faith. Please, Lord, be on our highways, rails, and in the air with those who are traveling. Dear Father in Heaven, please help me with the message and then please help me to get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, HAPPY THANKSGIVING, and happy birthday to our baby daughter Leann. She is, well, a lot younger than me. Amen. Brothers and sisters, today is the final day of the series on Assignments. It took 27 days and I think God would have given me even more if I would have prayed harder about it. So let me get to it!
Salvation Wednesday: November 25, 2015: Assignments (Day Twenty-seven)
Acts 1:9 - After He said this, He was taken before their very eyes, and a cloud hid Him from their sight. 10 They were looking intently up into the sky as He was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11 "Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking up into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go up into heaven." (NIV)
What a great way God has given me to wind up a series on Assignments. This final assignment of Jesus that we are going to talk about today is an assignment that will be given to Him by His Father in Heaven. When will this assignment happen? I do not know and neither does anyone else, not this writer, not your pastor or priest, not the Pope, not the angels of Heaven, not even the Son of God, our dear Lord Jesus.
Our assignment again like on so many of our assignments from God The Father and God The Son is to tell the world, and your next door neighbor what Jesus did and still does for us through the power of The Holy Spirit. One of the things I really want to point out is this. HE'S COMING BACK, YES, HE IS COMING BACK, AND I AM TRYING NOT TO GET TOO EXCITED ABOUT IT, BUT IT IS EXCITING!!!
One pastor years ago told me if Jesus would come back today that He would more than likely come on a Harley and go to the bars and talk to people. To that pastor I would say this. YOU ARE WRONG!! Go and read your Bible, Pastor!! (I will withhold that name.) There is no doubt in my mind He is coming back and right here we see that He will be coming back in the same way He went up. Here it is again from Luke.
Luke 1:11b - "This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go up into heaven."
He will be coming back in a cloud of light!!! Here is some more proof that He is coming back for us.
John 14:1 - "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in Me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am." (NIV)
Now brothers and sisters, it is in the Words of our Lord Jesus and let us look at verse 3 again.
John 14:3 - "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am."
He's coming back, brothers and sisters. I said HE'S COMING BACK!! If my old knees were not shot and my back broken, I would just get up and dance. I just love Him so much.
Today I have a Thanksgiving prayer for all of you. Here it is.
Dear Father in Heaven, I pray on this Thanksgiving Eve that all those who are reading this line will share Your love with whomever they might break bread with. I pray, Lord, that each one will work for You, get right in Your eyes and be ready for that time when You, Father, send Jesus back to get His bride. I pray that when people dig into all that food that they remember that You started all the food and have furnished it all. I pray that they will remember on this day all who have worked hard to keep the food chain going forth and that they remember that even these birds we call turkeys had to be brought forth in the Ark. I pray that each one will remember all those who have fought hard to keep us safe. I pray also that the readers of this line and their families are blessed even more than they are now. I pray that each one will let Jesus head up their house so the house becomes a home. And Father, if I could hug each one today I would do just that. And Lord, at last I pray that each one is saved, that they are indeed "Born Again." In Jesus' Name, I give You all glory for those on this line and for trusting me to write for You. Amen.
Brothers and sisters, I really do love you, all of you, bar none, but Jesus is number one in my heart. Jesus, I do love You, more and more each day. There is one song I can lead you in today and maybe a chorus. So go forth now singing and sharing the love of Jesus, who by the way IS COMING BACK. Love ya.
Pastor Dan
We Gather Together
We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing.
He chastens and hastens His will to make known.
The wicked oppressing cease them from distressing.
Sing praises to His name, He forgets not His own.
We all do extol Thee, Thou Leader in battle
And pray that Thou still our Defender wilt be.
Let thy congregation escape tribulation.
Thy name be ever praised! O Lord make us free!
Mansion Over The Hilltop (Chorus)
I've got a mansion just over the hilltop
in that bright land where we'll NEVER GROW OLD.
And someday yonder we will never more wander
but walk on streets that are purest gold.
I've got a mansion just over the hilltop
in that bright land where we'll NEVER GROW OLD.
And someday yonder we will never more wander
but walk on streets that are purest gold.
I've got a mansion just over the hilltop

Tuesday 11/24/15 Assignments (26)
Dear Father in Heaven: Thank You for everything that I have. Thank You for watching over us. Please, Lord, be in the air, on the rails, on the roads, and most of all holding our hand as so many people hit the roads for Thanksgiving. I pray again for peace today, and I pray today for the family of the pastor's wife who was murdered. Their faith is strong, Lord, hold on to them. Please be with our Leann as she has her birthday tomorrow. Travel with our family and others who are traveling, and Lord, please be with Matthew. Lord, please bless me again with another message and please help me to get it dispatched. Lord, my hands and fingers need Your touch. It is hard to use them on the keyboard. In Jesus' Name, I pray and give praise. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: Today and tomorrow, two to go on Assignments. What will that final assignment be? Be back tomorrow. However, first read today. This morning on Fox and Friends they interviewed the pastor whose wife was shot, or you might say executed as she was shot in the back of the head. They also interviewed her father, also a pastor. They have forgiven these two young punks using the Words of Christ that I used just yesterday, "Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they are doing." The newspaper called them "two young men." I call them the two young punks. This pastor's wife was also raped and she was also with child. Brothers and sisters, the world is in trouble and the only way it will ever get right again will be when Jesus comes back. AMEN!!! Let me get to the message.
Tuesday: November 24, 2015: Assignments (Day Twenty-Six)
Matthew 28:16 - Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of The Father and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, this scripture is often referred to as "The Great Commission."
A piece of local history. Did you know "The Couriers," one of the best and greatest gospel singing groups, uses the name "The Great Commission" as one of their Ministry names?
So what is our assignment out of this scripture today? All authority in heaven and on earth would be "God The Father." Like it or not, folks, God is in charge of America, not President Obama and President Washington was not the father of our country. Yes, God is that also. How about that!!! Anyway, that authority was "assigned" to our Lord Jesus Christ. And now Jesus is telling us, we who are the disciples of today, to go and make disciples of all people. Yes, our assignment is to be a spokesperson for Jesus, and we are to be teaching them to obey everything that Jesus teaches in the Bible. And we are to be baptizing people in the name of The Father, and in the Name of Jesus and in the Name of The Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost. This work is not just for your pastors, they just could not get it all done. It is for each and every believer, each one who is "Born Again." And for sure as we carry out the work of God, we want to do our very, very best to get it done right and with haste. Have you heard the term, do not put off until tomorrow what you can do today? It fits this well. We are not sure how many tomorrows God might give us. We need to do His work today.
Before 8:30 AM this morning God gave me the chance to witness to two people without leaving our driveway. We have some really nice people who stop in and help with some cats that started to hang out here years ago. I call the one lady whose name is Barb, the cat lady. Anyway, she called early, "I have some cat food for you," she said, and we were going to split the costs. She paid for all of it, six big, big bags, and she carried it into the garage. Before she left, I held her hand and prayed for her health and her mission of helping God's critters, homeless cats. I went on around our home and there was our neighbor boy, a senior at the Tech School, and a fine young man who helps us a lot. His language a tad rough and right now his mother is not working as she broke her ankle bad enough that it needed surgery. Sean is his name and he has a brother, Andrew. Anyway, he was out mowing leaves and I called him over. I took twenty dollars that was not used for cat food and gave it to him for gas money. He said, "are you sure?" I said yes, and then I took his hand and prayed for his family and for him. Little by little, we, Dolores and I, really would like to win this family for Jesus. In fact, maybe you would like to help with this mission. God wants us to help others, and I know a lot of you supported the work of Carry The Light Ministries. If you want to help this family, please do this.
First, pray for "Julie Miller" and her sons Sean and Andrew to come to Jesus and for Julie to be healed by Jesus.
Second, if you feel called to do this, send her a card and tell her you are praying for her and her sons, maybe write a short note. And again, if you are called to do so, maybe you could afford to send her a dollar or two or whatever. I will list their address after the message.
I am telling you these things because each day we are to witness for our Lord Jesus as shown in the scripture that I used today. Also there are not many days that go past that God does not open a door for you to witness for Him. However, some people do not walk through that door, maybe it is out of their comfort level. Instead of letting people use us, we need to let God use us. Sometimes when God gives us assignments we think we just cannot do them, but if we pray and we walk closer and closer to Him each day, this assignment will get better and better and easier and easier to do. In fact, let us sing about it. Any Patsy Cline fans?
Just a Closer Walk with Thee
I am weak but Thou art strong;
Jesus, keep me from all wrong.
I'll be satisfied as long
as I walk, let me walk close to Thee.
Just a closer walk with Thee;
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea.
Daily walking close to thee.
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.
When my feeble life is o'er
time for me will be no more.
Guide me gently, safely, o'er
to thy Kingdom shore, to Thy shore.
Just a closer walk with Thee;
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea.
Daily walking close to thee.
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.
Dear Father in Heaven: Help me each day to be nearer and nearer to You. Please, Lord, help me witness for You to others along the way. Please give us the words to say and how to say them, and also, Dear Father in Heaven, help us be a witness for You in the way we live. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and please serve our Lord Jesus. Love ya.
Pastor Dan
Here is the address if you feel called to send a card:
Julie Miller
12 Dewalt Drive
Mechanicsburg, PA 17050
Now let's go out singing:
I am weak but Thou art strong;
Jesus, keep me from all wrong.
I'll be satisfied as long
as I walk, let me walk close to Thee.
Just a closer walk with Thee;
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea.
Daily walking close to thee.

Love ya.

Now let's go out singing:
I am weak but Thou art strong;
Jesus, keep me from all wrong.
I'll be satisfied as long
as I walk, let me walk close to Thee.
Just a closer walk with Thee;
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea.
Daily walking close to thee.
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.
When my feeble life is o'er
time for me will be no more.
Guide me gently, safely, o'er
to thy Kingdom shore, to Thy shore.
Just a closer walk with Thee;
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea.
Daily walking close to thee.
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.
Just a closer walk with Thee;
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea.
Daily walking close to thee.
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

Monday 11/23/15 Assignments (25)
Dear Father in Heaven: I am so thrilled that You love me, and I am also thrilled that I love You. I am also happy that I am not afraid to tell anyone and everyone that I do love You and I am saved by the Grace of God through Jesus who died on the Cross. I praise You and honor You for doing that. Please, dear Lord, help me work even harder for You to get out the Word of Salvation and the Love of Jesus. Please, dear Lord, help me with another message and please, Lord, help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name I pray, giving thanks for all things. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters: What a great day, really great. How blessed are we? Each day when you get up, take a good look around you. Are we not blessed, really blessed? Let me get going on the message!
Monday: November 23, 2015: Assignments (Day Twenty-Five)
Matthew 24:4 - Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming 'I am the Christ' and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains. 9 Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but he who stands firm to the end will be saved." (NIV)
Let us go over some of the assignments for us in these Words from our Lord Jesus.
First: We are to watch out that no one deceives us. Brothers and sisters, some people are sitting in churches where the pastors are preaching things not found in the Bible and if you are in one of those churches you should question the pastor, and if they cannot tell you where that is found in the Bible, you might be being deceived so GET UP AND RUN FROM THAT CHURCH.
Second: Many will come saying they are the Christ. Maybe not all will state that "I am the Christ," yet many will, some will try and get you to bow down to them as if they were our Lord Jesus. Assignment again, "Don't be fooled!"
Third: Keep your eyes and ears open. We will hear of wars and rumors of wars, and our assignment on this, "Don't be alarmed."
Fourth: People will be starving and we will be having earthquakes. If we can't see that, then you have your eyes closed. Even in America the food lines for free food are getting longer. And earthquakes are happening not just where you would think. I live in Mechanicsburg, Pa., and I have earthquake insurance on our home. These earthquakes don't just happen on the left coast.
Fifth: This assignment comes as a warning to us. Quoting Jesus, "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death and you will be hated by all nations because of me." And we can see that going on around the world right now, even today. Terrorists are beheading people who are real Christians.
Sixth: Our assignment if we are really and truly a Born Again Christian, and folks, if you are not "Born Again" you just ain't a Christian, PERIOD!!! ... The Word of our Lord Jesus tells us that many will turn away from God when they are confronted with such action. What will you do? If someone has a gun to your head and asks you this, "Do you love Jesus?" what are you going to say? I know what I am going to say. I am going to say what Jesus said when on the cross, and I pray that He will give me the strength to stand firm and say it. Here is what Jesus said:
Luke 23:34 - Jesus said: "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." (NIV)
Seventh: And this notice to us, and yes, it could be in the form of an assignment. Jesus said if we stand firm to the end, "We will be saved." Yes, our assignment, do not turn and run, do not leave your faith in Jesus. He loved us and still loved us, and He died for us, now the question is: Will we die for Him if needed? My answer again is YES! And Dolores said: AMEN!!! She would do the same.
Will you stand up for Jesus? Let us sing about it.
I Have Decided To Follow Jesus
I have decided to follow Jesus,
I have decided to follow Jesus.
I have decided to follow Jesus.
No turning back, no turning back.
Should no one join me, still I will follow.

No turning back, no turning back.
The world behind me, the Cross before me.
The world behind me, the Cross before me.
The world behind me, the Cross before me.
No turning back, no turning back.
Dear Father in Heaven, please keep making me stronger and stronger in my faith in You. I pray it will grow and grow each day. I pray others will follow also and stand strong in their faith in Jesus. In Jesus' Name I seek that faith for all of us. Amen.
Now brothers and sisters, please go forward, loving and standing firm with Jesus. Love ya.

Saturday 11/21/15 Assignments (24)
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for all the blessings You give to us each and every day. Praise You for Your mighty healing power and Your salvation through Jesus Christ. I love You, Lord, and I seek forgiveness of my sins. Please keep watch over Vickie and Dave. Please, Lord, keep watch over Matthew. Thanks for Your healing hand on Glenn and we pray he will keep getting stronger. Please, Lord, help me now with the message and then, Lord, please help me to get it dispatched. In the Loving Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, coming near to the end of the assignments series. I believe this is one of the longest subjects I have written on in a long time. So let me get right to it today.
Saturday, November 21, 2015: Assignments (Day Twenty-Five)
Luke 24:1 - On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they entered they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, He has risen!" (NIV)
PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD.
Our assignment is to spread the Good News of our Risen Savior.
Romans 10:9 - That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (NIV)
The scriptures from Luke tell us about that first day of the week when the women found Jesus to be among the missing and the news went out that He was ALIVE. While we could talk a long time about that part of the scripture, I used it to just get to this next scripture. In just this one verse we find several assignments.
One assignment is for us. We are to confess with our mouths Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts and we will be saved.
One assignment is for Jesus, and that is if we do what the verse tells us to do, His assignment is to Save us.
One assignment was carried out by God The Father, and He of course assigned this one to Himself and that was to "raise Jesus from the dead."
Two of the three assignments we are sure were carried out and one is still being carried out. The other one is up to us, up to you and me, Jesus is ready with His assignment to save us, all we need to do is confess and ask. Have you done that? If not, will you do it right now and be saved?
Dear Father in Heaven, as it tells me in Romans 10:9, I do hereby confess that I am indeed a sinner and I confess that I love Jesus and I do believe God has risen Jesus from the dead, and on this day, November 21, in the year of our Lord 2015, I (put in your own name) do ask to be saved. In the name of Jesus, I ask this. Please, dear Lord, save me. In Jesus' Name, I give thanks and pray. Amen.
Now please go forth and serve Jesus, and please try and keep your assignment of leading others to Jesus. Love ya.

Thursday 11/19/15 Assignments (23)
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory for ever, Amen. And Lord, as I pray today this wonderful prayer that Jesus taught us to pray, I confess that I had to really look it up in the Bible. Please help me to know and understand each word of this prayer. Please help me now with the message and then please help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, everyday is a good day when you get a chance to witness for our Lord Jesus. Today as I sat down to write, I decided to use the Lord's Prayer as it covers a lot of thins we have been talking about. The problem I had, I had to look it up. So I have my assignment for the next few days, use The Lord's Prayer some more so I once again go over what all it means. A rainy day is a great day to cook. Today I made macaroni soup. Well, enough about me, how are you folks? Talk to me once in awhile. Okay, to the message, Assignments.
Thursday: November 19, 2015: Assignments (Day Twenty-Three)
Luke 23:34 - Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing. "
Luke 23:43 - Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with Me in paradise."
Luke 23:46 - Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into Your hand I commit My spirit." (NIV)
Today, the most important assignment that God The Father gave to Jesus The Son, and that is to die on the cross to save US ALL from our sins and from doing to hell. It is about what being a Christian really means. Brothers and sisters, this Man, this Man named Jesus, died for you and for me. In the Bible He tells us how we should live, and for sure we all have failed at some time or other, and that is why The Father sent His Son. TO DIE FOR US. Will anyone say amen? And don't give me any praise for this, I am just trying to really drive it home that this is what being a Christian really is all about. About a Man, sent by His Father, in the form of a baby, named Jesus.
I am thrilled about this, and dare I say I am also thrilled that Joseph and Mary were PRO-LIFE!!! Come on, brothers and sisters, if you have not done it before, do it today. Confess to Jesus you are a sinner and invite Him into your life and heart. Do that as we sing this song, the only song fitting for this today.
The Old Rugged Cross (George Bennard, 1873-1958)
On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
the emblem of suffering and shame:
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
for a world of lost sinners was slain.
So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
til my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross
and exchange it someday for a crown.
To the old rugged cross I will ever be true,
its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He'll call me someday to my home far away
where His glory forever I'll share.
So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
til my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross
and exchange it someday for a crown.
Dear Father in Heaven, Praise You, Lord, I give thanks to You, Lord, for dying on the cross for all of us, for dying on the cross for me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Now please go forth, thanking and praising Jesus and singing and singing this song. Love ya.

Salvation Wednesday 11/18/15 Assignments (22)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Thanks for having Your hand on us every move we made this day. What a wonderful God we serve. I pray today for those who are unsaved and I pray that You will use us today, Lord, and not just today on our Salvation Wednesday, but each and every day to lead in the lost so that they might come to Jesus to be saved. Please be with our president, and I do pray that he is saved. Please help worldwide in the fight against those who want to kill Christians and Jews and others who do not follow the hate put out by the terrorist groups. I pray for peace and also for the return of Jesus. Until that time I pray that I will work hard for You. Dear Lord, one way I try and do this is writing what You want me to write, so please bless me with another message today and please help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, we had such a great day today. I just know our Lord God worked out each and every detail of the day. Remember today is Salvation Wednesday on this line and the day we really want to work even harder to lead in the lost. We started Salvation Wednesday on this line years and years ago, trying to sort of fit something on this line that replaces the Wednesday evening prayer meetings. Yes, back when I was a child, Mamma would go to Wednesday night prayer meetings at the Twenty-Ninth Street United Brethren Church, and of course her little Danny boy had to go along. Looking back, I am so glad my Mamma made me go. One of the things that Dolores and I did today was to hand out some of the "Read-N-Grow" Picture Bibles. Time to get to the message, and I am working to end the series by the end of the week, but again, I write for God, so that could change. Also, please pray for me a new subject.
Salvation Wednesday: November 18, 2015: Assignments (Day Twenty-Two)
Matthew 26:36 - Then Jesus went with His disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and said to them, "Sit here while I go over thee and pray." 37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with Him and He began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then He said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with Me." (NIV)
We find Jesus giving an assignment to His disciples and telling them He was going ahead and pray and they were to sit there and wait. Then He handed out this assignment to Peter, James and John (Peter and the two sons of Zebedee). Then Jesus opened up to those three, the inner circle, I will call them, telling them His soul is overwhelmed with sorrow. Have any of you ever been overwhelmed with sorrow? I am sure at one time or another all of us have been. Here Jesus is setting an example for us. How, you ask? He is going on ahead to pray to His Father in Heaven. That to me is just telling us that when we are overwhelmed the person to turn to is God. Someone say Amen!! Jesus then told the three to stay at a certain place and keep watch.
Matthew 26:39 - Going a little farther, He fell with His face to the ground and prayed. "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as You will." 40 Then He returned to His disciples and found them sleeping. "Could you men not keep watch with me for one hour?" He asked Peter. 41 "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." (NIV)
Here we find a great example of just how to pray. Jesus asking His Father (our Father also) if it was possible to take this cup, or deep sorrow and suffering, from Him. However, Jesus then stated yet not as I will or not as I want, but as Your will, or it is what You want, Father. We need to remember this, for if we are faithful in our prayers, we should want what our Lord God wants for us, His will. Sometimes we cannot see that when we pray, but later we will surely understand it. And some things, brothers and sisters, we will not understand until we are at home with Jesus in our final home.
One last thing on this. The disciples fell asleep and Jesus was questioning them. Could you not stay awake for one hour? How often have you gone to church and while sitting there you sort of dozed off? Gosh, I am guilty of that. I am. Truth be known, maybe the only complete I could stay awake through was when I was the one preaching. No, I can stay awake when there is a pastor really on FIRE FOR GOD. But some, well, you sit there and fall asleep. So do we have an excuse? Sorry, Pastor, but the disciples fell asleep. No excuse, we are to be Christ-like. Okay, enough for today.
Not My Will, But Thine (Hugh C. Benner)
Not my will, but Thine; not my will, but Thine.
Not my will, but Thy will be done, Lord in me.
May Thy Spirit divine fill this being of mine.
Not my will, but Thy will be done, Lord in me.
Dear Father in Heaven, please help us learn that it should always be Your will to be done and not ours. I confess that I do not always understand it, but I pray today that I will always accept it.

In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Go forth now and please serve Jesus. Love ya.

Tuesday 11/17/15 Assignments (21)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You and I give You praise and honor and glory for all things. Thanks for being with us, all of us, all the time. Thanks for watching over family and friends. Thanks for sending help to us. Please, Lord, be with Matthew and keep him safe and please, dear Lord, heal him. Please, Lord, help Son Life Broadcasting meet the goals they need to keep Your Word going out. Lord, please protect America and all other countries who are asking. Please, Lord, help me now with the daily message and then please help me get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
My dear brothers and sisters, yesterday and today were just beautiful. As you noticed, I took yesterday off from writing. Today back at it. It was a really nice day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Things took on a different look. Grant and Wanda came today and they set up the Nativity which was hand-built by them. What a team working together. If you get a chance, please drive past 16 Dewalt Drive in Mechanicsburg and take a look at it. Also, we pulled Santa's old work sleigh out and set it in front of Santa's House. Santa's House will not be open to the public due to the health of Mrs. Claus and old Santa. Oh, and Grant and Wanda also brought along dinner.
Please, brothers and sisters, keep praying for our son Matthew as he is still in the hospital. Dolores and I really appreciate all your prayers for our family and also for us. Thank you for that. Again I want to mention that if you do not have a Bible and you would like one, just let us know and we will see that you have one. We have been blessed to have some new Gideon's edition Bibles that were pulled from a motel. Thee are really great Bibles, folks. We are also working on getting more "Read 'N Grow" childrens' Bibles in. If you email us for a Bible, just place in the subject line 'Bible Needed,' and a phone number or a way we can get in touch with you. Now on to the message, and still working on Assignments.
Tuesday: November 17, 2015: Assignments (Day Twenty-One)
Luke 20:45 - Then He entered the temple area and began driving out those who were selling. 46 "It is written," He said to them, "'My house will be a house of prayer' but you have made it 'a den of robbers.'" (NIV)
Isaiah 56:7b - "There burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on My Altar; for My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations." (NIV)
As for my assignments for today, nothing much different, so I am not going to tell you of any special assignments given to me by God, except to just keep telling others about Jesus. So let us take a look at what Jesus was up to. Jesus was of course following His assignments given to Him by God The Father. This is one place in the Bible where Jesus was upset. His house, His temple, was not being used as it was to be. His house was to be a "house of prayer," but things were going on that were not right. What was going on was animals used for sacrifice were being sold at unfair prices. So our Lord Jesus cleared it out. I went back to Isaiah to show you why Jesus said "It is written." I also want to bring this out and I think it is very important.
Jesus said, His house will be a house of prayer and it is a house of prayer for all nations. Let's translate that to today, and I ask this question, are all of the churches open for all people to come in and pray? If you are of one denomination, would you be welcomed into another church just to pray? If I, a "Holy Roller" so to speak, would stop at a United Methodist or a Catholic Church or any other church, do you think that after showing them I am not a terrorist, do you think they would just let me go to the altar and pray? I believe I would be turned away from some churches. Now if I were to go at church service times and they did prayer for healing or an altar call, I think I would be welcome at most churches. What if a Muslim were to show up at your church on Sunday and come in to worship, would you let them stay? Again on today's market we need to be careful, but for sure we should be letting all people join in on worship and even to the point as to win them for Jesus. Is that not what being a Christian is all about? First, being sure we are saved and then telling others? Yes, that is a major assignment for us.
Times have changed so much, the other week when ordering Bibles I was talking to the lady that answered the phone at Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. She was so pleasant and we were witnessing back and forth and I point blank asked her. How do you protect the large church, the mixed flock, from somebody coming in and shooting the church up? Her answer, they have ARMED deputies in Sunday clothes posted at the entrances, they cannot just walk in unless they are known. With that said, while we were talking about prayer, and His house of prayer, we do need to keep praying for our country, and we need to add to those prayers to pray for churches, all churches, first that the WORD OF GOD IS BEING TAUGHT, and then of course for the safety of all who attend. If everyone would let Jesus into their hearts, this world would be wonderful. Soon it will be wonderful for those loving Jesus. For He is coming back to get we who are saved. I am saved! Are you? We need to be able to sing this song.
He is Lord, He is Lord.
He is risen from the dead and He is Lord!
Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Dear Father, we need to be working for You, making sure that every person is welcome to worship with You and with each other. Lord, all of us should feel welcome at any church that supports You. Lord, I know somewhere as a Christian or just someone of another denomination we who love You would not be welcome. I pray this day for change in those churches and change in the hearts of those in charge of that church. I pray they learn that You are in charge. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now please go forth loving and sharing Jesus. Love ya.

Saturday 11/14/15 Assignments (20)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You, and thanks for hearing our prayers all the time. Please, Lord, keep Your hand upon the people, all the people of this world as each person is a child of Yours. I pray today for all those injured in the terrorist attacks and for the families of those killed. I pray for those who caused the problems and I pray that they come to You. Lord, I pray today the terror that happens every day in America comes to an end, and Lord, I am talking about abortion. Please, Lord, help me with the message of today and then to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, so many people worry about their past. I want to tell you that with the exception of two people, everyone else has a past. Would you like to tell me those two people? Yes, the answer is in the Bible. Folks, I am on day 20 of writing on assignments, and each day I think I am going to wrap it up, God gives me another day. Praise God for Pastor Larry Hale, who is starting to call his flock together for even more prayer time. Let me get started on Assignments.
Saturday: November 14, 2015: Assignments (Day Twenty)
John 6:11 - Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish. 12 When they all had enough to eat, He said to His disciples, "Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted." 13 So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten. (NIV)
Today one of my earthly assignments, assigned to me, by me, was to make a lot of mac and cheese. I have that done! One of my assignments by God is to write this line and I am working on it now.
Here is an assignment that Jesus has given all of us, we disciples of today. "Gather the pieces that are left over, let nothing be wasted." My mamma and pop made me learn something when I was a just a child. "If you put it on your plate, you are going to eat all of it." I confess I would slip some under the table to Mickey our dog when my parents were not looking, but let me tell you, if I got bull-headed and did not want to eat it, I had to sit at the table and even eat it cold before I could go out and play. And if my parents put it on my plate, I had to eat that also. That is how I came to love liver so much. I can remember saying I am not going to eat that, so I just sat there, it was good and cold until I decided I wanted to go out and play catch, so I ate it cold.
To this day, I like liver, a tad pink in the middle, and the leftovers, a good cold liver sandwich with more onions and mustard before bed.
When you go into one of all those all-you-can-eat places and see how much food is wasted, why that is a sin and a shame in itself. There are so many people today who are hungry, and I mean that really need food, and we pitch it out. Our big food chains who say the prices are coming down are not telling the truth. Think of all that produce you see in the stores, and each day they are clearing the stuff going bad and pitching it in the dumpster. You know that leftover fish is still being served at Long John Silvers? Okay, that is not true, but in a way it is. Think of it this way, God on creation gave us the fish, and He has multiplied it and all other food over and over and today we are still EATING OUT OF THE HAND OF GOD!! Will someone shout Amen? I mean SHOUT IT! AMEN!
So brothers and sisters, our assignment is to not waste the food. Over the years I had preached on this subject about four times. I had gone to the store and purchased two small fish, cleaned but with the head and tail still on. I then would freeze them. On Sundays when I preached on this subject, I would get five loaves of bread and I had my two fish. I wanted everyone to see just how little food that was and that Jesus served about five thousand people and had leftovers. After the service the small loaves of bread would come home and we would eat them, and the fish, well, I would freeze them again, yes, each time, the same two fish. After we left The Bridges, I found those two fish in the freezer and I am thinking I am not going to eat these, so I did not waste them, I gave them to the outdoor cats. That is a true story, folks. Brothers and sisters, try your very, very best to not waste food. And that is an assignment from God today. Another saying from my mamma. "Waste not, want not." God gives us so very much, don't waste it, just sing about it. Let us "Count Our Blessings."
Count your blessings, name them one by one.
Count your blessings, see what God hath done.
Count your blessings, name them one by one.
Count your blessings, see what God hath done.
Count your blessings, name them one by one.
Count your blessings, see what God hath done.
Count your blessings, name them one by one.
Count your blessings, see what God hath done.
Dear Father in Heaven, You have given us so many blessings, blessings upon blessings, please help us not to waste any part of any one of them. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Now please go forth, praying and loving on Jesus as you serve Him. Love ya.

Thursday 11/12/15 Assignments (19)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You and I give You all honor and glory for such a nice day with dear friends Grant and Wanda. Please keep them safe and please watch over their family. Father, please help us get Your Word out to all people, and please help me understand how some who say they are Christians do not even know what that word means. Please help me to be steadfast in You, and I know, Lord, I will slip, stumble and even fall, but I want to hang on to You. Please, Lord, help me now with the message and please help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, I knew I would miss some veterans yesterday, and I must note two more today. United States Coast Guard "Spike" Michaud. Also Navy, Dian Lehman (sorry, Dian). Dian is my daughter-in-law. Above in the prayer, when I am telling the Lord I will slip, stumble and even fall, I am not talking about me falling and hitting the ground, I am talking about my walk with Jesus. I do, however, need prayers to keep me from slipping, stumbling, and falling, and so does Dolores. We are both "fall risks." God still has me looking at Assignments so let me get to the message and see where He takes me today.
Thursday: November 12, 2015: Assignments (Day Nineteen)
John 6:1 - Some time after this, Jesus crossed to the far shore of the Sea of Galilee 2 and a great crowd of people followed Him because they saw the miraculous signs He had performed on the sick. 3 Then Jesus went up on a mountainside and sat down with His disciples. 4 The Jewish Passover Feast was near. 5 When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward Him, He said to Philip, "Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?" 6 He asked this only to test Him, for He already had in mind what He was going to do. (NIV)
What were some of your assignments today? Did you have some from God and some from your boss? And of course you had some self-assignments, right? Today our dear friends Grant and Wanda stopped in and we had a great fellowship with them, but before they left, they had a few assignments that we asked them to do. We sat and talked, broke bread together, and before they left they lit the pilot light on our gas heater as I can no longer get on the floor to do that. They closed a few windows in my garage that I could not reach and a few other things. Dolores and I self-assigned to get lunch (hot dogs and beans). So we all can agree that we have self-assignments, assignments from others and assignments from God. Which are the most important? Your assignments from God, of course!!
What if you had people stop in about meal time and you did not have things prepared?
A long time ago I was cooking on New Year's Day, and yes, it was pork and sauerkraut, and I had a really big pork roast. I had it sitting out when Dolores' brother stopped in. He is home with the Lord now. Anyway, he said that smells good, and of course we had plenty so we asked him to stay. And he said no, but can I take some along, I invited a lot of people and did not have enough to feed them, so of course we shared it with him. Sometimes guests show up and you do not want to send them away hungry and neither did Jesus that day. So what did He do? Jesus was talking to Phillip and He just told Phillip to run over to the food store and pick up some fish and bread. No, He did not say that. Jesus said this, "Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?" Jesus was testing Phillip as He already had a plan in place.
John 6:8 - Another one of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, spoke up. 9 "Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?" (NIV)
The Bible tells us there were about five thousand men, women, and children there that day. Andrew was asking Jesus how far this will go. Then Jesus gave this assignment to His disciples.
John 6:10 - Jesus said, "Have the people sit down." There was plenty of grass in the place, and the men (women and children) sat down, about five thousand of them. (NIV)
Then what happened? He said to them, wait until tomorrow to find out. No, I said that for this is enough for today. Do you know what happened? Please try and read John 6:1 through John 6:15 and you will know that answer. I can tell you this, tomorrow on Friday we will have fish.
So the disciples carried out the assignment of Jesus to have the people sit ... I can also tell you this, tomorrow will be sweeter than today.

Salvation Wednesday, Veterans Day, 11/11/15 Assignments (18)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You, and today I give thanks to You for our veterans and also our current military and I ask that You have Your hand upon each one of them, not just today but everyday. It is our Salvation Wednesday and our Veterans Day, dear Lord, help us, help me to reach out through this line to talk to others about Salvation through our Lord Jesus. Lord, I will need even more help today with this message, and I ask in the name of Jesus that You please help me and also help me to get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Dear Veterans, and all my brothers and sisters: It is Salvation Wednesday on this line, and it is Veterans Day. This morning I received a big hug and kiss from a veteran, and I did not even need to leave home to get it. While I will never be able to name all the veterans on this line, I do want to just thank a few, and some might not even be on the line. From my class of 1959, Marine Sargent Major Grant Beck, Air Force Pilot John Zimmerman, both still with us, and Army Chopper Pilot John Holtz, shot down and killed in Vietnam shortly after we got out of school. Now let me thank one of my best friends, Grant Crockett, US Army, served in Vietnam. Glenn Gamber, Army WWII. My son Glenn Daniel Lehman, served on the Flying Fish and the Daniel Webster, they are submarines. (My middle name is Webster. No, the sub was not named after me.) Here are a few others. Air Force: Charles Wotring, Dolores Lehman. Navy: Sharon Saylor, Oliver Ogden, Tom Mozer. Former Air Force 193rd Chaplain Pastor Major Richard Denison. Two others I want to bring out. The late Glenn Witmer and Harold Goddard, both Navy and home with Jesus. Again, I can't remember them all right now, so if I missed an old friend, I am sorry. I plead old age.
Brothers and sisters, the best thing the very best thing we could do for our veterans is to be sure they have Jesus in their hearts, be sure they are saved and are going home to be with Jesus. Now let me get to the message. At the end of the message there will be a reprint of something I wrote this past Independence Day.
Salvation Wednesday, November 11, 2015, Veterans Day: Assignments (Day Eighteen)
2 Chronicles 7:14 - If my people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (NIV)
Brothers and sisters, it looks to me like our assignment for today from God is to turn from our sin and pray and seek the face of God, which means to me, come to the cross and bring Jesus into your life and get filled with the Holy Ghost. Here are a few questions.
Does our land need healed? It should be an easy answer, just watch the news one day and you will know our land needs healed. That is what happens when we throw God out of places like our schools, our government buildings, stores, and even now Starbucks who took Christmas decorations off their coffee cup. Brothers and sisters, are you afraid to say the name of JESUS in public? I am not afraid to say Jesus wherever I might be. Jesus is my Lord and Savior, and He saved my soul. With that said, we also have a lot, a lot of men and women who gave up their lives to keep our country free. Jesus keeps and protects our soul, our military protects our country. Last night outside of the place where the Republican debates were held, some people burned an American flag. Here in America that is called free speech. Also two people were shown on tape taking down our flag and the POW flag, one was up the pole
Dare an old pastor say this on this line one time? This is bullshit!!! There, I said it, forgive me, Lord, if that was wrong. We need to support our veterans and also support those who will be veterans soon. I am not a veteran, but that does not mean I can't support them.
Morning Mayor of WHP 580 radio R.J. Harris was born on Veterans Day, but he is not a veteran. I do not know of any one person who is not a veteran who supports our veterans and our military more than R.J. does. Thanks. R.J. Here is the reprint from summer with a few updates. We will sign off and sing after that.
Today we are TRULY ONE NATION UNDER GOD, and I love it, don't you?
America, One Nation Under God, from its fields of rich earth, filled with lots of good things to eat, from its mountains filled with beautiful trees and lots and lots of wildlife, with fresh springs feeding into streams, then into creeks and into mighty rivers and then our oceans, all filled with lots of fish and such to eat.
America, One Nation Under God, where large cities have been built, and small towns still strive, where Andy can still be sheriff after all these years. From factories that build cars and trucks to offices that house doctors and nurses. You get the picture, or at least you should.
America, One Nation Under God, where folks of all sizes and colors have come together to live. Sort of reminds me of that song I learned in Bible School. Red and yellow, black and white, they are special in His sight, Jesus loves the little children of the world. And you can find God's children from all over the world calling America home. I am one of those kids.
America, One Nation Under God, and He blessed us well. We could survive on what God has given this country and would not need to bring in anything from other countries if we cared to do that. We would also have enough left over to help other countries who either don't have things to eat or would sooner fight each other than learn to grow their own food.
America, a country that only could be built by God but needed so many men and women to keep us free.
America, on this Independence Day, 2015, I would like to say thank you to all those who have served in our military from the beginning to this day. Brave men and women who fought in battle or supported those who did. My daddy, who did not go into the military, but gave up his teaching job during WW2 to make tires for airplanes. Some people say today that our veterans are getting few and far between, and that is NOT SO. The fact is we have many veterans, some of whom have lost their arms and/or legs fighting in the wars we are in right now. Some of them are just 18 years old! Some are in their 90's or even older. And some gave their lives!
America, One Nation Under God, and I wish to thank God this day for my personal freedom, for God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, gave me that, and NO ONE, I SAID NO ONE, CAN TAKE IT AWAY. My Salvation is sealed with the Blood of our Lord Jesus. Is yours?
America, One Nation Under God, and today I want to thank all of the fine men and women of today's Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marines, and Navy. I wish to thank the fine men and women of our reserve units, the 28th and 193rd and others from this area.
America, One Nation Under God, and today I would like to thank all of those people who work to support those warriors of America. Let me start with the families of our military and then move on to those who work hard on the military bases, like those in our area. Those who work and study at the Army War College in Carlisle, PA. And those who work at the Army and Navy supply depots in our area. Also those who work and train at Fort Indiantown Gap. I also want to thank the men and women who work at Military hospitals all over the country and pray that service would improve. I want to thank ladies like Sharon Saylor and Dolores Lehman who refer to each other as Navy and Air Force. Both retired, but out of respect Dolores calls Sharon "Navy" as she is a Navy veteran, and she calls my wife "Air Force" as Dolores served our country in the Air Force and the 193rd.
America, One Nation Under God, where a few, just a few, of the people who are free because of God and all of our military want to have the name of God removed from our Pledge to Our Flag. Folks, look back up over the list, for if it were not for God there would be no America, none, and if it were not for the men and women of our militaries over the years we might be speaking another language. MIGHT? Might nothing, we would be!
America, One Nation Under God, where each day hundreds of people are trying to sneak in and others are trying to kill us out of rage for what we have, and have protected, and yes, what we give away to others.
America, One Nation Under God, only in America where a young Army Major named David would stop and check in on us on his way from Carlisle to Fort Indiantown Gap to say thank you to us for helping the needy and to say thank you to me and others for the things he learned in Vacation Bible School where I met this Major.
AMERICA, ONE NATION UNDER GOD, look around you today and maybe just right now take time to say, THANK YOU, GOD, FOR AMERICA, AND THANK YOU, GOD, FOR THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE PROTECTED IT. Please remember the police and firefighters who keep us safe on the homefront and those Merchant Marines who transport the goods to our warriors.
AMERICA, ONE NATION UNDER GOD, where you can STILL PRAY OUT LOUD, even when some people want to change it to silent prayer. Say it with me, please. THANK YOU, FATHER!!
AMERICA, ONE NATION UNDER GOD, Stand up for her or if you don't like it, I invite you to leave, no one is holding you back get out if you don't like it and I dare you to find a place that is better. And after you have been to any other country in the world, please write and tell me if it is better or not. I invite you BACK TO AMERICA, ONE NATION UNDER GOD. Welcome Home.
AMERICA, ONE NATION UNDER GOD. YESTERDAY AND TODAY AND FOREVER, AS LONG AS WE STAY ONE NATION UNDER GOD. For when the time comes we trash God too much, no military, not even the best of the best, our United States Military, will be able to protect us from the "WRATH OF GOD." And I think we get close to that on some days. People shooting up churches to cause race to come against race. Kids shooting each other in our cities and even Sheriff Andy would need to wear body armor today.
AMERICA, ONE NATION UNDER GOD, I LOVE YOU, LORD. I LOVE YOU, JESUS, AND YES, I LOVE YOU, AMERICA. And I love all of you.
Pastor Daniel W. Lehman: Independence Day 2015: Updated for Veterans Day 2015
You are welcome to forward this message.
Okay, back live today. Pray with me please.
Dear Father in Heaven, we really need You and today I pray all on this line are praying for our land to be healed. Lord, please start by healing our hearts and then our land. Help us to stand arm in arm with our Jewish brothers and sisters in our homeland, the place where our Lord Jesus walked. Help us, Lord, please help us. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Please go forth now, loving and serving Jesus and thanking our veterans. Love ya.

The Star Spangled Banner (Francis Scott Key, 1779-1843)
Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
what so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight
o'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air
gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that Star Spangled Banner yet wave
o'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
AMEN

Tuesday 11/10/15 Assignments (17)
Dear Father in Heaven: I am thankful this day that I have a loving Father who watches over me. I love You. Thank You, Lord, for the rain. Praising You that it is not snow. However, Thy will be done, Lord. Thanks for watching over those on our prayer list. Father, protect Your people. Please, Lord, be in our cities. Lord, right now in our State House they want to put in more gambling places to pay bills. Lord, just another strike against what You stand for. Help me to follow You. Please help me with a message and please help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, today is the 240th birthday of the United States Marines. If you look at those numbers, you will find the Marines were serving the United States before we became a nation. I want to get to the Assignments.
Tuesday: November 10, 2015: Assignments (Day Seventeen)
John 15:25 - "All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Counselor, The Holy Spirit, whom The Father will send in My Name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." (NIV)
Today my earthly assignment was to go to the dentist. What an adventure, I will write about that someday.
As for our Heavenly Assignments, the Counselor that we talked about yesterday is indeed The Holy Spirit. Now we see the Holy Spirit coming to us with His assignment. His assignment is to teach us all things and to remind us of everything Jesus has told us. But wait, you say, Jesus did not tell us anything ... Yes, He did, and it is recorded in the Bible. I also want you to notice the way the Big Three work together. No, I am not talking about Ford, Chrysler, and General Motors, I am talking about "The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit."
Jesus asks His Father to send The Holy Spirit, and it is sent in Jesus' Name. While I have in the past in this series talked about Assignments of God The Father, and I have talked about God The Son, Jesus, today will be the first time I talked about an assignment of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is to carry out the work of our Lord Jesus as He has left us and left the Holy Spirit with us. "He will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." Yes, Jesus will never leave us or forsake us, because The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit act as one. Gets deep, right? Think about it, folks, and if you have questions, please ask, and if I cannot answer them I will call on some of the pastors that are on this line to help me. Okay, time to stop for today, and to get ready for tomorrow, VETERANS DAY. So what to sing today. Well, you could sing the Marines Hymn, but I will sing this one. And please think of "this place as your heart."
Holy Spirit, Thou Art Welcome (Dottie Rambo, David Huntsinger)
(yes, we have done this one before)
Holy Spirit, thou art welcome in this place.
Holy Spirit, thou art welcome in this place.
Omnipotent Father of mercy and grace,
Thou art welcome in this place.
Holy Spirit, thou art welcome in this place.
Holy Spirit, thou art welcome in this place.
Omnipotent Father of mercy and grace,
Thou art welcome in this place.
Dear Father in Heaven: Please send the Holy Spirit into our hearts, into our homes, and into every place we go. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and please serve Jesus. Love ya.

Monday 11/9/15 Assignments (16)
Dear Father in Heaven: Thanks for a great night's rest. Thanks for waking us this day, and know, Dear Lord, that in this home, You are loved and You are head of this household. I do love You and give You praise for our daily bread, our daily food and for the use of this line. Please, Lord, hear our prayers for healing this day. For Glenn Gamber, Matthew Lehman, also Vicki and others on our recent prayer lists. Please, Lord, help me with the daily message and please, Lord, then help me to dispatch it. Thanks again for trusting me to work for You. In Jesus' Name, I give praise and ask my prayers. Amen.
Good morning, brothers and sisters, it is another beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. Please keep praying for Glenn and Marie and their family. Our dear Matthew is back in the hospital. Please keep him in your prayers. I am still working on assignments. As you know, we have closed our food pantry. However, we are still finding ways to help others. God is good. Praise Him. Now to the message.
Monday: November 9, 2015: Assignments (Day Sixteen)
John 14:15 - "If you love Me, you will obey what I command. 16 And I will ask The Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever." (NIV)
Dear brothers and sisters, we all have those earthly assignments and often they are the same day to day. You know, get up, get your shower, and don't forget to wash behind your ears. Then we have other assignments that we might not know from day to day what they are going to be. I think of firefighters, some paid, many doing it for the love of community. Assignments to keep the equipment clean and ready to go. And while that assignment might be the same some days, those men and women never know when that bell or alarm will sound. Out of bed in the middle of the night. Assignment, first to save lives, and then to put out a fire or help at an accident. Police officers never get the same assignments except to report to work. Different each day, and then the paper work. So we know about earthly assignments.
In our scripture today there are three assignments. One assignment is from Jesus to us, and the other is really for Jesus. Let us take a good look. Our assignment is simple, or should be. "If we love Jesus, we will obey what He commands." But wait a minute, I love Jesus, I really do, but every now and then I mess up and do not obey one of His commands. That of course is then called a sin, and then if we really love Jesus and do not obey a command He forgives us, He cleans the slate for us. PRAISE GOD, THANK YOU, JESUS.
So what then is the assignment assigned to Jesus? "I will ask The Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever." It looks to me like Jesus is assigning Himself this job, to ask The Father and then it looks to me like Jesus is making an assignment for His Father in Heaven to carry out. Wow, that makes the third assignment. Do you look at it about that same way? Oh, I could preach on this one. Jesus is assigning Himself the duty of calling on His Father. And He knows of course His Father will listen to Him and carry out the assignment. The assignment of God The Father is to send us another Counselor, and that Counselor will be with us forever.
Trying to make this easy to understand when typing takes some time. You see, Jesus did leave us, and He went to be with His Father in Heaven. He is not here on earth with us, so when we ask Jesus into our hearts it is this other Counselor that will come in. Who is this other Counselor? You should know, but do you?
Tomorrow we will look at that assignment and have a song to sing with that. Also for tomorrow, Happy Birthday to our Marines, 240 years old.
Through It All, Andrae Crouch
Through it all, through it all,
Oh, I've learned to trust in Jesus.
I've learned to trust in God.
Through it all, through it all.
Oh, I've learned to depend upon His Word.
Through it all, through it all,
Oh, I've learned to trust in Jesus.
I've learned to trust in God.
Through it all, through it all.
Oh, I've learned to depend upon His Word.
Dear Father in Heaven, I have learned to trust in You and also in Jesus, but I need to build even more trust and more faith. Please, Lord, help me to grow in my love for You. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth loving and sharing Jesus with others. Love ya.

Through it all, through it all,
Oh, I've learned to trust in Jesus.
I've learned to trust in God.
Through it all, through it all.
Oh, I've learned to depend upon His Word.

Saturday 11/7/15 Assignments (15)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You, and I give You praise and honor for our great-grandson Emmett, who we got to hold today and pray for. What a beautiful child, Lord. Lord, we thank You for all of our family and we pray You will keep them all safe. Please, Lord, help me with a message this day and help me to get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, our daughter Danelle, grandson Tyler, and our great-grandson Emmett stopped in today and besides a few other things we opened Santa's House. I put on the Santa hat and with Mrs. Claus beside me, Emmett got his picture taken with Santa, was anointed with oil and prayed for. He was also given a Bible.
Besides purchasing Bibles for other countries, we are purchasing the Read and Grow Bibles with Bible stories along with the pictures. What great Bibles. I want to move on with the message today. So let me get to it. What was your assignment today?
Saturday: November 7, 2015: Assignments (Day Fifteen)
John 14:6 - Jesus answered, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (NIV)
God The Father gave an assignment to Jesus to show us all the way to get to Heaven. Besides confessing and inviting Jesus into our hearts, we also need to learn other things. This scripture points out a lot of things and I might have used it already in this series, and that is okay. Thee are many messages in one scripture verse.
Here we find Jesus who had comforted His disciples, and yes, we are His disciples also. He also had to tell them the way home, the way to Heaven.
My assignment today from Jesus is to be sure you also know the way home and of course that is through Jesus. I also want to bring this out. So many people, when praying, and moreso if they are praying in public or at a meeting, they are told not to use the name of Jesus. I have heard many, many times people when they finish praying say something like this. "In His name I pray," and I will be saying "who's He?" Of course I know, but do all others?
When I look over this scripture, I personally feel that it does not just mean for when we want to go to heaven, we must of course go through Jesus, but I think it also means that when we pray, if we want Jesus to deliver that prayer to His Father, we need to pray to the Father and then "put it through Jesus." I mean after all, it does say, Jesus answered, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Does it not? Anyway, I feel that is what God wants me to tell you this day, so there it is.
Today as we look at a song, this one was my Mamma's favorite and one of mine. I oftentimes years and years ago when taking an early morning walk would sing this as I walked past the Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery which was near where I worked. I also often go to our "Rock of Hope" in our front yard alone and I will sing this hymn. Will you please join me "In The Garden."
In The Garden (C. Austin Miles 1868-1946)
I come to the garden alone
while the dew is still on the roses,
and the voice I hear falling on my ear,
The Son of God discloses.
And He walks with me and He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own.
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
He speaks and the sound of His voice
is so sweet the birds hush their singing.
And the melody that He gave to me
within my heart is ringing.
And He walks with me and He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own.
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
And He walks with me and He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own.
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
Dear Father in Heaven, I love those quiet minutes with You when I can sing and hear Your voice. I seems when we are alone it is the very best time to listen to You. Lord, I do not do this often enough. Maybe others on this line, Lord, feel the same way and will spend more time with You listening and singing. I love You and pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Now go forth and please serve Jesus. Love ya.
Pastor Dan
Let us sing it again.

Thursday 11/5/15 Assignments (13)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You. Thanks for all the blessings You are sending our way. Thanks for another beautiful day, Lord. Lord, please be with our son Matthew in the hospital. Please also keep Your healing hand on Glenn and Marie, on Justine, and also on Julie. Praise You, Jesus, for answering prayers. Lord, please also be with Angel, our oldest Yorkshire. Thanks for hearing our prayers about all things we pray for, even our animals as You have trusted them to us for care. Lord, please bless me now with another message and please help me to get it dispatched. In the Name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, please keep praying for those on our prayer list. Once again we ask for prayers for our son Matthew as he is going to a hospital. We will keep you posted. We think it is for medication adjustments. As for our Yorkie, she is in the doggie hospital. We had Martin, Martin, Jr. and Angel to the vet this morning and Angel is being held over for dental work. I wish I had gone to the vet for my teeth. It would have cost less than Aspen Dental. Brothers and sisters, it is still like summer, and you readers who are down south (Bobbie, Art, Elaine), want to come up here to keep warm? Well, I need to get to the message. Still working on Assignments.
Thursday: November 5, 2015: Assignments (Day Thirteen)
John 14:1 - "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in Me. 2 In My Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back an take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am." (NIV)
Today I had a few earthly assignments, some are the same each day. Clean up after animals, feed them, and also feed the "wild cats," those cats nobody wants. (Yes, they have all been fixed.) Other assignments we had today, to take the dogs to the dogtor. Tomorrow, one assignment will be to pick up Angel.
Today our scripture talks about another assignment for us from Jesus, and also assignments from God The Father for Jesus to carry out. In John 14:1 Jesus is telling his disciples, and we are the disciples of today, our assignment. "Do not let our hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in Me." Again, we are told to Trust, and we are not to be troubled. In John 14:2, Jesus is telling us that in His Father's house there are many rooms, and He is going there to prepare a place for us. So we can clearly see that Jesus does not just give out assignments, He also gets them. And then this.
John 14:3 - "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I WILL COME BACK AND TAKE YOU TO BE WITH ME." Praise You, Jesus, Thank You, Jesus. What a great assignment that Jesus has from God to come back for us who believe, and what a great promise that He gives to all of us who truly believe. I know that God has promised us many things, but coming back for us someday to me is one of, if not the greatest promise made to us. I would love to hear your opinion on that promise of Jesus. Look at this song:
Coming Again (Mosie Lister)
Jesus is coming; Jesus is coming.
Jesus is coming, He's coming again.
In clouds of glory, bright clouds of glory.
In clouds of glory, He's coming again.
We'll rise to meet Him, rise up to meet Him;
We'll rise to meet Him, He's coming again.
We shall be like Him, we shall be like Him:
We shall be like Him, He's coming again.
Oh, hallelujah! Oh, hallelujah!
Oh, hallelujah! He's coming again.
Jesus is coming; Jesus is coming.
Jesus is coming, He's coming again.
In clouds of glory, bright clouds of glory.
In clouds of glory, He's coming again.
We'll rise to meet Him, rise up to meet Him;
We'll rise to meet Him, He's coming again.
We shall be like Him, we shall be like Him:
We shall be like Him, He's coming again.
Oh, hallelujah! Oh, hallelujah!
Oh, hallelujah! He's coming again.
Dear Father in Heaven, help me to be ready and help me to witness to others so that when the day comes when You send our sweet Jesus back, we will be ready. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
Now go forth and please serve Jesus. Love ya.

Salvation Wednesday 11/4/15 Assignments (12)
Dear Father in Heaven: It is Salvation Wednesday on this line, dear Lord. Please help us to witness to others so they come to You before it is too late. I love You, Lord Jesus, and I give thanks for another night of rest and another beautiful day here on earth. Thanks for hearing our prayers both silent and spoken. Thanks for this line and protecting it from the hackers. Please, Lord, keep that blessing upon us. Lord, please bless me with another message and please help me to dispatch it. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, another beautiful day here at the Southern Location of the North Pole. It is time to put out the antique sleigh in the yard and it looks like summer. It is a bonus day when you do not need the AC or heat. You do know, of course, God hears our prayers even if they are silent prayers? However, when asked to just pause for a moment of silence in a group without bringing the prayer to an opening or a closing in the name of Jesus, to me is wrong. Today one of my earthly assignments was to see the trash was at the curb. Today was a day I needed also to bless our trash gentleman and trash lady. Yes, and they are both just what I called them. I was waiting for them as I had a lot of heavy things curbside, and I wanted to purchase their lunch. Have you ever tipped your trash haulers? You talk about serving others, hanging out on the back of those trucks in all kinds of weather. These are God's folks serving others. I look back to my days of childhood when we put all garbage in one can and all trash in another. The garbage went to feed the hogs. I also know about the pay on that garbage truck, it was $1.00 a day and "all you could eat." I just can't help myself some days. Up to the part of the pay, it was fact. The garbage went to a hog farm and fed the pigs. Now you cannot do that. Let me tell you pigs will not eat what might harm them. I know that for at one time we raised them. That was a long time ago. Anyway, I do need to get to the message or my assignment from God which is to write this line. It is Salvation Wednesday, so please work harder today to lead people to Jesus.
Salvation Wednesday: November 4, 2015: Assignments (Day Twelve)
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish by have eternal life." (NIV)
Today I already mentioned that one of my earthly assignments was to drag out the trash. I also have a daily assignment from God to write a message. I do not always get them done, but I really try hard to get six of them out a week. I can only do that with the help of God, for He is the One who furnishes me with the words to type. He has even sent others to help me learn to spell. Speaking of which, the daily messages are still retyped by Pamela Bower and posted on our blogspot. The blogspot address is www.carrythelight4jesus.blogspot.com. You can go there at any time if you miss a day and want to look back at what you might have missed.
With that said, I try and do my best to write things out as God gives them to me. Today in our scripture it tells us about how God loved us, meaning all of us, the whole big wide world that He gave His Son for us, which makes the most important part of why Jesus was sent to this earth. Yes, Jesus had assignments to carry out also, and they came from God The Father, who would be not just the Father of Jesus in Heaven, but the same Father who is our heavenly Father. How would you like to have an assignment which was to "go and die on a tree so others might live"? I know our military are assigned to go into areas where over the years so many have died for us, but none was just assigned to die.
The day the World Trade Buildings came down, so many, many lives of police officers and firefighters and first responders gave their lives, but their chief did not say, go in there and die. Those who went in gave of their lives and they are real earthly heroes, but again, only one was sent to die. And He was sent to die for everyone, everyone, everyone. His mission was to save us, to save all of us. We all know the rules, or should, to be saved. To take advantage of the assignment of Jesus on the cross, we must make up our own minds if we want to be saved. That is a no-brainer to me, but for some, they must think about it. Pastor Rick Denison once told me "he was asked by a youth when he had to be saved to get into heaven, and Pastor Rick told the youth, it must be done before you die." But since not one single one of us knows when that will come, please do not put it off until it is too late. And Pastor Rick told the youth something like that. In fact, today, once again I want to offer up the sinners' prayer, so if someone would read this who is not saved, today maybe will be their day. Please pray again today with me either to come to Jesus or to rededicate yourself to Him.
Dear Father in Heaven, I confess that I am a sinner and I also confess that I want to be in heaven someday with You. I believe in Jesus, I believe He died on the cross and I do believe that on the third day He was risen from the grave. I believe it and according to Your Word in Romans 10 verses 9 and 10 that if I confess and believe I will be saved. Save me now, please, I ask and I do that in the Name of Jesus.

Tuesday 11/3/15 Assignments (11)
Dear Father in Heaven: I love You, and I give You all honor and glory for another beautiful day and for answering prayers along the way. You are so great and wonderful and all honor and glory to You for answering those prayers. Lord, we do have a few new prayer requests today for healing of Justine and for Julie. We want to praise You for Glenn being up and walking and we ask that You keep Your hand upon both Glenn and Marie and their family. Dear Father, without You I could not even begin to write messages. Please, Lord, bless me again today with a message and please help me to get it dispatched. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Dear brothers and sisters, two new names on the prayer list, Justine, who is our granddaughter, and Julie, who is our next door neighbor. Justine is going for tests tomorrow. Please keep her in prayers. Julie, our next door neighbor, a single mother of two teen sons, fell and broke her ankle. So pray, warriors, pray. Well, it was election day, and as we vote, we must remember that in all things God is in control. If I told you all the prayers that were answered for Dolores and me today as we traveled I would need to write a book. But I must tell you about a couple. Dolores and I went to vote, and coming out of the church where we vote we saw State Rep. Steve Bloom. Before he was elected for his first term a year ago I was in the yard on my tractor mowing lawn. He came behind the house and I prayed for him and anointed him with oil. Today we talked about it and he was with another State Rep. I do not know his name. The other one said I need prayers also and right there outside in front of God and all those coming and going to the polls were four people in a circle praying and two were state reps. PRAISE THE LORD, no one can tell us not to pray when or where we might be. When someone asks for prayer, grab their hand and do it. And all of you can do that. I do want to get to the message on Assignments, and today our earthly assignment was to vote. But what about one from the Bible? Come on, let us look.
Tuesday: November 3, 2015: Assignments (Day Eleven)
Matthew 6:15 - "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?" (NIV)
Well, brothers and sisters, the assignment to go vote was sure a lot easier to do than the assignment we get from the Bible. I mean we got up today, and yes, that is not easy anymore, to get up, get through a shower and get dressed and get out early, or at least not easy for us. But when someone tells you not to worry, well, that is a hard one. More so I think if you have children. While I know I have written about this in the past, I mean this one is hard.
Do not worry about your life, Jesus tells us. Well, I think we do all worry or should I say have concern about our lives, but all the worry cannot add a day to our lives. I mean while that is true, we still worry or have concern. When you have children you have these concerns about them as they grow up. You think when they leave home the worries will stop? No! They grow, however, as a parent, your concerns never go away, you always have these concerns. If you have parents, you are concerned about them also. Sometimes you can only pray for them and be there if they need you. Other times you can find ways to help. And these concerns grow. As a pastor, I have preached on this, I have told people to lay down the burdens and give them over to Jesus. I myself have been to the altar of churches with concerns and worries and laid them down, and it seems when we get back up we reach down and pick up the worries and take them with us.
Learning to trust Jesus to carry our worries and concerns is very, very hard, but we who believe know it is always best, and we should be praying for His will to be done. I can remember standing in a cemetery one day getting ready for a graveside service. I looked at the grace which was open. Then the funeral director pulled up and family gathered. The smallest casket I had ever seen was brought, inside two one-day old twins. Oh, this funeral was so very, very hard. Why, Lord, why? I said over and over again. Yet it was His will. There around that small casket I got to tell all those gathered about salvation. You see, those babies were already with Jesus, and my job became to tell others about salvation. Still I am sure not much comfort to the parents and grandparents and other family members. So we must learn or do our very best to put FULL TRUST IN GOD and try not to worry. Easier said than done, but we for sure must try. That day, all those gathered came to Jesus, as we prayed the sinners' prayer.
Hold tightly to Jesus, brothers and sisters. It is the best ride we will have until we get to heaven. Just one or two verses of this old hymn today.
Trust and Obey, John H. Sammis, 1846/1919, Daniel B. Tower, 1850/1919
When we walk with the Lord in the Light of His Word,
what a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
But we never can prove the delights of His love
until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows and the joy He bestows
are for them who will trust and obey.
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
or we'll walk by His side in the way:
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go.
Never fear, only trust and obey.
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
Dear Father, please help us to learn more and more each day to trust You and to obey You in all that we do. We just need to lean on You more. Help us. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.
Now go forth and please walk and trust Jesus. Love ya.
